Colche meets mng'arizo ((fin))

Syrius Lionwing
sures ^-^!))

Her long slender legs padded through the browns of the golden grass lands. these wern't really her lands of course, her coat wasn't suitable for hunting in the barely dappled shade of the grasses. She knew this from experience. The dapples trees around the edges of jungles, forests, any where really were more to her liking, she found it much easier to hunt amongst the heavily dappled shade of the trees. The wonderlust had taken her though so now she padded through the long whispy grass, hungry and a little frightened. She tried to remind herself why she was here, why she was out from her safe, comfortable home near the trees. There were lions out here.

Colche feared lions aboove all else. They had killed her mother as a young juvenile, she had wandered alone, eating left over rubbish and rats, mice, anything small enough for her to catch. As a result she was a rather small female, rather daintily built, but with the speed and power obvious in her shoulders. To survive she had, had to learn to hunt quickly. She gave a soft sigh and started when a hare darted beside her, she contemplated chasing it, a hare wasn't really much good to her growling gut though. She would have to hunt properly soon, or she'd be too weak and hungry to. She really should have eaten before she left home.

The small hare was followed by a pure white blur, which must've been the reason it seemed to be running for dear life. Mng'arizo didn't usually go for 'snacks', but this hare seemed particularly plump and it was just too much of an easy meal to pass it up. Snarling, he bolted to the left, cutting into the hares path so that it had no where else to go. In one quick move, he sprang forward on to the hare and snapped its little neck quickly.

Breathing heavily, the cheetah flopped down into a lying position. He always was out of breath after hunting, as he still wasn't quite used to it after all this time of being away from his mother. Only once he had settled with the hare lodged between his front paws did he catch the scent of something else. Bright green eyes narrowed, he looked around.

Syrius Lionwing
Dusty blue eyes followed the persuit of the hare, her ears flattening softly against her head, she had never seen another cheetah before, she had lived a lonly, solitary life, as with most cheetahs. For a long moment she was silent, and still, the brittle grasses brushing against her beautifully marked fur.

She was unsure if she was welcomed near the other, she was feeling very unsure if she was or not, she could tell byu the scent that it was a male Cheetah, but he had caught a meal, a some what paltry meal, but still she doubted she would be welcome here with such a small thing to eat, she would certainly be thought of as a scavanger. her tail tip twitched in a very nervous fashion as she circled away, she didn't wish to desturb his meal or be thought of as a threat, perhaps this was his territory.

~Masamune~
Not seeing anything, Mng'arizo's ears perked up, listening for any sound that would give the other creature away. Deciding that investigating this was more important than the little snack he had just caught, he got to his feet and padded in the direction where the scent was strongest. It wasn't long before he caught a glimpse of something. Head lowered, he skulked after the creature to get a better look. When he finally recognised the slim body, long tail and generally elegant features of the creature, he grinned. "Ah, forgive me. I thought you were one of those filthy beasts." What the female didn't know was that he was refering to lions.

Picking up the pace, he arrived at the female's side. She was older than him, that was for sure, but she was around the same size as him. For some reason, she was smaller than a cheetah should be. "Please, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mng'arizo."

Syrius Lionwing
Colche almost bolted as he approached her, but his physique was none threatening. Her gentle blue eyes rested upon the young male for a long moment, perhaps she was thinking, she was certainly curious. A name, oh that was his name. She had been alone for a very long time. She smiled, in a half hearted manner, the light of the smile not touching those cold blue eyes "My name is Colche" she bowed her head a little, she really hadn't spoken to anyone, certainly noone of her own kind in such a long time.

"Filthy beast?" her head tilted gently, was there something dangerouns around here? The tip of her tongue peers out from between her lips and her brow furrows in a deep frown."is..this..a..a dangerous place?" her voice squeeked, her words barely above the whisper of the wind.

~Masamune~
Bowing his head politely, he gave the female another smile. "Pleased to meet you Colche." He noticed that she seemed a little skittish, so he took a couple of steps away from her, just to give her her own space. They eventually came to a small clearing, with only a few trees. It was there that Mng'arizo sat himself down, cocking his head curiously as he watched the female. A small chuckle radiated in his throat. "I was refering to the lions that invest these lands. I wouldn't say this is a dangerous place, wel, not for us cheetahs anyway." He smirked. "We are much too fast for any creature that stalks this place.

Syrius Lionwing
((Ika looks amazing! hehe wel I have to go upstairs with my bro cause he wants me to but we can nyekku rp ^-^!! **ish orf work all day and not going any where.**))

Colche relaxed a little when they came to the trees. The darker shade made her physically sigh. She sat, carefully her slender figure slowly resting in the dusty sands. Her ears twitched unhappily though at the mention of lions and her big soft blue eyes went wide "there are lions here?" her voice sounded stressed and she looked around in a manic fashion. "Yes, yes I can outrun them" she mutterd as if lost in her own world for a moment though the fur behind her neck and on her shoulders stood on end. Licking her lips , she relaxed ever so slightly in the shade, the dappled light playing upon her pretty markings "are these your territories?" She asked, perhaps a little suddenly, was she trespassing here? The male didn't seem to mind her presence but some far away memory told her that she shouldn't tread on others lands.

~Masamune~
"There are lions everywhere my dear. They are a disease, a virus of sorts. No matter where you go, they're there, polluting the world with their very pressence." Saying all that, he scowled, shaking his head lightly and with the grace that he constantly tried to show off. "You'll be much better off if you just keep moving, not staying in one place for too long." He hoped that that answered her question about this being his territory. Mng'arizo was constantly moving around, although he would love to settle down someday if he could just find a place free of lions.

(( lol *Pokes Mng as he goes all Agent Smithy* heart ))

Syrius Lionwing
Colche looked to the slightly larger male he certainly held her own sort of beleifs. Her tail twitched and her ears flickered a bit before she spoke again "I..well..I lived in a place free of lions but..well I haeard of..of a place..where..where we live together." she paused, by we she meant cheetahs, her gaze looking off in to the distance. "An avien whispered of it to me, I..well I was lonely..since..since I..I grew" her gaze turned to the ground "I have enjoyed my life alone, but I thought perhaps..perhaps I would be safer if I was with others.." she looked embarressed, shy even, or maybe just frightened it wasn't exactly any emotion she displayed, though the air of lonelyness surrounded her delecate features.

