XXXIt was only two weeks ago that Maria had the reunion she so longed for. To once again be reunited with her teammate and childhood friend, someone irreplaceable in every way. Someone who left not only because she had to, but because she was forced to. A memory that was still so freshly burned in her mind, a bitter memory that blossomed when she stroked the fluffy ears of the woman who cried so desperately in her lap. At that time, Maria had grown so bitter because of her illness, the disease that continued to eat away at her very body and soul. Such a deep sense of loathing and self-hatred, mixed with her own ever-deepening despair until it consumed her whole. A basket of toys and treats, discarded with such a cold heart as she refused to bat an eye towards the woman who was leaving, who had to leave. It was a pain that burned in her very soul every day since, even now, when they stood beside each other's side once again. The girl who had fallen so sickly, so feeble, never once held it against the feline. She only blamed herself, every day for those five passing years. For not being strong enough, for letting herself fall so low. She always held such resentment against herself for turning her away that day, for demanding her to leave so half-heartedly when she could never mean such cruel words. As painful as it was, it was something she could accept in time. Kenna had her reasons for leaving, and Maria threw them to the wind. That was the reality of the situation, and she understood that. What she never understood though was why the man that stood before her left, why he had abandoned her, as everyone else had.
Kenna had left because it was unsafe for both of them. While Maria would follow her to the ends of the earth and deny the danger of any situation, it was something that Maria understood and in due time, accepted. Feralis though, she never knew why. Their time together, however brief it was, was one she held so dear to her heart. Enlisting at Beacon after Kenna and herself proved their worth at Signal, they were assigned with two others, along with a goliath of a mentor who was a teacher in training. From the moment the team was pieced together, it was the definition of dysfunctional. Kenna and Feralis went at it literally like cats and dogs, constantly tearing into each other with ruthless insults, or into their very skin when things got too intense. Time and time again, Maria had to drag these poor souls to the infirmary because of their reckless fights. Though, more often than not, some of the injuries they'd receive was herself knocking their heads in to try and break up their fight. After all, solve violence with violence, right? With the two of them constantly at it, Maria was always at her wit's end, though she loved it so. While no one would truly match up to how she cherished Kenna in her heart, Feralis had managed to weasel his way in, and Maria could never fight the suspicion that Kenna held a pang of jealousy. Even so, the woman tried so much to play peacekeeper, while constantly pushing them forward to thrive and conquer. Though Feralis may not have followed the same goal, the two women of the team had plans to take down a greater evil, and they had to get as strong as possible. .. Nothing was ever good enough, and there was always room to strive for improvement, something that was further emphasized by their mentor, who was the essence of strength embodied. For the briefest moments, Maria thought that their little dysfunctional family would last forever, That even though the cat and dog hated each other, they cared just enough to tolerate each other, even if it was for her own sake. Unfortunately, fate wouldn't be so kind. From the first moment she tumbled, something deep inside her core knew that the end was near, that the halcyon days that they had taken for granted were near their end. The conflict began to arise in the team, and Maria was in no position to stop it. Quite the opposite, in fact. Maria's heart was growing more bitter as the days went on, as she pushed herself harder and harder to try and correct what was wrong... Feralis had pushed her, egged her on, while Kenna was the realist of it all, as surprising as it was. ... Eventually, it was Maria's condition itself that caused the two to tear into each other so relentlessly, to put everything they built on the line... Gone in an instant.
Iridescent hues would shimmer as the pools of tears continued to well in such somber orbs, but her expression never faltered, her face never moved aside from the occasional slow blink. Her own gaze interlocked with his, while her head rested so listlessly against her chair, showing how weak she had truly gotten over the years. Behind such a beautiful, yet somber gaze was that final memory they had together, playing in real time. It was the day after Maria had fallen, the day that her legs went numb and she just couldn't do it anymore. A day that was forever burned in her mind, much akin to the day Kenna left her side. As reluctant as they were, as much as the two hated it, both of them chose to visit Maria at the same time. Rather, Kenna stayed by Maria's side the entire night, and Feralis came to join the morning after. After all, a night of rest should've been enough, right? With that done, they could get right back to it... Training, building her up to her former glory and kicking whatever sickness plagued her to the curb ... Right? He was there to motivate her, to egg her on so that she could strive to get better, as he always had. However, what he hadn't anticipated was Kenna's own piece on the matter. The situation had continued to fester and boil until it finally erupted in what was surely the most painful argument between the two. That Maria was no longer fit to be their leader, and that she needed to stop before she hurt herself anymore. Feralis and Maria had been so immature and reckless about it all, that it was contributing to her own failing health, and they had to move on. This was for their own sake, but mostly Maria's. Her gaze fell empty, hearing the words of her closest friend telling her it was time to give up. She was at a loss for words, and just watched as it all crumbled around them. The wolf boy had enough, lashing out one last time at Kenna as a painful and unruly fight erupted between the two. Blood was drawn, furniture was broken, and a most cherished locket was ripped from Kenna's neck during it all. The only thing that managed to stop such a feud was the sound of Maria hitting the ground. It was so painful to standby, to be forced to watch as her friends fought with such hate in their eyes. It wasn't uncommon, but Maria had always been able to diffuse the situation with words or actions. She always found some means to get in the way, whether it was by throwing herself between them or beating the living s**t out of them so that they couldn't have that satisfaction. Hesitance wasn't an option with these two constantly at each other's throat, and that moment wasn't an exception. Maria had cried out, begging for them to stop as she hit the ground as the first sign of compassion since she fell ill. Heartbroken eyes fell on her as Kenna rushed to her aid, Feralis finding himself with white-knuckled rage. Before he could act, before anything could be said, Rachel had tugged on his shoulder as she entered the room. There she announced it, that Maria was no longer the leader of team MAKO. That one of them would have to take up the mantle, while they penciled in a new member. That was it, the final line to be crossed. He stormed out of the room without another word, and... That was it.
That was the last she ever saw of him.
The next few days were followed by only silence. Feralis had surely been the loudest of the bunch, but the impression he made had managed to even silence any of Kenna's banter against him. To think that even she was at a loss for words was unthinkable. Items from their dorm had been relocated to her new room, a place she'd stay as she underwent testing and would hopefully begin treatment for her disease. Maria kept her belongings to a minimum, consisting of clothes, school supplies, and a few other necessities. Aside from that, she only kept items of personal value such as her weapons, the gem broach she received from Kenna, and lastly ... A music box, entrusted to her by Feralis. The boy had been known to transform, and whenever he did, it was always Maria who went after him. Who made sure he was safe, and that he always came back home. Her and that little music box, a tune that she listened to every night, often leading her to cry herself to sleep. After all, despite the apathetic gaze she held at face value, both of the girls knew how torn she was at her core. Feralis had left a hole, taking a piece of Maria with him the day he left, just as Kenna did to her. Up until that day, Maria had spent every waking moment trying to push herself, trying to fight past it with him as a motive. Now, she couldn't even raise her head from the pillow. What was the point, anyway? All she wanted to do was sleep, all she could do was rest. Where there was once a fiery passion that ignited her very soul there was a vast emptiness, a sense of failure. She had given up. She had lost everything, except the girl that stood by her side since the beginning. .. At least, for another moment. The inner working cogs of reality had already begun to move, and Maria knew that she wouldn't have Kenna much longer. She was sick, she was weak, and she was dragging her down. She found herself counting down the days until the girl stepped in with a basket of toys and treats, a day that she knew would come.
