Auburn turned as she heard a much worse sound from below. She would have gone closer to look, but, a crash caused the edge of the clifface to crumble away. If her arms wen't screwed up, she'd have made sure to move Dee even further back. She had a feeling a fight was coming. She also had a feeling no one was really in any shape to fight. Not something big enough to break the cliff anyway. Not even her. Without Judgement, she doubted she could do much. And that thought was only reinforced at the size of the claw that gripped the edge. Smaller Grimm climbed up and she turned."Run. I'll hold the little ones back, give you a shot. I can't do s**t against the big guy."
She then turned as the big one leapt up. Only thing she could really do against him was try and break the stonework he was standing on if she could find a weak point, maybe send him falling back. Before she could even do anything though, the area erupted in blue fire, flash-searing the smaller ones up top and injuring the big one. She looked passed him and saw one of their group from before they got separated. Auburn was ready to fight if needed, but, the girl flying above wasn't really leaving her anything and she was doing far more than what Auburn expected to be able to do to the big grimm, so, she just waited, ready in the event any stragglers clambered up..Finally, it seemed they might make it out of this as the big grimm was reduced to cinders and Yui glided in, stumbling to keep herself up. Auburn walked over to her. She couldn't really grab her and help her stand, but, she was more than stable enough for her to lean on as she expressed relief at her timing and awe of them still being here. Auburn was about to speak when she mentioned Prince.
"Forget Prince. After the explosion that separated us, he opened fire trying to shoot me again and was willing to shoot everyone else to do it. After the Grimm showed up, he tried to help Fran, but no one else and when he failed in that, he ran off, leaving us with unconscious people and inexperienced fighters, and a swallowed whole Fran to deal with all of that. He didn't even help setting up a way out. I wasn't sure I could manage it, but, fortunately, I was just able to pull Nox, Fran, Dee, and the kid there up all at once while Reikka climbed beside them in case any grimm started trying to get them on the way up. But, it came at a price. As a group, we're not really in much of a shape to move right now. Some just need a breather like you, others, like Dee...He really needs to stabilize.She turned to look off in the distance behind her before she began walking around, looking for any sighn of an exit not leading back through the pit or anything else that seemed out of place.

Fran was minding her own business trying to help up Dee when he suddenly becomes conscious and unconscious and conscious, also clearly in pain. Fran being in pain hasn't really bothered her that much but seeing others in pain is different. Fran can be quite empathetic in this way but she also realizes that not much can be done at the moment and so she keeps on doing her task. Then, the other guy also just now woke up, much to Fran's joy, not having to create a net for him to be dragged with. He would utter some exclamations before getting his bearings and asking of what had transpired during his slumber. Fran would answer, "Death defying acts and stuff, nothing major".
Then a roar would be heard from where they were at, clearly something very dangerous and big was down there, to be able to produce such a sound that will reach them so clearly. It was only moments after when a sudden pounding could be felt on the earth, then another moment for when a crack would open teetering everyone off balance. As the dust settled, Fran got up and regained her balance, monitoring the situation. Clearly those below hasn't had enough yet and is now looking for the much needed dessert, and they bought the big guns. Fran would sigh, as she gently touches the hilt of her sword, preparing if need be. However, as soon as an opposition came up, it would get burnt by a familiar face, very much to Fran. Mostly because of her preference, but also that face being the start of the trouble that caused the Prince kerfuffle. If only Fran held back on the playfulness, would things have changed? Auburn would try to save and buy time once again, for a person that'd say she would kill a teammate to survive the mission, she sure has a knack for tempting death, but that same attitude did save everyone, so I guess it's a well placed knack.
The familiar face, with which belonged to the lady Fran calls her lady, is none other that Lady Yui. With those attractive features and that elegant entrance, it can be none other. After saving our bacon by making that Grimm bacon, she'd declare herself backup, a much needed one. She'd do a recount of the faces before the split, and recognize Prince's absence. Auburn would do a great summary of what had happened to our group, and the lack of combat-worthiness we have. Fran would look unto Yui and smile at her before waving a hello as a greeting, then gesturing her hands together to show her gratitude for the help, with a gentle bow included of course. "I would love to catch up especially with the cute lady, but I really... really don't wanna stay close to the cliff so... Imma look around, yeah?" Fran would state before going off to look around.

— Prince, eh? Well, we better be weary of him as he is pretty dangerous. And what of Apex? Anything happened with our guys and her? Sky asked. Yet as soon as he did, the loud roar would then begin causing the rumbling and rippling. Sky was definitely in no condition to fight, but with the condition he is in, there really isn't time to heal up. For now, he would have to power through it and ready himself up. Sky would grunt, as he would pick up his sword, obviously all damaged up and dented from the fights. This is definitely gonna suck... But screw it, let's go at it! Nnngh! Sky would grunt, holding his sword up steady. Has it always been this heavy to hold? Either way, the weight shouldn't be a problem as now his biggest problem were the cracks splitting in the middle of the floor, and the masses of red eyes glaring at him. As of now, Sky would look for a way forward or way out of any kind. Hey Auburn? We should keep moving, and charge our way out. He would say. That was, until Yui came in and save them yet again. With an explosive flash, the Grimm horde and even the giant one were no more. The dust settled, and everyone was safe. Whoa... That girl from before... Sky said amazed as he looked down to see the dead grimm fade. Dropping his sword, Sky would fall back on his butt, before sheathing his blade again. All that's left is to keep searching for at least anything in this cavern. —

For the most part, she tried keeping speed while gliding, tracing back the path they'd taken before until she could see a brilliant flash of blue in the distance and several howls. Certain that's where she needed to go, she tried to pick up the pace a little. She dove slightly into a branching path and saw the debris from earlier, swooping up as she heard voices over the edge of the cliff that had bared their way. When she crested the ridge, she could see several injured, most seemed more or less mobile, but, there were some serious injuries. Auburn's arms were wrapped completely and in slings and...Dee she thought his name was was missing an arm entirely. Gashes and bruises made up the majority except for Yui who, frankly, looked like she had when they exited and that in itself was fairly serious. Skylar dropped down, landing a little too quickly in her distraction. She managed to catch herself though. "Yui. Sorry, we jus made it back ta camp. Ya found em. The general said they didn't make it. Glad he were wrong."
She Made her way over to Dee and Fran with the medkit she'd never wound up using. "Here. I...I ain't really skilled with medicine an all, but, I ain't used none of mine. " She opened it up and started passing over disinfectant and gauze while prepping the bandages. For now, they could focus on binding the limb in place. Dee was trying to hold it in place from what she could tell. She'd heard of a few cases here and there of someone being able to reattach a limb. Given Dee's attempts, it might be he could do so. And if not, well, at least some bandaging was better than nothing. She kinda wished she'd brought some sticks now. That arm would be difficult to secure without something rigid to brace it."We were told there were criminals around. Reckon that'd explain the explosions earlier. ___ Nox shifted uncomfortably as Reikka and Auburn filed her in on the details of what had happened to the group up here after she had lost consciousness again. Everything they said seemed to take a situation then find a way to make it worse and apply it. The sounds of all the grimm bellow still trying ot get up the cliff face just served to enhance that view point. Nox frowned deeply in regard to what Auburn said Prince had done. Her head shaking slowly as she muttered under her breath, "Foolish rookie. Boy needs a lot more experience." She glanced over at Fran and thought for a second or two. Her gaze moving over to the back of the cave where Prince must of scampered off to. 'With a little luck this might just give it to him. If he end up ashamed of how he behaved here then it should provide a firm source of strength he can tap upon to avoid repeating such blusters. Then he might just take a step towards becoming a leader worthy of the title.' Nox turned her attention back to Fran as she tried to help get Dee ready to be moved. She gave the girl a quick thanks for helping her before the sound of grimm grew much louder.
___ Along with the rise in how loud they were there was a sharp tremble in the rock under foot. At first Nox thought that it was an earthquake. she couldn't think of much that could risk a more complete escalation in the could this situation be any worse scale than an earthquake and to cave-ins it could cause. It didn't take long to figure out the the ground wasn't shaking because of geological instability. the shaking didn't last long enough and came in pulses. The grimm were making a fuss too so it must have something to do with them. Nox was about to move over to the edge of the cliff to take a look when the stone began to crack. Nox quickly backed away as the cracks spread and widened. Eventually the cliff broke away is sections. As the rock fell away the edge of the cliff jumped closer to their group until they were perched on the edge. Now Nox could see what was happening. 'Is that a beowolf...?' She thought as she stared at the massive grimm that was scaling the cliff. It was enormous and covering even vertical ground swiftly. They needed to get out of here and soon, but with Dee and that new kid she didn't recognize in the state they were there was slim chance of that happening.
___ Auburn had seen this huge grimm coming already as well and she was already moving up to intercept it and telling everyone to get going. Nox frowned and shook her head. She was in the best shape here and her power shouldn't be underestimated. Auburn's suggestion wasn't a plan to buy time but a plan for suicide. Nox reached down to the belts around her legs to take out a few of the vials of dust she kept there. She'd make a wall of ice and keep reinforcing it as long as she could while preparing a big strike for when the big guy finally busted through. She opened her mouth to contradict Auburn and order, at least strongly insist, that she help move the others and leave the rear guard to her. Before she got a word out the cave was rocked by more explosions. Blue fire was welling up everywhere and Nox could see someone flying around down at the foot of the cliff. Whomever it was they were climbing up towards them and the fire was following suite. As the new arrival closed in Nox recognized who it was. Yui came sweeping in just as the big guy topped the cliff. Putting herself between them and it and unleashed a virtual geyser of blue fire upon it as it ready to swipe a huge clawed paw at them. In mere moments the flames had devoured all the grimm and even the big boss was breaking apart and dusting away.
___ Having completed her grand entrance and epic rescue Yui landed. Understandably she was soon asking what happened. She confirmed what Auburn had said earlier about hearing fighting after the cave in. Yui said the other group managed to get out intact. That was at least a relief. But with the important stuff tended to Nox turned her attention to Yui's arm. Now that she had landed the burns were much more obvious as was the fragments of dust crystal still stuck into the girls flesh. It must hurt like hell and Nox was shocked that someone would actually fight using dust in such a way. Nox moved forward to crouch down beside Yui. "What have you done to yourself?" Nox whispered at her in a harsh tone as she reached for her arm. Her fingers just barely not touching the burned skin as she found the pieces of dust. She'd never seen someone push themselves so far and cause so much damage. Most wouldn't even think to stick a dust crystal into themselves like Yui had. Still she might be able to fix this, somewhat. "Yui could you hold your arm out. I might be able to fix this."
___ Nox waited til Yui responded. Once the other girl held her arm out Nox turned her semblance on. A pulse of red aura moved out from Nox's body as she pushed her aura outwards until the field enveloped Yui. With the diffusion field set up She finally touched her arm. Gingerly brushing off the cinders and piece of dust she on the surface. Then she tried to draw out the dust in her system. Nothing was happening so Nox tried something else. Pushing her aura more firmly against Yui's arm by surging every last drop of her aura that she could muster into the field and focusing it around the burned arm. A second or two after she did particles began to form over Yui's burned skin. The particles rose away and drifted into the air as if a swirling current of air was collecting it all into a ball between her and Nox. Nox's eyes were firmly closed and there was sweat forming on her brow and she focused on finding the dust in Yui's system and pulling it out. Nox was so focused that she was pretty much dead to the world now, not noticing the arrival of Skylar or the movements of the others as she worked. As the seconds ticked by Yui could feel the effects. The pain was receding as the amount of dust in her system diminished. Nox opened her eyes now that should couldn't sense anything more to target. "How's it feel now?" She asked as the aura field collapsed back to her body as she released her semblance. Without the influence of the semblance and rugged crystal of odd blue dust that mimicked the color of flames Yui had been using dropped to the ground with as clatter. Hearing the clatter Nox stooped over to pick up the crystal and looked it over. There was blue dust out there, A deep rich blue and one that looked cyan in color and made great defensive barriers, but Nox couldn't recall ever seeing a shade like this. It almost seemed to glow a little like minerals with ultra violet sensitivity did. "Well this is odd. Weren't you using red crystals?"

"You won't know what fear really is"
--------- Apex watched from behind at the students appeared to get in and get out. She was quite impressed, "That pair are half decent.." she said, not necessarily an impressed tone in her voice. The tribe leader entered the vault, everything triggered and ready for taking. She took out a radio and contacted some members of the tribe, telling them to send more men to come and get the treasures in the place, "Hurry it up wil ye?! I cannae be arsed wi any mere interruptions.." she said, putting it away as a devious smirk appeared on her face. This was soon shattered at the sound of someone else in the area, Apex figured it was just another annoying student and decided to leave it alone, but would be prepared for anything as always.
The smirk arrived as she moved closer to the treasure she had been waiting for, she honestly didn't think it would be this easy to get. "Da better nae be lying tae me.." she said, as she took it in her hands. Looking at the famed relic, Apex was almost expecting something amazing to happen to her as soon as she touched it. "Well.. that's bloody boring.." she said to herself, "And here I was, wantin tae bring this entire place doon.." she added, taking her backpack from her back and placing it infront of her, she put the relic in it and other things she could fit in as she then stood with her back faced to the irritation.
It wouldn't be long before other grunts from the tribe were making their way to the cave, ready to take and carry whatever they could for their queen.
Prince was ignored? Not worth Apex time? In the grand scheme of things, this made Usien change his plans. Keeping idea the distance to the exit and also Apex, he would stick around a little longer. As the vault opened, he would look inside of it and was blown away by what he was seeing. This was nowhere in the briefing! What was this? He was at least happy to see he was wrong. This lady was just someone robbing money and jewels and other things. Stepping closer into the vault, he would catch a glimpse of what seemed to be the most important thing. It was a relic. Obviously, Prince didn't know s**t about relics and what they were for so to him he was just seeing Apex put in some type of antique item into the bookbag. It must have been important or cost a lot of money the way she was looking at it. Either way, as she started to put that relic into her bookbag and the other jewels that were inside, Prince decided this was now time to slip away. There were no dangerous devices in there. Just some treasures. He did make sure to commit to memory the details of the relic and the jewels that he saw her scoop into the book bag. That way during debriefing he can at least hopefully get the reasoning behind treasures being locked inside a vault in a cavern in the first place.
Turning away, he used the noncaring to his advantage. She wasn't worried about him, so she wasn't going to stop him. Good. Sprinting, he would head towards the exit that was up ahead. As he ran towards it, he started to hear soft echos. People were coming from the exits? s**t. He would immediately take to the walls of the cavern and use his spider limbs to climb up it. Continuing down the path of the exit, he would pass by the tribe members coming in. The members walking past Prince as he crawled past them from above. Andrenaline pumping from the danger being introduced, he would continue crawl as fast as he could. Apex may not have bothered him, but who knew what some unknown punk who wanted to make a name for himself would do to Prince. The exit was long but it would become worth it in the end. Being close in the clear, he would end up outside the Cavern entrance (the end of the exit he took) and would try his scroll. Being out the Cavern was one step, but does no good if he can't make it home.
"Come in. Can anyone hear me? Is this thing on? ." He would start. He didn't hear anything back but that didn't mean it was a bad thing. Maybe they were confused? He would try again. This time, he made sure to push the communications button on his scroll so people could actually hear him. He didn't set the communication to a specific group. He placed it to open communications. Everyone from Beacon/Beacon staff with a scroll he was trying to announce his words too. Hopefully, someone heard him. "PAWS Leader Prince coming in. Does anyone hear me! If you can hear me, requesting transport and armed back up. I'm outside the trail that' puts you 20 feet away from the vault" He announced through the scroll before a thought came to his head. What if more goons came and that was just the first wave of tribe members? He hoped that wasn't the case.

『Into ƚhҽ Đαɾƙnҽss – Phase One: C』

[Quick reminder: you can control these beowolves, just don't dust/kill them, I will decide which ones die and which ones live, so each beowolf will have a mixture of me controlling them and you controlling them for this mission. Feel free to message me on discord if you want to dust one and I can approve it through message. If you do not want to control them at all that is fine too, no worries! If I put something in brackets it means you cannot change it though.]
The absolutely massive Alpha Beowolve and the hordes below would just as soon as they appeared, be swallowed whole in a catastrophic series of blue explosions which would scale down the cliff side, engulfing not only the alpha, but the throng of beowolves stacked dozens of times over in an all-consuming hellfire, showing the stragglers in a sea of azure devastation. The Alpha would collapse into a mass of its underlings beneath it as the blaze erupted brightly.
The hellish screams of beowolves being vaporized into dust would echo through the cavern as the quake began. At first just a a subtle movement of the ground, but as a large chunk of the cliff started to crack off the students could all see the surrounding area begin to shake more violently.
After the blue flames faded from their explosive glory there could be seen still a large group of beowolves below. Their beady red eyes glowing with voracious intent. Some of the beowolves were shot to the side with a great force underneath them. A massive claw burst from below and grabbed onto the edge. The Alpha. Its body cracked like a fine piece of pottery glued together after it had only just been smashed. Blue veins of flame all across its body glowed like a dying ember giving the beast an even more terrifying appearance. It surged upwards with a horrendous roar that could paralyze the feeble minded with fear. It gained a foothold, crushing its lesser allies, and leaped up high enough to grab onto the ledge of the cliff with its jaws and a single claw. The beast's eyes right on the group.
But then the cliff collapsed. The students were by and large safe from the fall, all except one. REIKKA. Reikka would slip off the cliff as she was on the large portion that was crumbling. She wouldn't be able to react. She wouldn't be able to move in time. She was just there... And then she wasn't. The beast's eyes grew wide as a massive chunk of the cliff just slid right off and smashed into the ground. Reikka falling into the abyss helplessly. The ground opening once again. The sound could only be described as thunder. Raw, unending thunder, as the ground below opened into a dark void and swallowed the remaining horde. It all happened so fast that by the time it was over all those standing around couldn't help but feel as if they had experienced something unreal.
The silence wasn't the same as before. Water from above seemed to pour down. Rocks sliding into the new abyss with a light pitter patter broke out every few seconds.
Sky (The-DJ-Ghost) ▬ Would be the first to notice it. A large vault could be seen. A small building to the side that looks like a sort of control station (it would be empty of anything but damaged panels and flickering lights though). He would see fierce looking red headed woman grabbing standing
Apex ▬ [The Vault door is locked, only the small building on the side is currently open, See P.8 Mod Post] -- The massive Vault door is locked. Though, there is a small building to the side of it. Inside there are two desks with panels of buttons. Most are off, but a few flicker red or blue. Claw marks riddle the place, but a side panel along the far back wall seems to illuminate the place. It was red rimmed, almost like one of the old fashioned emergency containers that contained and axe and fire hoses within residential buildings in Vale. Except this panel contained strange looking metal objects. The objects were rectangular. 5 inches by 7 with little metal arm grips that looked like it would attach onto something. In the middle of each plate it had a small marking that said: "Weapon Enhancer Prototype M.23." With a small opening for a vile of dust. A small instruction Manuel was hanging out of the panel from a small chain. It was partially destroyed, but part of the first page read: "Insert dust vile of choice, then attach the WEP M.23 to any weapon to augment its abilities with enhanced dust usage. These have proven effective for short bursts, but may destabilize your weapon so do not use unless it is an emergency. Please remember to-" and the page was cut off. [You may take one per Villain. Non-villains will not see any of these items left].

Яurlє primarily uses her sword to fight, but augments her moves with her semblance. Every time she activates her semblance it generates a phantom replica made of aura that copies her move, but from an angle and direction of her choosing.

Яurlє was born in what used to be Vαcuσ. She doesn't remember much of that though, as she was mostly raised impoverished on the streets of Vale. Яurlє was given a new life by ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʀɪᴍsᴏɴ ғᴀɴɢ. She now serves them as her master. Anyone who resists shall perish.
[Reikka is unable to escape this, nor be saved.]
Яurlє Was watching. Watching as she had been the entire time. From the darkness of the upper cavern walls she vigilantly recorded every move of the students. She had a complex series of harnesses that she was using to rappel from the ceiling and side of the cavern. It was slow work, but she always ended up catching up to the students. Being quiet was far more important than being swift in this scenario. It didn't take long to spot the cute girl she was tasked to capture. She didn't look like much, but was supremely brave from her actions. Яurlє thought that she was going to die at several occasions, which would have been unfortunate, but she survived. This girl would make a grand prize indeed. At the very end though, something surprising happened. A monstrous, blue ember-veined alpha beowolf leaped out to attack the students one last time, but ultimately ended up just collapsing the cliff. Яurlє knew that there was no way for Reikka to survive this, and none of her allies were in a position to save her.
This was her time.
Яurlє let go of her harness and let herself into a freefall. The air zipped past her ears with a painful fluctuation of pressure, but within seconds she was there. Like an angel made of modern art and stained glass. Above Reikka. She would smirk with a devilishly charming smile right before she grabbed Reikka. Her gaze already on the neighboring cavern wall. She pressed a button on her belt that sent a strange cold liquid up into her backpack. Reikka could here the machine kick to life as a hook-shot darted from her backpack and attached itself to the cavern wall. Reikka would feel the machine kick in when it started to reel them in. The rest of the students would see them almost blip out of existence as it all happened so fast.
Яurlє's left eye, in fact, her entire left half of her body was different from the other half. Her left eye twisted away to look at Reikka while the right eye stayed focus on the direction they were traveling. She would give a nod to the white-haired girl as if to say 'Hello,' but it was clear she wasn't going to start a conversation. She would launch them through a small cavern on the side of the wall. A secret entrance of sorts. Before the others knew it. Reikka was gone...
XXXThere was visible confliction in Yui's expression when the red-haired faunus started going off about Prince, as well as the events that followed. Where there was once a smile of genuine hope, happiness, it now barely hung from her lips as a disappointed frown. No, not just disappointed. Saddened and uncertain. Just earlier today she had stood her ground against Auburn in his favor, she tried diligently to reason between them. To help them all get along. Now, though, it seemed that the very person she was trying to aid may have been one of the many reasons that this group had to endure such trials. .. That they barely survived. And funny enough, it was Auburn that apparently carried her weight in trying to get them all to safety. White brows would furrow against her forehead, pale blue hues very clearly trying to process the news the best she could. Perhaps it was the exhaustion that was clouding her thought process, just as it had forced her to act in such an irrational manner for combat. A concerned gaze would then pan towards Dee, watching as the pinkette worked to tie him together and ensure he was ready to move out. ".. You've all been through so much... You did outstanding to get them this far, Auburn. .. Thank you." There wasn't a whole lot that Yui could actually say to the horse faunus, knowing that the very start of their mission had a bitter interaction. If what she had true, as no one necessarily objected to her explanation, then they were lucky to have had her there. There may have been more to the circumstance, but that was something that would have to come to light later on. A feeble smile curled against her lips at the sight of Fran, who made her presence known with a smile and wave. Not only that, but a gesture of appreciation matched with a bow. It delighted her, in fact, despite the trying times. In fact, this was the first actual instance that she caught one of Fran's compliments. Yui would blink in visible confusion for a brief moment, the smile curling against her cheeks growing. "Please do. We'll have plenty of time once we find our way to the surface." Watching the pinkette wander away, Yui instinctively went to wave with her white hand. To say that was a huge mistake was an understatement.
Adrenaline was dying down, causing the distinct burning of her arm to spike to an agonizing level. Fingers would instinctively clench, tendons tightening and pressing firmly against her skin. What was left of shards of dust began to burn with more intensity both against and beneath her flesh, causing agony to spiral up her arm. As muscles tightened, it caused her arm to visibly start both trembling and writhing in pain. It took every bit of self-restriction to keep her from grasping hold with her left arm, knowing that the pressure would only intensify against the tenderness of her flesh. Before Yui could begin to move or think of a resolution, another made her presence clear. A student she recognized from the team leader briefing, Nox, who had visible concern in her expression as she crouched beside her. What Yui hadn't expected was the harsh tone of her words to slip from her lips, reminding her of a stern parent ready to scold her child. Which, in all fairness, was fitting for the circumstance. "I.. Did what I had to do.." Yui whispered in retaliation, her pale orbs looking to meet Nox. Sure, this means of dust usage was unorthodox, but it was effective. That was something that Nox couldn't take away from her. If she hadn't shown up when she did, if she hadn't utilized both dust and her semblance in tangent the way she did, they may not have left this cliffside. In fact, Yui may not have even made it from the base of the cliff. It was harnessing the untapped potential of dust as a catalyst that saved her life not once, but twice today. It was that very same effect that allowed her to save not only them but those in her own regimen as well. Yui held no regrets in her actions, and she wasn't going to let Nox believe otherwise.
.. Though, when Nox asked for her arm, Yui was reluctant. Pale orbs darted down to her arms, her pained but confident expression melting away to one of hesitance. "Hold it out? .. Okay.." She responded reluctantly, knowing very well she didn't have much of a choice. If someone was able to do anything for the severity of her arm, it was a risk that she had to take. Though to say it pained her greatly to move her arm was an understatement, as just sitting there idly was absolute agony. Hesitantly, Yui's singed fingers would switch as she began to raise her arm. It itself didn't want to move, didn't want to respond, feeling as if her veins themselves were pumping fire through her system. That was a result of the dust embedded in her flesh, it continued to burn, whether or not her semblance was active. Carefully, she'd brace the palm of her left hand under her wrist, slowly bringing her arm up while buckling her left elbow to keep it in place. Her muscles were tight, her tendons pushing up against burnt skin as pale blue glowing cinders pushed up from her skin. Curious blue orbs darted back and forth, watching as an encompassing presence of red aura stretched from Nox over herself, causing her to raise a snow-white eyebrow. Yui was familiar with a number of students semblances, due to her place as an assistant for Kail, but Yui had never been present in class with this faunus. So, aside from her name, she knew little to nothing about her. "What is this?" She wondered, though before she could vocalize her question, she'd instead wince at Nox's touch. As gentle as she tried to be, her skin was quite tender, and the slightest touch agitated the burning sensation provided by the dust particles. Yui would suck in her lip, biting against it as cinders were brushed away. Nox's focus appeared to intensify, the woman closing her eyes as the presence of her encompassing aura grew drastically. At first, the disturbance her aura caused seemed painful, as if intentionally agitating the particles that littered her arm. After a short moment, however, something miraculous began to occur. Tiny, glowing speckles of light began floating from her skin. It was a collection of particles that seamlessly swirled together, collecting into a ball of vibrant blue light between them. As the number of particles grew, the intensity of the burns that radiated between her nerves began to dull. It no longer felt like someone firmly pressing hot coals beneath her flesh. Instead, a dull but constant pain that was expected from exposed flames, but nothing new, nothing fresh. Yui's muscles had begun to relax, the presence of her tendons against flesh receding. It no longer trembled and tightened at the presence of touch. It still hurt, for certain, but nowhere near the caliber it had before. This was a cakewalk in comparison. Yui could even move her fingers, slowly curling the soot-covered flesh into a fist as she turned it over.
How did it feel? Well, how truthful should she be? "It feels like I set myself on fire. .. But that flames have since been doused." She'd pause, trying to think of a better way that she could possibly word the burden that had been lifted from her. It hurt, but she could move, she could think. It wasn't a matter of burning from the inside out anymore. Her very nerves weren't on fire. "It doesn't feel like I'm going to burst into flames. Whatever you did... It worked." She said softly, her tone perking up in appreciation as she bowed her head. Whatever Nox's semblance was, it was something remarkable. She had never seen someone with the ability to breakdown dust to what seemed to be a molecular level, nor the ability to reform dust. .. Except for one person... A sight caught her attention, however. The presence of a vibrant, azure dust crystal that matched the shade of her very own flames. To look upon it seemed entirely unreal, the sight itself causing her eyes to widen. "I.. I was... May I?" She asked quietly, holding up her left hand towards Nox and the dust crystal. Notably, her left hand was still gloved, unlike her right. Yui wasn't about to use her right hand for anything, let alone let any more dust come into contact with her skin. If Nox did allow Yui to handle her dust crystal, Yui would bring it in closer to look at, letting the vibrant glow reflect in her eyes like shallow pools of azure. If not, she'd merely lean in to get a closer look. "I wonder.. My semblance resonates with fire dust in a very volatile way. .. I've learned when I use myself as a catalyst, the two chain react in a way that multiplies its effect. I draw the effects from the dust, then channel it back, and the dust increases my output like dousing flames with gasoline." That was the only way she could compare the ability. It wasn't one she had used before and only discovered in a pinch back in the collapsed cavern. Shifting carefully as to not agitate her right arm further, she'd turn on her knees to indicate towards another set of dried, but relatively fresh burns on her back. Similar to her hand, there was a point of a puncture where burns had spread in a crack like fashion, just as it had done on her hand. ".. When I did it beneath the caverns, it shattered, but the pieces didn't turn out like this." She continued, indicating once again towards the azure crystal of dust that the two held between them. Blinking curiously, she recalled an anecdote involving her late grandfather. "My grandfather was very similar, using lightning dust as a conduit to increase the potency of his semblance.. More accurately. There was a rumor among his colleagues that he could emit so much on his own in the aura, he could recharge expended dust of that nature. When he did, it would supposedly become green like malachite." It was a concept that in truth, seemed quite unfathomable. Dust was a continuously depleting resource, so the idea that someone's aura could become so potent that it could recharge or recreate the expelled dust. .. Well, that just seemed downright impossible, did it not? Yet, here the two held a reformed dust crystal of potentially untapped properties, mimicking the very fires it was created from. ".. Do you think that's even possible? .. and that this could be in the same vein?" If the rumor of possibly had been true among her grandfather, then... It was possible that she could've inherited a similar capability of her own respective element, but what were the odds of that? Had they stumbled upon an innate Lioncourt ability, or perhaps something else?
It was during this interaction that Skylar arrived, causing her to go unnoticed by the two for several moments while she got herself settled. Yui had noticed the familiar white wings, but both the pain of the task at hand and the curiosity behind it had kept her occupied. There were a few things that had the woman a bit perturbed. The first being the fact that not only was Skylar here, but she flew here. Was there actually a medic present that was able to tend to her so quickly, or.. Had the entire been a farse? It was an unsettling thought, to have that kind of doubt in a teammate, but it was thought that she couldn't help but cross her mind. There was also the fact that Aado wouldn't have sent her, just like he hadn't sent herself. .. Then again, she couldn't necessarily give her flak for that, being one to disobey orders herself. Skylar seemed eager to help if she was willing to come all this way in pursuit of her. So who was she to send that away? Looking up at her winged teammate, she'd nod before speaking. "I am too. I knew he had to be. .. Keep it up, okay? See if anyone here needs immediate aid. We need to try to get out of here as soon as possi-" Before Yui could continue, however, she was cut off by a horrific howl that resonated through the cavern. Such a horrendous sound sent a chill down Yui's spine, be it of fear or disbelief, it was a sensation she wasn't used to. One she despised, in fact, because it screamed one thing. She failed. "No.." No matter how grand her attack was, how many hundreds of beowolves she burned to ash, the one that mattered still stood. Not only did it stand, but it clung to the side of the cliff. Blue veins of burning cinders stretched across its massive body, granting the beast a far more monstrous appearance than it had prior. Her pale blue hues would meet the eyes of the beast, the one she was meant to slay. 'A hellfire beowolf...' She had to stand up, she had to fight. She had to end this thing once and for all before it was too late. If Yui didn't already have the blue dust crystal in her left hand, she may have snatched it in that instance from Nox to have some inkling of firepower to work with. Winching, the woman began forcing herself up to her feet. She was ready to draw her bow, ready to use that very dust crystal as an arrow to fell the beast once and for all. But then nature itself would intervene. A series of cracks would erupt in the cliffside, etching the very ground the beowolf clung to. The cracks would spread a distance, crumbling beneath the might of the beowolf. Just before the cliff collapsed, Yui noticed something. The ground was giving in near the students. One student, in particular, had the ground crumbling beneath her very feet. By the time she realised, however, it was too late. A segment of the cliff had collapsed, taking both the beowolf and a student with it. "Reikka!" Yui would shout, albeit a second too late. The girl vanished from sight over the cliffside along with the beowolf that would soon meet its demise with a crash.
Then, just as fast, the impossible happened. A blur of white and black zipped from the darkness. Seemingly out of nowhere, as if the shadows, a figure dove freely past the cliffside. 'What was that?' Yui thought, hastily getting up to her feet. Or attempting to do so. Yui was pretty well spent, and the sudden shift from kneeling to being on her feet seemed like an impossible task. In another flash, however, that same figure zipped up the cliff once more. This time, Yui got a better glimpse of whatever this was. .. It was a woman of duality. As if straight down the middle, the woman was completely different. Her right half looked entirely normal, with black hair and cream skin. The right, however, caused Yui to blink twice. It was twisted and obscure. Her hair was white, her skin either adorned with paint or tattoos, looking far more akin to a demon. Even her eyes were a different color. She had never seen anyone quite like her, and her face would be burned in her memory. This time, as well, with a familiar figure tucked in her arms. It was Reikka. This woman had not only saved her but appeared to be whisking her away to someplace else. Yui had to act fast before it was too late. First, she attempted to push off the ground, she tried desperately to flap her wings, but she was burnt out. She expended almost all she had to give, and her body was paying the price now as she collapsed to her knees. Making matters worse, she had no choice but to brace herself with her heavily burned arm. "Tch.. Dammit, wait!" She shouted, but to no avail. In the blink of an eye, they had vanished into darkness without a trace. She couldn't believe it. Especially after coming all this way. After doing all she had done to reach them, to find them, to find out they had all survived... In the blink of an eye, one of them was snatched away. And what could she do? She wanted to go after her, she wanted to try, but not only was she not fast enough... Frankly, she didn't have the strength left in her. Curling her singed fist tightly, she'd slam it against the cave floor, tearing into one of the series of burns that adorned her skin. "I couldn't stop her.. Who was that, even? Maybe Skylar could.. No.. I can't just send her into the dark.." Throughout this entire mission, Yui had been on top of one thing after another. Initial scouting, reuniting in the collapse, saving Chase and Sakura, recovering the artifact and helping lead them out, then searching for the lost alpha members. Each time she was more ambitious, each time she was willing to prove leadership. Now, though, she just wasn't sure what to do. How were they supposed to go after Reikka? Could they even, given their injuries and needing to get Dee stabilized? Getting out of the cavern was top priority before, but what now? What were they supposed to do?

Auburn shrugged a bit at the gratitude shown to her. She wasn't really used to that sort of thing and it had been an impulse for survival, not really for their sake. Not that she'd say that aloud. She had enough issues right now to not add more fuel to the fire of distrust."I...Only did what I had to." She made ready to start searching when a howl erupted behind them however and she spun in time to see the massive claw strike down and the cliffside, along with Reikka collapse. She simply stared at the edge until something shot up. And what she saw made her eyes flash violently, her semblance almost firing off again in response as she gritted her teeth and glared with unrestrained hatred and malice at the sight. But, she couldn't follow, so, she quickly reigned herself in. Though, her eyes still gleamed with the pure hatred and malice from before. Yui tried to get up and then started mumbling about sending Skylar.
"No. Don't bother. You won't find her. Reikka isn't in danger yet. And if her Parents cooperate, she'll probably be released safely."She had said too much, she knew that, but, she couldn't let the others try to follow."That person was Rurle. I don't know if it's her real name or not, But, she's a master at stealth. If she managed to break your line of sight, that's it. She's gone. She's a member of the Crimson Fang. A faunus group who hate humans and want to overthrow society to give faunus more rights and control humans. Rurle is one of their main kidnappers. The Crimson Fang are also the ones who...who held me prisoner most of my life. She probably didn't want to risk coming down here with me present. Considering how many of them I killed to escape...she probably didn't feel like risking taking me on. She's never been much of a fighter. The best we can do is find a way out of this pit and let them know what happened up top."
Weapon(s): Judgement is a massive sword that is 77" long, 14" wide and weighs 54 lbs, but, has no unique properties other than that. Auburn is able to wield this beast of a blade, even one-handed, because of her Semblance.
However, her boots and gauntlets are equipped with mini cannon-like guns that fire off dust rounds. (See Mission for image of gauntlets and boots)

— The sounds of the battle just a few tunnels down can definitely be heard from over here. Sky would just keep on, as he would right now. So far, Yui, Skylar, Reikka and even Auburn can handle what's going on over here. If it wasn't for him taking the mission, he'd be in less pain than he is now. Hell, he'd even be more alive than when he entered here for no apparent reason. Aw who am I kidding, I'd probably still rush in there. What's the point of me fighting Grimm and saving people if I can't improve myself? If not me, then who? Sky would think to himself while walking and climbing through. Hm? whoa!! Now that's more like it! Sky said happily, as he noticed the large safe like door in the middle of the cave opening. Walking closer to the door, he looked it over and around. Hmm... Pretty recent, has some modern locking mechanisms behind it, just what the hell are you hiding, huh? Sky wondered, looking at the small shack next to the safe. Most likely it's the control mechanism that would open and close this large safe door. As sky would go in, he would unsheathe his large sword, making sure not to be surprised at whatever was in here. Claw marks, old dried blood, and even decaying skeletal bodies on the floor. It was obvious that some of those Grimm hordes had gotten in and taken out these poor souls. As he turned the corner, he saw her. The red head he spent his life looking for, and sworn to kill. Apex... He muttered, seeing her here of all places. Holding his sword up in a ready stance, he glared at her. Why are you here? What's so important about this place to you? He asked, ready for any slight movement she would make. The one thing that does worry him the most of all this, is how is he going to make it through this one not feeling a hundred percent for this fight. This is the worse possible moment to find her. —
One by one, everyone started waking up. First Dee, then Sky, "Oh, great! You guys are finally up again." She said with a strange mix of relief and a calm glee, knowing the factor of dead weight was no more. She stuffed the blanket back into the pack she got it from then started tending to Dee's wound as he couldn't seem to make up his mind whether he wanted to be awake and endure so much pain, or be unconscious again and aware of nothing that was going on around him. Then... as the huge crash violently rattled the cliff edge and the surrounding caverns, Reikka tensed and inched closer to the edge of the hole. Everyone else seemed to gone quiet and a mixed look of fear and surprise resonated and rippled across each and every on of their faces. Reikka could see the horror that was below them: Beowolves, all of them grasping at the bottom of the edge, barely concealed by the fog, and to her complete bewilderment, a huge one, which must have been the alpha, upwardly scaling the cliff. Reikka backed up a bit as soon as she saw that image in her head, the shock and adrenaline rushing back to her senses as soon as she thought that they would have to fight again, this time an enemy that they may most likely not be able to take down. Everyone around her seemed to be having the same reaction. For an instant, she looked at Auburn in unison with Nox, a look of horror crossed her face as soon as she realized that Auburn was volunteering herself for willing suicide to save the rest of them. Nox was just about to berate her for being in slings and, suddenly, the Grimm were no more. In a seering flash of blue flames, most of them were wiped out, and another maiden in white and glistening hair swooped in dramatically and stood before them. The first thing Reikka noticed was that her energy seemed strange, something unnaturally riveting. It didn't take long for her to gasp at the sight of dust crystals embedded into her flesh. Nox had an equally horrified look, and took care of it by taking out the remnants aswell as the huge chunk that was stuck into her arm.
Then everything seemed to happen so quickly and yet still under slow motion all at once. As soon as they thought the beowolves were all but gone, the huge one burst through their line of sight and was about to savagely strike them with its blue, flaming paws.... until the edge of the cliff started crumbling away, taking the beast along with it. What Reikka did not anticipate, however, was that the ground beneath her crumpled aswell, and in a blink of an eye she swore her life flashed before her as she went down the hole alongside the dying beowolf. Reikka has a horrified expression as the rock face cracked off, a look of both utter shock and despair slowly rushing through to her mind as the realization dawned, and her limbs going limp as she helplessly looked on the face of her friends as they disappeared. "This is it..." She thought as the sound of exclamations and shouts vanished from her senses, "This is how I'm going to die!" She closed her eyes as she began falling straight down into the fiery pit. Then, when the devastating crash didn't come and the feeling of rushing wind stopped, she opened her eyes, gasping with even greater shock that she was sailing through the air, in the arms of some strange woman who gave her a nod to seemingly introduce herself, but said nothing further to explain why on earth she was saving her. Reikka looked all around her, seeing the view from up high, seeing that the students weren't there anymore and that they must have made it through somehow. What did not calm her was the fact that this woman saved her from death in the first place. Not that she wanted to die or was disappointed that she didn't exist anymore, but moreover the reason why this person saved her in the first place. Was she being abducted? The thought crossed her rigid mind as she began to understand what the intentions of this woman was.
Saving her might have prevented her from death, but at what cost she was weighing in her mind? Reikka started to mentally panic, wishing she was scrambling to get out of this stranger's arms before she could sell her off or something equally demented. But her body remained motionless, unable to comprehend what was happening to her at this very moment, except in her mind's eye. She let the woman carry her to safety, hoping she'd simply live another day to see her friends rescue her somehow. Or live long enough to become a circus rat, great.

___ Nox's immediate reaction to Yui's response to how she felt now that Nox was finished was a somewhere bemused sounding scuff. She nodded her head as well. In was fairly clear that she was relieved and quiet pleased that everything had worked out but was still trying to maintain a seriousness that their situation called for. All of which made the scuff sound less like a minor acknowledgement and more like a repressed laugh. "Well I suppose that is to be expected. You basically did set yourself on fire. Might as well have replaced your blood with molten metal. I can break down and extract all the dust that was flooding your system but without someone with a healing semblance here you're stuck with the burns until you can get to the school infirmary so Dr. Field can check you out."
___ Nox glanced down to the large dust crystal in her hand once more. Her fingers shifting across its surface and she turned it about to look over all its sides. The crystal was consistent looking in color and shade, though that should be expected since it is 100% pure. Her curiosity about it grew when Yui confirmed that the dust she had been using was the standard red type used to make fire effects. She placed it onto the palm of Yui's gloved hand when the other girl asked if she could see it as well. Like Nox Yui turned it over and examined it. She had a theory as to what they may be looking at. Nox pursed her lips and thought it over. Electrical effects like lightning can from yellow dust. Yui's grandfather could synergize and recharge expended dust of that type which made it turn a green shade. Nox eventually shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure. Typically you would think that if you recharged the existing properties of something then the color would remain the same as the properties you restored are the same. At the very least they would be very similar like maybe the power is less efficient and is expended faster after a recharge, but still ultimately useful since a recharge can be done multiple times." Nox replied before she moved her right hand over the crystal and tapped the nail of her index finger against it as she tapped it a couple times before continuing. "With my semblance it is possible that I could experiment with this and find out what exactly its properties are. But just from looking at it I wouldn't say that it is just fire any more. If it is still fire then it could be the color change you were talking about comes from it being superconducting now. The color change of the crystal and partials of the dust being some what akin to the color change of the element itself when exposed to a chemical that enhances it. Like the white sparking flames you get from a magnesium fire. In a way becoming superconducting after what you did would line up with what you said your semblance was doing. You also said the earlier crystals shattered. They may of just been expended during the fighting, after all I didn't sense any large amounts of dust in your body outside the arm, or are unstable enough that this crystal only exists now because you had me here to make it." Nox glanced at the injuries on Yui's back while she spoke about the last bit of her theory.
___ Unfortunately this wasn't the place for the two of them to really explore this interesting finding. The pair of them were brought back to the cliff after a short while. Another winged rescuer had arrived and she approached the two of them to talk with Yui. This would have to wait. "Well for now we have other priorities. You should keep that crystal for now. I'd just advise you to not use it until it can be examined." Nox said quickly so that the two winged girls could talk. While they talked about managing to find the lost group Nox moved off and looked around. The talk didn't last long before Skylar left Yui to take a med-kit over to Dee and Fran. There wasn't much time for any work to get done though as the cliff face began to shake once more. Nox turned towards the edge and blinked as her mouth fell open in surprise. 'He came back from that!? What does it take to kill that thing?' Nox thought in a panic as the huge beowolf pulled itself up the cliff once more, only this time blazing in blue fire from Yui's attack. After all the fighting though the cliff just wasn't putting up with any more of this and the stone began to crack. Just seconds after the first cracks appeared sections began to crumble. Not small sections going bit by bit like earlier. This time whole portions of the cliff broke away. Including the area where Reikka was standing. The team leader was there one moment and the next she was falling. There was no time to react before she had disappeared in the black shadows and tumbling rocks.
___ Just like Yui and Auburn Nox moved for the cliff. It was a futile gesture. A vain hope against despair that there would be something they could do for Reikka. Just like the others she stopped at the surprising appearance of another person. An unknown individual dove from somewhere in the shadows along the cave's ceiling after Reikka. They were a blur going down but on the way back up Nox could make out some details. Enough to be certain she had never seen that person before and that they were not a part of this mission. That was all the more evident that they didn't bring Reikka back to them and instead carried her off in to the dark. They were quickly lost from sight through the still falling rocks and dust that feel from the collapsing portions and cave walls and ceilings. Nox turned towards the others as Auburn spoke to Yui about not bothering to try and chase after the kidnapper. Clearly she was familiar with the woman as Auburn was able to not just place a name to the face but a background as well. Nox frowned about one thing though. "And if her parents don't cooperate or play nice enough for their liking? What happens then, Auburn?"

So, was this how it was going to end? Prince was going to be rescued and then military aid was going to help get the rest of the group out? Wrong. There was no response that came from the scroll. Prince would repeat himself but nothing came from it. He was all alone now. He was out of the cave, but now it was a matter of getting home. If he could get a signal then maybe he be able to get back to Beacon. Putting his scroll up, he would decide that the best measure was to press on. Standing still as a sitting duck was going to do him no good and it was obvious now that the military aid either couldn't hear him or were ignorant of the situation at hand.
Where to go? he wondered curiously before looking out and seeing that the exit leads out to some type of meadow. Was, he in the middle of the forest? Why did it lead out here? He expected maybe some rocky terrain or something more crazy. The meadow seemed almost calm and peaceful. The grass danced gently with the breeze as he gazed upon them. It was so surreal that he almost felt a strange uneasy calm just being there. Like he wasn't just in a grim infested cavern. Checking back to his scroll, he would hope that it would connect and have a signal but still it was useless. Walking through the meadow, he wondered where to go from there. Hoping for 3rd time was the charm, he called for help on his scroll again hoping that a response would come. Or, any type of good news.
"Where....Am I?" He questioned outloud.