~Masamune~
Mng'arizo found Colche's timidness to be quite endearing. Giving her a reassuring look, he considered for a moment what she said. He had heard of that place too. Run by females appearently, so it wasn't exactly his cup of tea. "Ah yes, the safety in numbers theory. Logical, but at the same time, flawed. Safety in numbers doesn't apply to prey now does it?" He wasn't trying to scare the poor girl, he was just explaining to her the reality that sometimes numbers didn't make a difference.

After sitting in silence for a few moments more, he got to his feet. "I must be going now dear." He motioned towards his right, and then turned back to Colche. "That is the safest way to leave this area. Please, do be careful." He would've escorted her, but in a small way, Colche reminded him a little of himself when his mother cast him out. He had had to learn to fend for himself, and not fear the outside world. This female would have to do the same. "Goodbye Colche." Saying that, he turned and headed back in the direction they had came, to retrieve his snack if it was still there.

(( surprised Heading off for breakfast now, so I thought it would be best to end the RP here so that you can RP Colche elsewhere if you like, rather than waiting for me to continue... heart ))

Syrius Lionwing

Colche's blue eyes watched the receeding back of the white cheetah, she contemplated following him but perhaps she realised that he wished her to make her own way to the cheetah lands. Her ears flattened tightly to her head and after a loment more of laying in the shade of the trees she stood and padded off in the way indicated to her by the white male. She wanted to find the others. Even if she was not comfortable, or welcome there, she wished to find them.

Colche Meets Laio ((fin))

Syrius Lionwing
I'll start since she's a wandering ^-^!))

Colche really didn't know wheer she was going. It hadn't been too long since she had left the white male cheetah but now, well she was lost. She had heard much of this cheetah coalition fromt he birds where she had been living, but perhaps it was just a mith. She never should have left ehr safe home. Her stomach rumbled unhappily as she padded through the whispy grass. Colche was a great huntress, a young adult she was but she was adept at hunting, in her own lands. The lands she traversed now, they were hard to hunt in, her strangely marked pelt makingit so much difficult for her to hide from her prey.

Her dust blue eyes followed the ground at ehr paws, she was usually a very proud looking, if rather shy female, she was awfully skittish, she feard lions above all else. Her mother had been killed by a lion when she was a juvenile, she had walked alone since. Upon becoming an adult though she hadfelt the lust to find iothers of her kind. Perhaps she would be safe and happy wioth them, the life of the solitary huntress no longer made ehr happy, she wished for company, at least, she thought she did. Though fully grown colche was a might smaller than your average adult cheetah, she looked even smaller with her shoulders slumped, maybe, maybe she should just go back home, but which way was that? the gods only knew.

Kel-chan
Laio was prowling the savannah, trotting easily as she pondered. How far, how much land could she realisitcally expect to keep free from them pride-cats and others? With Tomoyo to hunt for, she could not spend long out today, but the young female was curious.

Black-dipped paws picked up the pace as she trotted down a small valley, peering at the dried up grassless bottom. There had been a river there once, would be one again in the rainy season. A smile crossed her muzzle, and she began to set off up the other side.
And caught another scent.

More cheetah? It must be fate, the way she had met so many of her kind here after wandering so long and seeing so few. Perhaps it was something that was just gonna happen, that cheetahs were drawn here?

"Greetings!" She called out, bounding to the top of the slope, muscles bunching under red-furred pelt.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche almost darted when she heard footsteps comeover the rise, was it a lion? Her large blue eyes widened a little, awaiting the beast to breast the hill, waiting for the glimpse then she would run, run as far as she could. The creature that came over the rise though was no lion, it was a cheetah. It was obvious that the golden tan female relaxed physically as she noticed her. she smiled, the scent told her female. Much more trustworthy than male. "Hello" she whispered, her voice rather subtle, a quiet muurr to her voice indecating her nervousness, her shyness to be around others, even her own kind.

Her long tail twitched the grass, and her stomach gave another resounding growl as she looked at the other female "I.." what wa she going to say "UHm..I'm looking.." she had lost ehr train of thought, looking around her ears twitching on end, had she heard something else? No, it was okay "I have heard there is a group of..of cheetahs around here..uhm..do you know where they are?" she blinked, it might not be around here, she could still be completely lost in the middle of no where.

Kel-chan
"A group o' cheetahs?" Laio's white ears flicked backwards in surprise before laughing.

"Stars above, news spreads quick, dunnit!" She trotted to a standstill beside the slightly older female, admiring briefly her markings. "And no need to be so quiet, timid," she said, gently teasing. "I know a bunch of us cheetahs that want to lay claim to this land, make it our own, free of tree-cats and 'yena-dogs and most definitely those pride-cats. But we aren't that many as yet..."

The red cheetah sat down, white striped tail curling neatly around her, dark blue eyes bright. "You travelled far? Y'look hungry," and the female's voice was a little critical.
"You kin call me Laio, by the way," and her voice was off hand, but cheerful.

Syrius Lionwing

"oh.." she looked slightly abashed by the none challant nature of the younger female though, she only looked embarerssed for a moment "I heard it from an avien she stated, though ehr voice was still quiet, her body haunched a little "I find it difficult to hunt the grass lands" she states rather miserably, she had eaten sparcely lately, of mide and rats and rabbits, a hare heer and there, nothing she would usually even bother chasing.

A light smile formed on her face before she spoke again "I was starting to think you were a myth" she puurres softly, her chest echoing in the rumbling sound "I have travelled far from the far borders of the jungles, there are no lions.." she paused ands shivered "there was nothing but I there, at least as far as I knew" she smiled shyly, her eyes turned to the ground she really didn't know how to adress the female, she had so little socialisation even with her own kind.

Kel-chan
[ *will reply to this and Bane and then leave for a while to sort out dinner* xD]

"Well, timid, the hunting's a lot better further in from here, trust me!" Laio smiled widely, getting to her feet again, tail swishing. "And a birdie told you about us, huh?" Her thoughts wandered for a moment; this was portentous. SHe'd have to talk to Sauda; if there were going to be many cheetahs living in this territory, they would need some order, make sure no-one's backfur got ruffled.
"And I can't keep on calling you funny names, stripy! What's your name, if you have one?" Her dark blue eyes were kindly, her manner still strong and cheerful as opposed to the shyness of the beautifully marked older cheetah. "You look like you can hunt with us well.."

Kel-chan
Syrius Lionwing
Colche looked at the brave femme and she smiled, in a rather embarressed manner "Oh..My name is Colche" she whispered her voice a little halting, she ahd kept the name her mother had given ehr as a cub, she had always remembered it. her ears fell softly against her head I'm soprry i didn't mean to be rude" she whispered her head bowing and her tail twitching nervously.

