Julian Sweet
Julian could not have recalled the precise moment when he had decided everything was going awry, but the time had come and unjustly had yet to pass. As he stood, quite plainly staring into his bathroom mirror, nothing seemed to be going the way he meant it to. For a young man that was used to the world functioning primarily under his particular influence, it was a humbling, unpleasant experience. Naturally, the beginning of his downward spiral began shortly after taking up a certain doctor on a certain internship, but he never expected what would come. Unquestionably, receiving a soul bottle from one Dr. Kyou had not once been part of Julian Sweet's personal agenda.

Mechanically, he washed his face, brushed his teeth, and then exited the bathroom altogether. His steps and movements were exacting, and he traveled through the apartment with ease. There was nothing he truly needed to do in particular, but it was perfect habit to check every room self-consciously. In his rather detailed opinion, one's home reflected upon the inner workings of one's very beings. A messy living room was a messy life and a less than prim and proper bedroom was a major psychological fragmentation.

Needless to say, Julian kept his room spotless, and his private study pristine.

Nevertheless, even when everything in the entire apartment appeared impeccable, Julian still did not know what he was going to do about the soul bottle. It was a clear, unassuming object- glass with a metal top and bit of cloth that supposedly helped with the soul gathering process. There was nothing obviously fantastical about it, or even specifically intriguing. The idea that it would lead to the creation of an entirely new creature was at once preposterous, yet… intimidating. Try as he might with even his own quite superior intelligence, the student could not truly work his mind around the intricacies of the situation. What could he possibly hope to produce with radioactive material and some specimen's spiritual being? The fear of imminent failure was enough to keep him from doing little more than improving his apartment's feng-shui.

There was too much to consider.

"A soul," he said out loud if only to fill the near-silence. "Near" was needed to modify the silence only because an increasingly irritating thumping noise was coming from the main hallway's closet. Julian had passed it several times in his journey back and forth along the length of his home, but never once had he paid it any mind. It was not as though he did not know what its contents were.

"A soul of what?"

He leaned against a nearby wall, pressing his forehead against the cool surface. He was wistful. Distracted. The banging of the closet door only maximized his frustration.

"I need quiet."

It was a simple matter to lean ever so slightly forward and raise an arm to rotate the closet's doorknob. In a twisted pile of distressed young woman and rope, his cousin fell out and onto the hallway's floor.

Saede
The girl struggled for all of a moment before she barely managed to roll onto her back. While her arm was turned at an unnatural angle, at the very least she could breathe and was no longer eating the expensive carpeting Julian had insisted they buy. The complex was a tad too fancy for her tastes to begin with, let alone something of a complete downer with her cousin in charge. Her voice was a tad hoarse when she spoke, but she had been in the closet for an awfully long time. "You keep… doing that. The closet thing. I thought it would just be a phase, but you've kept with it. I'm kind of surprised."

Julian
"I need a soul." Julian's voice was almost hospitable, but as usual the sentiment did not reach his eyes. If any sort of optical agents were meant to be portals to the soul, the student's was made out of pure, unadulterated distain. What he lacked in sympathy, he made up for by actually affording the kindness to nudge his female relation with the tip of his boot until she could reposition her arm. After a quick assessment, he was more or less convinced it was most likely not broken, or even dislocated. That was probably a good thing, considering the last time. "If you can offer me something of worth, I'd perhaps be tempted to untie you and forget the little incident from earlier that put you in the closet in the first place."

Saede
A saner individual might have actually put some thought into her answer, but Saede was no such beast. When it came down to maybe- JUST MAYBE- being released from any form of punishment, she was willing to fly by on instinct and just hope it worked. Trying too hard generally never worked out for her betterment, so much as Julian's. Someday he was going to perfect that slipknot, and then she was probably going to spend quite a few more evenings in very cramped spaces. "A crab- no! Cat? Wait- butterfly. Dra- no. Unicorn? They're… pretty. Very pretty."

Julian Sweet
Julian had very little time for "pretty," but he had nothing against the adjective. Providentially, unicorns were more than simply nice to look at. They were powerful creatures; equines, to be sure, but far more graceful than any mere horse. Their magical properties were many, yet not overwhelmingly so, and their weaknesses obvious. If anything, stealing the soul of such a being would not be an unwise choice. Ultimately, would Dr. Kyou not be at least partially impressed by the very nature of the conquest?

True to his word, Julian deposited his Swiss army knife on the floor next to his cousin before he departed. Time was indeed of the essence.

Chloe Star
There. Near the wishing well. Chloe tightened her fist around the crumpled piece of parchment and hung back, watching. Just to be sure, she'd die if she got the wrong person. When she was positive that it could be no one else, she carefully walked over, clearing her throat a few paces away.

"Ah.. eh..excuse me." She held out the black and white paper in her hand to show the stranger. "Are you Mr. Sweet? I've come to...to..." she looked around, seeing a lack of other women around, feeling slightly more embarrassed, "mh.. to answer your ad. For the virgin. I mean... well. Yes." She clamped her mouth shut and looked as politely embarrassed as she could.

"I'm Chloe Star."

Julian Sweet
"Ms. Star," The boy said absently as he turned to look her over. He smirked a bit, but it seemed all generally in good humor. He was holding what looked like a very secure metal case in his arms, that could very well hold fifty million dollars, or two slowly suffocating babies. He seemed a little distracted suddenly, glancing over the girl's shoulder, than favoring a small smile when he looked back at her. "I'm assuming you have... well. That you understand what the ad is requiring from you?"

He looked nice enough, with slightly orange brown hair and blue eyes that would do better on one of those oh-so-adorable homeless puppies. Infact, he was strangely canine in nature, though it would be impossible to put a finger on it. He looked like a normal human, if you ignored the overly cute eyes and extra sets of canines in his mouth... and he would swear on the little girl currently locked in his closet he was... but maybe it was a mystery for another day. "It shouldn't be terribly hard for you."

Chloe Star
She nodded. "Mmh, I understand. Essentially, I'm the worm at the end of the hook." She looked around, slightly distracted herself. "There... aren't any other girls who showed up? It's just me?"

Then again. She looked once more down at the paper, eyes skimming over the black sans script text. 'In need of a female virgin, or at least of pure nature... Unicorn... soul...experiment...'

"Well, I'm ready." She brushed some mousy brown hair behind her ear and looked upward and into his face to show she was prepared. "May I ask what that is for?" She pointed toward the large metal case that he carried as they went, he leading, in an attempt for some form of familiarizing small talk.

Julian Sweet
Julian seemed confident for a man who was surely partially insane. Or at least, that's what the sane people hoped. He stopped after they walked a bit, as if just registering her words. Smiling slightly, he flipped open the case, revealing some black padding around three central bottles of some sort. "In the test tube is a type of ... it's called a fel esscence. In the large bottle we'll be capturing the soul, and in that last vial is a type of drug to keep the unicorn in a daze while we wait for the soul to transfer to the bottle. Feel free to inspect them, I'm sure you'll be careful."

Chloe Star
"Nhh." She nodded, reaching out to lightly take the glowing vial of fel essence from the case, holding it up slightly. She'd seen this before, she had the barest sketchy idea of what it was, where it had come from. "It's the reason I came." She nodded slightly, very softly placing the glass back within it's protective case. "I want to find out about it. And I did want to help, information wasn't my only purpose." She spread her hands and gave a small sheepish smile. "What little girl never wanted to meet a Unicorn, hm?"

She watched him as he moved, distinctly feeling something askew about him. Nothing alarming, just subtle, different. Maybe it was the way he moved. She rose her eyebrows at the mention of a drug. "I always heard and read that maidens would draw a Unicorn near and it would lie with it's head in her lap for hours and hours. This was mostly always accompanied with a tale of how the maiden would trick the Unicorn, though, and knights and wizards would ambush and kill it just so they could get it's horn."