So... That still left a question unanswered. Why did he leave? Why did he abandon her? Kenna had all the reasons in the world, as painful as it was, but what were his? Was he that he was disappointed in her, or that he couldn't take the conflict of the team anymore? Even then, she thought that they were more than just teammates, that they were friends. Feralis and Kenna hated each other and were in a constant feud no matter what the situation was, that was just their relationship. It was different for them, Feralis and Maria, a sense of respect and companionship that arose from their time together. After all they had been through with one another after all the time spent together, how could it be so easily discarded to the wind? Without even so much of a goodbye? Was it all for show? Did she really mean that little to him? .. As the years went on and these feelings of regret continued to fester, she could never come to a conclusion. Of all the people that abandoned her, she never expected Feralis to be one of them. It was only recently with Kenna's return that a thought crept in her mind, what if he had passed away? What if in their time apart, she had met an unfortunate fate just as her parents had, who she too thought abandoned her? ... It was an answer she could almost accept, a sense of closure that she long needed and was ready to receive. ... Until this moment, where that wolf boy stood before her. Pools of a somber iridescence locked with eyes of umber. "Wh..where did.. you... go...? ... Why.. d..did..nt yo..you.. co..come..back..?" A question that was etched so painfully into her heart, an answer that she longed to know... To finally receive closure. They burned in her chest as she fought with every fiber of her being to speak such soft and strained, though ever more heartbreaking words. Fingertips curled against the arms of her chair tighter and tighter, making it clear that the robot that stood behind her was in no position to speak. .. To think such important pieces of her life had come back together a mere two weeks apart. What could it mean?

XXXWhat exactly did she do indeed, he wondered. This clever little cat always had something in the works, something mischievous or devious that always kept him on his toes. Time and time again, she brought all sorts of excitement or trouble his way, and this time would be no exception. Narrow slits on pale green hues would dilate wide before the furry friend brushed herself against his fingers one last time before gracefully weaving her way between crouched legs before distancing herself with a leap. After all, unlike the boy with horns, the cat knew exactly what trainwreck was coming. "Oi, Molly, where you going?!" Felix would holler as he began to rise to his feet once more. Eyes of umber would blink in confusion, only to shift his gaze towards to meet that of half blue that moved in a blur. "Whoa he-!" It was far too late for any words, to shift in any direction. Mid blink, mid-sentence, a loud crack of two skulls would collide. In most cases, Felix would've been fine. It was only a couple weeks prior that he nearly had his skull shattered by a girl with bangin' heels. So this should've been nothing, right? ... Right?
Umber hues would widen as a lifetime of images flashed before his eyes within a single moment, before their foreheads could event part from one another. A void of love, an empty home. So many futile attempts to gain the affection one longed for, only to be met with constant denial which led to a sense of defiance, then resentment. Tantrums and outburst, ignored all the same. It was futile, a fruitless effort that was soon replaced with a sense of resentment. Ignorance was bliss, and once that veil was lifted the true monsters were revealed. Parents that hated others for their race, something they had no control of ... Something that he was. A hatred that bled into their very livelihoods and ruined the life of an emotionally neglected daughter, until the moment she was snatched away. Intense fear, endless pain, and a growing sense of abandonment. Tormented relentlessly, while a constant effort was made to reach out for parents who never wanted her. Nothing was good enough, not even the loss of life. They never came for her, and the years continued on. Trauma and torture, continuing to break a girl who was already broken until a veil was created that formed her into who she was today. A playful nonchalance, never bothered and ever so curious, with a sense of distance. Then there was a boy, one, unlike the others. Someone that cared, a friend, or perhaps even more. His presence made it all the more bearable, made it hurt less. A single shimmering light in the darkest of nights, before it was snuffed out. The discovery of them led to a heartbreaking betrayal as darkness washed over their left eye. Why did she ever trust him? Why did she let him in? The world was cruel, as were the people that lived in it. Something that no one could understand, not in the way that she did. Not long after did she experience acceptance for the first time. A group of people, a tribe, that took camp in the forest. They provided food and shelter in exchange to aid their cause, and that led her here. Images continued to flash as a sense of conflicted companionship formed, names coming to mind in their fight against the grimm. Lunia, Aaron, Charlotte, as well as her own ... Zylah.
A sense of vertigo caused the world to begin to tip and spin around him, balance leaving the already ungraceful man in an instant. His head began pounding, throbbing as the impact erupted through his skull as a pain that wasn't his own. Not only that, but the boy would clench his teeth as he felt a most intense pain tear through his leg. Though it was all a memory, he felt the jaws of a beast tear deep into his flesh, tearing the muscles to ribbons and cracking the bone so effortlessly in its gaping maw. From a moment of heightened intensity to a dulling pain that caused his leg to give under the pressure. Just like that, with their collision, the two of them would fall to his back with a flop as his consciousness continued to fade in and out. The memories were overwhelming and the pain held such intensity. It was all so much, and for the briefest moment, he began to slip to his emotions. It wasn't a fear, but a confusion that melded with the pain. Black aura would flicker for a moment, his mind slipping to defend itself as small spikes threatened to emerge from his skull. ... Then he heard a voice, strained and confused while feeling a presence on top of his own.
Opening his eyes towards the sound of the voice, umber hues would widen and shrink as the nauseous sense of vertigo began fading from his system. The world had ceased to spin, but his head still ached and his vision was blurred. .. Actually, it wasn't just that. While the image wasn't clear, the blurry gaze would begin to focus, dark dots fading, yet a dark veil still persisted and his vision was narrowed. A memory would flash, the sight of a boy that struck and took his sight away offering a terrible reminder of what happened in his past ... Was it his past? No, maybe.. They've been over this time and time again, but it never got any easier. Whatever it was, his sight had been obscured and everything towards the left that he once saw so clearly faded to black. That being said, umber gaze would focus on a girl who seemed confused and looking for something. What was she looking for? A cat? ... That's when the dots began to click together. "A.. cat...? ... Gray, fluffy... Devious..? That's Molly, she's my cat ... I was petting her.. Now there's you... Er.. I think? Things kinda went black that way." Following his words, the boy would motion left with his head for the eye that washed out his vision... How'd that happen again, anyway? This whole phantom pain thing, it was getting really old. Time and time again, he kept falling for Ora's injuries, then Cali's torn leg. ... Now his mind is boggled, his sight is trash, and his leg is good for nothing. This girl, she really was something else, wasn't she? ... Though, she was pretty cute. Blue eyes .. Eye? Silver hair, a lil mole, and she liked cats! How could he stay mad at a cute face like that? .. Man, Molly sure knew how to pick'em, didn't she? In an exhausted tone, he couldn't help but chuckle a little as it all set in. "Sorry, sorry! That sounded silly ... I'm just not seein' ya too clearly, friend... Jeez.. Some people say you take their breath away but lemme tell you, I think you're takin' my sight away." Seriously though, he couldn't see. It should've been more alarming, but Felix had mastered the art of winging any situation. What he hadn't done, however, was made any attempt to get up. It just wasn't a thought that occurred to him, and he was far too dazed to give it a go.
