Location: Leaving Haunted House and leaving the area
Interacting With: One another

Nadia was impressed, this was far better than any haunted house her school or church had set up when she was younger. The details and props were pretty realistic to her! And she was on edge, though she did have her face buried into Accalia's side for most of their walking so far. She was just too scared to look! "This is fun but spooky all at the same time!" She said into her side as she peeked through a gap around her arm at some of the things in the house.

Accalia smiled and guided them along.

As the two of them walked along the interior of the building Nadia clung to Accalia when she felt scared or nervous of some of the things that were located within the winding building. Accalia couldn't help but smile warmly at the young girl because she remembered being much like that when she was her age. She was glad the two of them had met and bonded like they had, it was like having a younger sister. It was times like this she disliked being an only child but what can you do about that?

Nadia let out a small yelp as one of the props in the haunted house popped out towards them and disappeared back into the shadows with a wicked laugh. It even had Accalia hold a hand to her chest.

As they walked along she could hear commotions happening and at first she thought it was all in the building, part of the effects. However, it became apparent that there weren't just things inside of the house going wrong. The shouts and screams from outside were clear to Accalia and Nadia was unsure of what to do as she looked up towards the older adult.

Accalia was at a loss, she couldn't power up, not right now. She ushered the young one along. It seemed like every turn they took they had to turn around since it was a dead end. HOW BIG WAS THIS PLACE. Nadia couldn't help but grab onto her arm as if she might disappear should she let go. Finally there was a light and a clear sign that said exit but by the time they got out of the house everything seemed to have cleared up. Which was a huge relief to Accalia and even Nadia seemed to relax. "Come, lets get you home before your parents start to worry." She said with a light smile. "I'm sorry we weren't able to enjoy too much of the festival." She said to her putting a hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay. I still had fun." She said with a bright smile. While it had been pretty scary she just chalked up the sounds to all be part of the house itself and pretty much thought the entire event was a success. She had been scared and had a friend to hang out with the entire time. To her that was a win! Giving a skip she smiled and took Accalia's hand as the two of them walked off towards Nadia's home.

Myles laughed lightly, though it was shaky and a little uncertain. "I think I'm okay," he tried to reassure, reaching one hand up to gingerly touch at his neck. There was still a it of blood when he drew it away, and while he made a disgusted look at it, he just laughed it off awkwardly.

"I kind of just want to sit here for a minute. But I'm feeling better already, thank you! Both of you are okay, right?" he asked, using his other hand to rub at his face and try to bring a little more life back to himself.

He might have been a little battered, but even if he was a bit shaken he wasn't showing it. Instead, he had a sheepish smile planted on his face as he tried to focus his vision.

Evren Exit

By the time that Evren came too she realized she was being lifted onto a stretcher with a couple other people who had passed out during the attack. "Oh... am I going to the hospital now?" With a glance of what do you think from the paramedics Evren made a pouting face as she was rolled along into one of the ambulances.

"Boooo."

Caely reckoned that there was now a mental itch that has registered in her mind to locate and examine the bat bite she came away with in the incident, but for the time being, she resisted it.

She found Myles' smile somewhat contagious and her lips, too, were presently pulled into a small one despite what they all had gone through. "I think I'll be alright," she gave a nod as she continued to look between Camilla and Myles before remembering something her bag contained.

From the shoulder bag's zipper pocket by her hip, she took out 3 of 4 packets of wet wipes from a restaurant she visited with company a number of days before. There was a story of friendship behind how the packets ended up with her and perhaps if she wasn't as exhausted as she currently felt at the moment, she would have smiled wider at the memory rather than her features remaining unchanged as she procured the items.

"I have some wet wipes with me from a recent restaurant visit," Caely extended both her hands in offering Camilla and Myles each such a packet. "Perhaps they may be of help for somewhat of a possible prequel to first aid."

Tony was confused when he got back to the festival. He had been off chasing Dogby, after Nathan thought it would be a good idea to startle her with one of those damn popping firework things that he always seemed to have on him. Okay, maybe this was the first time something like this had ever happened, but it was definitely FITTING for Nathan to do something like it. The result of the bursting toy had been confetti flying everywhere, and one small legged dog darting off into the night.

