██ ╫ A R C H E T Y P E ╫
█NATURAL ABILITIES █Primary Talent ▬ Swordplay: it comes easily and naturally to her. She excels in this combat style and wields her blade to its fullest capability. █Faunus Trait/Bonus Talent ▬ Zylah is a rather tiny and innocent looking person and she uses that to her advantage. She is much stronger and vicious than what people first interpret and often times her opponents underestimate her, she let's them think that, plays along and takes them down when they are least expecting it. █Other Talents ▬ Stealth: While usually she us rather loud and flamboyant, she knows how to get around without being scene and tends to be very sneaky. Due to years of torture, the girl has learned to take a hit. It takes more than the average person to bring her to her knees and she can fight through more pain than most. █LEARNT ABILITIES █Strongest Skill ▬ Acrobatic Combat: Zylah can easily throw herself in the air, flip, twist, turn, and still land on her feet in a fight. █Weakest Skill ▬ Zylah has a tendency to lack restraint. In a fight she often forgets about her own health and safety and will charge in head on with a complete disregard for her own life, sometimes simply for the thrill of it, sometimes when people she cares about are involved. She often doesn't think before she charges into a battle and ends up paying the consequences for it. She has a hard time taking anything seriously, even a battle, which often gets her into trouble. █Other Skills ▬ Zylah is an excellent climber. Her small size allows her to climb higher and go more unnoticed. Her seemingly innocent nature also helps her in collecting information most people might not be able to obtain, people sometimes drop their guard and let it slip. She's learned to keep her emotions hidden when she needs to and has a very good poker face.
█LIKES █ ▬ She used to sing, but not so much anymore █ ▬ A good sense of humor █ ▬ Anything sweet █ ▬ Thrill seeking █ ▬ Cats █DISLIKES █ ▬ Bland or boring █ ▬ Anything bitter █ ▬ Being bossed around █ ▬ Rats and Mice █ ▬ Cages/Chains, Sleeping, People █PERSONALITY TRAITS █Nature ▬ While it might not be obvious, Zylah is just slightly off kilter. The girl isn't insane, but her brain definitely works slightly different than most. One might even go as far as to say she is a bit broken. Despite that she is loud and vibrant and con almost always be found smiling or giggling. She is constantly looking for her next stunt and has a hard time sitting still. Boredom is her worst enemy. At times she can be a bit childish with her giddy joy, yet if you watch closely enough you'll see a depth to her eyes, both dark and light. There is turmoil in her soul, no matter how she tries to hide it behind a bubbly façade. █Vernacular ▬ Her voice is honey-sweet, almost too sweet, and usually doesn't match the sarcastic or off-kilter remarks that are leaving her lips. █Positive Traits ▬ Playful, Sarcastic, Humorous, Guarded, Caring in her own twisted way. █Negative Traits ▬ Self-Destructive, Cunning, Lacks Restraint, Abrasive, Slightly-Sadistic
██ ╫ H I S T O R Y ╫
█BACKGROUND ▬ Zylah was born the only child to two very anti-faunus parents. They lead rallies and protests and caused trouble wherever they could. In her younger years, Zylah didn't understand exactly what any of it meant, she just craved the love and attention that her parents never gave her. It would be going a little far to say that her parents abused her. She was well-fed, well-dressed, and always sent to the best and most expensive private academies. She had everything her little heart could possibly desire, at least, anything money could buy. However, the girl missed out on the affection that is so vital in a child's development. From the time that she was an infant, she was left with a nanny most days out of the week. Even when her parents were actually home, they kept the nanny around to tend to her so that they could focus on their work. Her parents never played with her, read her stories, sung her lullabies, and hardly ever held their daughter in their arms. One might begin to wonder why they even bothered having a child in the first place. It didn't take the girl long to start wondering the same herself. As Zylah grew older, she started acting out, hoping that her misbehavior might draw her parents attention. Even attention in the form of scolding or punishment was better than nothing, however the tantrums and outbreaks didn't even have the slightest effect on them. They ignored her just as much as they ever had.
