A sudden quake shook the ground once again. Hinting at the subterranean instability. A blast of hot wind could be felt coming from the direction they had come. Geothermal heat of some magnitude. The fog would be pushed towards the vault door. Almost like the cavern was breathing.
CRAACK! A large portion of the cliff would break off and crumble down below. It would explode into a fury of smaller rocks once hit made impact with the ground below the cliff. It was only 15 feet from. The ground would rumble again with a firm warning. This area needed to be vacated, and soon.
To those at the vault:
The ground was more stable here, or so it seemed. The area was littered with broken glass and sharp rocks though, and a hissing noise could be heard from inside the small security building to the side of the massive vault door. Was it gas? Electrical? Who knew. The building was empty of anything useful to those who would look. The vault itself was impenetrably thick and sturdy. It was magnificent in design as well. A grand mystery.
To those using the side exit cave:
Prince would be the first to leave. He would find himself in a small meadow. The cavern exit nothing more than a pile of boulders in the middle of nowhere. Many miles outside of the standard surveillance zone of the Vale Military. It would be a long walk back, but all they needed to do was go southward and they would surely make it back... Maybe.
The forest would fall to the west, they were on a large hill of sorts and could see for miles in that one direction. Prince would see something off in the distance, southwest of his current position. It looked like the tail end of a helicopter sticking out of the tree canopy. There was no smoke, but the metallic glinting was unmistakably man-made.
[CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING UP!! NOW ITS TIME TO INVESTIGATE & LEAVE ▬ You have permission to use a small cave that leads up and out that is to the side of the vault door, or to stay and investigate a little before leaving.]

Apex
"You won't know what fear really is"
--------- The Apex kicked one of the stone walls she was beside, evidently frustrated about something. Apex wasn't exactly the brightest of individuals and the 'relic' she thought she had found was just a dud object that had already been broken on the ground in a rage. Crossing her arms, the red haired devil looked around some more, getting more irritated as the tribe members were taking much longer than she wanted - more than one minute later to be exact. A weathered piece of paper was on a ledge however, it was a bit torn but she figured that it might come in handy along with the item it stated to interact with. Apex could hear that others were close by, however she couldn't seem any less interested, until one of the children approached her.
The red devil turned to face the young boy, her arms now relaxed at her sides. She was somehow glad the child knew who she was, she wasn't in the mood to cut a child down where he stood right now - although she looked at his stance, he wanted a fight. Apex looked extremely disinterested at the youngster and lifted her hand up, doing a 'shoo' motion with it. No words came from the woman's mouth, this child wasn't worth her time, for now. Apex would be intrigued as to his next move, however it wouldn't long until other members of the tribe arrived to help her ransack the place.
Still no answers. The hope of expecting one was starting to fall more and more by the moment. That was to be expected though. Following along the forest path, he could only go one way. Nature was going to have to be his guide for now. He was surprise that he didn't see anyone there. He would of thought this would be under surveillance but he wasn't exactly keen upon the area of control the military had. In fact, now that he thought about it. The military was usually thin around the area he lived. Practically non existent. After this he probably should go home for a moment. Some advice would be lovely. Especially after everything that has occurred on this mission.
Continuing, he would make it to the edge of some type of makeshift hill? A cliff? Usien was too tired to figure out the terminology. He just knew that it was an elevated position and it gave him a good view. Looking, he would see a glint. Southwest of his position would become his concentration as the glint became more and more apparent to his eyes. It wasn't something natural. It was something man made. If he could get there he could get help right? It beat staying there and dying. But what would be the best approach? He was a spider faunus. So, why not do spider things? But that was also when it hit him. He still had his survival kit. He didn't use it to climb up the cavern. But how long was the rope? He would save the rope for now. He may need it for later.
Using his spider limbs, he would start to descend don when he noticed he was definitely on a hill. He could of just walked down. He was just being extra at this point. Shifting his body onto his bottom, he would strip out of his shirt and sit on it making it into like a makeshift sled. Afterwards, he would start to slide down thanks to gravity taking a hold and a little bit of extra mass added to him thanks to his semblance. Letting gravity take him as far as it would go, he would then pop up to his feet and sprint towards the tree canopy. The same location he had saw at the top of the hill. Hopefully he run into something or someone that can help!

— Honestly, everything in his body was screaming to just up and kill her right then and there. The fact that she personally killed Kamui right in front of Sky, the fact that others he knew had their lives destroyed specifically by her actions, and the fact that so much destruction happened all over Remnant because of the Tribe being a part of them. And even now currently, with this hunt, he could only imagine that whatever she's planning, has something to do with whatever is behind those locked doors. And now she's shooing him off like he's some kind of inconvenience? Dammit, I'll kill you--Ackkk!! He would lift his sword, but would cramp at the pains that racked his body from the battles with the Grimm hordes. He dropped his sword after reeling in from pain. There's definitely blood on his arm, making it harder to lift things. His Aura probably hasn't fully recovered yet. What's behind that vault door? He asked her. —
☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁ Skylar was at a total loss in the current situation. She'd just barely managed to finish helping Dee when a giant Beowulf clawed up but, the cliff gave out, sending it back down and the white-haired girl fell off. She then shot up being carried by someone and Auburn was telling them to not pursue. Add to that, the kid she hadn't seen in the group at the start of the mission was wandering off. Nox asked after Reikka and Skylar shook her head. "We ain't got time fer all this guys. Half of y'all ain't really able ta fight an' some ain't walkin. We need ta prioritize gettin out. Auburn right? I'm gonna need ta borrow your sword. It's the only thing we got big enough ta use as a sled fer Dee."