Julian Sweet
"The horn doesn't interest me, though it might be wise to take it since the body will die..." Julian murmured while starring out ahead. It was perhaps what threw people off, that half the time he wouldn't look at them while talking. It didn't make him untrustworthy it just made things... awkward. He snapped closed the case once more, and began to move. Every stride was exact, as though he had plotted out the exact course earlier. IT was very likely he did, actually, seeing as he didn't have much of a social life outside of internet gaming and such. The loser. "Just a little further."

Chloe Star
Chloe jogged a few paces to keep up, lengthening her strides eventually to make movement smoother. She felt compelled to continue with the small talk but a part of her just didn't have the strength of heart. She followed through bush and tree along the dotted line only her escort could see and perhaps smell. Content to just admire the green around her, eyes half closed, pulled along in Mr. Sweet's wake as though in a half dream, finally murmuring, "Do you know where we're going?"

Julian Sweet
"Here," Julian said, stopping abruptly. He ignored if the girl walked into him, or off a cliff, instead moving to his knees. Quickly he opened the case, taking out the soul container of sorts, and the vial holding whatever drug he had come up with. A small, unnerving chuckle came from his mouth, giving the illusion he was completely out of his mind... which he might as well have been. At that singular moment, anyway. As he spoke now, he sounded perfectly, if not more sane than normal. "Shall we, then?"

Chloe Star
Chloe balked for a moment before nodding her head slightly. The laughter had finally prodded her into slight discomfort, the extreme sanity of his voice afterwards doing nothing to sooth her. "Err.. yes. Let's." She held out her hand, expecting him to hand the vial of drug to her. "So I'll just walk out there and see if I can't lure over a... Unicorn," it still felt so strange speaking of it as though they were a very common every day sighting, "and give it this so it'll relax. You intend to move closer once it's drugged, don't you? I mean.. I assumed that's why you brought the drug. Is it even that potent?"

Julian Sweet
"It's incredibly potent. It can put out a fifteen year old girl for hours with a quarter dose. A full dose such as that should work quite nicely," Julian said, adjusting his shirt the quarter of an inch it had moved as he stood up. He handed the vial with the drug to the girl, attempting to look reassuring rather than... 'if it attacks, you're on your own'. "I'll come with a the soul bottle after it's come over... and then it's just a matter of waiting. You will be paid, of course... though not... strictly... soon. At any rate."

Chloe Star
"...." Brows furrowed as murky blue eyes turned glossy in thought. Did she want to ask? Yes. No. Yes. Nonoyesno. Yes. "Why specifically a fifteen year old girl? Why not a grown dog or small cow?" A bubble of alarm rose in her chest. That was it. This had been her last fatal move.

She wondered briefly if it'd have any good effect on a nineteen year old as she moved with stiff legs further away from this Mr. Sweet, mind reeling to much to think of doing more than getting a damned Unicorn to come over so she could pat it's head and force-feed it some date-rape drug.

Julian Sweet
"Yes, that tree should do," Julian said with a slight wave of his hand towards the trunk the girl was stepping back near to. He looked her over, smirking slightly and nodding his head. She would do nicely. He unbuttoned the top few buttons of his shirt, and then picked up his case once he secured it shut. "I'll come back in a half hour. It definitely won't trust me." He still wasn't answering that 'fifteen year old girl' question.

Chloe Star
"Oh...you're. Hey-" She sighed. "s**t." He was gone now, leaving her to stand dumbly in the middle of the forest. Right. She tossed around the idea of simply leaving but shook her head. No... What were the odds of the slightly off-kilter Mr. Sweet being some sort of deviant other than a mad-scientist? Believe in the best for a person until they prove you wrong and give you a reason to dislike them. She licked her lips nervously as she waited, unconsciously weighing the vial full of drug in one hand as she paced in a small pattern around the immediate area, once more letting her mind wander to the green all around.

Julian Sweet
It wasn't long that the strange boy had left before the leaves of a bush were rustling. Strange how Julian could predict such an extraordinary thing... but he was perfectly right. The noble horned creature stepped out from the greenery, head held high. The unicorn was much slimmer than a regular horse, and had a sense of grace more reminiscent of a swan than a quadruped. It slowly began to step towards the maiden, looking slightly shy... or perhaps just nervous.

Chloe Star
Chloe froze as the magnificent white creature appeared to her. For a moment, there were no shadows, there was no movement, and no sound - and then her heart beat and the barest whisper escaped her lips. "Oh..." She extended her hand carefully, unable to take her eyes from the pointed horn at the base of the mystical equine's forehead. "It's alright..."

Julian Sweet
If it was possible for a creature of its stature to, the unicorn surely would have been inching along. Finally it stood right before the girl, dipping its head and nuzzling slightly against the maiden's hand. If Julian had been there, he would be quoted to say 'hook', 'line', and 'sinker' in just that order. The beautiful beast began to lower itself to a more comfortable position on the forest's floor.

Chloe Star
A smile lit over Chloe's lips and she gently ran her fingertips up along it's nose as she sank to her knees, setting the small vial down in the grass she allowed the beasts head to rest in her lap, taking a few moments to marvel over it. It's hair was as silk, the fur along it's cheek and neck was velvet soft and it's eyes...

"Please." She took up the vial, uncorking it and holding it close to the Unicorn's mouth, one hand cupped under the rim to catch what might spill. "Will you drink this?" She felt only slightly strange talking to something that couldn't respond verbally, but the truth that lay before her, in her lap, was far more overwhelming and yes, magical, than that.

Julian Sweet
The unicorn blinked, eyes doe-like for the moment. Slowly it compiled, seeming to sip at the liquid in a very human-like way. When there was only a little left, it tilted its head further so the girl could give it the last drops. The mixture was delicious, and the dazing effect was quite obvious only... only the drink was so good one found they were simply above caring. Needless to say, Julian had gotten an A+ on the particular science fair he had created it for five or six years ago. The unicorn lay in state that was all but entirely unconscious, head settled on the girl's lap.

Chloe Star
Chloe took the further relaxed state of the Unicorn to allow her caresses to become more bold. She strokes her fingers down along it's neck, along an ear(and gently tweaking the tip), and carefully, reverently along it's horn. The pads of her fingers dipped and curved along the curl of the ivory appendage. "Oh, you're beautiful." She looked absently, eyes searching through the trees and brush to see if she could spot the familiar patch of orange-brown of Mr. Sweet.

"Hello..?" She called out carefully, her voice hushed so as to not to disturb the Unicorn even though she knew that probably nothing could pull it up from the dream-like state it seemed to be in.

Julian Sweet
"Hello," A voice said, from right behind her. Julian stepped out from his place behind the tree, smirking down at the white creature with slight fascination. He stepped around it, kneeling by the head and smirking oh so gently. The metal case was nowhere to be seen, but the soul glass was still in his hand. "Shall we start then?"

Chloe Star
She gave a startled jerk, shoulders haunching instinctively forward as she looked over her shoulder. "Mmhh." Chloe nodded, giving a small sigh and continuing to gently stroke the creature's hair and cheek. "Yes. I assume you know where a soul might escape best to put the bottle by."

Julian Sweet
"Wouldn't I?" Julian replied with a slight chuckle. He placed the bottle also on the girl's lap, making so that the opened top was facing the unicorn's mouth. "If the eyes are the windows to the soul, it would figure the mouth would be the door."