"yes..one of the aviens which visited my copse told me that if I was lonely I should travel this way, that there were many cheetahs here.." she paused, looking a little frightened "I will leave if I am tresspassing" she crouched slightly, her bodily mannerisms always that of submission.

[ I love how Colche's post is a whisper. xD ]

"Hey, you're not trespassing. Not 'tall!" Laio's voice was surprised for a moment, and then anxious. "And sure, you're welcome to stay... you kin help me out, hunting for my friend, and you kin get yer own little spot to call your own, all in cheetah territory!" The last turned into a grand proclamation, before breaking into a giggle.

"To be honest, it's all speculashin at the moment," the cheetah admitted. "But the bit about you staying for however long y'like, that ain't." She danced backwards slightly, tail curling up behind her like a cub's. "C'mon! Y'can tell me about yerself while we go, huh?"

Syrius Lionwing
((tehee the whisper post is necessary!))

Colche stayed still for a long moment, should she run away or follow? The other had said she was welcome. Licking her lips in a slightly nervous fashion she finally stood and taintily padded off behind the other cheetah, her head still hung a little low, her ears flattened in a submissive stance, but her walk was an easy gait. she was a strong creature it was clear too see even though she was small for her size "Yes..i would like to hunt" she whispers, her voice a little clearer now the thought of a hunt from a more covered possition lightening her mood a bit. She stayed quiet as she padded along though, the other female wanted to know her past, wheer she had come from?? there wasn't much to tell really, perhaps she would wait until she was further prompted. "what do you wish to know?" she asked, her voice a little creeky, her throat was becoming dry from all this unnacustomed speach.

Kel-chan

Laio turned her head over her shoulder curiously as they trotted onwards; the slightly older female was barely bigger than herself, for all Laio was a lanky ball of muscles.
"I ent prying, Colche, if you don't want to say, y'don't have to," She said kindly, winking at the beautifully marked other. "Me, I was a wanderer; got lost from my mother and brother, never found 'em again. I've travelled most places, seen a dozen sights, talked to many creatures..." Boasting crept into her tone, but along with it was a hint of sadness. "But I never really had a place t'call my own, you know? So I met some others, by chance... I've stayed around here for a while now."

The redfurred cheetah figured that by telling her own history first, she might put the timid beauty at ease. She knew she herself was not necessarily a great prize, but she was tough, and could hold her own. Even if this female could hunt and support herself well, she was obviosuly not used to other creatures. Her eyes narrowed slightly before chuclking as she remembered that enigmatic Uri fellow. Best be around Colche if he ever came around...

Syrius Lionwing
Colche lifted her head listening to the slightly boastful tones of the younger female she couldn't help but utter a giggle "yes, you look wel travelled" it was the only praise she could think of, though she hoped it wouldn't come as an insult. "I have been on my own for a long time, since i was a juvenile. My mother and I.." she paused ehr brow furrowing "I never knew my father..he was a wanderer, they had a thing.." she shook her head, pausing in thought, silent for a long moment as they continued to walk "I had barely caught my first feildmouse when..when they came" the fur on ehr neck lifted on end suddenly and she looked around in a frightened manner as if these 'they' were behind her once again. She licked her lips in an overly nervous manner, like a rabbit caught in a snare "They killed her, but.but my mother she had hidden me in the tree roots, i watched..they..they just.." she couldn't continue obviously, her neck fur standing up on end flowing all the way down ehr spine to the base of her tail. "When I became an adult I became lonely and the aviens..they spoke..of heer" she paused, looking away, she didn't wish to speak any further, her fur slowly settled and she caught up to the younger female, her blue eyes settled almost like tunnel vision on the path ahead.

Kel-chan
A slightly guilty expression formed on the red cheetah's face, keeping it turned away and silent as she listened. Wow, no wonder the poor thing hadn't wanted to talk about her past. She shouldn't have pushed her...

"Listen, Colche. You'll be safe here wit' us, huh? We're gonna make sure no nasty pridecats gonna find their way into cheetah territory." The idea was solidifying in her head as she spoke the words comfortably; she truly did want there to be their own space, one that other creatures would skirt or seek out as knowing just who's territory it was. A place just for cheetah...

She turned and winked again at the shy female, dropping back so they now trotted shoulder to shoulder.
"I kin use a good hunter around the place, my friend's been ill and can barely hunt... we'll hunt for her together, huh?

Kel-chan

"Hey! We'll take good care o' you, Colche," and Laio danced a few steps forward, smiling lightly. "I was walking around the edges of where I think we can put territory out ta, but now I'll show you where the water is, and perhaps meet the others... at least I can take you to the centre of where we're staying." Her strangely accented voice grew conspiratiorial, and she grinned. "A great hollow tree, an ancient boabab... y'can't miss it, it'll be great as a meeting place."

Edit
The charcoal male was currently making his way from the great boabab - which he'd been having a look at, as it was the heart of this place - to the water. Uri still hadn't met any of the other cheetahs about here, but he'd not really been seeking them out. One was hurt and unlikely to want strangers visiting, and the other he just couldn't find.

He was dying for a drink and secretly hoping Laio'd be about for some more 'witty banter'. She might not have recognised his stunning beauty, but she was amusing. Fun to be around, even.

Syrius Lionwing

Colche padded along beside the redish female, her tail twitching in a still slightly nervous fasion though the thought of water, a nice long drink and perhaps a hunt afterwards sparked her interest. She was happy to walk shoulder to shoulder with the younger female even though she was older, she didn't have the confidence of the younger femme.

The huge tree loomed in to sight before they were too much further and she smiled, what a wonderful thing, a breath of air braught the scent of the cool waters and of other cheetahs to her nose, her eyes flitted upwards spotting the new figure. She once again took a rather, nervous stance, while she kept moving forwards, Laio probably knw the other cheetah, a male by her noses reconing. Her third cheetah meeting, it was frightening to the beautifully marked femme, but if she wished to live here, she had to get used to interacting with them.

Kel-chan
"It's alright, I know this degenerate," Laio nudged her head briefly against the taller female's shoulder. "He's alright, one of us." A smile had lit up her face as she turned to hail the grey and white-spotted cheetah.

"Oy, Uri! How goes it?"

She had enjoyed speaking with him, however annoying and pompous his observations were, because he was fun. However, their banter might be a little.. rough on Colche, so Laio decided with a sorrowful expression flitting across her face that she would try and restrain the cheerful insults.