She began tearing apart her pack to use the cloth as padding to protect the rope. When she was done, she struggled unholstering the massive sword and set it down on top of some sections of rope with padding set along the edges. "I can't lift him, yer sword were about the max I can lift. Try moving him and I'll guide him okay? " She was a little put off when Auburn used her foot to move him. Ultimately, she had to sit and do it, but, together, they got him on the sword. Skylar went about securing him to it with the ropes. It really was a massive blade. But, it's thickness, she hoped, would allow it to handle being dragged over rock. Once he was secure, Skylar used a noose knot to secure the rope to the hilt. She attached another in the same way and tied the opposing ends around Auburn's waist. "Sorry, yer the only one who can handle the weight alone. In our state, we can't really afford ta tie multiple people up with one thing." A few moments later, Auburn began moving and she followed suit. ☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█Team:SLAR█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁

Auburn was about to answer Nox when the newest member to join them cut her off."She's right. Probably going to have to tell the military about this anyway, so, I can explain later. And...I'd really rather not talk about my knowledge more than needed. Sore subject..." Auburn turned to look as Sky mentioned needing her sword. She was about to question why Skylar needed Judgement, there was no way in hell she'd even be able to swing it, but, the idea proposed seemed promising enough. And the rope wouldn't need to bite into her mangled shoulder. So, she simply nodded and knelt down so Skylar could get Judgement. She watched curiously as Skylar set about prepping things and then Skylar asked for help lifting Dee. At first, Auburn tried to leverage him with her leg, with skylar tilting him so she could get it under, but, it wouldn't be viable without her semblance and she didn't need to enter a berserker rage right now. So, she sat down and slid another foot under and managed to lift him with Sky guiding everything. Once he was over Judgement, she set him down and stood up, letting Skylar finis things off.
"I don't really care. If it gets us moving, that's all that matters. All right everyone, asses in gear. We need to get the ******** out of here now."Without another word, she started dragging Dee along, following the general direction the kid had run off in. It didn't take long for her to see him and she saw the woman there as well just as the kid threatened to kill her before dropping his weapon and asking about a vault."If you're lucky, it has your senses. Now, get your head out of your a** and think for a half-second and you'll know just how idiotic you're being kid. You aren't killing her. None of us are. And we never were. I'd only fight her if I had no choice and you couldn't handle me even as ******** up as I am now. So set your personal issues aside before you get the rest of us killed in your little suicide attempt."She turned to look at the woman who had dropped in without a care into a horde of Grimm."We're no threat to you. We're almost dead as is and we aren't here to grab anything, simply to look around. If there's a way out back there, we would like to use it. And we'll go as long as we can before calling for people to collect us so, we won't drag anyone to the entrance. Unlike this idiot, I have killed before and I know when I'm outclassed. Trying to backstab you would only end up with us dead and, frankly, I only just escaped one hell so, I'd rather keep living as long as I can. May we pass through without harm?"As she said this, she tried to see past the door, hoping she could make out if there was an exit.

Weapon(s): Judgement is a massive sword that is 77" long, 14" wide and weighs 54 lbs, but, has no unique properties other than that. Auburn is able to wield this beast of a blade, even one-handed, because of her Semblance.
However, her boots and gauntlets are equipped with mini cannon-like guns that fire off dust rounds. (See Mission for image of gauntlets and boots)
Dee's eyes were lazily following them around as they went about tying him up to the sword, His ears were still ringing but he could make out more or less what everyone in his direct line of sight was saying before he ultimately lost continues again. Pain still raked over his body it hurt to move, Dee started to guess what was broken when he was tossed, a few ribs maybe? he didn't know and he really didn't have the time to check into it, he was more worried about keeping his arm from falling off again. Looking over to his arm it seems the skin was slowly reconnecting the two separate parts back together but he could still feel the muscle not there yet, and his nerves were just not starting to move again. not to mention It was not very comfortable being string upon the broad side of a sword but he could not do much about it at the moment. Eyes slowly drifting over to his arms making sure both of them were still there before trying anything else. Letting out a Deeps sigh trying to struggle his arms out of the rope and into his pocket hoping his note pad and pin were there, to at least tell them he is well enough to walk at this point. Pulling the notepad free but drops it soon after it gets into his palm. cursing at himself his eyes look around again to see if he could get a little more help with his current situation. this was a s**t day. But after the short 'naps' enough energy returned and he hoped that he could walk out. Dee didn't really want to risk getting knocked out by the blunt blade over rocky terrain.