Tony went to chase her, calling for her to come back, and it had taken some time to get her to calm down enough to come back to the festival with him. By the time he got back, Nathan had split. Probably did not want to get yelled at, as was likely to happen. Tony had just been hoping not to miss all the people there, and any book lovers that might have visited, but it seemed something... strange... happened while he was gone. And bad, apparently. He was confused, and concerned.

Wait, where did his booth go?

Just posting an out.

Colin Hargrove - Exiting with Van

One minute he was running with Van, bashing massively oversized monster bats - the next he felt her hand pulled from his; Colin whipped around with all the speed his day job gave him - one of the giant beasts had whacked his friend in the head (or near enough) and knocked her unconscious. Vanessa was crumpled in a pretty heap of black pleather and red curls, the bat that had attacked her menacing with maw snapping; it took no thought, Colin pulled a move right out of Captain America's book and used a rather acrobatic spin to kick the nasty bugger away from the Resting Widow, landing next to the curly haired young woman, ready for another attack.

But an attack never came, the monsters were flying...away? Weird, but fortuitous!

"Huh...will you look at that..." Honestly, Destiny City was so damn weird he really wasn't surprised by much of anything these days.Being skewered by a giant crystal dragon and then riding it like a kite until it burst into flames kind of...murdered that for him. With a bit of a shrug, Colin let his cosplay shield snap to the magnetized back holder and scooped up the still-unconscious Van. "I don't care how nice that raffle pot is, we're going home."

Carrying Van wasn't the hardest physical thing he'd ever had to do - that might have been carting a wounded Titan to freedom, actually - hell, it didn't even rank in his top ten; sure his friend weighed more than most of the ballerinas he ended up lifting over his head, but he wasn't lifting her over his head, just carrying her in his arms. On public transportation, since that was how they'd arrived. Which meant that Captain America was princess-carrying Black Widow on mass transit. Captain America was pressing his forehead to the Widow's forehead and laughing like an idiot because he was just happy they were okay. It meant surreptitious snapchats and instagram posts of the pair in costume.

None of which would bother either Vanessa or Colin; being the source of some mild internet infamy would probably delight Vanessa, and it was a bit 'old hat' for the social-media savvy principle dancer.

And later, back at his apartment after Vanessa revived, they would talk about how the festival might not have been the evening they planned on, but it was still pretty damn fun.

They were kind of weird, after all.

Kit Paine - seeing Evren off to the hospital and exiting
"...Evren? Evren!" Leave it to Evren to try helping a bat that was part of the horde attacking people. Unfortunately, this seemed like one of those situations where her kindness did not pay off. Kit beat back the bats he had been in combat against before hurrying to her side when he noticed her fall. She seemed to have become unconcious.

"Passing out from a bat bite?" he murmured, swatting the offending mammal away before checking Evren's bite. The bats finally began to retreat, it seemed - both the small and much larger monstrous ones. EMTs and news reporters finally began to arrive on the scene. Sighing, Kit picked the girl up in his arms and carried her to the nearest group where a stretcher was waiting to bring people to the hospital.

He didn't know how seriously hurt she was, but he certainly hoped the bats hadn't been carrying any diseases like rabies. He looked around as they tended to Evren, relieved to find that most of the other people didn't seem to need serious medical attention. Maybe that would mean Evren would eventually be fine, too.

Her voice drew his attention and he found she'd come to as they were loading her into the ambulence. "Hey, Ev," he said with a small smile at her pout. "How do you feel? The bats are gone, but they think it might be best to bring you to the hospital just to make sure everything's okay. I'm gonna call your sister and my business partner to let them know what's going on, but don't worry. I'll stay close."

He climbed into the ambulance with her after getting permission from the EMTs, getting out his phone to contact the people he'd told her he would. At least he could help walk her home if he needed to once they were done giving her a check-up.

Jack Burnett - helping get Michael some first-aid and talking to Candice
"Hey, no, I get it," Jack assured the burnet man, putting up his palms when the poor guy apologized. "That was wicked, what you did. Glad I had you around - all of you," he added, glancing at the trio before turning back to the other male. "But man...didn't I see you get bitten? You don't look so good."