Just like that, he felt a pressure eased off his chest. Though honestly, it wasn't much. How light was that girl anyways? His umber gaze would shift towards the boy with glasses, one he recognized fondly from his newfound memories. "Pfft. I'm not that bad! .. Am I? .. Oh wait. Zy, right. Sorry, Aaron. My mind is completely boggled right now from gettin' blindsided~" And thus the facade of talking with Felix would begin, starting with his own confusion on the matter. After all, it was hard to get over the fact that just a moment prior, you were the person in question. To make things even more confusing, the two of them had surely never met or even seen the horned boy before. So... How did he know their names, anyway? It was a struggle, but the boy managed to prop himself into a more upright position with his right arm. A smile would cross his face as a hand was extended towards him, kind as ever! Reaching up with his left, that's when the real struggle began. His sense of depth perception was tossed right out the window, and that was obvious when he missed the boy's hand three times before dropping his own. "Oooh, this is gonna be one of those days, ain't it? Guess I'll just take a sit ... Zy, how do you do this again? Nothin' looks right anymore! " Sure, while he might have the girl's memories, he sure wasn't used to having half the vision he use to. He'd need a solid minute, that's for sure, not to mention the dull pain that settled in his leg. That wasn't something he was ready for. So instead, his tunnel vision would look up towards the man who helped him and then the girl who crashed into him, wherever she went now that she wasn't weighing him down. Memories continued to click, of her being asked to the dance by him and them hitting the floor. That was too bad, she was pretty cute. Speaking of cute, a soft meow would sound as the gray feline waltzed up once again and brushed herself against Zylah's leg before climbing up onto Felix's shoulder. A grin crossed his lips instantly feeling the fur brush against him, eyes focusing on Zylah. "This was the kit kat you're lookin' for, right~? Looks like she gave you a run for your money, just like I hoped~" His grin grew playful as he shot a wink towards her, a small quirk that he had already picked up from her as he motioned back down to him. "I pet you're dying to pet her, she's super soft~"
"Of course I figured it out! I may be oblvious at most time, but I'm pretty sharp when I've had my eight hours!" he stated proudly. That smirk and that look. How he dreaded it and felt excited all at the same time. She's cooking something that raven colored crowned noodle of hers. Adam wanted to pry and pick at her for info, that she may or may not slip up and tell him, but the challenge of unpredictability was enticing to Adam. 'You may be good... but I'm better' she replied to him. "We'll see about that Ms. Thang." Adam squinted at her. The back and forth was one that he looked forward to everytime they were in the same room. Like when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, that's how Adam would describe their 'prank wars' because the outcome of who would win at the end of the day is unknown. Hearing her laugh put him at ease. It let him know that he was actually being a decent date. And that's all he wanted for now.
After collecting himself from his coughing fit he responded to her in a calm voice. "Oh yeah! Don't worry about me. Something just got caught in my throat is all." he said. He looked over to her to see an even bigger grin inching its way across her face. "Yo, what are you smiling about this time? I'm startin' to think you laughin' at my pain." he joked with a smirk. Adam was a bit taken aback at her reaction. He only stated what he felt was true. He didn't really see himself as special, but that's the result of his past and he didn't want to think about that. Move forward at all times. That's what he wanted. She remained silent for a second and her only action was a blink. He chuckled as she moved the conversation on.
"You're so weird!" he replied to her opposing statement. "Wow, if your Unc really is like that then I think him and I are gonna be best friends. If I ever meet him." he added. Not in an insulating way, but a way that showed he would be open to the opportunity. "A hunter, huh? And good enough to inspire someone with such high standards as you?! Man, he must be, what we call in the biz, the bee's knees!" he chuckled at his choice of words. No pun or joke. Just the mere phrasing makes him laugh. Why are the knees of bee's the definition of being cool? She went further to describe her uncle as a 'goofball and compare him to Adam. "Uh, excuse me, but I, my good woman, am a clown. I ain't work my way up to goofball. I gotta earn my stripes first." he said with a joking matter-of-factly attitude.
Though Adam was happy with the little things she's told him about her family he wanted her to tell him more. She was carrying a weight that was only harmful to her, but she puts herself through it anyway. He respected whatever decision she made not only as his leader, but as his friend. He wasn't going to badger her about everything so he kept silent about it as he will keep doing until she felt it was the right time. If ever, but that's completely up to her.
Adam pondered them being a comedic duo, but could only think of Cecil with a Fez on his head dancing as Adam played the organ box. Adam hunched over physically fighting the laughter trying to erupt from his body. He took a few deep breaths and spoke, I'd love to be duo, but Cecil would be Two Cold to the audience." he punned. Ridley offered that the two of them to share with them, but then mentioned the Devil's fruit. "Uh-uh! Ain't no us when that...abomination is involved!" he said pointing to the fruit. He saw the side-eye she gave him and tilted his head in response. Not one that says confusion, but one that puts emphasis on his revenge.
Adam couldn't help but to hang his head a playful defeat. "Azura! Not you , too!" he said showing his chagrin. "Don't take Ridley's side she's got it out for me!" he said motioning to her with her his head. "I know she's cooked up some type of elaborate plan with pulley systems and and trap doors that lead to me and pineapples being in the same room!" he said talking more to himself than his team at this point. He's said before his imagination is a powerful thing. Carrying him away into improbable situations, but with Ridley's determination and her accomplice, Azura the resourceful and prepared, he wouldn't rule it out.
Adam feigned hurt at Cecil's words. "You sayin' I wouldn't be a good partner?! We'd RAKE in the dough. It's unbe-LEAF-able that you would even say such a thing. People would FALL for our act left and right. It wasn't very ICE of you to say that, but I'll forgive you because you're a-maize-ing." he said. Adam couldn't help but feel pride at his pun barrage. He slammed his hand on the table and pointed at Cecil. "See! now that's what I'm talking about! THis man knows good stuff!" he announced. "Caramel( care-uh-mehl (That's how I pronounce it)) is one of the best things I have ever tasted. "Cecil, we're best friends now. You can't get rid of me at this point!" he stated honestly with a smile.