Chloe Star
She gave a small nod, as though confirming something with herself. "I guessed that too." She sat still for a moment, continuing the slow, rhythmic pets before looking up. "So... when you have your soul, and," she waved her hand slightly through the air, not really gesturing at anything but making the motion as if to say 'and everything else' "you've done whatever it is you're doing. May I ask if you'll... let me see?" She bit her lip - something she'd been thinking about for a little while now. "I don't, you wouldn't... I don't expect anything, you don't have to pay me or anything. I just want to see. That'd be payment enough... if it'd be okay."

Julian Sweet
Julian looked over at the girl, smirking slightly and running a hand down the unicorn's mane. The creature actually seemed to stir, as though something was startling it. Well, unicorns usually didn't like canines, now did they? Not to say Julian was anything but a perfectly normal young man. "As you like."

Chloe Star
Chloe smiled, giving a small sigh of relief as she instinctively moved to calm the Unicorn as it stirred, thinking only that it had done so simply because Mr. Sweet was male. "Thank you. I would like very much." She paused an awkward moment, breath caught half way between lungs and lips, thinking better of what she'd been about to ask and exhaling instead.

"So... I suppose we'll be seeing each other more often then." This was not an unpleasant thought, she mused.

Julian Sweet
The boy smirked pleasantly, and simply watches the creature's steady breathing.

The two sat there for quite some time, waiting for someone else's soul.

Report #2 - Page 1 of 1

Kyoupiruchi
Yet again, it's another day that Dr. Kyou have to stay at the reception desk, as he is expecting someone's visit today. This time however, Lazarus is outside with him, floating boringly in am arm's length away from Kyou. Punching random numbers on the calculator in front of him out of boredom as Kyou sat back in the chair, reading a newspaper dated last week Tuesday.

Julian Sweet
Julian Sweet was not your average not-quite-human student, with a temper. He was above average, in every possible way, including that temper. For example, while most could ignore their annoying younger cousins, he had done horrible things to his. Such as tying her in a closet and leaving her in there for most of the day, even when he went over to Dr. Kyou and Dr. Koyuki's lab.

Such as will be described starting now.

Straightening the classic university outfit, he stalked down to the door. Without even pausing, he stepped through, taking care of the metal case he was holding. It wasn't large, but sufficient with what it had to hold.

Kyoupiruchi
Kyou put down the newspaper and sat up straight when he heard the front doors sliding open. "Hello again Mr. Sweet." he simply left the outdated newspaper lay disheveled on the desk as he steps out from behind to greet Julian Sweet. "I assume you had gotten the soul finally that you are here now!"

Lazarus perked up from his place, trying to look as uninterested as possible with a small frown on his face.

Julian Sweet
"You assume correctly, Doctor," Julian said, voice nearly a purr though that particular tone didn't seem to be directed at Kyou, so much as Julian's own ego. He settled the box on top of the desk Kyou had set up from, picking a patch of it that wasn't covered with any paperwork or such. He undid the latches easily enough, opening the top half and then carefully removing the fel essence and soul bottle from the customized padding.

In other words, Julian was more than thorough.

"A unicorn soul. I had help from a Ms. Chloe Star. I assume you know her, as she answered your ad the other day."

Apparently Julian was... very thorough.

Kyoupiruchi
"Ah!! A unicorn soul!! They are such rare creatures!! I only had the opportunity to glimpse at it's beauty from afar once, before it disappeared into the forest again..." Kyou said in awe, impressed that Julian actually caught a unicorn soul. He stared intently at the glowy substance inside the soul bottle Julian is holding, no matter how many times you stare at them, you'll never get bored of it.

"Now then, I'll get to work on creating your Raevan, would you be interested to look at the process?"

Julian Sweet
"More than interested," Julian said, now his tone quite serious, and very much directed at the man in front of him. He smirked slightly, not in a condescending way, but as though saying out loud "If you would..."

Instead of an inner child, Julian had an inner mad scientist. One he would let out quite a bit of the time, but whom in such circumstances he wanted to keep down inside his little black heart. Unfortunately, he wasn't entirely sure if it would stay there if Dr. Kyou did show him the process.

Kyoupiruchi
"This way please..." he gestured to the left door to the reception desk with his left hand, while trying to pull Lazarus from the desk with his right.

"Aaaw, do I have to go back in with you?" Lazzie pouted, reluctant to return to the lab although it's much more boring in front of the redeption desk.

"Yes, I wouldn't want you to burn up the reception area now... Come on!! I'll let you play with Sevvie tomorrow!!" Kyou proceeded to grab Lazzie's arm.

"Let go!!" Lazzie screamed, jerking Kyou's grasp off. "I'm able to float on my own..." Kids... they try to act like adults sometimes...

"I'm sorry, Mr. Sweet..." Kyou apologized, and proceed to follow the floating Lazarus in front of them into the sliding doors. Kyou stood in front of a pair of double doors labeled 305 and placed his palm on a screen beside the door, with a dull click the doors unlocked itself. "Welcome to lab 305." Kyou said as he opened the doors to reveal a comfortable small living room inside.

Julian Sweet
"Hardly a need to apologize, Dr. Kyou," Julian said, apparantly a man of infinite patience when he deemed it necessary. He glanced at the frei, offering a small, tight smile if the Raevan was to glance over at him. While there was that need to strip the Raevan down, and poke at him with cold objects... Julian wanted the doctor to actually create his Raevan before suspending him from the lab.

Frankly, Julian didn't want to suspended from the lab at all.

"He reminds me of my cousin," The boy added, not continuing with that he systematiclly drugged his cousin. Tied her up. And locked her in a closet so that she wouldn't get in his way. The weird, and frustrating thing was she didn't mind. Mostly she just muttered about "mad houndini skillz". Perhaps Julian would bring this up with the doctor later.

Kyoupiruchi
"You have a cousin that looks like Lazarus?" Kyou gasp. Feeling a shiver thinking that there are people out there that actually acts like Lazzie. But then again, Julian haven't seen enough of the raging Lazzie for further judgment.

"Anyway, the lab is this way..." He walked across the room towards a door on the far corner. Crossing a sofa, a bookshelf with numerous novels and science books, a really ancient television and a refrigerator. This door however, is voice locked. Kyou mumbled something into a mic and the door slid open, revealing Kyou's actual lab. 3 huge empty tanks stood in the lab, a table that looks as if it's for surgical purposes stood in a corner.

"Please, if you would please hand me the vial and the soul bottle..." Kyou gestured to Julian.

Julian Sweet
"Well not really in appear-" Julian started but allowed himself to be talked over. There were better things to catch his interest anyway, like an amazing laboratory. He took a step ahead of the doctor, looking thoroughly interested. The way he looked at every single object in the lab, it seemed as though he was trying to memorize every tiny detail.

"Ah..." He seemed to finally hear the other, and carefully handed him the requested items. "I am sorry, but ... I am interested in this field."

Kyoupiruchi
Kyou is pleased, the young man seemed to be interested in his researches. Although Kyou may not be a very social person when it comes to topic about science, as he prefers to keep his ideas to himself. Selfish? You would say? But he believe every scientist have a little bit of selfishness in them, it's just that there are a heavier dose of selfishness in Doctor Kyou.

"It seems to be so... you could look around freely, just... don't touch anything that're alien to you alright?" Kyou said as he took over the vial and bottle.

With a soft pop Kyou turned and pulled out a tiny dome shape object from the top of the soul bottle. He walked over to one of the nearest tank and knelt down, opened a hatch at the bottom of the tank and placed the vial and soul bottle in it. He closed the hatch promptly and stood up. His steady actions tells that he's done this before and experienced with it. He then slid open a small panel to the right of the tank, inserted some numbers and pressed a red button. The machine whirled to life, a low and soft rumbling could be heard coming from inside the tank, as a cloud of green smoke are released into the tightly secured tank. As the bright green smoke filled up the entire tank, a small glittering light blue light floated out into the green smoke.

