Adelle had decided she was bored with her previous wardrobe. That is, she no longer enjoyed dressing in just tights and plaid shirts and had managed to give all of her clothes to the thrift store or friends or her new little sister Cabonna, even the ones that she hadn't worn yet; for some reason, she figured that she wasn't going to need them. No less, most of them hadn't fit anymore anyway. When she grew, she'd only gotten a few clothes.
What brought her out here, though, was something different, something new and foreign and wondrous: Her grandfather's credit card. She was rushing in and out of stores excitedly, looking for things she might want to buy but not doing so just yet, as though waiting to use the first swipe of the card on something really meaningful; something that really caught her eye and didn't relinquish its hold for a moment.
Something like that. It was an adorable, wide-skirted white dress with little black speckles, a waist ribbon, and black trim along the top of the bust. She let out an adorably giddy laugh and ran up to the display, thieving one in her size and running into the dressing room. She emerged a few moments later, looking herself over before pouting. If there was one thing she absolutely needed, it was a second opinion. Sneaking out to the area with a few more mirrors that was open into the rest of the store, she smiled, waiting for at least one comment of the dress looking good as she looked herself over in a three-view mirror.

Llujah was in heaven. Countless clothing stores surrounded him and invited him into their warm, merchandise filled goodness. As such, he was constantly on the move, running in and out of stores and dodging more people than he could count to find a perfect new addition to his ensemble of clothes. He had already picked out a few new pieces with the money that he received from his mother, but none of them seemed to be perfect. And so far that perfect piece had eluded him.
The little boy walked into one more store, eyes always looking around for something that would completely catch his interest. He scanned the racks and the displays until he found it: a small dress with a purple, lavender, and gray skirt, and a black top. Llujah's eyes sparkled as he reached up to grab the item that he now needed and he fell short. The sparkling eyes were now lowered in determination, and Llujah reached up once more on tip-toe for the dress, but he fell short once more, losing his balance and toppling over.
The small eyes filled with tears after he hit the ground and nearly crashed into the display. But, now more determined than ever, the boy blinked the tears away and rushed through the store, trying to find someone tall enough to get him his prize. His journey landed him in the dressing rooms, and he looked around for someone to help him when he saw a strange looking older girl come out of one of the rooms. She was wearing a very pretty white dress with black dots and trim and a black ribbon, and she was tall enough to get the dress Llu wanted! The boy strode up to her and smiled. "Pretty lady, can you help me get a dress tha' I want?"

Adelle jumped a bit when the boy spoke to her and she spun around, the bottom of the dress swirling out almost to the point of flashing the people around her; not that she noticed that, of course. She giggled sweetly. "Of course, just give me one second to get my clothes back on," she said with a smile, and it was literally no more than a few seconds before she was back out in a red plaid shirt where the dress had been, sheer tights covering her legs and the dress she'd been wearing hooked over her arm.
"So where's the dress that you wanted?" she asked with a soft smile, allowing the adorable little spawn to lead the way, able to tell that he was at the very least related to her uncle Aludra, with the pink hair, and Vincent with the jewelies on him. Adelle blinked in surprise, however, when she realized what the little skirted boy had been asking for. "Wait, you wan'na dress?" she asked, tipping her head to the side. "But you're a little boy; why do you want to be wearing dresses?"

Llujah watched the girl with slight interest as she spun around to face him. The dress she wore looked really pretty on her, but as she spun, Llujah caught sight of what looked like... wings on the girl's back. The boy's hand reached up to finger his halo by his head absentmindedly then smiled at the girl as she changed into her original clothes. Llu took her hand and lead he out of the dressing rooms and into the aisles. "It's this way! C'mon!"
He dragged the girl through the store until they stopped at the display with the dress on it. Llujah's eyes sparkled once again and he pointed excitedly at the dress. "There! It's tha' one!" He grinned up at the girl, then frowned. "Yeah, I wan' the dress! It's really pretty! Don' you think so?" He smiled. "An' I like dresses! They're really comfy and much prettier than pants!" Llujah made a face at the word "pants." SO uncomfortable.

Adelle was tugged down slightly by the toddler's height, making sure it was the working hand that he took hold of, and followed him to wherever it was he was going. She looked up at the dress with interest and smiled, looking down at the boy and giggling; he was so absolutely adorable!! If only he was purchasable, then she would buy him in a heartbeat! She wanted one! She wanted TEN!!
"You've got a point. Actually, you've got a lot'ta points!" she said, giggling a bit. "But I still like wearing pants even though they're uncomfortable sometimes. You can find some really, really, really pretty ones, too, like with jewelies on them or pretty designs on the legs. Those are the kinds my Mama buys me!" she informed the boy happily. She stepped up toward the display and reeeached up to grab the dress, handing it down to him and smiling. "Do you have the money or do we need to find your mom? Or dad. Or do you just want me to buy it?" she finally offered, laughing sweetly in her naive way.

Llujah liked this older girl already. She was pretty, tall, and Llu could bet that she knew a lot about clothes! Plus, she was nice as well. "Yeah, I guess! I got a few pants tha' I wear, but only if they're real real real pretty! If not, I don' wear 'em." Llujah giggled and swayed back and forth, small wings fluttering and tail twitching. As he looked at the older girl, he noticed more things about her, like her little tentacle-thingies and her metal wings. He also noticed something stranger: she only had three fingers on one hand. His eyes were focused on her hand for a split second, then his attention turned back to the girl in whole.
"Money? Yeah, I gots money! I got lots! Here, see!" Llu's hand dug down into his skirt pocket and he revealed two twenty dollar bills and one ten dollar bill. He held them out to her proudly. "See! I got... a lot. I don't know how many. Bu' I think it'll be 'nough for that pretty dress! Bu' I can't reach it..." Llujah looked at the girl unexpectedly and then smiled. "I'm Llujah, by the way? What's your name?"