Kail would listen. Ren screamed again before going silent. THis wasn't the first time that he had done so. He was really afraid of what Kail was, even though Kail was a kind woman. She would sigh breifly before hearing someone else say that they were out. She wondered who they were. At this time, it was loud in here.
Kail would raise her hand to her head. She had been careful not to touch Ren, as her getting drunk would be bad. Her world was full of counting. If her numbers were off, bad things happened. "I sould prefer if you didn't hold onto him all night, but I'll make you a deal. You can keep him away from students, only if you get me some of that Jerky I smell on you. It smells delightful." Kail enjoyed food, even if she couldn't enjoy the aesthetic of it.
Auburn looked up as their team leader approached. So far, Reikka was the only one to know even a portion of Auburn's past and, so far, to Auburn's knowledge, she had kept it confidential. But, Auburn still stood by what she'd said back then. She felt it important that, at least the leader be aware of what made her teammates tick. What shaped them and where there might be issues. It had been uncomfortable to discuss, more so for Auburn and the next morning, the others would have woken to find her gone. Truth be told, she'd waited for them to sleep and took off, spending the entire night venting out her anger at her past against rees on the edge of campus.
The more time passed over the past couple weeks, the more things became obvious about auburn. She interjected whenever bullies cropped up, even if it had nothing to do with her and usually made them back down and cared very little for any attempts towards her. It seemed like someone could try to piss her off and she'd simply not notice. But, more notably, she was obviously academically behind pretty much everyone. To the point it became clear she had little education prior to Beacon. But, she learned relatively fast.
Here though, there was no running off. She was, for some baffling reason, required to be here. She was starting to get restless and, she knew why. She didn't enjoy fighting, no to the extremes she'd been raised with at least, but, her body expected it, was constantly prepared for it, and, yet, it never came. All those years of preparation were made useless and her body had no understanding of how to deal with it. She needed to fight. But, she would not lose control. Of that, she was determined.
She found herself drumming her fingers in agitation on the table at Asger's reply to her before he seemed to agree to move for the rest of them. She honestly did not care where she sat as long as she wasn't crowded. But, she waited to see where they sat and instead, took off to the buffet table. When she returned, she had a plate piled high with food just as Maru started to ask Asger something but cut off. She took a seat and began to eat. She ate almost as much as the three of them combined but, after explaining her Semblance to them, it made more sense. She trained with it regularly and it burned so much energy. And that was not taking her regular activity and size into account. However, the mention of parents and the invitation Asger issued made her pause at eating and she looked up from her plate at him."I'm not really interested in involving myself in other people's family lives. Your business is your own."
Weapon(s): Judgement is a massive sword that is 77" long, 14" wide and weighs 54 lbs, but, has no unique properties other than that. Auburn is able to wield this beast of a blade, even one-handed, because of her Semblance.
However, her boots and gauntlets are equipped with mini cannon-like guns that fire off dust rounds. (See Mission for image of gauntlets and boots)

Ella Fletcher "Would you like to go for a swim?"
Ella was quite glad to be out in the garden, although a little cooler than she would have wanted it to be. She remained silent as she walked with Remus, following after the other two in her team, Ella took in the surroundings - the garden really was decorated beautifully. She could hear the sound of running water, and instantly looked in the direction of where it was coming from, there was a lovely little bridge that went over a stream of water. It was a gentle stream and she enjoyed the sound of water, shock.
Chuckling at Remus as he joked about Henryk bribing with gifts, she decided to play along, "There's actually this new book I've been wanting to buy.." she said, pretending to think about the name of it as she continued to laugh along lightly. Ella noticed that Remus had led her to a chair and even pulled it out for her to take a seat on, "Oh, thank you Remus" she said, sitting down in the chair as she looked over at Chloris now, listening to what she had to say about the dancing.
Ella's brow raised, she was not a dancer. She looked to the ground a little, a worried look appeared on her face. "Dancing?" she said, almost like a question as she looked back up at Remus. "Apart from dancing on the couch to my favourite pop-stars when I was little, I haven't really done any dancing!" she said, yet another chuckle coming from her. "So be prepared to have a tragic dance partner Remus!" she added, laughing a lot louder as she somehow imagined how hilarious it was most likely going to look.
XXXRachel was certainly ready to take a bite of the boy. Faunus always had a unique taste, in her opinion. After all, they were mostly human with the exception of a few traits here and there, but something about their meat seemed to always have a diluted taste of their native animal. If she had to voice an opinion, the shark faunus most definitely preferred eating faunus in comparison to your every day human. A unique mixture of human and whatever animal they represented, there was just more flavor all around. Who wouldn't want a more unique palate of flavors to scarf down? Jaw open white, she lifted the rabbit boy higher in order to gulp him down in one smooth motion. At least, that's what she was putting on the show for, teasing herself more so than striking fear into the boy. Rachel knew all too well the restrictions placed on herself when she started attending the academy. Actually, she hasn't been allowed to eat any form of human or faunus since she was last left picking bits and pieces of Zaffre from her teeth. Still, scare tactics were fun and all. Especially when they came so naturally. However, what Rachel wasn't prepared for was the ear piercing, blood-curdling scream. Adrenaline coursed through her veins the very instant the sound burst against her eardrums, her body spazzing for a brief moment from the spook as she tossed the limp boy in the air. "Gaaah! You lil s**t, get back here!" The woman found herself frantically trying to catch the rabbit faunus, not wanting to let him hit the ground. ... well, not unless she was the one throwing him against the tiles for startling her. Once the boy was in her arms once again, she followed the same motion as before and tucked him under her arm as she intended to before.
... Wait, what was this? Rachel tilted her head curiously towards the snake woman who seemed to be trying to strike a bargain with her. Since when was that a thing? The thought of it gazed a toothy grin to stretch across her lips, not that the woman could see it. "Ehhh? You're wantin' some of my jerky? .. Man, that tongue of yours is way better than my nose will ever be. All I can smell is the booze on this kids breath." Really though. Sure, Rachel could smell a drop of blood from across the room, but Kail's sense of smell really was something else. It was all the more entertaining that it was with her tongue, just like the snake she represented. Though, maybe it was for the better that Rachel couldn't smell like her... Who knew were a spec of blood could be hiding, just a nose away from her? It'd certainly make the ball more exciting, trying to evade a bewildered shark faunus. Anyways. Bargaining, jerky for a bunny boy? Normally, Rachel wouldn't dare let go of food so easily. Even so, there was something about this that seemed like it could be the exception. "If it saves me from a borin' night watching the kiddos, then you got yourself a deal~ I'll get it delivered for ya, or else I might eat it tryin' to get it to you." The woman couldn't help but laugh at the thought, because it was entirely too true. She couldn't be trusted on her own with food for a damn second with that stomach of hers, so she wouldn't run the risk. After all, this woman really was saving her from a painfully sober night.