Julian Sweet
"I've tried to make sense of it all," Julian confided, voice soft as he watched. He actually chuckled, looking almost embarassed as his eyes gazed steadily away from Dr. Kyou. It wasn't like him to admit not understanding something, so of course he was a little humiliated. At least in his own mind. "But I realized I simply can not."

"I can't find the physic or logic in a soul. One can't make science out of magic, or at least I can't manage."

Kyoupiruchi
Kyou sat on the table, dangling his feet as he said, "But in my experiments, magic is involved as well... I have a liking to dark arts you see, so I tried to do something that could combine both elements from science and dark arts to create these beings..." he patted on Lazarus's head gleefully.

"Your Raevan might take a few days to be shaped. I'll call you when it's done and you could come and pick him up." he smiled at Julian as he speak, clearly glad that another Raevan will be formed soon enough.

Julian Sweet
Julian noted the words carefully in his head, hoping the words would someday make greater sense to him. Science he knew, magic... not so much unless it was taught to him by his family. That was private things though, similar to a grandmother's secret recipe for cookies. Nothing quite so grand as.. say, how to manipulate genetics.

"I will come as soon as possible," The student said, the sternness in his voice directed somewhat towards himself.

Kyoupiruchi
"Would you like to stay longer or leave then Mr. Julian?? I'm feeling a little hungry and I'm going to the cafeteria a bit. If you want to, I'll leave you alone, feel free to look around, I'll leave the doors unlocked." Kyou said as he hopped off from the table, straightening his jacket and combing his long ebony hair with his fingers.

Julian Sweet
"Well I would-" Julian began before a strange beeping emitted from his left wrist. His pulled up his sleeve, revealing a rather high tech wrist watch of some sort. Apparently whatever it said was important as with a quick 'call me', he was shuttling out of the lab.

Report #3 - Page 1 of 2

Julian Sweet
Quiet as something incredibly sound-proof, Julian stalked his prey. It kept moving nonchalantly, giving the impression that it had no yet spotted the scientist. How she would pay though, for not giving him message of Dr. Kyou's call before now. Stupid, stupid cousin...

Well, he couldn't very well kill her. Instead he changed course, snatching the post it note with directions off the fridge, and starting for the lab. He had a Raevan to pick up.

- - -

Julian was still in his university uniform, but he doubted the good doctor would mind. Surely such a man as Dr. Kyou had better things to attend to than Julian's prowess in education. Such trivial thoughts aside, including where exactly had that slice of toast gone that morning, the young man strode into the lab. It was easy to locate the front desk of sorts, he had been here before.

"Dr. Kyou?" He said, spying the man, or at least whom he believed was the man. Sometimes one's perception could be a little off.

Kyoupiruchi
"Hmm....?" Kyou groaned and turn around, slightly hunched and looking a little pale. His lab coat was in a mess, it looked as if it haven't been ironed for weeks. A long thermometer was placed in a cup of water Kyou is holding. Kyou squinted at the direction of the voice, not having his glasses nor contact lenses on, he could only see a vague silhouette of someone there.

"You are...?" he reached his free hand into his lab pocket and searches for his glasses frantically.

Julian Sweet
Julian walked over, reaching out and removing the glasses from where the doctor had placed them on his hair earlier. He placed them correctly onto the senior scientist and stepped back. Only Mr. Sweet could possibly make such a gesture completely and unquestionably formal.

"Julian Sweet. I came by the other day to drop off my radioactive fel essence and a unicorn soul. For a Raevan," He took a moment to cough into his hand. Julian had a frequent cough during the fall and winter months, though the cause was beyond him. And a number of certified doctors. "You said my Raevan was completed. I came to pick it up."

A pause, and he coughed into his hand a second time. Fumbling in his pocket he took out what looked to be some cherry flavored lozenge. After some continued fumbling to remove it from the particularly thin wrapper, he popped the pill into his mouth. It quickly disappeared somewhere below his tongue.

Kyoupiruchi
Embarrassed at the situation and his stupid habit of placing his glasses at odd places, Kyou blushed lightly as he readjusts the glasses on his nose. "Oh Julian, yes yes... your Raevan is ready... please excuse me a moment..." Kyou turned around to head into the lab to retrieve the new Raevan. But with his wobbly footsteps, he accidentally kicked on his own foot and fall face down onto the floor. The plastic cup laid on it's side with it's contents poured out on the floor.

Kyou got up into a crouching position as he placed a hand over his forehead, and winced as he felt a stab of pain right above his left eyebrow. How careless of him!!

Julian Sweet
Julian nearly swallowed his lozenge as he watched the ensuing bout of slapstick humor. Fortunately, that brand of humor wasn't Julian's type, so instead of laughing like Woody the Woodpecker, he hurried over to the scientist's side. The student crouched down as well, offering a hand and eyeing the other with concern.

And possible irritation.

"Are you all right, Dr. Kyou? How many fingers am I holding up?" He asked calmly, holding up two fingers with the hand he wasn't offering the other.

Kyoupiruchi
"Err... 2..." Kyou said as rubbed at his temple a little bit more, the headache getting worst with the new bump on his forehead, which Kyou thinks had swollen into a purple lump by now. "I can still see, not to worry... just... not feeling very well..." he blinked and shook his head a little as the images in front of him getting blurred all of a sudden. Did the fall onto the floor knocked him so hard??!!

Placing one hand on the reception desk nearby, he tried to get up from the floor when he suddenly slipped on the small pool of water from the cup. "Wha.... aaaaah!!!" he screamed as he started to fall backwards.

Julian Sweet
"Well, that is a relief," Julian murmured, stepping close as the other moved just incase. Having bullied his cousin practically since her unfortunate birth, he knew well enough that one knock to the head could very well do some damage. Or at least give the knockee a nasty dizzy spell. While Dr. Kyou seemed a bit more stable than a fifteen year old girl who adored the color pink... well. Mr. Sweet wouldn't take his chances.

Well enough he didn't, as apparently it just wasn't Kyou's day. Julian reached out to catch the other, darting to grab him from behind. Sadly, there was indeed water on the floor... and Julian was a good three or four inches shorter... So both toppled to the ground. Luckily though, Julian banged his head this time, while Kyou had a relatively soft landing.

Even more luckily, the two were the only ones in that part of the lab at the moment. Mr. Sweet didn't do well with embarrassment.

Kyoupiruchi
Everything was a blur to Kyou, he was expecting another knock on hard surface, but instead he landed on something warm and soft, that's definitely not the cool lab floor. Slowly, he tried to get up and turn around, and came face to face with Julian lying on the lab floor. Their faces just inches apart. When he realized he's laying on top of Julian, he flushed and staggered up to a kneeling position in between Julian's legs, trying his best not to put too much pressure on any part of Julian's body.

"I... I'm sorry about that..." he cried. "I hope I didn't hurt you too much!" Kyou haven't felt so stupid in a long time.

Julian Sweet
"N-not at all, D-doctor..." Julian coughed into a hand which he raised only just in time. Slowly he began to sit up, glad he wasn't the type to blush easily from such... positioning. Instead, he only watched the other warily, as though afraid he was going to manage to fall over a third time. Something wet was creeping up the boy's thigh, and he became rather sure it was whatever Kyou had spilled earlier. He had apparently landed in the middle of it.

"I'm perfectly all right," He continued, though at the moment he was rather sure he swallowed the lozenge entirely.

Kyoupiruchi
Afraid that he might fall again, Kyou took care and try not to step into the water this time. And for extra safety, he placed one hand onto the reception desk firmly, using that as his support as he moves toward the lab door cautiously. Face still a little flushed and eye sight blurring in and out occasionally. He'll need a good rest later, and probably some chinese lotion to rub on the stinging bump on his forehead as well.