"Colche, this is a friend of mine, Uri. He's a bit of a charmer, but her's alright, honestly." She peered at the shy female, dark blue mirroring dusty blue. "Trust me, okay?" And she flashed a brilliantly confident smile.

Edit
She was in luck. Uri wasn't completely tactless and the way this...lovely new female beside her held herself gave him a few clues. Her stance, her posture, spoke of someone who didn't need jokes and playfully meant jibes.

"It goes well enough, Laio. Whose this new beauty, hmm...?"

Padding towards them at a casual pace, he offered an honest smile - for once - and tried to stop the further flattery his mind was already suggesting from reaching his lips. Hopefully the reddish female hadn't already denounced him.

...obviously the heat was getting to him. He was actually trying to accomodate others. To counteract this, he curled his tail and held his head at a fetching angle.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche's cool blue gaze rested upon the cocky male, he held himself insuch a way that spoke of him being full of gall. She smiled gently, nodding her head just a touch. Laio's words had calmed her still, knowing the male was a friendly sort helped her timid mind. A little smile came to her lips, though it never touched those dusty blue eyes "My name is colche" she whispered, hoping he was referring to her when he spoke of a beauty, though she didn't really know why he was calling her that. She was small, though obviously built as a huntress, lyth and powerful in her mucles.

"It..It's a pleasure to meet you sir" she whispered, her voice a rather croaky dry muurr, she didn't want to seem nervous, but she had been unable to stop her short stutter. She wanted so, so desperately to get along with the Cheetahs here, already it was prooving difficult though, she just had to try harder, this would be a good thing for her, she didn't wantt o be alone again, it was a sad life being a solitary huntress.

Kel-chan
"Uri doesn't amount to a 'sir'," and Laio nudged Colche playfully, though her voice was kind. " You're as equal as him, okay? Well, we're at the tree... we diverge this way for water now."
She danced backwards, black-dipped paws hitting aup small puffs of dust on the dry savannah ground.
"And are you coming, Sir Uri?" And the way she said it almost made it sound like an underdog position. Her eyes sparkled with the brief teasing, before turnig back to Colche.

"We're going to get some anyway, right Colche?" Laio's voice was confident once more. "We don't even have to share this water with the pride-cats... it's our own water, only preybeasts and cheetah go there. It's as safe as anythin'."

Edit
"Pleasure's all mine Cloche. And she's right you know, we're all equals; if anything females are more important." And within a few sentances his will to please was gone; his white ears flicked back and his head dropped back to a more natural position. Uri chose to slink along a few metres to the side of the female pair. "I was going for water shortly anyway, queen. ...I'd enjoy the company."

Not.

He'd tried to be nice. Not too insulting, not too charming. One day, someone would reckonise how special he was....someone who was special as well and together...worth his effort and time to make happy...maybe...hmm. Lost in his thoughts, he started to drink.

Kel-chan
Laio's face drew forward in a slight frown. Had she offended the unruffleable Uri? She'd never intended to do that.

"And I'm not a queen," she said quietly, her playfullness vanished for a moment. "I was just showing Colche where the water was... I'm sorry if I disturbed ya." Her stance was still as strong as ever, but a brief unhappy look flitted through her eyes.

Syrius Lionwing
"It's safe?" she whispered, lifting her head to look around, there was nothing at this watering hole, a few birds littered about, it didn't reak of the bigger cats urine orcheek scent glands. Padding towadrs the waters edge, she bent beside Uri and took a long, gasping drink, her tongue was dry as the desert sands. For a long minuite she knealt and dran, quenching her thirst, though she started when a bird rustled from the undergrowth nearby. She soon calmed though, looking embarressed, her dust blue gaze falling on the two cheetahs again.

"I'm..sorry i have been on my own too long" she paused, looking around in a skittish manner, laio said there was noone here, just cheetahs. Smiling softly at last she seemed to take this as fact and ehr whole posture seemed to relax.the fur on ehr neck was down, and the sun played along her beautifully marked fur. with her thirst quenched, she was ready to hunt. the elder cheetah looked simply stunning now she was feeling calmer, though she was obviously still a bit tence and worried, the look in ehr dusty blue eyes wass one of quiet pessimism. Perhaps it would fade with time.

Edit
"Don't worry Colche...if anything comes, I'm sure I could distract it being all darkish while you run and hide. Your pelt must give you wonderful camoflague." He turned his head slightly to talk to her, mid-drink. Once again, with the offer being helpful! If this kept up he'd have to leave before he went soft.

Uri sat once he was finished and addressed the younger of the two - despite her having spoken first. His tone was slightly exhasperated. "Laio...I'm sure I mentioned? A Queen in the proper term for a female cat; and rightly so, considering you are the ones who bring new life into the world."

Lifting a paw, he cleaned away a little dust that was turned a few white spots brown. There. He was calming.

Syrius Lionwing

Colche looked between th two, they were obviously friends even in her unsocial eyes. They seemed to her to like to snap at each other. She blinked a few times resting her eyes on the grey male "you would do that?" she asked,a puurr eminating from her chest, an acctual kitty puurr which whispered so sweetlyfrom the dainty female. She smiled once again, that smile starting to touch those dust blue eyes now. perhaps she had come to the right place, these people, they seemed, most wonderful.

Edit
Blinking his light eyes in slight surprise, he turned his attention back to his new aquattence (sp? XD). Uri took a few second to imagine claws rendering such a lovely female - a fellow cheetah! The true elites, the fastest cats around, the lesson common, more gracefuls gods on earth that they were.

It seemed they talked for ever until the sun set that night, they told ehr so much of the cheetah lands and the surrounding area. of the guards and of storytelling of building a place safe for their kind. She slept soundly for the first time in what seemed like an eternity to the little strangely marked female. She knew,s he would sleep soundly from now on.

Colche Meets Davu'Adem ((fin))

Syrius Lionwing
Colche had wandered slightly away from the great tree in the center of the cheetah coalition lands. She had no wish to leave but she couldn't stay curled up at the tree forever, shh had legs after all and should be using them! Her long white tipped tail twitched at the very end as she walked along in that long legged, graceful lope. She wouldn't of course leave the area but she was interested in walking it's boundries, if some what cautiously of course, she didn't want to be attacked by a lion or a hyena. There were of course males patrolling, she had been informed and at least she could run away if she was approached by something frightening. She could outrun anything if only for a short while long enough for a lion to give up chase.