It wasn't until she was seven that she really began to understand what kept her parents so busy. She resented them for letting their hate of another race dominate them so much that it effected every other aspect of their lives. She never understood what made her parents hate the Faunus so much, and thus she gave up on her attempts to seek out their affection as well as her attempts to understand it. It was a few years later that her life really took a turn for the worst. Clearly her parents had angered countless Faunus by this point, but one group in particular. This group was a more extreme than others and was vastly lacking in morals. In the dead of night they snuck into their house and stole the young girl from her bed. They had hoped they would be able to hold her as a hostage and in doing so take advantage of her parents and get them to stop with all of their anti-faunus tactics. Or at least haggle a lump sum pf cash to help with their future endeavours. However, little did they know how little the girl's parents actually cared about her. It wasn't even them that realized she was gone at first, but rather her nanny. Her parents were given the opportunity to receive their daughter home safely if they stopped their antics, but they refused. They then threatened their daughter's safety with every rally her parents hosted. Each stunt caused another one of the many scars that litter the girl's body. Ultimately they were threatened with the girl's life to which they still refused.
The Faunus group put on a show for her parents, faked her death just to try and show that they weren't bluffing. They had hoped that the despair of seeing their daughter die because of their choices might knock some sense into them. Even that didn't work. So the girl remained with the Faunus, fed only enough to be kept alive, barely, and treated more like an animal than a human being. Even though she was in no way responsible for her parents' actions, they took their anger out on the girl, further scaring her body and traumatizing her both emotionally and mentally. It remained this way for five years. It was in this period of time that her personality really began to develop. A playful nonchalance. A bitter sense of humor. A distance. A shield to prevent anyone from getting close to her. The girl pushed everyone away, a dislike and a distrust for anyone, human or Faunus, consuming her. It was all a mask to hide the deeper torment she was feeling. It was also in this time that she discovered her semblence. The girl had gone through unspeakable ways of torture, agony, and pain. However, through her semblence she was able to numb that pain, at least for a short period of time. It was enough to help get her through, but not in one piece. A part of her broke, a piece that could never truly be put back together. A shattered piece of her soul that would remain forever in that cage.
Yet, even in this never ending expanse of darkness, there was the slightest ray of light. Just one other something that helped to get her through this hellish nightmare her life had become. Or rather, a someone. There was a boy about her age, a child of the members of the group. He had discovered her locked up in her cell one day and had taken to visiting her. They talked for hours and grew rather close. It was the first time Zylah had actually felt like someone cared for her. It opened up a weak spot, made her vulnerable, or at least that's how she saw it now. Back then it was a solace, an outreached hand. A tiny sliver of the love she'd craved her whole life. Now it was a mistake, and the very reason she had built such impenetrable walls around her heart. Love was weakness, love was dangerous. In the end, it only ever hurt, and for what? A few moments of peace? It wasn't worth it, but she was to young and naïve to have seen that then. Deeper feelings began to blossom in her for this boy and soon enough the confinement and the torture didn't really seem that bad. Not if she got to talk to him at the end of the day. It went on like this for quite some time. She confided in him things she'd never even spoken out loud, clutching desperately at his fingers through the bars of her cell. He would bring her treats and bandages, and tell her childish fairytales until she fell asleep. That all came to a traumatizing end when his parents discovered what was going on. As a way to punish both their son and the human girl they saw as trash, the forced him to commit the treacherous acts of torture they'd been doing themselves. That's when she lost the vision in her left eye. It didn't scar or leave an ugly mark. However, her bright blue iris turned a milky white and she has soon nothing but total darkness from that eye ever since. She remembers all too vividly the agonizing burn as he dropped the crystalline liquid into her eye while his father roughly held her head and his mother yanked her lid open. She remembers the cold sense of dread that seeped through her until she was numb. She laughs at herself for it now, but she had expected him to refuse, to put up a fight. Even the slightest bit of resistance on his part could have vastly effected her outlook on life, and on people. He apologized after, cried even, but it mattered little in her eyes. His betrayal had cut her deep, pushed her over the edge. The walls and shields she'd put up before were magnified tenfold, impenetrable. She would not let anyone in. She would not trust anyone, because no one was worth being trusted. People lied, cheated, deceived, and ultimately hurt... that was all. She didn't hate faunus or humans. She hated everyone.