"I'm really sorry about all of this, Mr. Sweet..." he apologized, "I'm not in my best shape when you come in today..." the lab door slid open as he spoke, assuming Julian is following behind him.

Julian Sweet
"Dr. Kyou," Julian murmured, his voice sounding just faintly high pitched. Of course, he had followed the man as soon as he was able. He was sure his chest was most likely bruised, and if Kyou had been a heavier man he could have likely broken a rib. It only proved that lab safety should become more of a priority among the scientists of that proverbial tomorrow.

Julian didn't feel like the hope of the future at that moment. He felt moist around his thigh.

"Dr. Kyou, I believe that drink that you spilled... well. Is there a rest room?" Oh no, Mr. Sweet didn't deal well with embarrassment at all. Not the type to blush, he was instead enchancing his usual slight frown to new levels. That tended to work.

Kyoupiruchi
Kyou turned around at Julian to respond to him when Julian spoke, but it brought a new wave of dizziness to Kyou and at this moment, there wasn't anything around them for Kyou to hold on for support, except for Julian. He stumbled a little as he placed a hand on Julian's shoulder. "Let me... hold onto you for a moment..." he spoke with head bent down, trying to fight the dizziness away.

Julian Sweet
Julian wasn't quite sure what to say to it, other than he sorely hoped this was not some badly planned act to hit on him. In fact, Julian was rather sure it would be easy to hit on him without an elaborate plan.

Oh wait. Dr. Kyou probably wanted to hit on him and not lose any fingers. That would take a truly great plan, now wouldn't it?

Flirtation or extreme pain, for the moment Mr. Sweet found himself forced into a position of support for a bigger individual.

His thigh was still moist.

He still didn't have his Raevan.

Irritation was calmed only by the simple thought that, if need be, he could rant about it to Ms. Star later.

Kyoupiruchi
After a moment the dizziness finally went away, he blinked just to make sure and removed his hand from Julian's shoulder hastily. "I... I'm terribly sorry about that..." he apologized. "I think... I'm feeling better now..." he closed his eyes shut and opened them a few times, just to make sure. Although the headache and the throbbing pain that is his left forehead are still there, at least he felt more awake and clear minded now ever since Julian arrived.

Cautiously, he stepped up to the door that leads to his laboratory and opened them. Kyou took a short, longing glance at the sofa sitting in the room but his body was headed to the other door, that leads to where Julian's Raevan is. "I'll open the door now, I'll let you take a look on your Raevan yourselves." with a small click the door unlocked itself, and Kyou opened the door to let Julian go in first.

Julian Sweet
Julian nodded absently as the other seemed to get over his concussion. Really, if the man was going to space out like that, Julian couldn't help but want to offer him medication. Or a chance to be experimented on in Julian's study- though, of course, Dr. Kyou had a much better lab/study/land of fantasies, now didn't he? Surely Julian could experiment on him just as easily there, even without his lucky scalpel.

Yet, it just wouldn't be the same experimenting on anything at that moment. Julian's thigh was moist. This was very important, as Julian's thigh was most content when dry. Discontentment suited Julian less than embarrassment.

He walked through the new door, stopping shortly outside of it. Once again, he coughed, and then addressed the senior scientist. "Dr. Kyou... a rest room...?"

His thigh was moist, god damnnit! That was not an adjective he used lightly.

Kyoupiruchi
"Oh yes... I'm really sorry about that!" he peered into the room to see if Lazarus is around as well before he shut it closed it again. Feeling another wave of dizziness coming again he got hold of a table nearby and guided himself onto the comfortable sofa. "There's one in the cafeteria. Just go through the doors right opposite the lab doors. Turn left and go straight, you'll see it eventually..." he said, fighting against the swirling throb in his head. "If you don't mind... I'll rest here a bit and wait for you..."

Julian Sweet
"That isn't a problem at all," Julian said, flashing an incredibly professional smile. He was gone almost instantly, taking the other's directions straight to the male's rest room. Once there he locked the door, ignoring the fact there were stalls and it was feasible some other man may need to use the restroom for any number of reasons including, but not limited to moist thighs.

He pushed off his shoes, slipping out of his pants and raising them for inspection. Oh no, it wasn't pretty, and he was glad to have made it to a rest room so quickly. Without thinking he pushed the clothing article under the sink, letting it completely soak, then adding soap as he thought might be needed. After some kneading of the material, there was a final rinse and then the young man realized if he were to put on THESE pants... well, there would be worse than wet thighs. There would be wet... that.. and yes, certainly very moist that... and...

Well, the pants weren't going to be worn in that state, no siree. He sighed and walked over to the paper towel dispenser. After taking nearly the entire roll out of the machine, he began to vigorously press the sheets against his rather damp clothing only to find ... the paper towels did the same job drying as they usually did with people's hands.

That is, they gave the illusion of being useful, but were in fact not.

Fortunately, Julian didn't panic often. He was calm and collected and... yes, actually blushing when he returned to Dr. Kyou's side. Pants folded over an arm, and boxers fairly obvious.

"I couldn't... dry them. Correctly. I..." Julian just shut his mouth at that point, and gave a look to the doctor that dared him utter a single chuckle.

Kyoupiruchi
Kyou had took some headache pills when Julian was gone, the headache had subsided a little and he's feeling much better now, all thanks to the highly effective medicine that could easily be bought from the pharmacies nowadays. However, he was totally dumbfounded when Julian came back... in just his boxers, although the wet pants hanging over one arm was obvious.

He blinked confusedly at Julian a few times, not realizing what's really happening. "Mr. Sweet...? May I ask why are your pants off..?" he couldn't really cover his slight blush as he tries to divert his eyes from Julian's naked legs as well. It couldn't be denied that Julian has nice legs, and it was hard for Kyou to look away.

Julian Sweet
"My pants. While I was cleaning them... well, they ... I can't wear them currently," Julian said, not stuttering so much as being unable to find a way to reply that wouldn't sound ridiculous. All things considered, for the situation the young scientist was well off. His pants were wet, yes, but there were no females around to giggle behind manicured fingernails.

Even better, there were no males around. Well, other than the good doctor, and Julian was sorely convinced hitting him would be a bad idea altogether.

"I don't know if you have anything I could wear...?"

Kyoupiruchi
"Oh... I think I do have something for you to change in..." finally remembering that Julian probably had slipped and fell into the pool of vitamin drink outside in the reception centre. Kyou stood up, realising that he's probably a few inches taller than Julian. He eyed Julian's legs and waist, eyes involuntarily wandering to Julian's crotch as he tries to get a basic measurement of his waist.

"Jeez, quit it Kyou!!" he gave a mental slap to himself as he look away, brows frowning a little and blushing lightly. "Erm, wait just a moment..." and he disappeared into the next room, leaving the doors open as he ran into his sleeping quarters to look for a fresh pair of pants for Julian.

The door creaked a little as it swayed in it's place after Kyou had left it open. A green hand found it's way on the door sill and a small head peeked out. But a sudden jolt from behind the little green boy pushed him forwards and he appeared, whole, before Julian.

"I thought you were curious about the world outside of that lab! Now get out while you have the chance!! Dumbhead!!" Lazarus exclaimed, flowing into the room behind the little green guy. The color of green and red strongly resembles the color of christmas.

Julian Sweet
Julian could only raise both eyebrows as the good doctor began to act in a rather suspicious manner. That didn't bode well... yet the man scuttled off, beetle-like, to find pants as required. The young man couldn't do much more than cross his arms over his chest, and try to look as natural as a pantsless man can. That is, not very.

At least the air conditioning didn't appear to be on.

Startled, he stepped back just once as the two frei entered the room. His eyes locked onto the green creature's, and he was quite sure this was whom he had come for. A slightly sly smile spread across the human's face, and he inclined his head towards the two. "Good afternoon."