It seemed that the series of events may have been all too much for Rachel's friendly tiger faunus companion. From the screams of a rabbit boy to the approach of one of the known professors of Beacon, she took a very firm stance on leaving and announced it so. Cyan hues would dart towards the tiger faunus, tail twitching in annoyance as she stormed off to who knows where. "Oi! Tsu tsu! Wait up! --- Gotta bounce, Kail, I'm not lettin' that kit kat get away from me that easily." And just like that, Rachel was off again. Kail was certainly welcome to follow, but the woman was about to go bulldozing through a closing crowd in pursuit of the student who scared the crap out of her. In the midst of running, Ren continued to dangle and bounce by her side. "Tsu-tsu! Get back here! You ain't getting off the hook that easy!" No one scared Rachel and got away with it, not even if she had to catch them in her jaws to make up for it. While Ren continued to bob like a ragdoll, Rachel tried to close the distance between her and the annoyed tiger faunus... Maybe her attempts to yell at her would get her to stop? Also, the fuzzy feeling continued to grow bit by bit... How long would it take this boy to get her tipsy?
"You sure you aren't drunk?" Oswald asked her. He is sure that she isn't herself. "I don't think it can be spiked. Most of the students would use their abilities to take someone out. But just in case it is...I'll be right here" assuring that if she is harmed or something is wrong, Oswald would be right here. He looked over his shoulder and saw Ren being himself. He took a deep breath and sighed. "I am still trying to know my team and I have to ask, do you think Ren could get us in serious trouble?"

The tiger faunus continued to storm away in a huff, even as she heard the giantess trying to come after her. Many a displeasured exclamation could be heard behind her as she made a path for the front entrance."I will not stop just because you ask me to, teacher or not,"She thought saucily. Her tail would twitch rapidly with agitation. At the mention of getting away, the young woman frowned and turned around to stand before the shark faunus.
Her hands rest in fists at her side and her sharp nails dug into the palms of her hands as agitation was clear in her icy-blue eyes. Her gaze momentarily rested on the rabbit faunus that was under Rachel's arm before returning defiantly to the cyan eyes of the other predator faunus."I am not running away. You don't get it do you?!"She snapped at the teacher. She didn't care if it was inappropriate, she did it anyways."When I am with you, I want your attention on me. You just so easily give it to others."She took a deep breath to calm herself before quietly, slowly exhaling. Thoughts of her eldest sister scolding her for such childish behavior coming to mind. Instead she just scowled."It's just obnoxious and hurtful,"She finished a little more calmly. Was it embarrassing? Maybe, but she didn't care at this moment.

XXX.. What was it about this man? The day they met, and even now, he managed to pull her from the dark thoughts that her mind often lulled in. A feat that even Lafalle struggled with, despite knowing her inner workings. Was it a sense of relatability, or a mutual respect for competition and honor? With each step, Yui's mind continued to wander and mull at the thoughts to begin comprehending what sort of impact his presence was having on her. To pull her from such a somber state of mind, to ignite the passion that consumed and burned her very soul. Her embers had burned so low, becoming nothing more than kindling that suffocated within her glass box. So deprived of oxygen, nearing its extinguishment. Yet, time and time again, Kail and Garret would strike that glass box to fill it with cracks, to let oxygen in to fuel the dying flame. '.. Is this really okay? To keep letting them in, to no longer conceal... What if mother was to discover?' Uncertain thoughts began to plague her mind with worry, knowing very well her mother's own opinion on the matter. By attending the beach, by assisting Kail, she had let herself slip from the path she etched out for her. To continue to allow them to influence her, to bare her soul to the outside world. Was this really okay to do? In the past two weeks, she hadn't even gotten a single call or text from her mother... Was something amiss? Had she already made another mistake? ... No, a mistake would be met with a direct connection, such silence was uncommon. Then what was it? A thought she'd had to return to another time, as she felt herself guided away by Garret. Tailing behind him, Yui would pull up the two scrolls and begin tapping away at one of them, sending a group message to her team before sending a message to this "Maria Sinclair".
'I apologize for my belated arrival, some issues arose during my preparation. I will be arriving shortly, along with an escort. I do hope to see you all soon. - Yui L.' To Team OHKY ... 'I'm almost to the ball. I apologize for my lateness and will follow up upon my arrival. - Yui L.' To Maria Sinclair / Prism
The young woman found the amount of security quite surprising, to even be stopped at the door. In the transit, Yui had wondered what Garret planned to do with his weapons, as they were supposed to be disarmed at the ball. Why was it that he was able to keep them on his person? .. Right, he worked for the academy in some manner, one that she wasn't quite familiar with. Surely he wasn't a teacher, as she rarely saw him walk the halls of Beacon. A curious blue gaze would follow the man as he continued to lead her through the doors, a curious gaze shifting to one of surprise and admiration. The room was stunning, the attention to detail reminding her fondly of the faintest glimpse she caught of a ball that the Lioncourt Family had attended. She by no means was meant to be in attendance as a child, but such a sight was reminiscent of that time ... The hours of effort, the attention to detail. Creating a wonderland that embodied the very thing it was meant to represent so seamlessly, like stepping into another world. Not even her imagination could recreate such a beautiful display, a once in a lifetime opportunity. To think, she almost passed up the opportunity to attend. "... Truly magnificent.." Her words were soft, hushed, trying to take every moment to the memory of their arrival. Blue hues would continue to pan the room before a memory of Lafalle chimed. To make an entrance, for being so fashionably late. As if in sync, Garret's own question of arrogance would meld with that thought. Eyelids over blue hues would fall lazily for a moment, before opening wide as her gorgeous white wings flapped to kick up a small gust of wind, one that may surely bring the eyes of some attendees to herself to show off her aunt's work... The somber beauty that mirrored the image of her soul.