It was in the fall of Atlas, just a few short months later, that she was finally able to escape. In all the turmoil that the grim brought, her existence was nearly forgotten, just long enough for her to escape that prison. Some how she survived long enough to make it to the evacuation point where she was transported to Vale. It wasn't long after that she ran into 'The Tribe'. Their hideout in the woods became like a haven to her and in exchange for food, shelter, and companionship, at least as close as you could get with Zylah, she helped them with their cause. It was in her time here that she was taken in by a rather devious figure. To her, it didn't matter that his morals were twisted and his intentions were cruel. It didn't matter that he was manipulating her, using her. At the time, she didn't even realize that's what he was doing. Again, she'd found someone that was willing to give her the attention and praise she had always longed for. What she felt for him couldn't exactly be called love, no more than the way he felt about her, but for the first time in a long time, she was safe. So she answered to his call, followed his every order, bloodied her tiny, innocent hands, all for him. All the while she had grown numb, impartial, not even truly aware of what she was doing. It was a way of survival, it was all she had. The only option left. While she didn't necessarily hate the Faunus, she was still quite bitter after what had gone through. However, she had leaned that you couldn't trust anyone, human or Faunus. Still, she had no where else to go, so this is where she stayed and this is what she did. When she turned seventeen, Zaffre decided it might be a good idea for her to enroll in Beacon so that they could have a man on the inside. She was accepted into Beacon under false paperwork. Too the knowledge of everyone else, she is just an orphan girl who attended a regular high school and somehow managed to pass all the entrance exams to the school anyway. Little do they know just how wrong they are.

█PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Imperiosus █ ▬ Zylah wields a large claymore that can transform into a close-range shotgun. Both forms can use dust for added corresponding effects. █Melee Form ▬ Claymore Measuring 45 inches total, her sword stands nearly as tall as she is. It takes both of her hands to wield and she has to carry it on her back. She can insert dust into the hilt for add effects, these effects will last for five posts. █Ranged Form ▬ Shot Gun: The gun shoots 12 gauge shells and can only hold three at one given time before having to reload. She can also use dust rounds if she has them available. It is only accurate up to 50 yards. █Other Form(s) ▬ N/A █Ammo Type ▬ Physical █ ▬ Imperiosus is a two handed weapon, in both forms. In claymore form, she would not even be able to lift it without both of her hands, let alone take a swing. These keeps her hands busy, preventing her taking any other form of defense while wielding her weapon. If she were to injure her arm in battle, she would not be able to use her weapon, leaving her rather defenseless.
█*NAME ▬ Auctus █*AURA COLOR ▬ Crimson █*DESCRIPTION █ ▬ Zylah's semblance increases her speed as well as her physical strength while simultaneously numbing her pain sensors for a short period of time to enable her to give a more damaging blow while temporarily shielding her from the pain of any attacks she receives along the way. She still receives physical damage from these attacks, she just can't feel them while her semblance is active. █Level Zero ▬ Increases her speed and strength by 50% and reduces her pain sensors by 50% for 3 posts. 5 post cool down. (Level 0//0-99 posts) █Level One ▬ Increases her speed and strength by 100% and reduces her pain sensors by 100% 5 posts. 7 post cool down. (Level 1//100-199 posts) █Level Two ▬ Increases her speed and strength by 150% and reduces her pain sensors by 100% for 7 posts. 9 post cool down. (Level 2//200-299 posts) █Level Three ▬ Increases her speed and strength by 200% and reduces her pain sensors by 100% for 9 posts. 11 post cool down. (Level 3//300-399 posts) █*DRAWBACKS ▬ While her semblance is rather strong and useful for her specific fighting technique, it is very short lived in her lower levels, which doesn't give her much time to actually use it. If she enacts it before she can actually get close enough to deal a blow, it is just a waste of aura. It doesn't last long and once it wears off it leaves her extremely exhausted. If she's not careful she could be left unable to fight or move after her semblance has been used, if she doesn't kill herself in the process. She might even pass out. It is also very taxing on her body. She requires a large amount of time afterwards to replenish her aura and strength before she can use it again. Not to mention that combined with her tendency to charge in blindly without regard for her own life, having her pain numbed only amplifies that. It makes it difficult for her to realize just how much damage she is taking and virtually impossible to realize when she is at her limit and should draw back. While it is a useful semblance that could help her defeat foes, it could just as easily get her killed.