Fran would look around the dark cave, looking for ways to exit the area and get better medical treatments, not only for her but for everyone in the group as well. Having no luck, she would return back the the group. Waving as she comes back, she would notice that they are all talking about someone's family stuff, but as Fran wasn't there for the details, in addition to having no interest, she wouldn't join on the conversation but just head over to where Dee was, who was then helped by the other fellow who came back from the split. Stating the want to leave the area, Fran would agree and head towards Yui, to escort her and make some small talk. "How are you feeling?" she'd ask, looking at her hand. Hopefully whatever treatment the others did would soothe whatever she's feeling. As the others went ahead, with Dee being dragged along and the others following Auburn, Fran would be at the back, still on the defensive, just in case. She'd keep eyes on everyone, but especially Yui. However, it wouldn't be too long till that reach a huge contraption and a lady, with our energetic friend smack talk her. She looks someone who'd easily defeat us and some, especially with our conditions, so Auburn would take the diplomatic route.
XXXWith the rundown that her and Nox had gone over, it seemed that even when they escaped the cavern that Yui still would be quite busy. Mentions of visiting Dr. Field in the infirmary to get proper diagnosis and treatment of both her hand and arm. .. It was almost unsettling, having another medical professional look at her aside from her father. If it was her father, she was certain that any severe damage could be undone. But... If that was the case, and no marks were left, then what was the point of putting so much weight into the situation? .. That'd also risk running into her mother, and getting him in trouble again. ... No, Dr. Field's was the only option currently, as reluctant as she may have been. Everything else had been a much deeper rabbit hole than Yui expected but raised several curiosities as a result. Nox raised several points, including the nature of recharged dust and how it would likely be affected, along with the changes to its output. This seemed different, though. It didn't seem as if it was recharged but recreated after superconductors. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility that the nature of fire itself had changed, knowing that if it was indeed her own flames, they themselves were no longer normal. Yui hadn't expected her to be so knowledgable in the realm of dust, but it was an insight she appreciated greatly. If it wasn't for Nox, not only would Yui be left with more questions than answers, but she would've been left with nothing more than charred remains of what was once her arm. ".. Perhaps with the nature of your semblance and the input of Professor Schuer, we could pinpoint the exact cause and effect of how this came to be." With Kail's knowledge on aura, semblance, and dust to a degree, and Nox's capabilities and insight, perhaps the three of them could crack the mystery and nature of what Yui had done. ... That could lead to so much more, such as an understanding to what her grandfather was capable of if she had truly inherited such an ability. ... There was one other person that she could ask for insight, knowing that her knowledge on the topic of dust and family lore was invaluable, but... It always came at a cost, and Yui wasn't ready to succumb to her mother's will. She was already bound to be punished after her recklessly disobeying military orders. For now, though, the page on this subject was turned to a close. With the events that happened with Reikka and Yui unable to do anything to stop it. She'd find herself staring at the vibrant blue dust crystal, thinking back at Nox's own advice... For the time being, she should refrain from using it until it had properly been assessed. .. In the heat of the moment, she almost did something just ad reckless. She wouldn't let it happen again. Carefully with her left hand, she'd tuck the blue crystal away. Out of sight, out of mind. .. Soon, they'd be able to conduct a proper investigation.
[Auburn] They had very quickly run out of options. The entirety of their team was pretty well spent. The few of them that could even operate at full capacity, or anywhere near that, still wasn't necessarily in a position to go charging off into the darkness. After all, leaving the majority of them alone could've been a death sentence, while charging forward after an unknown enemy was just as much so. Not to mention one of them had already wandered off out of sight, adding to an evergrowing list of problems. Whoever had taken the initiative to act in the most desperate of moments had to have been watching closely, preying right over their very shoulders. There was no telling what they were capable of, or who else they may have had at their disposal. .. At least, that was Yui's initial thought before the red-haired faunus spoke up with a little more than common knowledge. Kidnapping. Cooperation. Rurle. Crimson Fang. Faunus 'Activist'. She had heard of them before, albeit she wasn't brimming with facts like Auburn had been. She only knew in relation to her mother and her involvement in the military, but little more than that and bits of news that have turned up. In just a matter of moments, the weight of the situation went from just survival at all costs to the meddlesome conflict with a terrorist group and kidnapping. Cogs quickly clicked together further in Auburn's explanation of any prior connections she had with the group, which had apparently been the role of a prisoner... It was hard to take every bit of information with a grain of salt and raised far more questions than answers. Why were they here? Why kidnap Reikka? .. How much more did Auburn know about all this mess, and what could they do now? .. Of course, possibly the most pressing question that Nox took the liberty of asking. ... What if there was a price too high for Reikka, what if whatever cooperation they received wasn't enough? Then what? Both Yui and Auburn seemed to have a response for Nox, though from very different perspectives. It hadn't mattered, though, and Skylar was the first to intercept the conversation, perhaps attentive to the brewing tensions on the matter at hand. "As much as it doesn't sit right, Skylar has a point. The sooner we get out of this cavern, the better we can help Reikka." Yui wasn't ready to shake matters, but matters were beginning to crumble beneath them with every passing moment. Since the hellfire beowolf had tried scaling the cliff a second time, it left extensive and ever-growing damage. As seconds ticked by, cracks were spreading as pebbles clattered down the cliffside. Just as well, each passing second was another step Rurle had taken Reikka away. Skylar had the right idea, getting Dee to a somewhat manageable position so that they could hurry him out of here. .. Yui would have done what she could to help, but both her and Nox knew that her right arm was useless as it stood currently. In Skylar's preparation, she needed Auburn's help. Before she got a step too far, however, Yui wanted to touch on the smallest detail before this exchange was over. "Auburn." She spoke softly, not necessarily trying to draw the attention of others, but a certain sternness in her tone was meant to ensure she made her point. "Keep in mind that any knowledge you have about the Crimson Fang is vital, personal or not. For Reikka's sake." Perhaps it was the disposition Auburn had taken when dismissing any approach to go after Reikka, but then just as quickly tucked herself away from explaining any further about a 'sore topic' when the opportunity presented itself. It may have been a bit insensitive on Yui's part, but the circumstances called for it. If they weren't going after Reikka here and now, they'd need any bit of information they could to understand the enemy. What to prepare for, what to look for. If Auburn was a prisoner, her experiences may reflect the same or worse on Reikka who wasn't a faunus. .. It was an unsettling thought, and Yui couldn't let that go.