Gage stiffened considerably as the man watched him. There was something instantly recognizable about this human, but he couldn't place it quite that easily. Maybe it was the cough, and the steel-like smile. Or it could be the lack of pants... Lazarus didn't wear pants either, but of course Lazzy didn't exactly have legs.

Kyoupiruchi
"Oh, I didn't know we're having guests..." Lazarus paused as he eyed the newcomer suspiciously. So much for his plans to make the new Frei run away and getting Kyou into trouble. However, he found the fact that the stranger wasn't wearing pants, rather amusing though. Without even attempting to cover it, he burst out in laughter as he pointed at Julian. "HAHAHahahaha!! Was Kyou trying to strip you or something? Or were you trying to seduce Kyou??" he continued laughing as he spoke.

Julian Sweet
"I don't think you should be even suggesting either," Julian said easily. His cheeks possibly reddened a tad, but that canine smile was still firmly in place. He stepped forward, gaze flickering between the frei; a wolf before his choice of sheep. For the moment, apparently he was going to pick Lazarus. "If your guardian, and I am assuming you are the... original Raevan, if he was to be seduced and I to be here more frequently."

A cough, and Julian mentally sighed at the fact that last lozenge, was his last lozenge.

"I'm certain things would be very unpleasant for you."

Gage floated back a bit, and would have hid behind Lazarus if he wasn't sure that damned frei would just push him back. If the Raevan knew what an older brother was, he would surely have compared Lazzy to a paticularly annoying one. The green Raevan shuddered for some unknown reason, and raised a hand to idly drag a finger along the tattoo on his bicep.

Kyoupiruchi
"Hmph" Lazarus stopped laughing at that comment, he doesn't like to be looked down upon. "Do whatever you like to Kyou, it's none of my business... and I'm not afraid of you..." he added the last remark with a little hint of menace in his tone of voice, as he frowned and stared at Julian with bright red eyes.

At this very moment Kyou bursts into the room holding a pair of dark blue slacks in his arms. "Mr. Sweet, here I think these pants...." he paused as he saw Lazarus and the Julian's Raevan in the same room. "Oh, I guess you've met with your Raevan eh?" He wrapped a hand around the green raevan's wrist as he tugged him forward.

Julian Sweet
Julian opened his mouth to reply, but of course Kyou had returned. Sending a last wicked look at Lazarus, the young scientist focused his complete attenton on the frei infront of him. The Raevan was... thinner than expected, and apparantly shy. Julian really didn't respect the latter, and mentally he made a note to break the 'boy' of it sooner rather than later.

"Don't," Gage, who did not entirely know his name was Gage yet, exclaimed as Kyou dragged him forward. In fact, he had only began thinking of himself under than name upon seeing this new man. It was as though the name was on his lips, and it would be official once the stranger uttered it.

"Gage," Julian stated, as though on command.

"Gage," The Raevan agreed.

Kyoupiruchi
"Gage..?" Kyou looked at Julian, then at Gage again, confused. "Is that the name you're giving him?? That was a fast decision though, usually people take ages to pick out a name!!" he exclaimed happily. "He's all your's now!!" Kyou grinned sheepishly as he let go of gage's hand.

Lazarus continued staring at the young man, his discontent for him growing stronger by the minute. He doesn't like the tone Julian is using when he's speaking to Gage, it's like a command rather than a caring guardian. And Lazarus was always against these sort of control, he wants Gage to rebel! He wants him to break Julian's cockiness!! But the green raevan never seem to listen to him. Sighing, he floated back into the other room and disappeared from sight, not wanting to look at that arrogant canine smirk anymore.

Kyou wasn't aware of what was happening and handed the new pair of slacks to Julian. "And... here's a new pair of pants for you!"

Julian Sweet
Julian noticed the other frei's disappearance, but he didn't believe it worth his attention.

Both the unicorn and radioactive fel essence were obvious in Gage. The tattoos, the horn, the strange mask all spoke of it. Even the fact he was being ever so cautious around Julian, spoke so strongly of it. In the end, Julian felt a little self-important. He had chosen correctly, and nobody would change his mind on that.

"Ah... thank you," Julian said, flushing slightly as he accepted the leg-ware. In that moment of mental gloating, he had quite forgotten the whole pantsless incident. Quickly he pulled on the slacks, sighing as they turned out to be just a little long. Better than nothing, he supposed. "Thank you, Dr. Kyou. I'll deliver them back to you at a later date."

Gage simply fidgeted, frowning a bit as he also noticed Lazarus' departure. Even if the other frei seemed to be rather grumpy, that didn't mean his junior wanted him to leave. In fact, it ticked Gage off slightly, but he wasn't about to comment on it. That wasn't his style. Yet.

Kyoupiruchi
His heart dropped a little in disappointment as Julian put on the slacks. One part of him mentally sighing that there aren't anymore pretty legs to look at, the other part mentally slapping himself for such thoughts. It's a very complicated thinking process... and it brought back Kyou's headache. Placing his fingers at his temple again he winced as the headache came back gradually.

"...Sure, anytime.." he mumbled, slightly distracted by his headache. He took out the bottle and popped in 2 more painkiller pills as he sat down on the sofa. Sighing in relieve as the headache started to subside again.

He looked up at the young man and said, "If you ever need help, just give me a ring okay? But probably... not in the next few days..." as he felt that his body isn't going to be able to get well that soon. Kyou rarely gets sick, but when he does fall sick though, he usually take really long to get well.

Julian Sweet
Julian took a moment to study the scientist, now that he had thoroughly studied his Raevan. There was that temptation to just drag Gage to his home and start experimenting, or at least a more in-depth examination. Then, there was the temptation to ring the doctor's migraine for all it was worth. Evil won over ... lesser evil, and Julian took a seat by the senior scientist.

Gage found himself very much wishing Lazarus would come back.

"Dr. Kyou," The young man began, attentively placing a hand on the other's shoulder. He tried to look less shark-ish, and more sympathetic, but winded up somewhere in the 'vaguely amused, but caring' range of emotion. Hopefully the migraine would blur it enough that Dr. Kyou wouldn't quite hear the 'Jaws' theme song playing in the back of Julian's mind.

"Beside falling over, I really did enjoy my visit today." It was a similar to how he had gotten that one biology related project due date extended...

Kyoupiruchi
Curiosity kills the cat, or so it seems, it's killing Lazarus. He cautiously peeked out from the laboratory room as he's wondering what Kyou and Julian were really doing. Though he said he wasn't very interested before, but that's just big talk to boost Lazarus's ego. He gasped quietly in shock as he saw Julian placed a hand onto Kyou's shoulder. Is this what Lazarus thinks it is?? He sort of read stuff like this in some of Kyou's love novels before, he hid those novel pretty well though, the sneaky Kyou. And usually these sort of gestures of consolation will end up being something... more. Although Lazarus wasn't quite sure what consolation Kyou needs.

Kyou sat, hunched over with a hand holding his forehead, trying not to touch the aching bump he got earlier. He snapped up at the mention of 'falling over'. "Oh my God!! Yeah I remember I fell onto you!! Did you bump the back of your head??" he cried, a little worried.

Julian Sweet
"I'm perfectly all right," Julian said, flashing his 'cat that caught the canary, and the mouse, and several crunchy grasshoppers' smirk. That normally kept the bank clerks from asking why he would take out several thousands of dollars out at once. That normally kept the female, and quite a couple male guards from inspecting him. "I was just wondering if I might be... welcome to visit again?"

Gage looked hopelessly at the two men on the couch, feeling as though he was watching something out of a bad soap opera. And he hadn't even SEEN any soap operas in this particular life time.

"You wouldn't mind, would you?" The young man continued, taking on a sultry tone of voice previously only used in episodes of 'Desperate Housewives'. "I am very interested in your work here."

