Name: Sanuye (Meaning: Red Cloud at Sundown) D.O.B.: October 16th Age: 17 Gender: Female Physical Appearance: She stands at five feet seven inches, tall and willowy for a woman. She has the fine-boned features of her people; high cheekbones and a well-defined nose, full lips and caring eyes. Her hands are delicate, her feet small, though worn with her travels. Her hair is thick and falls to her waist in dark chesnut folds, shining with amber undertones in the daylight. Her skin is golden-brown with a red undertone, bearing no natural blemish. Her eyes are brown as well, like pools of melted chocolate, and shine into her soul... unless she closes the shutters. History, Persona: Sanuye was born at sundown. As her mother pushed her into this world, the shining light of day began to turn into that of night. The sky was alight with color, deep reds swirling with violet and purples. The clouds shone, taking the pallette of the sky and giving it texture.The air began to take on the smell of night: a crisp, cool scent often only detected by woodland creatures.
Her first breath was expelled as a cry. It was a single, piercing sound that rang throughout the valley. This cry consisted of only a single note, not the neverending wailing that was often the sound of a baby's whine. It ended abruptly. Sanuye squeezed her small hands into tiny fists.

Sanuye has the love of nature common in her people, though hers is more pronounced. She would choose even the stony silence of a rock over the insistant whine of a man, the company of a light breeze over a dancer's. Ever is she found in the forest, rushing along the mountains, swimming in the lake, watching as the deer go about their business. She is wild and free.
When she enters the confines of a camp, even that of her own people, a change comes over her. Her eyes no longer sparkle with an inner light, her pace is no longer brisk rather sluggish and slow. She does not speak. She does not look either left or right. She does not acknowledge the presence of others; she can not, for her mind is still flying with the eagles.
She is seen as a prude, as a stuck-up woman whose heart is cold as ice. Even her own parents see her as only a spiritless snob, and one of her own making at that.
For she shows none her inner beauty.
Only her friends Nature and Animal know what she truly holds dear. For she is not a prude, rather simply one who was never taught to deal with humans... and so fled to the wild.

Sanuye had made very few human friends on her rare visits to the villages of her people. Most often, she would see a gorgeous Soquili, and follow it home... lurking in the bushes, hiding behind trees, always watching and yet never making her presence known. When the Soquili neared it's teepee, Sanuye would watch as a human emerged and went to give their darling a treat or praise. Sometimes, these humans would notice Sanuye, and call her over.
One such human was an Indian woman by the name of Mia.
Sanuye hadn't thought much of their meeting, having simply gone through the motions she could scant remember, nodding when was appropriate and smiling occasionally. It soon became obvious that their conversation had meant much more to Mia.
Mia had many Soquili, and knew that Sanuye had none. She thought to gift Sanuye with a basket from her gorgeous mare Aiya.
Sanuye was touched by this kind action, as she had never before recieved a gift from any but her own family and the creatures of the forests. These gifts consisted of a simple feather, ribbon, or some acorn a squirrel thought to share. She named the filly that emerged from the basket Keahi, for the Flames and Fire. She watched Keahi as she grew into a gorgeous adult...
... and now it was Sanuye who found Indians lurking in the shadows of the trees and brush by her home, who called over to them as they stared longingly after her most precious gift.
When Sanuye fled to the wild, she took naught but the clothing on her back and a bundle of tanned deer-hide. She went to the farthest reaches of the forest closest to a trickling stream, and sought to make her home there. She journeyed until she found a small clearing, for she did not wish to cut down any of the magnificient trees only to make room for herself. She was on the edge of the forest, and could hear all the sounds of the wild animals. Sanuye set up her teepee there.
One of her days was spent searching through the forest for red berries. She took only what she needed, for the saw a family of birds that had made their nest above the bush... she did not wish to take too many, and invoke their anger. She took the berries to her bare teepee and crushed them upon a stone, mixing them with dirt of the earth to make the liquid stick. The Indian woman then dipped her fingers in the make-shift paint and went over to the deer-hide tent. As soon as her fingers touched the canvas, she was filled with inspiration.
Upon the Eastern side of her teepee lie these images: a crescent moon, and two horses with riders. The pair flee to the North, to where the forest begins; a constant reminder of Sanuye's fierce need to be with nature.
The clearing was once home to her first few Soquili, though they have since traveled on to make lives of their own.

A Note on Slot Entering Priority: ( 08/14/2018, updated 11/28/18 ) 1*. Keahi & Imperio have first dibs on any Unedited-only breeding slots. * For mixed slots that offer both Edited and Unedited slots, we have discussed that we will be giving priority to our backlogs of Edited couples first- from my end, that means any Edited couples without children (below) first.
Edited priority couples: (No Children) 1. Orea & Ean (No biological children, one mock-child from years back) 2. Lalaith & Yanisin (No children, up to Dawn) 3. Before Keahi entered her life, Sanuye had spent much of her nightime hours dreaming of the company of Soquili. These dreams were vivid, so real she could almost feel her companion's breath against her shoulders as they embraced. Although she loves Keahi dearly, these dreams are ever-present when she sleeps, appearing as soon as she closes her eyes and leaving lingering traces of longing when she awakes.
She now seeks to find their company in her waking hours... She quests for her dreams.
... Sometimes... rarely... one of Sanuye's dreams is able to take on an earthly form. As of now, only a few have been able to make this transition.
A dream of a dapple-grey mare with veiled lavender eyes, ethereal and distant yet burning with an inner warmth. A dream called Evelyn.
... and a nightmare of a stallion, with eyes like the very pits of hell and a heart as black as a starless night sky. A nightmare by the name of Kerrigan.
Others have taken on the form of Huro's RL horse companions. heart