Adelle giggled happily at the boy's absolutely adorable, grinning and petting his hair, resisting the urge to ruffle it like crazy. "Betcha I can help you find other kindsa pants you'd like~" she teased, phrasing it like a challenge. She knew enough different stores and brands to know what kinds of jeans were so super pretty that anyone would wear them.
...'cept maybe Fitzroy.
With the distance between them, the lust spawn's tentacles couldn't reach him, which was a win/lose situation. On one hand, he couldn't be coddled by Kammy, whereas on the other hand, he couldn't be attacked by Sutry. Adelle nodded at the amount of money that the child carried, mildly impressed that someone that young would be trusted with so much, and she lifted herself up to get the dress, which she then handed out to the boy. "That's a lot, a lot, alright. And, um, I think it's enough for the dress, but I dun'no. I'm not very good at maths, though; mostly Fitzyroy does it for me. Oh! An' my name's Adelle. Adelle Marianna By'arre! S'nice t'meet you, 'Llujah."

Llujah smiled and swished his tail from side to side happily as Adelle petted his hair. He grinned at her. "Really? Tha'd be so so so socool! I bet you c'n find the best pants ever!" The toddler didn't quite understand the older girl's teasing tone, but he could certainly tell that she wanted to get him things, which automatically made her okay in Llu's book.
The toddler looked at the money in his hands proudly and stuffed it back in his skirt pocket. "Mmhmm! My mama trusts me lots unless I get in trouble. She won't let me hold th' money aft'r that no mores." He pondered on that thought and pouted at the idea of getting punished and was brought back to reality by Adelle getting him the dress. The toddler's eyes seemed to sparkle as he gazed lovingly at the dress. He smiled at the older girl, and she looked at her curiously when she mentioned a "Fiztyroy." Llujah recognized that name somehow... "Fitz... Fitzyroy?"

"'Course!! We'll do that after we buy this dress so that you can have it and you can have new pants and everything, but I have to buy my dress, too, so I guess we can just do that all at the same time!!" Adelle said happily with a smile on her face, gesturing for the boy to follow her to the check-out line. This store, more often than not, had more dresses than it did pants, so she would show the boy a store that had the best pants that she believed you could find anywhere in the world. Or, at least the best pants you could find in town.
"Well that's good. My Mama'nd I don't have lotsa money, but my grandpa gots a lot of money 'cause he gots a big company that his parents gived him when he was a li'l bit younger than my Mama. He doesn't have to do anythin' and he still makes money!!" she said, still astonished with that fact herself. The eight-fingered girl nodded at the comment about Fitzyroy. "MmHmm, Fitzyroy. Well, really his name is Fitzroy, but I like callin' him Fitzyroy. He's real, real nice and he's my bestest, bestest friend EVER."

Llujah wiggled happily as he followed Adelle to the check-out counter. He kept his eyes on his special dress most of the time while eying the other merchandise. He smiled at the older girl once in a while, not paying much attention to what she was saying until she mentioned "Fitzyroy" again. "Yeah yeah! Fitzyroy! I know 'im! He's real real real nice! Mmhmm! An' he gave me dis!" The toddler held out his right wrist and displayed a small keychain with a Chain Chomp on it that was indeed a gift from the Gluttony-Liberality boy.
Llu continued to follow Adelle around, bouncing on his toes, when he tugged on one of her tentacles. "'Delle? When 're we gunna g't me some pwetty pants? I wan' some now!" He wagged his tail impatiently and he gripped the money in his hands.

"Oh, yes, Fitzyroy is the nicest person that anyone could ever meet in their whole life!" Adelle said happily, silently apologizing to all of the friends that she may have dissed in saying that aloud. When the bracelet was displayed, Adelle squeaked cutely, moving them through the line and paying for what they'd gotten. "Oh my goodness, that's so cute!!" she said happily, giggling over it a bit more before they had their bags, having just left the store.
It was a mix of blames when Llujah tugged on Sutry instead of Kammy, and the angry little tentacle smacked hard against him. Adelle jumped, her bag falling out of her arms and the dresses spilling on the ground as she jumped to the boy's side, wings fluttering worriedly.
"Oh, Llujah, I'm so sorry!! I should'a said something, I forgot. Sutry isn't very nice, see, and Kammy's the nicer one and I'm so, so, so, so, SO sorry that I didn't tell you before!!" Adelle said in a panic before taking his hand, shoving her things back in their bag and leading him to the store with the really nice pants. "Here, I'll buy you any pants you want, as many pants as you want!!" she exclaimed, pulling him toward the pants in his size as she continued to hope that she hadn't messed up big time.

Llujah smiled, nodded, and giggled happily in agreement. "Yeah! I like Fitzyroy a lot, a lot, a lot! He's real real nice and... and yeah." He couldn't think of much more to say about the Gluttony-Liberality spawn he met at the arcade, but the impression was still there. He smiled as Adelle commented on his keychain. "Mmhmm! It's a Chain Chomp! It's f'om a video game tha' my mama plays a lot."
Llu felt a hard smack against his cheek from the angry little tentacle. He fell to the floor, clutching where he was hit, crying. It really stung, and Llujah had never been hit like that before. He began sobbing. He was lifted up by Adelle and led out of the store into the nice pants store. He looked up a the displays of the many and varying pretty pants. The tears dried instantly and a big smile replaced his frown. "Wow! T'anks, 'Delle!"