Kyoupiruchi
"...glad to hear that you're alright..." Kyou let out a sigh of relief. He felt really worn out at this moment, probably it's best if he could approach a doctor later in the day for some proper medicine.

"And yes, you could visit anytime you like!" Kyou gave a weary smile at Julian, "but please do call before you come, I might not be around sometimes..."

Lazarus was shocked when he heard that the evil man is going to come visit again! Probably he DO wanna seduce Kyou after all. And it doesn't help when Kyou is bisexual. He had this strong instinct to protect Kyou from Julian at that moment, despite the fact that he always caused troubles for Kyou and trying to make Kyou's life miserable. Probably Lazarus cares for Kyou after all, or were Lazarus trying to keep Kyou all to himself?

Julian Sweet
"I wouldn't dream of doing otherwise," Julian murmured, though it was a complete lie. Things would be so much easier without Dr. Kyou watching him, but then again... he did want to build some sort of friendship with the man. He was obviously brilliant, and Julian was the sort to enjoy surrounding himself with brilliant men and women. It made all his conversations so much more intelligent.

Gage wrung his hands, before realizing he simply didn't care. Instead he floated over to where Lazarus was "hiding", and took a seat mid-air. There really was nothing to him to do until the humans were done with their talk.

Kyoupiruchi
Lazarus gasped as Gage floated near him, he tried to shoo Gage away by waving his hand at him, but Gage doesn't seem to care, or understand what the gesture means. He removed his gaze from the adults and floated next to Gage, speaking in a tone just above a whisper. "I don't know what your owner is trying to do, but I would really appreciate it if you could get him off Kyou..." he frowned and glared at Gage, his eyes seemed to speak "If you don't do it I'll punch you in the face"

Kyou's mind was mostly clouded at that moment, he just nodded in response to whatever Julian was saying, agreeing to everything Julian said. Probably it's a side effect of the painkillers he'd taken? Depriving him of his sense of judgment?

Julian Sweet
Gage scowled a bit at the other frei. Well, Lazarus had been his friend for a bit, but he was also a bully. Maybe living with this strange man would be all right. Sighing lightly, the masked frei hovered over towards the couch, stopping just in front of the pair.

"Can we please go to your home?" The frei asked pointedly, letting the slight irritation he was feeling come out fully in his tone. Fortunately, Julian was in a rather good mood from the good doctor's agreement, and wasn't going to be angry with this bluntness.

"Oh, it would seem appropriate to leave now. You really should rest, Dr. Kyou. I'm sure Ms. Star can take care of your affairs in the lab for at least a day or two... if she has returned from retrieving that roc soul," Julian said quietly, getting to his feet. He smirked in an honestly friendly manner, offering the older man a hand.

Kyoupiruchi
A roc soul? Kyou was utterly confused at this statement. But nevertheless, he stood up politely, being very careful since he felt that his legs aren't very steady at that moment. He took Julian's hand in his and shook it lightly before releasing it. "I really do appreciate all your help for me today..." Kyou smiled apologetically to Julian. "I should treat you someday to thank you!" Kyou suggested happily.

On the other hand, Lazarus was very, very displeased that Kyou is getting all friendly with that cocky guy. He hissed quietly through gritted teeth behind both of the adults.

Julian Sweet
"That sounds very nice," Julian said as sincerely as one such as him could. He finally took back his hand, and with a wave, took himself out. As far as he was concerned, everything, besides the removal of his pants, had gone according to plan. Apparently he was in the doctor's good graces, and he had picked up a rather interesting specimen as well.

Said specimen, Gage, was rather unconvinced he would live throughout the week.

Report #3 - Page 2 of 2

"You can take it off," Julian said quietly, crouching down in order to grab the end of the fabric. The entire 'hide the Raevan because he lacks legs' idea had worked out quite well. It wasn't that Julian particularly cared what others would think, he simply believed it might not be good for the young frei's mental state to be gawked at on his first day out of the lab. The scientist slowly stood, dragging the clothing article up with him. The Raevan fussed, and with a chuckle the man backed away, letting Gage remove the robe fully by himself.

Gage looked slightly dejected once he had finished his task, letting the garment slip through his fingers. It became a shadowy pool on the carpet, and both human and frei simply starred for a moment. The frei nervously clenched and then unclenched his hands, all eight fingers feel particularly twitchy.

"Is something wrong?"

"Nothing," Julian said on instinct, gaze drifting upwards and settling on the area just below his Raevan's eyes. Any further up, and he wasn't sure quite what he would find. "I should show you around, shouldn't I?"

The frei paused, hands stopping at the clenched position. There was tension, thick tension, yet it seemed neither Raevan nor human quite knew exactly why.

"Come on then, Gage," The young man continued, letting only a brief silence pass before continuing through the family room. No feminine sigh left his lips, but there was a brief moment where the boy seemed very tired. Tired like...

"Over baked toast."

"Excuse me?"

"Something smells like... burning bread," Gage clarified, taking a slightly fretful tone. He wasn't entirely sure why he knew that particular smell, but it was steadily wafting through the house.

Julian frowned and sniffed the air slightly. Normally his senses would have picked up on that scent much earlier, but apparently he had been much too preoccupied with his Raevan. Frowning, the young man grabbed Gage's wrist, dragging him along as he hastily made for the kitchen.

Black smoke was pouring out from around the oven door, giving the impression Julian's appliance had been replaced with something demonic and bad smelling.

"... That doesn't look good," Gage whispered helpfully, giving the impression of one creature that would certainly not be touching the satanic oven.

"... I'm going to kill her when she gets home," Julian replied casually, as though he killed this female every day or so. He strolled towards the fiery hell-appliance, pulling down the door and coughing fitfully as even more smoke billowed out. There was now the slight scent of burning flesh as Julian grabbed onto the metal container from within with a bare hand. He held it to the side as his non-singed appendage closed the oven and turned the heat off.

The Raevan could only watch in fascination as this strange man placed the hot pan carefully in the sink, turning on the cold water and ignoring the strange sizzling sound that occurred when the stream hit the burning metal.

Gage, if he had possessed legs, would definitely have been shifting from one to the other. Instead he was doing all he could, and that was try to control his breathing. This was not normal human behavior he was observing. While he hadn't had much chance to learn about humans, he could tell.

Pain was bad. Pain was supposed to be bad.

"It's good to know one's limits, Gage. I think we will be exploring that shortly. Could you please get the first aid kit from the kitchen?"

"Julian... um..."

There were so many questions on Gage's mind, befuddling him completely. He started with the most obvious, and someday he would work his way down to 'who the hell are you?'.

"What is a first aid kit?"

Report #4 - Page 1 of ?

Time went by swifter than a passing fad, and soon the holiday season had come and gone. Julian, of course, didn't participate for the most part, and so then one would suspect neither did Gage. Fortunately, that was a rude assumption, and Gage was very well introduced to such concepts as Christmas trees and last minute shopping when Julian was quite clearly threatened by his normally irritatingly affectionate cousin.

Julian, respectively, received some illegally imported laboratory materials and coal. The latter gift did not really have the proper effect though, as he ended up using it in a very interesting experiment also involving a carved wooden duck.

Soon enough it was the supposedly New Year, and not much had changed. Julian was still bitter to the world for continually secretive reasons. Gage was kept on the outside of the situation, and spent most of his time trying to understand how things like doorknobs worked.

Time is a cycle. There are, however, variations.

"What is that?" Gage asked, floating a bit behind his guardian. The item in question was a rather orange egg that was for the moment, stationed on one of the desks in Julian's study. It was a rather weird specimen, primarily as webbed ears or fins at least were coming out of the top.