He hesitated, watching the guy's shoulder's slump before making a decision and going over to put his arm about his shoulders so he could lean on him for support if he needed to. "Let's get you over to the EMTs. There's some right there and I think they've got first aid kits."

By then, since most of the action with the bats seemed to have dissipated, it wasn't too hard to move around without worrying about being attacked. They didn't have to go far, anyway, because one of the medical assistants ran right up to them and offered to help right then and there. Satisfied that the guy seemed to be getting some decent help, Jack glanced over at the blonde woman.

"I think she needs a bandage or something, too," he told the person administering first aid, nodding toward the cut under her left eye. "Oh, nevermind." But upon closer inspection, he realized she had already put something on it. "You're way ahead of me," he said, grinning as Candice offered her ointment. "Did you know this was going to happen, or do you always come prepared? I think I have a few cuts, too, but once I get those cleaned up so I'm not bleeding all over the place, I'd be happy to finish up what we started."

"Candice?" Jack said, using the name she'd told him when the bats had first started attacking. "If that leaves a scar, I wouldn't worry about it. Scars are badges of courage and I'd say you definitely showed a lot of that. Hahaha, the fact that you're still sticking around when so many people are already leaving proves that."

He paused, hearing his phone go off, and plucked it from his pocket to answer it. Evidently Kit was going to the hospital to see a friend there because she'd passed out from having gotten bitten. She had come to, but he still wanted to be there with her when they gave her a check-up to confirm that everything was okay.

Jack frowned because this meant Kit wouldn't be coming to help him sell stuff after all - heck, he'd be lucky if the guy even came back to help pack up - but he knew it couldn't be helped. At least he'd won the contest...sorta. Wasn't much of one since Kit hadn't had a chance to make a sale, but Jack was satisfied to have met the people he had nonetheless.

Eunkyung with Seung, who is unconscious.

As the bats left and a sort of peace seemed to settle over the area the medical help arrived, and other people. Among those to arrive, unsurprisingly, was the press. The press, even the police, weren't Eunkyung's concern. Her concern was her unconscious cousin who she was now kneeling over as she called for help. He had been bitten badly and drained of a lot of blood and she was worried, he looked paler than normal.

When help did arrive she relayed what she could and gave them any other information they might need. She knew her cousins blood type, of course she did, and she was going to follow him because she had been attacked as well - just not to the same severity as Seung.

While in the ambulance she let her aunt and uncle know, via text, and she also sent one to Terry from her cousins cell phone since she didn't have his phone number on her own phone.

Thalia really, really wanted to say that she'd put up a rave, noble fight against the bats, but that would have been very much a lie. She'd tried, certainly, had fought as best she could, but -- without being able to power up into Eleusis, because there were way, way too many people around for that to be even a little bit practical, she hadn't had anything in the way of luck at all. Her shopping bags had made for decent defense, but she still took a few bites, and she felt a little dizzy, but a quick check from a paramedic had her right back on her feet.

"Well!" She grinned over at the other girl, still with her, somehow. "That was an adventure!"

To say the very least. Still, Thalia practically radiated enthusiasm. She was fine, except for a few little scratches that would heal right up, no one really seemed that badly injured, clearly it was just a silly accident and a weird freak moment of nature.

Right, sure, that was definitely it, it was not at all in any way suspicious or strange or dangerous. Sure.

She was absolutely going to believe that until shown otherwise, honestly, because ti was the best possible explanation. Anything else was just Too Weird to Consider.

So she walked through the festival with the cute girl, whose name, she learned, was Dani - and who had just gotten back from a trip to, of all places, Italy, which sounded too amazing for words. Eventually they got to where the raffle was being drawn - and it was to Thalia's great surprise and delight that she actually won.

"I...wow!" She laughed, brightly, as she collected her prizes, all kinds of vouchers for all the vendors at the festival. "I kind of entered on a whim, but -- hey, this is awesome!" Maybe she could use a couple of these on gifts for family or...new friends? That sounded pretty great, if you asked her.

Overall? Not a completely terrible day, even counting the bat attack.