[Herself] It took Yui a moment herself to prepare to follow suit with the preparations. Even as the cliff threatened to crumble beneath her feet, she couldn't help but look over her scorched shoulder through battle-worn feathers towards the darkness that Reikka and Rurle had vanished into. It was clear in her pale blue hues that she was disheartened by it all, and disappointed in her own capability. "If I hadn't put everything into that attack, I could've gone after them... If I could've put more into it, then maybe the beowolf wouldn't have made it back.." She whispered to herself, hushed words of regret and inferiority in her own actions. If she had been more tactical with it or used more dust, perhaps either set of circumstances would've changed things with Reikka. But... There was no changing the set of events leading up to this moment. Instead, she had to turn her head forward. They had to do what they could to get out of here, and in doing so, to save Reikka. "We're coming for you. Just hold on." The resignation was painful. She had come to see if they were still alive, to save any and all survivors. She was prepared to find nothing, yet, it hurt more knowing she found them all only to watch one of them slip from their grasp. Nothing could've truly prepared her for either outcome, even if this was the better of two evils. Taking a deep breath, she'd carefully pull her scorched arm to cross over her chest, bracing it with her left against her chest. Another crack had spread, this one nearing the ground she stood as a quake threatened to rock them off the cliffside. With it, too, came a rush of hot wind that still felt cool against the fresh burns on her right side. That meant it was time to go, they couldn't waste a second longer in the darkness.
[Nox and Fran] Skylar and Auburn moved with her declaration, tugging the unconscious Dee along with them. Others, however, weren't so quick to walk away. Nox, who had also questioned Auburn's information in all of this. She wondered if the woman was just as conflicted in matters as she was, having to leave Reikka behind in order to have a chance to save her. Stepping closer to Nox, ready to move past her, she did something that it seemed not many others were capable of. Walking and talking, though hers had more of a limp or stagger to it. Just in time, as well, a familiar pinkette had approached their little party. "We need to get off this cliff as soon as possible... If not for the crumbling edge, then the noise. There are thousands of ravagers in the caves beneath us, and it's only a matter of time before they find a way to us. We'll need to be ready if they do." There really wasn't much else that Yui could advise during these times. Over half of them couldn't actually fight. Yui was running on fumes but still had her tinderbox; if only to start a fire or open a small passage like before. Honestly, in terms of defense, it seemed like Fran and Nox were their last line of defense. But even then, how much more could either of them endure? In stepping past Nox, Yui's gaze would follow Fran's own to her hand, scorched and burned beyond belief. Honestly, it was amazing that it hadn't crumbled to ash by now. ".. If it were my left, I could say I was all right now. But not even comedic timing will grace me." She muttered, trying to force the faintest curl of her lips. But, she couldn't, just as she couldn't curl her own blackened fingertips. A sigh soon followed, her pale gaze wincing as she pulled the buttons of her tattered blue jacket loose, carefully tucking her hand beneath the ashen fabric. She was still hung up on what happened, disheartened at their inability to pursue Reikka. It... left her feeling off, empty, as if she couldn't in good consciousness appreciate what they still had. "I'm.. Uncertain. I think I preferred the pain of every vein in my body burning than this... Uncertainty. At least then, I know the cause and how to fix it." It was rather pessimistic, but, she was exhausted both mentally and physically. Escaping death more than once in the same day, and the emotional rollercoaster with it really took its toll. But, it wasn't about her, though she certainly appreciated Fran keeping tabs on her wellbeing. Blue hues focused on the pinkette once again, looking her up and down. She was certainly worse for wear, and Yui had remembered that she too had gone through her own series of traumas in this godforsaken cave. ".. What of yourself? How are you managing? I heard... Well, you had an even closer call than I did." Man-handled by deathstalkers, mauled by ravagers, nearly crushed by beowolves, then set herself on fire. She had so many close calls, but none of them compared to being in the belly of the beast itself. To get eaten whole, being left uncertain if you'll see anything more than darkness again... That would have been a most terrible fate. Yui waited for a moment for her response, certain to take steps forward as they conversed, even if slow. There was so much on her mind, "I was so relieved to see you were all here... were... That you were okay ... As okay as one can be, given the circumstances." There she went, delicately dancing between her words, never to leave a single detail of clarity out of place. Yet each time, she found herself hung up on select words. It stung, but, duality in optimism and pessimism shined through. Faintly, a somber smile would curl from her lips. "I'm happy that you're alive." It lasted only a moment, but it was genuine. Not just Fran, but that they were all alive and here. .. Were, being the case. Just as quickly, that faint smile had vanished, knowing that same notion couldn't be said about everyone present. Alive, most likely, but present, far from it. The exchange was endearing all the same and could have gone on, but, they had far more time to talk once they made it outside.