Julian did not look up from where he was taking notes on the egg, though a small smirk had worked its way across his features. It was when Gage acted like this that he could bestow upon his approval. Questioning things was a sign of intelligence, the spark he so wished to see more fully in the Raevan's development.

"It is a chimera egg, Gage. It is developed in a process similar to your own creation. I found two souls, a fish soul and..." A small, unhappy pause. "A fox soul. Dr. Kyou meshed them together in some way, and soon enough I will find out if the combination breeds true."

"You mean it might die," Gage said, for he was not an idiot. He pulled back away from the desk, one hand toying with the upper edge of his guarding mask.

Julian sighed lightly. "Yes... It might."

Report #5 - Page 1 of ?

If Julian was the type to perspire, there might have been beads of sweat running down his face. However, he was not, which was probably for the best since even a drop of salt water might cause the highly combustible substances he was working with to explode. The lab was perfectly silent, which was how the young man liked it. He had sent all of the few assistants who persisted to work at Lab [.x] back home early, making it quite clear that he thought the lot of them were foolish and doubly so if they though he was actually paying them to sit around and complain about his 'bad attitude'. As of late, it seemed Julian was living at the lab.

He held a test tube filled with a bright green liquid in one latex covered hand. Moments ago he had spilled some salmon colored flakes into the vial, and now it was only a matter of time. Minutes passed by, and the liquid started to bubble furiously. The substance changed from a key lime pie color to a deep burgundy.

Julian's smirked darkly, a steady beat pulsing in his head even if the lab was more or less completely silent.

The intern raised his free hand to his mouth, taking the first joint of his index finger into his mouth. He licked the skin, for that hand was uncovered, for a moment before stabbing it quite purposefully with an abnormally sharp canine. Without a wince, he removed the slightly damaged finger from his mouth, holding it above the tube in his hand so that the crimson drops of blood would fall inside. The blood hit the potion, and a waft of purple smoke rose up. Julian was carefully to not breathe in the smoke, instead focusing on the now neon liquid that was positively wriggling in the test tube.

The man might have purred.

Once the minimal smoke had cleared, he pulled up the vial so that the very top of it brushed against his bottom lip. For a moment, Julian merely seemed to be inhaling the scent of the mixture, but all too quickly he stuffed the entire object in his mouth. Clamping both hands over his mouth, it was then he winced. There were several strange motions in his cheeks and throat for a split second before he apparently swallowed whatever it was he needed to. Delicately, he parted his lips in order to grab onto the now empty test tube and remove it from the orifice.

Julian set down the test tube, ignoring the blinding colors that were now assaulting his eyes. The concoction always had that kind of effect on him. Slowly, he drew himself up from the work station, deciding leaving the lab would be for the best.

Julian made the mistake of blinking.

Everything was suddenly much too bright, and the youth simply could not focus his eyes. His steps became uneven, haphazard, making him bump into objects he could barely see. In such a place, the lack of motor skills was terribly dangerous, but Julian could not concentrate enough to actually make himself stop stumbling towards what he hoped was the door.

It was not the door. In fact, it was nothing like a door. It was a lab setup including a very important bottle of liquid that was boiling over a very large Bunsen burner.

Julian was lucky that he only caught on fire.

Report #6 - Page 1 of 1

Julian visited the Matsuri festival, burnt arms and all. To his shame, he ended up attending the fair in an outfit the color of a paticularly vibrant shade of red-orange. His hair was also, against his will, dyed a crimson sort of red. He did very little, ignored many people, and won an odd looking goldfish which he later gave to Gage. It would not be a lie to say he also became very, very drunk.

Gage visiting the Matsuri festival, too. He bought icecream which he did not eat, tried to avoid the ice Raevan known as Roux, and met the lovely shadow Frei known as Vyn. Unfortunately, Gage found that his powers which destroyed plants, would also hurt Vyn on contact. It would appear this was due to her soul being that of a rose. Further investigation would have to take place later.

The entire Matsuri festival event can be found here.

Report #8 - Page 1 of 1

Julian and Gage visited Darkwood Park in order to allow Gage time to "feed" off of the plants growing there. They met up with old acquaintances, Shuura and Vyn, to Gage's horror. Apparently, he is avoiding the female Raevan due to his mere touch tending to hurt her. New "friends", Aphismet and Rivener, showed up as well. While Julian and Shuura intimidated Aphismet possibly too much, the Raevan got along fairly well.

The entire walk and meeting at Darkwood Park can be found here.

Report #4 - Page 2 of ?

Gage leaned over the side of the large tank, lazily allowing the very tips of his fingers to traverse upon the water's surface. Tentative as always to his attributes concerning pants, he made sure he never once came in contact with the seaweed or algae that resided within. Besides, it was surely not the aquatic plants attention he wished to garner, but rather the main inhabitant of the makeshift habitat. After months of incubation and worry primarily on the Raevan's part, Julian's chimera had freed itself from its shell, and Gage could simply not work past the enchanting aspects of his newly met companion.

The foxfish did not seem to mind, but rather enjoyed the company. Gliding through the water, it would surface quite frequently to n** gently at the radioactive frei's fingers in what Gage could only assume was some gesture of mild affection. There was something strangely sweet about the simple action. Gage had never before felt such instantaneous affection towards another being. Well, perhaps the one he pursued, but she was on a level entirely separate level; there was little point in comparing someone so close to perfection to the chimera.

"I thought you would not make it," Gage's words were calm enough, but his gaze was serious and intent. Overtime he had come to trust Julian's assessments of the universe, if not the man himself, and Julian had made it quite clear he expected little of the egg Dr. Kyou had presented him. It was a mystery of cosmic proportions that the young scientist could be so adamant on learning all of the good doctor's secrets, but half the time seemed to think him something of a dim bulb. His frei very rarely, if ever, tried to understand the logic behind that line of thinking. "You are healthy, though. Good."

Gage was incredibly bright, but words had always failed him. Reiterating basic information was easy, but even if he could think complexly, his voice could not formulate it for oratory purposes. Coincidentally, the foxfish most likely did not truly comprehend the English language to begin with, and thus would not think less of the Raevan for his troubles. Gage dipped his hand further into the warm water, fingers just barely catching onto the chimera's coarse fur. There must have been something innately childish, but delightful in the experience; he felt the same thrill a small child did when they almost managed to fully pet a skittish kitten.

Very little time passed before Julian joined Gage in the study, carrying a plate of incredibly raw steaks. As soon as he was within distance for it, the young man unceremoniously threw one of the slabs of meat into the water. The steak splashed, but it had not even begun to sink before the foxfish was tearing into the flesh of it. Smartly, the frei removed his hand from the tank as quickly as he could manage, not wanting to lose any fingers when he already had too few for comfort.

"It acts as though I haven't fed it at all," Julian commented idly before tossing a second steak to join the first. Bloody juices stained the wrappings that protected the man's burned hands and arms, but he hardly seemed bothered by it. In fact, dry as his speech was, for all intents and purposes the student was in one of his better moods. "Anything to report, Gage?"

Gage surrendered to the task most diligently. "He is all right. The cage seems big enough, and he did not show any bad effects. I think he likes it."

Perhaps the words would not quite as technical as Julian might have wished them to be, but he was satisfied with the evaluation all the same. The third and final steak did not join the first two, but rather Julian toyed with it before raising the plate just high enough that he could gorge out a bite. Any textbook the frei had cared to read stated that eating such a thing was rather detrimental to a human man's wellbeing, but he found no reason to question his guardian's actions. Julian did always think he knew best.

"When do you want to go to the park? I can only imagine that you could use some lunch yourself."

Gage could not help but notice that Julian looked at everyone as though they were raw meat.

"Let's go now."

The man threw the remainder of the third steak into the tank, and then led the way.