"Whether it be a couple or dozens.. Aunt Laffee made our task clear. Numbers mean nothing when they fall and scatter as the autumn leaves." ... His arrogance was infectious, so much was clear in her manner of speaking. To think only a few short moments ago, such fiery eyes of passion were trapped in such a somber cloud. Though a thought did occur to her, at his question of their style. He offered a salsa to amaze them with, but Yui had no idea how to dance. There was a brief pause, a series of thoughts mulling to try and approach the situation the best she could before she let it slip. "If you believe that would suit us, I can accept that. However... I believe you will need to take the lead and instruct me. I was never permitted to perform in a manner that didn't involve a weapon, but.. I'm sure I can adapt to the motions. Are those terms acceptable?" In terms of Yui, she had no idea how to dance, but she was confident in her ability to pick up the motions with proper instruction. After all, her entire life was revolved adaptability and grace. If she couldn't pick up something so simple as steps, then what were all those years of training for? Yui continued to follow his lead step by step as they entered a clearing before it occurred to her. "Oh ... I do apologize, Garret, but I need a moment. At some point tonight, I need to return a student's misplaced scroll. .. I just need to inform them I'm here." With but a moment of her attention being pulled away from Garret, she lifted the scrolls once more in her free hand and began to tap away with her single thumb. It was a rude occurrence, but it was the only other reason she had intended to attend such an event. 'I've arrived. I'm currently at the dance floor. If you'd like to meet me, do look for a woman in a blue lace dress with wings. They should be difficult to miss, but if you do, I am also with a gentleman carrying two spears on his back. Red and gold. I hope to meet with you soon. - Yui L.' It was only a small wall of text, but it was surely enough information to make her presence known if they were seen. Hopefully, if they did arrive, they would let her and Garret finish whatever dance they were to perform. Shifting her focus, she would tug the set of scrolls away and bring her undivided attention to Garret. Focusing her pale blue hues, a more serious tone began to settle in as her gaze locked with his own. "I do apologize, I'm ready now. Where do we begin?" There wasn't the faintest trace of hesitance in her voice, unlike the events leading to this moment. A serious gaze of blue, focused on Garret and Garret alone. Whatever he wished to do, Yui was ready to follow his lead. Whether it was beginning a dance or attending the rest of the ball.
Henryk was glad Chloris seemed to not mind that his gift was nothing new or fancy like most people decided to do gifts. She even went as far as to mention that gifts just need to come from the heart, her soft smile almost melting his. It almost made him not want to get revenge with a prank on her at some point...almost. He hadn't expected Chloris to have such a range of emotions from his initial assumption. She had a sense of humor, seemed thoughtful and kind, was as curious as a person could be...his initial impression of her was that she would be serious and boring, fun to prank, but not much for anything else. He was glad to have been proven wrong in that regard. And, as his scatter brained mind returned to what led him to this line of thought, he had to agree with what she said. He liked making his gifts personal instead of buying the most expensive thing. People, like him, usually liked it the most...even when his gifts were more of a joke than anything. 'Plus it helps a guy out when he is low on funds.' He joked to himself.
As he had led the way, and accidentally grabbed Chloris' hand, he was relieved when she seemed not to mind it at all nor for her mind to go to where his did. His mind having jumped to the insinuation people got when a guy held a girls hand...But her mind didn't seem to go there, more so she seemed comfortable with it. Or maybe it did and she was more mature than him, one or the other and he had no desire to bring more attention to it, just being grateful she seemed fine with it and urged him to lead on. Even going as far to squeeze his hand gently...and thankfully slipping her hand out of his when they arrived as he would have forgotten to. While most guys were wildly into girls and relationships...he didn't think he was? He was a performer, used to being distant from most regular people and everyone in the circus was family so you never really fell in love with someone you thought of as a sister. It wasn't gender either, he knew he didn't like guys that way so it must be he was just late in that... 'What was I doing again?' He silently thought to himself as he noticed everyone around a table he chose and suddenly remembering.
Henryk pouted as both Remus and Chloris shot down finding out all their secrets, though Chloris seemed fine with a few leaking. Hearing Remus'...jest, confirming he was someone who had a sense of humor that he could potentially recruit for his pranks, made Henryk adopt a thoughtful expression as if he was seriously considering his suggestion. He brought his index finger up to his lip and tapped lightly against it, making himself seem lost in thought before raising that hand up in the air as an A hah moment. "I think I saw some back inside...if I hurry I should be able to get some...So I guess you shall be our first victi- I mean you'll be asked first!" Henryk would respond seriously, point directly at Remus as he could barely contain his own laughter at the end of it, clearly joking about it all. He was glad his team seemed to have a sense of humor, even if it wasn't exactly like his own.
It was then that everyone seemed to focus on the dance competition he mentioned. He had a feeling it would get a response like that for them, they didn't jump into things quite like he did. Heck, he was still standing up, having gotten too excited and in the role for his own jest to have really calmed down enough to sit. He was half tempted to jump onto his seat and strike a pose even...but resisted for now. Mostly so someone didn't accidentally head butt him again, he didn't get the bubble wrap installed for his head yet. While Remus confessed he had limited skills, Chloris asking if he was truly confident, and Ella admitting her skills lay in couch dancing and being a tragic dance partner...Henryk gave a shrug with a smile as he gazed at his team before he spoke. "Truth be told I don't know any of those formal dances. I have a few of my own style that tends to draw a lot of attention though!" He would admit to not being experiences, but that hardly seemed to dull his excitement or confidence for it. He would then continue after his brief, dramatic, pause. "But does it really matter if we know how to dance? It'll be fun anyway, and i'm sure there are enough others who don't know either, so we won't make fools of ourselves for trying...Though that would be a good way to draw attention..." He would begin, not really into it for the competition of it all but just because he thought it would be fun to do. It was something active, and he didn't get to do it often. On most days, that was enough to get him to want to do something. He almost seemed to be legitimately considering it... Before he would then look back at Chloris and stick his tongue out lightly with a smile. "Though if its a partner style of dance I may try something less embarrassing for you. So I remember you mentioning knowing a dance back where you came from. I'm a quick learner, so shall we give that one a try?" Henryk would finish, giving her the choice of what kind of dance they wanted to do. If she didn't give him one he could always improvise like he usually did, but he did want to try something new. Life got boring if you stayed in your old ways, and if you always did freestyle, he counted that as staying in your old ways. ✘ Post count: 29 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: Plot 1 a success Outfit

Chloris was pleased to have the foliage towards her back as the basket was set under her chair to keep it safe and out of the way for now. Chuckling softly as Remus and Ella jested about gifts in exchange for their deepest, darkest secrets making her smile and laugh softly; a gentle soprano of a sound almost like chimes in a gentle breeze. She had to admit that the energy of their team was indeed compatible and complimentary at the same time. Henryk's energy was also infectious, which helped to lessen any anxieties that one may have had. She enjoyed her teammates in the best way."I feel lucky to have met y'all."She said after she caught her breath.
Smiling as she leaned back against her seat, pondering if it was possible they could or would always be like this. As thoughts turned to the dance competition, she began to worry if it was a couples competition or a group competition. Remus had mentioned knowing enough to save Ella's feet from being stepped on. Ella on the other hand had no dancing knowledge apart from seated dancing to pop; so no experience. It was all good, so long as they had fun. Right?
Mossy-green eyes turned to Henryk as he mentioned he was no good at formal dances but was skilled in his own form of attention-grabbing dance; whatever that was. The petite young woman then smiled coyly as Henryk pointed out she had mentioned knowing a dance from her homeland and looked down slightly."Well, it's usually only to celebrate the last of the harvest and the other form is to celebrate after sowing the seeds in hopes of a great harvest in the future,"She explained sheepishly before looking back to the ram faunus then straightened up."They are both different. So it would be up to you which one you would want to learn first. I'd be happy to show you either,"She retorted then smiled up at him as she would await his answer.