[Proceeding] With Fran and presumably Nox, they'd make their way forward and into the now obscured fog, this was the first time Yui really got a grasp visually on where they were. ... Or specifically, what towered over them in some grand feat of infrastructure. It was a gargantuan vault of improbable proportions that was hidden away from the world. It appeared aged, yet still stood strong against the test of time. Unmoved, unwavering. Not even the quakes threatened the sanctity of this structure. This... This must've been what they were sent here to find. How had they been so close this entire time, yet now they were in no position to complete the investigation. What could've been hidden behind such a vault, though? What was so important to keep in there, or keep others out? ... Did the military really have no idea that this was beneath the surface of Vale? How could such a structure be hidden away? Too many questions, not enough answers. That's what it had been the entire time during this mission, and continues to be.
[Dee] Yui could only marvel at the grand and odd structure for a few moments before her pale blue hues were drawn elsewhere. Auburn and Skylar had made their way towards the much smaller, worn structure to the side of the massive vault, surrounded by broken glass and obscure sharp rocks. If Yui's boots weren't thick, she may have worried about the bottoms of her feet. On the ground as well, she noticed a small notepad that looked oddly familiar. Worn paper with countless scribbles of communicated words from a companion who elsewise had trouble communicating, Dee. Did it fall out of his pocket as they loaded him up? Snatching up the notepad and pen from the rocky surface, Yui would glance back at Fran. She was going ahead, even if for just a moment, but felt conflicted spreading them too thin. .. Still, there was little choice. Perhaps the two behind her could hasten her steps, just as she intended to. Yui would hasten her brisk pace further to catch up to them. Nearing a few feet from them, she'd notice a distinct squirm from the previously unconscious Dee. His eyes were wide open, looking around at the others who didn't notice. But she did, and she'd come to his aid. "Hold on, Dee's awake." She spoke out, but it didn't stop Auburn until she was good and ready at the nearby security shack. From this structure was emitting an odd sound, a hiss, but it was nothing compared to the volume of Auburn's voice as she started tearing into one of their missing teammates, Sky. Yui had initially tuned out the exchange, focused on Dee; certain that it was once again just Auburn's aggressive nature. "Dee, how are you feeling? Your arm..." From what Yui had gathered prior, his arm had been completely severed and he was barely holding on. Now though, albeit somewhat distorted, the arm looked more than just hastily patched together. It was healing, far better than she expected average aura to manage. It was remarkable, honestly. In no time, it would be better than her own. "I'm relieved that you're still with us.. We're looking for a way out, then everyone can get help. It isn't exactly a stretcher, but, they did the best they could. .. Unless you're feeling spry again?" There was something about the look in his eyes, the way his legs moved against the sword. He seemed restless, but whether it was struggling to keep up with what's happening or him wanting to move, she couldn't quite tell. Apparently Nox had made a remarkable recovery after getting knocked out, so... It wasn't so far fetched that Dee could too, despite the circumstance of his arm. If Dee could write, or even give a nod of indication, she'd take a moment to use her one good arm to loosen his binds. Or try her best too. While she couldn't completely untie a taut rope on her own, she could at least loosen it enough for him to get the rest of the way out. If not him, then Fran could intervene and help, as Yui beckoned at her with her pale blue gaze once again. After that, though, Yui began to catch the weight of the conversation Auburn was having with Sky.
[Listening] Yui could only catch bits of their exchange, but it was clear they were talking about someone else... To someone else. Someone that Yui wasn't aware of. Blue hues widening in curiosity, a sense of unease began to creep up her spine and cause her feathers to fluff up on her wings. She remembered distinctly how the commander mentioned the presence of some sort of criminals within the cavern that set the traps they had encountered. Initially, Yui thought that those criminals were likely that of the crimson fang, who they had just encountered. But now, with the manner that Auburn was talking to whoever this was, it was different. It didn't sound as if she was associated with them in the slightest. In fact, Auburn talked a very big game in the presence of Rurle, but whoever this was, they got some... inkling of respect, as abrasive as it was, from Auburn even. Carefully, Yui got up to her feet to catch a glimpse of whoever this person was. A woman was taller than herself with long, deep red hair. What she could see of skin had a number of tattoos, reflecting well with her tribal attire to make her look all the more feral. With piercing red eyes, this woman radiated intimidation, something that Yui could see clearly but would not succumb to. .. Not yet, after everything she had endured to get to this point.