Enough of these thoughts any way. The beautifully marked femme slipped silently in to some long grass, her markings didn't provide her the type of coverage that a normal cheetah would get in the dry grasses but it was cooler between the brittle fronds than out int he blazing sun.

Anando
Laying curled up in a ball, a small adolescent male napped quietly. Being little for his age, the tall grass of the area covered most of his body when he laid down. However, his orangish tint skin stuck out like a soar thumb. He didn't mind, not when he was asleep. It was when Adem was awake when he'd be aware of what type of surrounding he was in. After all, you couldn't be too careful when there were others around, right...?

Davu'Adem was a very light sleeper. When the male heard teh sounds of a much larger creature moving around before him, he awoke with a start, shooting his head up from the tall grass and looking around wildly. There, he spotted another female. It was this he ducked his head back down, perking his ears curiously forward as he inched towards Colche. The other cheetah female he had met hadn't been too bad, so maybe this one wasn't either...?

Syrius Lionwing
Colche stopped mid walk, her tail tip twitched once, then again as she stared in to the deep fluttery shadows of the grass "Who's there?" she whispered, her voice acctually shaking, blue eyes searched and she acctuallylooked frightened. If it was a lion she could run, she knew that,s he could run. Even though she was an adult she too was small, a life alone had made her an extremely dainty creature having had to survive on ehr own from a very young age. She was nervous, especially of lions though she was certainly coming to trust the cheetahs around her.

Her dark nose twitched as she tried to scent out the creature before her but the wind was whispering through ehr fur from behind. Should she say any more? Or wait? She knew somone, or something was there, if it ran at her, if it was dangerous she could run, it was okay, she could run.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche obviously relaxed when she saw it was a cheetah "Oh i thought you were a lion" she breathed a sigh of releif though she still gazed nervously upon the male. Not all chetahs were nice but then, he had no need to attack her. "My names Colche" she stated her voice a whispery, calming muurr. She smiled softly, those dusty blue eyes resting on the young male. It wasn't so long ago that she was taht young, she hadn't really grown an awful lot from her adolecent hood she really was a very slight creature to look at. "do you live here too? In these lands?" she puurred looking partially hopeful or just perhaps curious. there were so manyc heetahs here, it really was their haven.

KasaiLoki
Adem shook his head. "No...Lions are bad..." He said quietly, looking down at his tail as it curled around his legs. "...Colche..." He repeated, slightly louder, finally meeting her dusty blue gaze. See, this wasn't so hard. Talking with others of your species was actually...pretty easy! The small male shook his head, ears drooping at the mention of someone else living in these lands.

"I..i..i didn't mean to intrude." He looked at Colche with a wideeye gaze, as if she were angry that he also was on these lands. "I..I didn't know anyone else lived here." He never did answer the female's question, but you could tell the answer was no just by the way he acted.

Syrius Lionwing
"Oh..uhm You're not intruding" she whispered, laying down slowly. The younger male was obviously as nervous when she was when she came here "Lots of cheetahs live here and from what laoi said everyone is welcome if they are a cheetah, we are safe here" she whispers that gentle blue eyed gaze resting on the young male. "Yes, Lions are..are indeed bad" the fur on her neck physically lifted on end as she said it. Lions were to be feard and hated, avoided at all costs. Licking her lips in a nervous manner she snapped out of her reverie before speaking again "You should come to the great tree, the baobab..uhm I think thats what it's called" she looked a little sheepish, it was just a big tree. "I'm sure you'd be welcome, Adem" she puured quietly, it really wans't her place to offer another cheetah a place in the coalition but she was pretty sure that laio wouldn't object to somone staying.

The slender femmes tail twitched and she was silent once again as she watched the little male "Would you like something to eat?" her answer to most nervous problems was food, food solved everything, normally.

KasaiLoki
Oh thank the lord he wasn't intruding! At least at this little comment, the male calmed down, even if was only at the slightest. "More...?" He refered to others that lived here. Hey, that was a good thing! Maybe he could find his parents...? Highly doubtful, but best not ruin the adolescent's hope, right? "Ar...are you sure it will be alright for me to follow you to the ba..big tree?" He was going to repeat the name that Colche had mentioned, but decided best against it. The big tree worked well; after all, there couldn't be /that/ many big trees around.

Food! He wanted food! Purring quietly, Adem nodded slowly, his stomach speaking for him at the moment.

Colche gave a little airy giggle and got to ehr paws again padding over to the young male she nudged his cheek gently "Oh yes, Laio wont mind at all she's the ruler or leader, or uhm..she keeps us all together any way" she grinns and hops over the little male in a playful manner heading back the way she came "Come I hunted this morning and theers plenty left, no scavanging pride cats or laughing dogs take our food here" Smiling softly she paused for only a moment to check that he was following, her dusty blue eyes shining softly in the bright sun.

Lifting a claw she pointed to the horizon where it was pretty obvious theer was a large dark blob "Thats our meeting place, theres a great pool of water where we can drinka nd eat our fill and rest in the shade" She smiled softly, she had started to much enjoy greeting new faces. It made for many more pairs of ears to listen to her tales.

KasaiLoki
Adem smiled softly, lifting himself to stand. He was only up to Colche's shoulders if you wanted to compare the height. Maybe he would have a growth spurt as he progressed to adulthood? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. "Will...you take me to meet this Laio, s--so I might be able to be apart of this land like all the others?" He asked hopefully, following the king marked cheetah towards her kill.

His eyes scanned over all the places she showed him. After he ate, maybe they could go towards the water and get something to drink. Adem liked this land. If Colche was nice, perhaps all the others she had mentioned as well are nice? "It looks big," He commented quietly, wide eyed still as each passing landmark.

Syrius Lionwing
"Of course" Colche smiled softly, she would gladdly introduce the small male to laio. For once in her time at the coalition, Colche felt suddenly large. She was smaller than most of the other adolecents in the lands or at least the same hight despite being adult. She was so slightly built. "all these lands are ours, the males pattrol around the borders to keep the pride cats and laughing dogs and even the tree cats out of our territory, being stronger and all. We are safe here I know Laio will welcome you" She smiled brightly already the tree was starting to come in to focus, its branches kissing the sky. "My jkills not too far from the tree, I try to keep it close so that if anyone is hungry they can eat. If we wait by the tree though, Laio will come, she usually turns up every day. She's very nice she welcomes all cheetahs heer"

The lithe femmes blue eyed gaze rested on the young, rather nervous male and she leaned over to lick his cheek cleaning away a spot of dirt "You have no need to be afraid here, you'll be safe, I never thought I would ever be safe from those, beasts, but I havn't even seen a sight of a tufted tail since I came here" She smiled happilyspeeding up a bit a jaunt to her step now. "It's the most wonderful place on earth" she whispers with a happy elated sigh.