Feralis knew the effect his nickname would have on Kendall. He had almost wanted her to attack him just so he could teach that cat a lesson. What did she expect when her first words to him were dog breath...It was not so much the words but the intent. He could care less how his breath was or how he was, he lived with wolves. He preferred the company of wolves. He shunned most of what civilized society had to offer. It was his way, and ironically enough, his name explained him perfectly. Feral. He found normal humans and faunus to be far too tame. To have willingly given up their freedom in order to exist in cozy, comfy lives. So it mattered not that he didn't care for her words. He remembered her use of them in the past, how it had always been to demean him. You did not stand for that in the wild, to let it pass would be to become a beta or an omega. You had to bare your fangs and challenge them as strongly in return as you could. If it came to blows it was fine to him. It always had been, and always will be. He knew little of Kendall in truth. They had been on a team for a long time, had fought together, but he knew nothing of her past or life outside of them team and she knew nothing of his. And while he knew she was no mere house cat like the beta in his new team...he knew how much it irked her when he insinuated. He wasn't even sure why, but once he found what range of nicknames made her blood boil he stuck by them. It had been the cause of one of their more violent fights.
He had never understood what the cats issue had been, as she seemed to have one with him from the very beginning. He had been perfectly willing to cooperate with her from the beginning but the cat seemed more like a demon than a person, or even an animal. And with his own nature...he never backed down from a fight and was always brutal. It was just part of his nature to be savage in regards to fight, and he was always spoiling for one. A persons nature could usually be determined by one, and it was his way of growing stronger for his pack. Back then though, when he was less with his pack...he had been a bit less aggressive than he was now. He wasn't used to being challenged as often as Kendall seemed to want to, the damned cat never realizing she would not win against him. He always fought tooth and nail to ensure that...though he did with every fight. It was not enough to merely beat your opponent, you had to beat them in a way that showed who was in charge. Though...as much as he hated the thought he had never been able to do so with the cat. It was always a back and forth...she was the reason why he hated cats and feline faunus in general. As while none of them had been a pain in the a** as her, she had set the standard for him. It was why he got so aggressive, any ground given to Kendall led to weeks of her touting it over him and constantly reminding him. So he wanted to ensure no one else could do so like she had.
But all those thoughts of kendall, even the threat from her words, evaporated instantly when he had heard and seen his leader. She was the person he always strived to be like, his own personal goal of being stronger for his pack and to protect those he cared for strength both physically and mentally. Whenever he and Kendall fought, together, against each other, against Rachel...She was usually the one to break things up. She knew action needed action in order to solve things, and would usually beat the living hell out of the pair of them to break them up. Though in the situation where words mattered, she could stop both of them dead in her tracks. She had his respect from the very first day, and never gave him a reason to take it away or doubt it. While he and the cat were relatively equal in strength, maria was on an entirely different level. She had been the alpha of their pact...but it wasn't just her strength he admired. She had been caring, far more than any other "civilized" creature in his life. She was always there to lend an ear, was fair, and was fun in their off time as rare as that was for a team like them. He had found her to at least be a friend in his younger years...maybe more, though he was too young for such thoughts then and it was far too late now. She was the only reason he had stayed with that team, having felt like leaving so many times despite developing a begrudging respect for Kendall due to how often they were at odds with one another. He had no family at that time, still preferring people over wolves back then, but Maria had made the team the closest thing to a family he had had in a long while.
And now...the sight before him was not the girl he had seen five years ago. She was not the beacon of strength and will she had been in that time...she seemed almost lifeless in her new body, despite the tears in her own eyes...His pinnacle of strength had withered, and wasted away...in only five years he could only just recognize her, her scent even changing from one of strength to one of weakness. He wanted to deny it, deny it was her...That this was some misunderstanding, some confusion, some horrible nightmare. He had always believed, always, that she had recovered from her sickness and went on to live her life. That he couldn't find her at the academy because she had no more need of it and moved on...Not because Kendall had been right. Not because he had been ignoring the obvious signs that she was degrading. He could never had admitted to himself, or allow her to believe it. But, standing in front of him was proof that he had been denying it all along. He couldn't lie to himself anymore...as memories of that horrid day came to mind. How he had been viciously arguing with Kendall that she could go on, she could fight it...how they had descend into blows, smashing furniture and drawing more blood then usual as he almost wanted to beat the words out of her. And then...her fall as she wanted them to stop...of Rachel coming in and pulling him away from the cat to say Maria was no longer leader...He would've gone to her aid if the cat hadn't been there. It was a combination of guilt and anger at the cat for Maria falling that made him storm off...led to his tragic disappearance for an entire year, only to come back and find no one there.
Which led to her next words...as their gazes locked onto one another, though he felt like turning away in shame as he heard the words. His legs were shaking as he took a step towards her...trying to find the words to say but not being able to...taking another step towards her as tears were freely flowing down his face. He had a reason for why, something she would understand...but the words would not leave his mouth. They felt too inadequate, he felt too inadequate. He should have tried harder to stay, shouldn't have run away. He should've just bared through his anger and guilt, stayed after she fell. His footsteps were still slowly bringing him closer to her...until he was almost towering over her form in her wheelchair. Towering over the person whos presence had always towered over him...one he could only just barely now feel. Tears still streaming from his eyes, he tried to speak. "I...I...Didn't mean to...I came back...as soon as I coul..." He would begin, unable to fully explain why as he felt his ability to speak escaping him. He suddenly sank to both his knees as he could no longer keep himself standing from the guilt and the pain, head bowed down as he couldn't bear to keep his gaze on her any longer. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry...You weren't...here when I...Came back..." He would again try to speak, his crying intensifying until he could no longer even speak.
She always had that look about her, that look of otherness... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Head throbbing, room spinning, her vision blurred in front if her. The girl had enough issues with her vision it was, the dark spots swimming before her eye certainly didn't help. It made it hard to focus on much of anything and she wasn't entirely aware of her surroundings... not that she ever was. Clearly, because if she were they likely wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. She thought she heard someone call her name, a familiar voice tainted with worry, but honestly she couldn't be sure at this point. The voice floated through her head, bouncing iff the walls of her skull, but trying to focus on it inky made her fuzzier, so she gave up. It took several moments but she began replaying that last few moments in her head. There had been a cat one moment, and the next a horned boy. It was at that moment that realization hit through her fogged mind and mismatched hues would widen at the clarity. White orb hidden behind silver locks, while the bright cerulean gaze of the other locked on the umber hues beneath. It was at that moment that she seemed to comprehend she was lying on top of him, but it also didn't seem to phase her much. Whether that was due to the jumble her brain was currently in, or it was just the usual Zylah way with a lack for personal space, was really hard to say. As the boy she'd just toppled into finally spoke, it was clear he was just as dazed as she was. Really she'd done a number on him, she should probably come with some sort of caution sign. Only. That didn't work well with the hazard could get around nearly as well on a broken leg as most people could one two perfectly intact ones. At the mention of the cat, she would look around once more, but the fluffy creature was no where to be seen at the moment. Returning her gaze to the boy with the horns, she would tilt her head in confusion at his mention of how everything had gone black on his left side. Everything was always black on her left side, but that just didn't make sense. He didn't look blind... and last time she checked that wasn't contagious. The little huntress was silent as she watched him, cerulean gaze sparking with an enthralled curiosity as she tried to piece it all together. She was entirely too mesmerized to realize that she should probably move off of him.