[Sky] Tensions were high, though this time it was from Sky rather than Auburn who had a knack for it. Auburn was taking up some manner of diplomacy, even if it was in her own abrasive manner. Whoever this red-haired woman was, it had left an impression on both of them. Auburn did well enough to explain their situation, perhaps too well. Normally in the face of potential villainy that caused all this madness, it wasn't the best idea to throw yourself on a platter as a helpless kitten. But... What else could they do? It wasn't like they could try to intimidate her, not knowing who or what she was, not in their condition. It was odd, but she'd leave that manner of diplomacy to Auburn who had at least a bit more grasp on the situation than she did. Instead, she'd bring her attention to Sky. He was tense, heated in the moment while the injury of his arm left him vulnerable. To be so consumed by emotion, by anger, to want or have to kill someone. It wasn't something that Yui herself could quite comprehend, but she wanted to try. Be it here, or when they made it out of here. Cautiously, she stepped forward behind Sky, moving to place her left hand on his shoulder. It was blackened with ash, but the flesh was still tender from overexposure to heat. She tugged for his attention. "Sky.. Was it? Auburn... She has a point. This isn't the place for this, not here.. Not now. Not as we are." With her words, particularly the last sentence, her eyes would dart to the injury on his arm. Not only his, but subconsciously shift her own scorched right arm. Every cell still burned when disturbed, even if not currently set ablaze. Yui didn't want to dismiss him, or whatever it was that he was experiencing. She could tell be his composure, his expression, this wasn't aggression for the sake of it. It stemmed from somewhere deeper, and whether or not it's valid, Yui knew they had to stop. "I don't want to risk losing anyone else today, not after I thought I lost all of you already. So, please.. Step back with me." Perhaps the only thing that made sense to do with him in this situation was to try and distance him from the drama, whatever the cause of his tense. If he complied, she'd step back, as if coaxing him to follow her away from the shack. .. Though, once she was done talking, she kept her eyes fixated on the woman before them. She was uncertain about her compliance or willingness to aid them in the slightest and kept her focus on anything she might do. After all... She couldn't account for any rash actions on Sky's part, or broad statements said by the other two, nor actions. While Auburn played diplomacy, Yui tried her best for peacekeeping. .. After all, if they threw hands, Yui would have no choice but to join. If she did, she was certain her arm wouldn't make it to the surface. If her at all.

___ Nox bobbed her head a couple times in response to Yui. "Should be highly probable that we could." She commented in addition to the nodding movements.
___ As for the incident with Reikka Nox never got an answer to her inquiry even though it seemed that Yui was just as keen to hear the answer. This was because Skylar had interrupted to tell the three of them that now wasn't the time to talk about. The other two both agreed with her verbally. Which meant all Nox could do is sigh softly and glance off into the dark. She looked around using her thermal view but there wasn't any visible trace of the duo left. They had moved off too far or something had obstructed them from view entirely. She shifted her gaze down at the edge of the race face as it shuddered once more before moving back. She knew they were right. She couldn't argue that, but Reikka was a friend and she just didn't like the idea of abandoning her. It was something that would have to be revisited at the first chance. Nox glanced over at Yui as she spoke to Auburn before moving on. From the sound of it Yui was also thinking along the same lines as her as far as making plans to get Reikka back were set into motion and therefor ready to be used if they needed to rescue her.
___ Nox blinked and turned her head to look at Yui when the girl stepped up closer to her. Nox hadn't even realized she had stopped moving and was staring at the cliff once more. She started the walk again, following a little behind but for the most part along side of Yui. She frown as the winged girl mentioned that the lower areas of the cave were full of ravagers. "Hopefully that doesn't jinx it, Yui. It is a shame things played out as they did. The group in the shape it is and it seems we have little to show for it. Leaving the cliff and not even really finding out who it was that attacked us in the first place. Someone used dust to cause the explosion that collapsed the cave when we were first split up... I know it wasn't natural, I could see the red dust in the air, and that laugh... Too late now." Nox finally said in a dejected tone of dismissal. Her attention then shifting to focus on Fran as the pink hair girl joined them. Nox listened without speaking as the other talked about Yui's condition. A faint smile crossing her lips as Yui's attempt to be funny in protest of her inability to make a pun.
___ Yui returned the question back to Fran by asking if the pinkette was okay after the ordeal she endured. It seems that Fran managed to get red riding hood-ed by one of the beowolfs. "That actually happened? That must of sucked. Had that happen to one of my teammate once. I don't think I ever pressed an attack as aggressively in my life as I did when I killed that King Taijitu to get her out of there." Nox injected to try to help smooth over Yui's floundering there at the end. After which she turned her head to fix her red eyes onto Fran. "By the way, since there is a moment and your here, I should thank you Francheska. Auburn told me that after I fainted again from that head blow that it was you not her that took care of keeping me safe. So thanks."