KasaiLoki
Adem's ears flicked towards Colche as she spoke. His body shifted towards the ground as she said that the males patrolled the borders. Oh no...That wasn't good. I mean, he was small so how could he be one for protecting others from intruders? Perhaps if he joined the coliation, he could be some sort of other posistion? He nodded as she mentioned the food. He was slightly hungry, but he also wanted to meet Laio. Perhaps they could drag the kill back tot he big tree and snack on it while waiting? Oh, that was a good idea!

The adolescent seemed to tense as Colche licked his cheek. The contact was unexpecting from another after being alone since cubhood. However, when Adem would usually just nod and agree with the female lion silently, he actually spoke. "I..I feel safe here." He commented, nodding. "I want to stay here too.." Adem spoke confidently without a stutter.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche smiled softly, trailing off a little to the side they came to some low lying scrub and a small antiliope which was un touched "The trees not too far away we can take it there and eat and drink from the pool" She smiled softly her tail tip twitching "Not everyone patrols of course, some of the males are hunters too" she puurred picking up the antilope by it's throat she started to drag it off towards the nearby tree. It was a huge thing, and everyone knew that there was a female nesting inside with her cubs. But she was not desturbed, just protected.

Colche pulled the beast in tot he shade facing the deep pool and lay down with her frotn paws crossed "eat up" she whispers, waiting for him to wat first, she usually saw to it that anyone younger than her got their fill, full stomachs made cheetahs grow up big and strong.

KasaiLoki
Hmm a hunter posistion didn't sound to bad. After all, Adem was quick on his feet! It'd work! He could help the other hunters trap the beast and tehn some of the others could attack it. He'd be good at that me thinks! He grabbed a piece of the antelope and tried helping Colche drag it towards the tree, he wanted to help somehow as a thank you for sharing it with him. Golden eyes rested on the form of the female as he heard her whisper.

Without a second moment to intake what Colche had said, he began devouring pieces of the carcass. After a moment, the young male would be satiated.

Looking up at the female when he had finished eating, he grinned, licking his maw. "Thank you for sharing it." He said, sitting up straight and cleaning himself.

Syrius Lionwing
The slim femme nodded "Glad to help" she whispered her ears resting gently against ehr head. Short trips certainly made for big adventures. she chuckled softly to herself "The pool is just over theer" she pounted with a claw though the water was clearly visable. "If you would like a drink that is" she states rolling on to her side "I think it is high time for a nap for me" she yawns a wide toothy yawn her limbs and even tail stretching as she nestled down. The kill wouldn't go any wheer and if Laio turned up at least she would be able to welcome the young male while she napped. Colche could acctually sleep here, better than she had any wheer else in ehr whole life.

((I hope you don't mind wrapping I'm gunna head to bed pretty soon I'm really tired. I have this rp logged if you want a copy ofit let me know and thankies muchly for the play time ^_^!))

KasaiLoki
Adem moved over to the pool of water, lowering his head to lap the sweet cool liquid. He lifted his head, tilting it as Colche said she was going to take a nap. He nodded to her, "Good night," He called to her quietly, pawing at the water to rinse the blood that happend to seep to them.

It was only a minute or so later that Adem moved back over to Colche, nuzzling into her back as he laid down behind her, facing away. A nap actually sounded good right about now...and he was interupted from his nap earlier, so without another thought, the young male rested his head on his paws, curling up. Soon, his dreams carried him off to sweet oblivion, for once allowing himself to move into a deep sleep.

((Aww, okays Syr ^^ Thank you for the rp as well! I hope to do it again sometime biggrin ))

Syrius Lionwing
((hehe yesh we play again soonly when i'm more awake I'm like the zombie today XD!))

Colche smiled at the youngster nuzzled in to her sighing gently she let sweet sleep take her away in to a world of happy dreams. It was certainly official, she loved it here.

Colche Meets a wild dog! ((fin))

neokitsune
User Image

The small female pup trotted across the ground boredly. She had wandered a bit from the pack and decided not to go into the water today. She wasn't sure why. She just didn't feel like it. The water today would be FAR to warm for her short silky fur and she didn't feel like being that hot.

A sigh floated from her muzzle as she trotted. It was so hot yet she was so bored. If she really wanted to find something to do she could go swim, since that was the only thing that brought her joy anymore, yet she just couldn't bring her feet to move that way

((Sorry that sucks as a start. >.> )) ninja

((hehe no worries hun))

Colche was in a bit of a daze. Her mind was wandering over one thing or another. She had taken up the possition of story teller within the cheetah coalition. She loved to tell stories, her travells had braught her close to tales of heroism, of past events and of stories all about cheetahs. Of course, unjumbling thema nd getting them out of her mouth was prooving to be a problem. This left her in this dazed mood. She didn't even notice the little wild dog until she was virtually on top of the pup.

The slender femme startled and jumped nearlly a foot back in the direction she had come, standing with her legs straddled and ehr perect blue eyes wide "You startled me" she whispered, her voice a sweet muurrr, though it sounded a little ragged. Wild dogs were small, they shouldn't be feared, yet her heart beat a rythem in her ears. Taking a deep, cleansing breath she smiled gently trying to look brave instead of like a frightened cub. She shouldn't be frightened, it was only a cub after all, and a wild dog. It coud do her no harm.

Kijuni sat silently and watched the grass move in harmony with the wind, it was a lovely day and she felt really upbeat. it wasn't rare to see her in such a positive mood, she was more or less happy all the time.
Slowly, she sat up and licked her green paw with utmost care and cleaned her face, then she proceeded to her ears and did not stop until she was thoroughly groomed. It was an important ceremony for her, grooming everytime she woke up.
She then got up and wandered around aimlessly like she always did... until she spotted one of her kind just ahead of her in a close distance. She had been away from her own kind for so good, in chase of butterflies and all that heavly things. It would be refreshing to get in touch with her roots again. She smiled to herself and slowly walked towards the cheetah, who kij realized was a female just like her. She tried not to make a sound as to alarm the cheetah. When she reached a certain distance she stopped and called out "Hey there! Can I join you?" She tried to give her most charming smile.

Kizaki almost fell over when she saw the cheetah's around her. Where were all of these cheetah coming from? Flattening her small gold, white and teal body to the ground she looked up at the taller cheetah females with large green eyes that shimmered in fear.