❖❖❖Assessment❖❖❖ Hello, my name is Youroka Kage and I will be judging your profile today.
❖Ok, so reading over your profile, I have just some basic issues with your semblence. Nowhere on the profile do you list how strong your character is, therefore I can't gauge if the increases are fair. ❖ Also, I understand that you say that the power is short lived, however, if each post is 6 seconds of time, then you have your semblance for 5 posts at level 0, and 20 posts are level 3. ❖

█NATURAL ABILITIES █Primary Talent ▬ Swordplay █Faunus Trait/Bonus Talent ▬ Zylah is a rather tiny and innocent looking person and she uses that to her advantage. Often times her opponents underestimate her, she let's them think that, plays along and takes them down when they are least expecting it. █Other Talents ▬ She is much stronger and vicious than what people first interpret allowing her to take her foes off-guard.
This group was a more extreme than others and lacked in morals. In the dead of night they snuck into their house and stole the young girl from her bed. They had hoped they would be able to hold her as a hostage and in doing so take advantage of her parents and get them to stop with all of their anti-faunus tactics. However, little did they know how little the girls parents actually cared about her. It wasn't even them that realized she was gone at first, but rather her nanny. Her parents were given the opportunity to receive their daughter home safely if they stopped their antics, but they refused. They then threatened their daughter's safety with ever really her parents her parents hosted.
So the girl remained with the Faunus, fed only enough to be kept alive, barely, and tested more like an animal than a human being. It was enough to help get her through.
There was also one other something that got her through this period of her life, or rather, a someone. There was a boy about her age, a child of the members of the group. He had discovered her locked up I'm her cell one day and had taken to visiting her. They talked for hours and grew rather close. It was the first time Zylah had actually felt like someone cared for her. It opened up a weak spot, made her vulnerable, or at least that's how she saw it now. Deeper feelings began to blossom in her for this boy and soon enough the confinement and the torture didn't really seem that bad. Not if she got to talk to him at the end of the day. It went on like this for quite some time. She confided in him things she'd never even spoken out loud. That all came to a traumatizing end when his parents discovered what was going on. As a why to punish both their son and the human girl they saw as trash, the forced him to commit the treacherous acts of torture they'd been doing themselves. That's when she lost the vision in her left eye. It didn't scar or leave an ugly mark. However, her bright blue iris turned a milky white and she has soon nothing but total darkness from that eye ever since. She laughs at herself for it now, but she had expected him to refuse, put up a fight. Soletting. Any resistance he did put up was unknown to her and matter little in her eyes.
Their hideout in the woods became like a haven to her and in exchange for food, shelter, and companionship, at least as clise as you could get with Zylah, she helped them with their cause. While she didn't necessarily hate the Faunus, she was still quite bitter after what had gone through. However, she had leaned that you couldn't trust anyone, human or Faunus. Still, she had no where else to go, so this is where she stayed and this is what she did. When she turned seventeen, the leaders of The Tribe decided it might be a good idea for her to enroll in Beacon so that they could have a man on the inside. She was accepted into Beacon under false paperwork. Too the knowledge of everyone else, she is just an orphan girl who attended a regular high school and somehow managed to pass all the entrance exams to the school anyway. Little do they know just how wrong they are.

If she enacts it before she can actually get close enough to deal a bit, it is just a waste of aura. It doesn't last long and once it wears off it leaves her extremely exhausted. If she's not careful she could be left unable to fight or move after her semblance has been used, if she doesn't kill herself in the process. It is also very taxing on her body.