___ The group kept walking until they passed out of the fog and a massive vault like door loomed out of the dark before them. Nox openly gaped at it as she craned her neck to look up at it. Not even noticing that there were others there at first. She noticed the woman and Sky around the time Yui moved ahead to check on Dee. Her attention being drawn to them only because of Auburn speaking to the woman before the vault door. The fact she was being diplomatic being the main attention drawing facet. Nox watched for a while before looking around. The vault door and the small building off to the side that seemed like a control room were obvious features of the area that jumped out to her. But she wanted to look around and see if there was anything else. Beyond that she also wanted to be sure there were no other people around besides their group and that dangerous looking woman Auburn was talking to. To be sure of that Nox used her pit organs to take a thermal look around in the dark surrounding their group.
Apex ▬ Apex takes a look at the students. Thinking about how easily she could vanquish them all, but with a smirk, decides to let them fight another day. She has more important business to attend to at the moment. The Tribe members, including Apex all vacate the premise through an unknown corridor. Sealing it behind them.
Auburn ▬ On Auburn's way out she will notice a small shiny object on the ground. It is an Atlassian Military Badge of a Sergeant First Class. It was battered and dusty, but still recognizable. A piece of torn fabric was attached. Stale, dried blood on the edges.
Yui ▬ Would notice that the edges of the vault seemed to be curved. They were not melded into the wall as one would expect with a permanent structure, but rather it appeared as if forced into position by something as large as the vault door itself was. This offered little in the ways of answers, but was just one clue to its nature. Yui would also notice that several parts of the vault door seemed to be hard light projection vents. Some of them sparking and flickering in the dim light.
Nox ▬ Upon exiting, Nox would get a closer look at the vault before leaving. She would notice that the vault door seemed to have mechanical components that appeared to go no where, but then it clicked. The door could shift its shape into a different structure.
Usien ▬ Being ahead of the group, Usien would feel the uneasy tension in the forest ahead. Grimm had been there somewhat recently, but none that he could see. That was until he got closer. He would be able to see the wreck he had spotted from before. Blood trails everywhere. The airship was half on the ground, and half lodged in the trees. Blood splattered all over the pilot window, but most of the side windows were clawed open by grimm. The pilot's arm hangs out the side window holding onto an electronic device that appears to be some sort of military recording device.
The place reeks of death, and Usien would notice that the forest was unusually quiet. A common sign that grimm were lurking nearby.
Everyone Exiting The Alpha Cavern ▬ The side cavern is a long cave that seems to careen off to the right at a gentle incline, you will find yourself a small cave that is in the middle of an untouched meadow. The sun made the cardinal directions easy enough to calculate, but the location was an unknown distance from the starting point. You do not see Usien anywhere nearby.
It is likely a several mile hike back, and it will be dark within an hour. Fortunately, an airship flies over and spots your group. They do another fly over before calling in more airships. Three in total land on the other side of the meadow and medics rush out to aid the students.

Dee begins to start to pill himself off of the sword he was being dragged along with, Hatting the feeling of himself becoming dead weight. with a painful groan from his throat, he pulls himself to his feet, nearly stumbling over himself as he does. Blood trickling down the edge of his mouth pooling in his mask keeping it hidden from anyone looking at him. Dee has the strange feeling that something inside of him was probably stapping at something important. His body was doing its best to heal him but he wouldn't last long staying around in the cave crawling with Grimm. his left arm wrapped around his waist as his healing arm hangs off of him, making the skin rip before trying to put itself back together again, slowing down the process slightly. his posture hunched slightly to bring the giant down to eye level with most. Noticeable red spots appear in Dee's left eye slowly growing and shrinking again. a chill run down his spine. taking a moment to look at bluebird a little light in his eye comes back before dimming again from another rush of pain his mask almost completely filled with blood now. though the pain he steps forward to what he hopes is an exit. Walking past those in front of him not paying them any mind nor looking away from the path ahead.

Usien would continue on his journey. Nothing was going to stop him at this point. He felt that determined, to say the least. Making it to the ship, he would stop when he got a good up-close look. It was a blood bath! It didn't take long for Usien to understand what happened and for him to have fear creep into his heart again. The grim got to the ship and there was nothing that could be done. He didn't question how it was crashed in the first place. Did the grim cause it or something else? It didn't matter now. What mattered was getting ahead. Looking at the pilot who was dead, he would see the recording device that was in his hands and would take it. sorry.... he would think internally as he robbed the deadman of his device. The least he could do is bring it to someone that may help. Maybe the information was on it? Maybe it was just a last will. Either way, Usien knew he couldn't just stay there. Heading off, he would continue his sprint the best he could. It was time to push on. He had no backup
As he sprinted, the noises started to stir from the uneasy quietness. He figured grim would be around but he didn't think he would be such a target. Was it the fear that came from seeing the destroyed aircraft? Did it attract them? Looking around, he just needed a clear path and he decided that he was not going to slow down for anything. No matter what! Loading his gun, he would notice he was running low on ammo. 6 shots he stated mentally as he raced on.