Saleh Fakhoury

Well, that was really something. Saleh found himself wishing that the Negaverse had at least sent out a memo regarding a deranged bat attack on the festival. Then again, maybe this wasn't a Negaverse matter, and the higher-ups had no idea that these crazed bats were going to show up. If these bats weren't youma though... what the heck were they?! Aliens? Hideous mutants? Maybe the war between Order and Chaos was causing mutations from all that magic, or something. Though he figured he was in no position to do so, he almost wanted to ask a higher-up to look into what had happened and see if the bats could be made to not attack Negaverse agents. Or at least just not get in the way. What if they showed up again? That'd be wildly inconvenient.

Though Saleh had gotten a bit banged up, he was still well enough to go home and tell everyone about what happened. He hadn't seen any of his school friends at the festival; maybe they'd decided to spend the day doing something else. Well, if they hadn't been eaten by bats, that was good too. With a sigh, Saleh collected himself and left the premises.

Saleh EXIT!

Myles hesitated for a moment, perhaps thinking to refuse out of politeness, but the thought quickly passed and he reached to accept her offering. "That sounds wonderful, thank you."

He opened the packet and carefully maneuvered it over his neck. It seemed he needed to build up the courage before he could touch it to the wounded area, and when he did he flinched. His eyes remained screwed shut and his lips were pursed together tightly. It wouldn't have seemed too far fetched an idea to think that he was secretly somewhat squeamish to the sight of blood--or maybe just the idea of being injured.

Either way, he deliberately wasn't looking at the wet wipe after he wiped.

"I'm not looking forward to checking in with first aid," he confessed after a moment. The thought of needles and paramedics and tests already had goosebumps freckling his skin; he squirmed at the thought of them almost as much as he did the thought of bats.

Aura was late as usual. Her parents had asked if she could help run the booth for the game shop, but it looked like the girl was lucky she was not on time. Apparently, there had been some sort of disturbance right before she arrived.

Oh, well. She would have loved to see some real wild animals even if it was dangerous. The teenager feared few things even if she really should have.

The stall was a bit of a wreck when she arrived, but her mother, Tara, and her father, Toulouse, had managed to find shelter in time. Perhaps it was a good thing that Imagi and Alphonse wouldn't be here tonight. Both didn't handle things like that very well.

Aura blinked as she looked around. Would anyone still visit after all that had already happened?

Arian Laith

Somehow that last push had been enough to drive the bats back...

And whilst Arian wasn't sure how they managed it, he also wasn't complaining.

He glanced towards Breanna, eyes looking concerned under his glasses as he asked quietly "Are you okay?"

For his part Arian had managed to pick up a few scratches and scrapes, but it wasn't - at least not to him - anything major...

After all he had had worse injuries than a few scratches and scrapes.

Arian walked over to where he had found the whack a mole mallet before carefully setting it down, noticing scattered food and goods from the stands scattered all around.

It was a mess and a part of him couldn't help but feel a bit bad for the stall holders, although he wasn't particularly up for lingering either...

And neither was the Mayor it seemed - although she did draw the raffle before her departure.

For his part Arian just wanted to go home, although he was okay with lingering for long enough for Breanna to get checked out by one of the EMTs if she needed it.

As he quietly asked her about whether she needed to get checked out, a part of Arian couldn't help but feel relieved that Liryn hadn't been with them - even though he knew that the small tabby mauvian would most likely be annoyed about missing out on the action when he recounted the tale back to him.

All of that was a thing for later however..

Later when he was home and away from a festival that no longer seemed so fun.

Marlin Joanson

Marlin managed to get in one final whack with his wreath but it seemed that finally, finally the bats were retreating.

Or at least the ones that were still alive were retreating - some were dead, their mangled bodies lying crumpled on the ground - but they were the minority.

Marlin stepped past one such dead bat as his green eyes glanced towards the two young men (
Jason and Tom), his gaze turning concerned as he looked over the younger of the two "Are you both okay?"

For his part Marlin had come out of it relatively unscathed - barring when the bats had caught him first time around...

But it could have been worse.

He had to keep telling himself that, not wanting to look at the mess of what had once been his stall - although he knew that at some point that he would have to see what could be salvaged out of the stock...

Although that could wait - because first he had to check on Elaine and also see how the two young men in front of him were.

And at some point he figured that he should probably get the bat bite from earlier checked out and call his Dad and give him a summary of what - although that would be a later thing.

Both of them would be later things.