"Hello?" She managed to whimper out lightly and she flicked her ears forward slightly. One of the cheetahs had really pretty green fur, the other had really cool golden and black splotched fur. Where were they from? "Kizaki has never met... two cheetah at once before." She said softly. "Only one when she was in the water." That was the problem of course. She wasn't in the water where she could run away when she needed to. She was scared. REALLY scarred.

Scooting back on her hind legs until she almost rolled onto her back from the angle, Kizaki wagged her long tail a little.

Kij slowly purred back "I am Kij, but almost everybody i know calls me Minty!" She giggled "Dunno why" she slowly walked towards Colche "You have such a pretty name! Nice to meet you!" and then suddenly as if shot by an arrow, she realized Colche was not alone... she was with a ... small little dog? She had never seen such a cute little creature in her life! However she had been very rude to this lovely little one.. "I am sorry, didn't see you there little one! Nice to meet you too..." She was now just next to Colche and her friend "I haven't seen you around" she asked both "Are you new?" she tilted her head "..or maybe i have been away too long..."

neokitsune

Large ears flicked up to the air and Kizaki stared at the pair of older females in front of her. They were so graceful and pretty, much like her mother she imagined. Temari could have easily outrun these two, at least the image of her in Kizaki's mind could have done it, though in reality it wasn't further from the truth, cheetahs were so fast, where as Temari was like a a whisp of wind they were a hurricane. Her mother may have been able to keep up with them, if they didn't run full tilt. Kizaki on the other hand was slow and built to swim. So even had she wanted to she would never have gotten away from these two. "Hello." She said shyly to the other. "Um, Kizaki's name is... well, Kizaki, that it is. It's nice to meet you... both." She sat up slowly, her tail wagging a little, though weakly, in the air to show that she was happy and perky. A slow smile curled the teal markings on her face slightly and she closed her eyes happily.
ninja

Colche smiled gently "I live around here. Well, sort of, the cheetah coalitions main base isn't too far away I was just out wandering, I suppose sometimes the feet take you a little furtehr than you mean to go" She smiles a little weakly looking up at the femme. She didn't understand the pun either. "It's a pleasure to meet you kij" she puurred crossing her paws one over the oother as she turned ehr attention back to the pup.

"Thats a very pretty name." She puurred a deep resonating sound which echoed from deep in her chest. "Do you live aroundhere too? Your mother is probably worried about you" she whispered, she always felt such a worry for cubs whom wandered about alone. theer were lions about after all.

chemicalstar

Kij smiled at both the small one and the cheetah "Ah there is a cheetah coalition? may i ask what it is?..." she tilted her head rather confusedly "do so many cheetahs live around here?" ah she should have been away so long, living the life of a rogue.. but that sure was fun... she loved learning new things... and cheetah coalitions really attracted her attention...
she the turned to the small really prettily colored cub "ah yes your mother should be really worried! would you like us to take you back to her? it isn't exactly safe for such a small one as you around here" and then she whispered to the cheetah "this cute one isn't a hyena right? hyenas always seems to have a bone to pick with me... i dont know why" she smiled wearily "well this one looks too cute to be a hyena anyways" she had a soft spot for all small things...

((thank you for the lovely rp, i need to run off now, have an ib exam tomorrow! please do wish me luck*huggles*))

((*Salutes and types*))

"Pretty name? Kizaki's name is pretty?" The small pup flicked her ears up a little and wagged her tail a little bit more. The cheetahs didn't seem to be that mean, in fact the first one she met seemed to be almost motherly. This warmed Kizaki's heart to her right away and she wagged her long tail a little harder, her tongue lolling out of the side of her long muzzle. "Mom won't be worried about Kizaki, that she won't. She's watching all nine other pups, that she is. She probably thinks Kizaki is swimming, Kizaki is the strongest of all the pups in our pack, that she is." the little pup crowed about her achievments in swimming and burning off all of her baby fat long before the others did. She was as lithe as her mother yet somewhat larger boned. Her mother was thin and gentle boned, she was bulky.
ninja

Colche smiled lightly "You should still be careful little one there are pride cats and laughing dogs around here. they could kill you." She frowned softly, her tail tip twitching as she heard the question fromt he mint coloured female. "I belive she's a wild dog" she laughed gently her dusty blue eyes resting on the little pup "still, you shouldn't stray too far. I'm sure if your mother lost you she would be devestated."

neokitsune

"Well, mother says that she used to wander because she lost her memory and can't remember her family. Did that happen to you?" Kizaki asked in a soft voice, she may have been a cub, but she knew that she didn't want to offend this older cheetah. She should bite her tongue and not be as blunt or sarcastic as she always was. "Well, it is true. Her mother has nine other little ones that she watches over, many of which aren't even her kids. Kizaki falls through the cracks, especially when it comes to the 'princess', though Kizaki swore to watch 'princess' with her life." The little pup sneered as she said the word princess. She did like Twawa, but she hated her at the same time. Her attitude was so snobbish that Kizaki couldnt' stand it.
ninja

Colche's ears drooped No little one I lost my mother when I was very young, she was brutally murdered by lions. you should be thankful and I assure you, she would miss you if you vanished" With that said Colche stood. "Run home to your motehr little one and be glad you have one" The delecate cheetah turned then, heading back towards her home, the great treein the center of the cheetahs territory. She suddenly longed for the company of her own kind, of a female whom perhaps she could tell her woes too. the little pup had struck her heard. Such selfishness perhaps in ehr oppinion. It was a blessing to have a mother, to wish to leave her so young was almost sacriligious to the king marked femme.

neokitsune

Kizaki raised her eyebrow again and shook her head. She was far too young to completely understand that the pain of a person that lost their family would scar you for life, yet at some point in her long future she would find out. But for now she didn't know that as she turned and trotted back home as the cheetah Colche had told her. She might not have understood why Colche hurt, but she felt for her all the same. Stopping in her tracks she turned back in the direction of the retreating cheetah and let out a long mournful howl to guide the cheetah home. She was young, but her mother and her brothers had taught her to howl like she was grown. Somewhere she had heard that the howl of a dog or a wolf could guide you to the part of your heart you didn't know exsisted. Maybe this would help Colche? Maybe it would help herself.