In the lethal quietness of his surroundings, some growling noises would grow louder. The sound of 6 shots would ring throughout the land before the faunus would pass out. At the mercy of the grim, it seemed that he was doomed. When Usien woke up, he wasn't in the afterlife but instead was at the military base receiving medical treatment. The recording device still by his side. His wounds being bandaged up just as a place holder until his aura could do the rest. To his side, there was a military official that looked cold but intrigued to hear what he had to say. He would tell her everything that occurred.
"We were in the caves and somehow got split from the other team. Tensions were high. Everyone was on edge and didn't help that Auburn was practically stating that if you are useless and deadweight she would take care of you herself. Already, I felt my life was threatened because I had passed out earlier from the journey. This came to fruition when she tried to attack me and kept threatening me. In response, I defended myself. Either way, with the group separated, we carried on to try find an exit but was attacked by grim. I left the group to get ahead to the top thanks to my spider limbs. However, they were failing to climb up to safety. I don't think the others survived. I ran into a vault on my way out along with some woman. She seemed dangerous and a killer but she was not intrigued by hurting me but instead with getting this vault door open. It was huge and seemed very thick. I don't know if she ever got it open or not.. As for the last part, when I got out and was in the landmass, I ran and came upon a crashed ship. It looks like grim attacked and I ended up finding the device. Was in the pilot's dead hands..." He would then sigh. After the report, he was free. Ironically. He was released. For now.

Auburn was relieved that the woman seemed to have no interest in them and began walking through. Before leaving, she noticed an item on the ground. It looked military, or, at the very least, reminded her of the badges the personnel up top had, but, it was a different style. Even with her arms as mangled as they were, that small object wouldn't really cause an issue, so, she reached out and picked it up when the woman was facing away and lead the group out. She ignored the other members of that woman's group as they ascended and made their way out. Fer several minutes, she continued to walk until the sound of airships drew her attention. When they landed, medics rushed out and tried to get her to lean on someone, though, she simply walked past them and sat in the airship. Dee was also rushed to by the medics, though, their winged allies who had come to assist them were being detained. Normally, she'd demand an explanation and impose herself into the situation. Those two had willingly come to their aid, so, it felt wrong to not speak up for them. But, she was tired, sore, and just barely holding herself together mentally right now. So, she simply kept quiet.
Once everyone got loaded up, the pilots took off and flew them back to base camp. As they were ushered towards the medical tent, she caught the the tail end of what was being said before being ushered in."Oh, we survived alright. Including the the team mate of yours you bailed on when she was swallowed whole. And despite the multiple times you opened fire on me without me even raising a finger at you as you claim. Even risking hitting two people who were unconscious from the explosion."She walked right past him and took a seat, releasing her already weak grip on the badge she'd grabbed from the vault, letting it cloatter to the ground."I'm not going to get into a back and forth with you on this, so, save it. You told your version, time for the rest to tell theirs."Shefacfed the commander while medic fussed over her, trying to get her behind a screen to inspect her. Her armor was barely hanging on and she simply shrugged it off, her top beneath just as frayed and she simply ripped it open, and let it fall, leaving her in her chest wrap. She was covered in scars and fresh cuts, blood all over.
"I'm guessing the vault he mentioned is the same one we left through. And the woman he mentioned was clearly dangerous. Just just dropped into a pit filled with several dozen Grimm and just strolled on through. Gruff, red hair. And that Sky boy seemed to know her. I found this badge thing in the vault before leaving. As for Prince's accounts of how thing's went..I never threatened him. I told him I had been forced to deal with baggage in the past just to survive. Nothing about what I would do with him. If he took it as a threat, that's his own hang-up. I offered my hand and got a gun in my face. An explosion occurred and Nox and Reikka were unconscious and Prince opened fire actively trying to kill me and nearly shot them in the process. We got swarmed by dozens of Grimm with wounded and unconscious people. And Prince ignored the rest, focusing on trying to get to his teammate. But, when attempt one failed, he turned tail and left us to die. He could have assisted in setting up some rope for us to climb out, but, he just left. And...there's another problem. Reikka's been taken by Rurle of the Crimson Fang."As the blood was cleaned away from her, a distorted brand scar became visible on her shoulder, clearly belonging to the Crimson Fang.

Before long, they surfaced and she stuck beside Dee. Eventually, she heard airships and looked up to see them descending and medical teams rushing out. She made to pass Dee off to them, but, four armed soldiers stopped her, weapons drawn and ordered her to not resist. Normally, she'd struggle like all hell, but, many in the group needed medical aid and most weren't treated roughly. But, before she could respond, one of them tugged her arms painfully behind her to cuff them. "OW! Careful! My bones ain't as tough as most! I ain't resistin alright? " Much to her discomfort, they also restrained her wings, though, they at least took note that manhandling her could cause injury and that she was willing to comply as they were less aggressive with her. A cursory check from a medical officer was all she got before being loaded into an escort ship rather than a medical vessel with the others The ride was unpleasant, but, at least someone else was there. Yui had also been brought with her and loaded up in much the same way. One of the men had told them that these were orders from the Commander and that if they had questions, they'd need to ask him. When they at last landed, she and Yui were escorted under guard to the Commander's tent and placed under armed guard to wait for him. ☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█Team:SLAR█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁
