Erytheia followed Pyper’s pointing to a chibi that looked quite a bit worse for wear.
“Here’s your cat.” Erytheia said as he placed Pyper on the ground and examined the young senshi. “I’m afraid I don’t have any healing left.”
If only he had more magic! He felt guilty that he had used all of his healing on himself and the Source had drained every last drop of his magic.
Then he felt the anger rage up from within him again. The same rage as at the beginning of the fight. The Blight would pay for this. This time he wasn’t helpless.
General Faustite HP: 74/100 Damage to Source:10 + 11 + 1 = 22 (concentrated attacks all used!)
Between the battering blights and the surge of energy that the creature had just sucked out of him, Faustite was doubled over and breathless. The blights hadn't been more than a nuisance, but even nuisances wore a person down over time; Faustite knew he would have a count of bruises to soak as Eion, and strained muscles, and myriad claw lacerations and bite marks to trouble him over the next weeks.
Still breathless as he straightened, Faustite replied, "That's… Why… We need. Another way." And the hint to that lay in the flicker of lights coinciding with the thing's disappointment, if he could call it that.
Then there was Albite, who sounded rough for all they'd sustained. "Albite?" Maybe he should send them both to find a solution.
They knew it killed plants. They knew it could drain people. Could it drain electricity, too, then? Could they overload the creature? Because, by being there, they were feeding it.
"Be ******** creative, Heliodor. Know you can be. What can you weaponize at a distance, if not your magic? What can you turn into a projectile? If it drains, can you overload it? If it's a substance, can you dissolve it? Worst case, find some ******** napalm and I can set it on fire," he finished, and his body flickered a last heat wave before engulfing the area around him a last time.
Super Niter HP: 25/75 Damage to Blights: 8 + 10 = 18; Niter killed his 3 blights! He's also banishing Ida's 3 blights!
Wow. This was. Well.
Niter pressed his face into his hands. This was the same crushing, dispiriting feeling whenever he saw the boss's health bar refill in a video game. It was the same as that bullshit Godskin fight in Elden Ring. It was Rykard without the gimmick weapon.
Because they didn't have, like anything. All they had were themselves. And some of them looked ready to give up the fight, even without this thing just popping right back to normal. Niter hadn't even touched his magic yet, and he was already feeling like he ran the half hour home from work, forgot his keys, and had ran the half hour back to pick them up.
It'd be easier to see if this was some kind of gimmick if he had more of a grasp on how these crazy magical monsters worked, but he had hardly seen them as a new Super. And he learned that they were total gelatinous little assholes for how one bit him when he wasn't looking directly at him, and the way the big one drained everyone and just perked itself right back up. It was even worse, looking at it with the lights on...
With no other solution at hand, Niter turned his attention on the three blights that kept swarming him, dispatching them after circling around them and taking advantage of their locomotion issues. Now that he wasn't bothered, he looked for the girl that yelled for them to attack. She was basically a leader, right?
Except she was out looking after other people. A Dark Mirror, and somebody else. Maybe if he could keep her less distracted, she might belt out a different strategy, or think of something new?
So niter whistled a tune, expecting that maybe the weird space bullshit would confuse the globs and send them after someone else, but they just... Disappeared.

Iðavöllr Page of Polaris HP: 19/50 Damage to the Blight monsters: 6 + 5 = 11 (Iðavöllr takes out 2 of her blight attackers, the remaining blight attacker has 4/5 HP)
"For a moment I could have sworn that that someone called out the name of my little cousin and his talking cat friend" Iðavöllr answered absently to the lavender-haired Page (Abzu)–
And it didn't matter to her that said cousin was a lot stronger powered than she was or that he and his (or rather their mutual) talking cat friend had both been doing this a lot longer than she had.
Nor did it matter that things were still awkward between them as a result of her finding out her cousin's nightly extra curricular activities and most likely go back to being awkward when this was all over (if it ever became all over) –
Because when all was said and done Athene was still her little cousin, still family - and family was important to...
She had been paying less attention to her surroundings then she should have as she tried to see if she could spot either Athene or Liryn amongst the the chaos.
It was a mistake as pain blossomed in her arm, even as the lights sudden flipped on, disorientating her.
The boost from the strawberry blonde-haired senshi aid earlier, leaving her feeling woozy and even worse than she had earlier even as Iðavöllr did her best to try and push the thing off her before stomping on it with her wedged-heel boot when it finally toppled over.
And as if the creepy voice on its own wasn't bad enough, it was now accompanied by a hiss, one that caused her to shiver.
"As if that voice wasn't creepy enough" she murmured weakly to the lavender-haired Page (Abzu), even as she swung out at another of the figurines, before trying to kick out at a third–
There were too many people for Fang to keep track of. So many people nearby had the old uneasiness rising up in the back of his throat and he barely refrained from growling; only physical exhaustion, really, was what prevented it at this point. He slumped to the ground, coughing as someone, he couldn't tell who, his sight was fuzzy and he was so dizzy, caused the tentacle to retreat.
He was safe, for the moment. That much he knew.
On shaking legs, he forced himself to stand, stumbled a little, and blinked watery eyes—when had he been crying?—at all the people suddenly near him. Only two of them he knew, and he drew close to Ida, who he now recognized as the one who'd freed him and also killed the mini monsters that were trying to attack.
"Okay," he answered, wiping at his face. "Tired. Thank you."
Taking a deep breath, he howled and threw himself at the monster, not ready to give in yet. He viciously bit into it, clawing at it, all the while a guttural scream coming from the back of his throat.
Hati yelled when the damn little monsters popped up again, clawing at him. Son of a b***h, this sucked. Just keep going, he told himself, keep attacking the monster, keep going after the main target, it has to ******** die eventually, right?
He threw a couple of punches as the mini monsters scratched at him, hissing under his breath. Survive.
DMS Sailor Markeb - Senshi of Wishes HP: 44 - 10 = 34 Blight Monster:5/5 HP (new), 5/5 HP (new), 5/5 HP (new), 5/5 HP (new) Damage to Blight Monster: 5 + 3 = 8 [0/5, 2/5, 5/5]
Lieutenant Vauxite HP: 50 - 10 = 40 Blight Monster: 0/5 HP (new), 5/5 HP (new), 5/5 HP (new) Damage to Blight Monster: 5 + 9 = 14 [both of his sisters are dead] - [0/5, 3/5, 5/5]
Every time it looked like they had finally earned a moment to finally breathe, another wave of Blight circled their small group. Each time they had barely been able to kill the last one. Only one, Rakovanite, was able to hit the Source; at least she thought he had but given the chaos of this place, she couldn't be sure.
Their situation felt even more dire when the lights were turned on and they could see the full scope of these Blight. Their grotesque forms took shape and the source that she couldn't quite hear over the other conversations and yelling taking place around her.
Markeb didn't know what had possessed her to try summoning her magic for the first time in what felt like ages.
Perhaps it was seeing the corrupt (Hylonome) kneeling beside a mauvian (Xyla) while the other corrupt (Hatsya) that had killed two of her own (Markeb's) blight earlier ran deeper into the fray. Or possibly feeling some of the strongest auras that responded to this invasion were attacking the source with all they had in them had moved her to action.
After passing the plastic icicle back into her brother's capable hands, an action that caused him to look at her as if she had just gone insane, Markeb spoke the name of her attack and summoned the two familiar glass-looking magical stars, one in each hand. "Wish upon a star."
She glanced around at all the weary faces, and the ones who grit their teeth and continued pushing past bodily and magical limits. However, before she could pick the best person to give these to, another monstrosity appeared. It attacked her from the side, knocking both stars from her hand and she watched in horror as they fell towards the ground but before they could disappear, or shatter into magical dust, as she thought it might do- Markeb imagined the Corrupts worried face (Hylonome) and focused on one of the stronger signatures closest to the Source but still near enough to receive a star of their own (Erytheia).
Sailor Scout Attack: Wish upon a star After declaring her attack Sailor Merkeb summons two crystal looking star shaped non-physical objects that glow a soft white color. She then chooses 1-2 allies within 10' of her causing the stars to blink from her hands into theirs (she can use a star herself). Whomever is holding the star has 20 seconds to make a wish, downside is that if a wish is not made in the allocated time the white light will fade and it will disappear.
Wishes, broken down to the base desire, should somehow fall into a magic category in the case that it doesn't (ex I wish for a puppy) the star will remain the soft white color and nothing will happen till the star fades or valid wish is spoken.
Magic: The star in their hands will turn blue then dissolves granting a player's choice of 40% of magic pool (not to exceed your max allowed time), small boost in energy or one returned magic attack up to her level**.
Can be cast 3 times.
Note** Merkeb cannot gain an additional use of her magic- cannot wish for more wishes. Using her attack 3 times will leave her exhausted and hating life unless she uses a final star on herself to get an energy boost.

"Vauxite!" she shouted when her feet were lifted off the ground and she fell backwards on top of the monster that had grabbed onto her.
With both weapons back in hand, Vaux stabbed the one that had ambushed him first before rushing over to help his sister get free. "Now do you understand why I want you to hold on to this?" Again he shoved his Lieutenant weapon back into her hand leaving no room for debate.
Although grateful that he had helped her get free, Markeb glared at him in annoyance when her brother extended a hand out towards her to help her stand up again. Perhaps she had risen too fast because she almost immediately stumbled and would have fallen to her knees had Vaux not have caught her.
He grunted, a sound that she did not miss, and assumed that whatever suddenly made her feel like she'd been drained of energy had affected him as well.
The Senshi of Wishe's golden eyes scanned the crowd and she saw that at least the corrupt (Hylonome) had received one of her stars successfully. And so, she brought her hands up to her face and shouted "Make a wish!" Not that it was much in the way of direction but she hoped that whoever got the second one (Erytheia) had heard her too.

Corrupt Sailor Hatsya - Senshi of Swordplay HP: 41 - 10 = 31 Blight Monster: 5/5 (new), 5/5 (new), 5/5 (new) Damage to Blight Monster:5 + 7 = 13 [kills both of Xyla's remaining and Hylo's remaining blight] [5/5, 5/5, 5/5]
Hatsya's head snapped to the side at Xyla's sudden hiss, but before she could so much as reach out to the Mauvian a Blight slammed into her from the side knocking her off her feet again.
"I'm coming Xyla," she pushed herself up onto her knees and tried to summon her magic "Swords of Silencing-" but nothing happened. "What..." her brows pulled together in confusion. Yes she felt winded and tired as the rest of them did. But she should still have another use of-
Her attention turned towards the source that had fully healed and realized then what the monsters it controlled had done.
Xyla had wrestled herself free and slowly moved over to Hylonome's side. "She needs help, can you heal her like you did for me?" Without magic, Hatsya had to open a window of opportunity for the Corrupt Senshi of Edeleweiss and so she ignored the three that were hot on her own heels and moved to kill the ones fixated on them instead.
The mauvian struggled to speak and with all the commotion it was hard to hear her but Hatsya understood that their time here was limited. Get Prehnite, she said and the Senshi of Swordplay nodded. "I'll be back quickly," she said before turning on her heel to seek out their General hoping that someone might mistaken her monsters for theirs and kill one of them.
"Prehnite." Hatsya shouted when she got closer to the Source.
Super Sailor Alcor - Senshi of Cold HP: 69 - 10 = 59 Blight Monsters: 5/5 (new), 5/5 (new), 5/5 (new) Damage to Blight Monsters:10 + 10 = 20 [kills all of hers and one of Athene's]
Alcor didn't even have a chance to take a step in the direction she last saw her sister before muck-covered arms wrapped around her suddenly, the sensation of which made her skin crawl beneath her fur-trimmed coat.
She threw her weight forward to disengage and found her own reaction time slowed by a sudden loss of energy. Alcor stumbled, tripped over some debris, and landed in something she didn't even want to know what it was.
It was a struggle to rise but when she was steady enough on her own feat she issued a quick warning to Athene. "Watch out-" Both hands began to glow blue when she called out the name of her highest ranked magic for the second time since this battle began. "Cone of cold-" Her hands were brought together and from them, an icy chill erupted.

Super Sailor Eleonora - Senshi of Heat HP: 69 - 10 = 59 Blight Monsters: 5/5 (new), 5/5 (new), 5/5 (new) Damage to Blight Monsters:10 + 3 = 13 [killing one of hers and one of Antisana's and damaging another of his leaving it at 2/5] - [0/5, 5/5, 5/5]
Until now, both Eleonora and Antisana had been able to destroy each wave of these monsters. Where three spawned, those same three dropped. But this last wave- they had missed one.
"Antisana!" she shouted, but by the time she notice there was one still up, it was too late. It struck him just as another all but threw its weight into her and tackled her to the ground.
The fall was enough to knock the wind out of her completely and as she struggled to regain her breath, Eleonora could feel it draining her energy. "N-no you don't." She grit out between clenched teeth and summoned her Touch of Heat once more.
Hands glowing a bright red she pushed the damn thing off her; gagging as it fell limp and discintegrated partially on her and the rest beside her in the oily muck from fallen creatures before it. "Anti-" she pushed herself up and struggled to get back to his side.
Striking at the one holding onto him and weakly hitting the one next to it, she tried hard as hell not to touch him lest she accidentally burn him too. But this exhaustion was becoming too much of a burden and the sudden weakness only spelled doom for everyone if those attacking the Source weren't able to end it quickly.
Mauvian Liryn (in human form) HP: 12/50 Damage to the Blight monsters: (10 + 5) - 5 = 10 (Liryn takes out 2 of his blight attackers, the remaining blight attacker has 5/5 HP)
It seemed that the combined attacks on the mass were working, despite the thing's angry shrieks.
Maybe a push more would do it, or perhaps a push or two–
It was a thought backed up by the way that the humanoid figurines appeared to be losing definition, their shapes blurring and Liryn took the opportunity to turn his attention more fully to the dark-haired chibi senshi (Abeosamu), "Are you o-"
He never finished the sentence, lights suddenly flickering on where before there had been none, illuminating in full the thing that they were all fighting–
A mass that seemed suddenly much more recovered than it had been.
One the humanoid figurines took advantage of his direction, causing a startled yowl from his throat as the thing's mouth clamped down on his shoulder, energy and strength draining away.
Liryn bristled and eventually managed to awkwardly shove it away and then lashed out at the thing's two fellows as he wobbled.
Purplish eyes were still defiant as they stared at the mass however, even as the thing gloated at them about how it was going to use the stolen energy to deal with them.
He glanced at the dark-haired chibi senshi (Abeosamu) and his expression softened, even a the humanoid figurine that had bitten him started to lurch back towards him.
"Let's stick together" he said cheerfully as purplish eyes tracked the humanoid figurine "Between all of us we can deal with this thing."
And Liryn had every faith that they could deal with the thing because after all they had almost done so once.
He glanced over briefly as a new person approached. purplish eyes taking in the Cosmos Knight as he placed a mauvian on the ground (Pyper).
"Hi Erytheia."
He glanced back at the approaching humanoid figurine again, not wanting it to get another jump in.
Eternal Sailor Athene HP: 62/100 Damage to Blight monsters: 10 + 9 = 19 (Athene takes out all of his blight attackers) Damage to the Source: 10 + 6 = 16 (Athene does 16 damage to the Source)
Athene had opened his mouth with the intention of responding to Alcor, but the words had died on his tongue as the talking creepy humanoid had chose that particular moment to shriek something out in defiance.
It had been followed by bits of cement and shattered tile raining down from somewhere above and Athene had done his best to try and dodge some of the larger bits of broken tile–
And then the lights had suddenly flickered to life, although when Athene saw what the darkness had been hiding a part of him rather wished that they hadn't.
He was still staring at the glow that the mass appeared to be feeding from in horror when he heard Alcor calling out in warning, although it wasn't enough to save him from the humanoid figure that clamped onto his arm, or from the teeth biting down into his shoulder.
Wooziness and pain, intermixed together for a moment and then a moment more - but then suddenly it was gone, it taking longer than it probably should have for him to realise that Alcor had managed to take the thing out.
He managed to get it together enough to deal with the remaining two lumbering towards him, before reaching down and picking up one of the larger shards of broken tile.
"I don't know where Liryn is - we got separated" he admitted to Alcor, even as he grimly lobbed the piece of tile at the mass "I was hoping that Ele may have seen him."
He added quietly "But he won't leave - not with Ida here" left unspoken was the fact that neither would Athene - not when he, Ida and Liryn had gone through so much together.
Athene hesitated and then added "And he wouldn't leave you or Ele here either if he saw you."
He continued "I know that we have to deal with that thing somehow" because Ida was right in that the mass appeared to be the key "And that I need to find Liryn, but I don't want to dash wildly in either so maybe it would be best to try and regroup with Ele...?"
Abzu, Page of Neptune HP: 22/50 Damage to Monsters: 5+8=13, all ded, 6 damage to Iðavöllr's monsters
If he suddenly heard family nearby, he'd probably be fairly distracted too. He didn't have any siblings -- it had always been just him and his parent -- but he imagined if he heard them there he would have been concerned too. "If your little brother is here, maybe we should figure out where he is?"
When she said little brother, he wasn't necessarily imagining someone who was stronger than she was, admittedly. He wasn't necessarily visualizing a child -- he could tell she was probably the around the same age he was, or at least in that ballpark -- but...
He winced in discomfort as he took a closer look at the monsters in front of them.
"They needed a visual too, right?" He really had no interest in punching them again.
It was definitely too much to go from fighting in pitch darkness to fighting in an brightly lit area, at least that was according to Lacerta. She stood blinking the spots out of her eyes as the battle continued to rage around her. Her gaze took precious seconds to clear and in that short amount of time she felt the impact to her arm as a smaller blight found its way through her defenses and sunk it's teeth into flesh. Lacerta yelped and started walloping the creature in its facial region in an effort to make it let go of her. The good news was that her combined strikes caused it to disintegrate but on the bad news side of things it felt like it had done more than just caused an injury that would have to be tended too. No, it felt like something had been leeched away in the brief contact and the dark mirror narrowed her gaze ominously at the central figure.
This was definitely not okay. This thing, whatever it was, had to be put down once and for all.

Magic Uses Left 3/3 Basic 2/3 Super 1/2 Eternal (( sucked up from blight attack ))
Corrupt Sailor Hylonome of Edelweiss HP: 34/50 HP (( one use of magic drained ... one remaining ... using this turn..)) Healing Xyla:3 + 7 = 10 hp restored
Hylonome watched as her remaining attacker was destroyed and she gave a weary nod of thanks to Hatsya for taking out the blight before she focused on what her friend was saying. Taking in Xyla's form the senshi of edelweiss once again felt herself kneeling at the side of a teammate and she repeated the gesture that she had done so recently while crouched at Hatysa's side. Even as the edelweiss flower appeared in her hands and she gently held it in front of Xyla's face so the cat could choose to eat it if she wished did she also realize how much peril they were truly in.
At the Mauvian's insistence did Hatsya rush off after Prehnite while Hylonome absently scratched Xyla's ears in what she hoped was a welcomed gesture. She had no issues about stopping if that's what Xyla wanted but she also kept a sharp lookout for any other monsters that could be lurking around, "is it wrong to admit that maybe we should have stayed away from this battle? I know it was Prehnite who drew I guess all of us here, but what drew him here?"
Even as she mused this question out loud to her audience of a single Mauvian did Hylono e note that her edelweiss flower had picked up a strange little friend in the shape of a star. She puzzled over the appearance before she heard a voice shout over the din to "make a wish!"
Closing her eyes Hylonome began sifting through what was wanted the most.