His next comment only seemed to confirm the thoughts swirling around in her mind, as impossible as it seemed. Blinking in surprise, she poked his left cheek gently, without any regard ti his own bubble. She was just trying to piece this all together. After the poke, she reached up with her other hand, sweeping them hair out if her face and revealing that pearly white iris that she always kept hidden from the world. It was such a stark contrast with the bright azure color if her other eye, it was almost pretty. However, to her is was just a sign of betrayal. A sign of weakness. It was a weakness she tried to hide from the world. It was why she never told anyone, not even her team, despite it leading her into precarious situations. It was why she hid it with her hair rather than a patch. To keep it as nirmal as possible... because as bubbly and cheery as it often seemed, there was a darkness hidden in her past. Years of neglect, abuse, torture, and agony. Thinking of her left eye, what she had lost, the person who took it... it hurt. So she hid it from herself as well. To keep it off her mind as much as she could. After all, after living for five years with screwed depth perception, a person just got used to it. True to her one track mind that often veered off course. Thoughts of Molly were all but gone for now. She just wanted to k ow why this boy couldn't see. "Wait... you can't see? But I thought... I didn't..." The concept seemed beyond her grasp and a baffled Zylah was both a rare and amusing sight. Often when things went over her head she at least played along. It took her a moment, but she seemed to shake off the confusion after a moment, a signature smirk tugging on the corner's of her lips. "Stealing your sight, eh? If that's not a beat trick I don't know what is." Her tone was playful, teasing. This was the side if Zylah her team would be so used to. A side he would be used to, seeing as unbeknownst to her, he now held her memories.
Just a fee moments later, she felt to hands clasp around her and gently pull her to her feet. Tilting her head around she would then notice Aaron as he lectured her on her more careful. A wide grin would spread on her lips, falsely innocent. As cute as she might be. Nothing could hide the mischief behind her mismatched orbs, both in full vire cor once. White and blue. Zylah was a trouble maker and she was fully aware if that fact, even if her stunts often started with things as silly and innocent as chasing a cat around a ballroom. It wasn't always her intentions that were bad, she the brash way she often went about it. Example one, the multitudes if people she had paved during her mad dash. Example two. The boy she'd just run right over. "Oops?" The statement was more like a question, not so much an admittance if guilt. "I just wanted to pet the cat." Despite the giant red welt plastered ti the center if forehead and the lump that was sure to form, she seemed unphase by it. There were too many other things in her mind to focus on something as menial as the ache in her head. She may have come about the skill in a very tragic way, but the girl was very good at blocking out pain and her semblance only amplified that. However. She did let herself lean against his shoulder. She still was rather dizzy from the while fiasco and her leg was screaming just a bit louder than usual with all the extra running about. Not to mention the crash and burn. As Felix spoke again, her head snapped right back to his, that same curious gleam in het eyes. Not only did he deem to have picked up on the blindness in her left eye, but he already seemed to know their names somehow. "Curiouser and couriser..." She would speak the thought aloud to herself. At his question she would simply shrug, though she was still rather baffled by the entire thing, watching as he missed Asron's hand by several 8nches multiple times. "You get used to it after living with screwed depth perception for five years."
It wasn't long before the cat which had started this whole mess strut back up to them, brushing against Zylah's leg before returning to Felix. The little huntress once again looked as if she might take another bound forward, eyes full of excitement. She did glance sideways at Aaron however brief the moment. She had already abandoned her date on the dance floor for the cat once. However, Felix's offer she just couldn't help herself. She would race forward with Aaron's arm around her, so if he was persistent un keeping her out if trouble, he would be dragged with her. Dropping to her knees in front of Felix, once again without regard to the dress she was wearing ir anyone's personal bubble, she would reav out a delicate hand and scratch the cat gently behind the eats. The smile on her face said it all, complete contentment and a childlike adoration. "She's so cute... I always wanted a cat." She would start the statement, but halfway through a strange look would cross her face and she would bring her gaze back up to Felix's. "Wait... hie do you know are names? And why don't we know yours?" She would question while her hand continued ti gently stroke the cat. After all, she had chased the little minx across the entirety of the room, she wasn't going to miss out on this opportunity after all that work.

The smaller faunus had managed to pay attention to her surroundings now that she and her team had be reunited in the ever so popular ball of sorts. She looked at the many items of food and everything in front of her and would feel her stomach growl out of hunger. What had happened to that other plate of hers? A quick stroll back through her memory was all it took for to remember about the whole "throwing the plate outside in the grass" accident. Whoopsie. The tiny crusader quickly got a quick view of the table before her while quickly stacking a multitude of any kinds of food that were within her arm's reach. Nox would seem to react to her well enough.
"I'm fine. A little excited for the events of the night actually."
For the first impression that she had seen from the woman, Yenna would have sworn that she was going to be quite the stickler but it appeared that her fears were for nothing. Nox had been shown to be fairly nice to everyone on their team. Even if she had a fairly weird way of showing it. They shared eye direction for a second before Nox had caught wind of her little slip up.
"Is something wrong Yenna? You seem a little distraught."
It was nix she took some amount of pity on her and manage to ask her if anything was wrong. Obviously it was but she was much to proud to admit that was the case here. Curse her rough exterior and not letting anybody in. Yenna would hesitate but then slowly move her head up and down. "N-No..." Looking to Nox for her input on the matter, Yenna would go along just speak it right then and there.
It took some doing, but Yenna would speak in that cockney accent of hers again. "Sorry. Everythin' ain't alright. I just...They...It's just..." She stumbled over her own words for a good minutes or so before she kicking the ground out of frustration and crossing her arms, her normally cheerful face in a very serious pout. "I'm just fed up. With everythin'. Everyone's out an' enjoyin' themselves and I'm stuck...like this." Yenna motioned to herself. Not in a dress of any kind. "Just a flat chested lil' freak that nobody would wanna be around."
A tear hit the top of her boot, Yennefer looking down at it as tears began to flow out of her eyes. She would close her eyes and silently cry to herself. "I didn't even wanna wear a dress here. I'll look like a bloody doll instead of a student here...I just wanna be normal and not a shrimp. I don't think it's too much ta ask for..."