A little chat with Uri and a greeting with Korou ((fin))

Syrius Lionwing
((**snuzzles meepy and gives piggy slippers**

Colche lay quietly in the shade of the great tree, the light which dappled over her ur made her virtually invisable to anything she was hunting. She had hunted already that morning though and the remains of a small antelope wern't too far away. It was a feast far too large for herself, it could easily feed three or four Cheetahs. Her dust blue eyes were closed to the world as she lay there, more relaxed than she had been for days, weeks even. Her journey from ehr own home to become one of the cheetahs in this new 'coalition' was frighteneing for her.

She had settled down pretty swiftly though she still moved in ragged, worried patterns when she was alone. The others were pretty much always about some wheer though so she had allowed herself a moments silence. That of coruse didn't mean that she wouldn't be on her feet in an instant should she hear the foot falls of the pride cats. She was very frightened of them, very frightened.

Edit
Uri, unlike Colche, was not so very frightened by the lions - those his slip into calling them 'pridecats' was rather annoying him. So eqsy to pick up bad habits, no? He was just on his way back from watching the coalitions neighbours.

He wanted to know what kind of lions they were and so fa, had been pleased to note this 'Mufasa' seemed to be of a good sort. Swiftly and without paying any attention to the meat nearby, the smokey pelted cat went to his perch on a rock right up close to the boabab tree. A stoney throne for a beautiful prince.

neokitsune
The little cheetah cub trotted through the long grass, his black and orange fur making him stand out. His wounded front leg making him vulnerable. Yet he was wandering, he had wanted to see the world, so he had let Zakiya and Tama sleep for a bit and had gone to see it. He could smell different things all over the place. Some of them lions, that thought made him angry. He didn't fear them, but he did hate them. They had killed his only friend and blinded him in one eye. Ripped up his left front leg and made him a weakling.

He wanted to run, but instead he kept trotting until he saw something. A cheetah on a rock, a light grey one. He looked really big, who was he? So Korou, Zakiya and Tama weren't the only cheetahs in the world? That was a new fact. Of course he should have known that. But whatever. He kept sniffing and walked near the other cheetah warily, trying to make a lot of noise in the grass and rocks. He didn't want to be killed for starteling his elders.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche had sat up the second the c**k sure uri had come close enough for her ears to hear him. Her long tail flickered and she smiled upa t the Grey male. For somone younger than her, he sure was brave, and handsome, she even thought perhaps he was laois mate, they seemed to get on so well. Shaking her head her dusty blue eyed gaze was taken towards an approaching figure. It was far too small to be a lion, even a cub, though itdidn't walk like a cheetah with that gentle, elegant lope, her nose told her cheetah so she relaxed a bit.

She was meeting new cheetahs all the time, they came they went, they relaxed and fed here. This approaching cheetah was new to her and she turned her dust blue eyes upon Uri with perhaps a question in that inocent blue gaze. She expected Uri to know everyone, he seemed to have been heer a long time.

neokitsune
((@Masa: Yes. ^__^))

Korou tried not to shrink to the ground from the older cheetahs. They didn't seem to be mean, but at the same time, the little cub was skiddish. The smell of food didn't seem to call him as much anymore thanks to Zakiya having fed him not that long ago. So he was quite content.

"I'm Korou. I'm sorry, but where are we?" He asked innocently. He really wasn't sure. And if these large cheetahs knew then he would be happy. Not that he was going back for a bit, but still. He was trying to memorize his surroundings for later.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche's long tail twitched, only at the tip. She smiled lightly, it was a cub, an injured cub. The careing side of her kicked in and she smiled lightly at the younster "I don't know Uri, it's only a cub" she whispered getting to ehr paws, for a fully grown cheetah she was very delecate, even by cheetah standards, she was sleek and fit obviously, though she had an airt of doubt and worry about her which was easily detected by the cautious way she moved.

"I'm colche and the big male up there is Uri" she stated simply, her voice a quiet whisper, she was a very undecerning creature, her head held at a slight slump though her eyes glimmered softly in the sunlight and her pelt sparkled with a lustre of health "You're uhm.." Colche paused and giggled a little sheepishly "I never thougth about it." she looked to Uri for support, wheer were they exactly? Cheetah coalition central? what was this place called?

neokitsune

((It's okay Edit. ^___^))

The smaller cub watched as the female walked towards him and shivered a bit. He noticed that she moved with the same grace that Zakiya did, only she was a little bit smaller than his foster mother. Her fur made him wince a little from the light and the way it looked. He was so used to sucking up the sun with his that he just hadn't seen it reflect. It was neat.

"Hello. You're pretty." Korou's tail wagged happily. He didn't know where he got that from, but it got his feelings across. A smile crossed his small face and he sat and pulled his left paw up off of the ground. He had to rest it occasionally after all.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche smiled softly, her dusty blue eyes smiled and she gave an ever so gentle laugh before she lay back down before the cub, her tail swaying gently as she met with the youngsters eyes "Well thankyou" she replied though she looked a little shy about being called pretty. She had always considered ehrself as nothing special, though upon arriving in the cheetah coalition she hadn't seen anyone else with her particular markings, whey were unique in a way she supposed. "You're very cute yourself" she smiled serenely looking at the little cub lift his paw "Why don't you come and rest in the shade for a while? Are you alone?" her brow creased at the word alone, she had been alone her whole life, she never wanted to be alone again. Her tail tip twitched once again trying to chake those old memories. "Or is your mother near by? Are you hungry?" she paused, was she asking this cub too many questions? She didn't want to scare him.

neokitsune
A bright grin crossed his face as Korou nodded to her. "My foster mom is a little while behind me. She's nice. She and my brother Tama are asleep though. I was alone before that after the lion killed my friend." He sighed a bit and smiled at her sweetly, as if he had any other kind of smile. She seemed a little worried after she asked if he was alone. He didn't want to worry someone so pretty. So he limped up and licked her nose happily and mewled out.

"Shade is nice, my black fur gets hot." The little cub nodded his head.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche smiled lightly watching the cub go. Upon the mention of lions killing his friend though she looked around to double check there wern't any about. Nodding a little she followed the limping cub to the shade. She didn't wiash to seem unduely worried about him but his poor pawseemed so tender.

She paused for a moment and went to get her kill, dragging it in to the shade before she lay "Come and eat something" she whispered, gettign a very protective feel towards the youngster. She had lost her mother to lions, she had lived her life alone after that only recently discovering the urge to find others of ehr kind and perhaps settle down without fear of the bigger cats. "I hope your mother does not think you lost" she stated her gentle puurr echoeing from her chest as she waited for the cub to come and rest with her and eat something. Colche had never felt motherly before, but this cub braught out all those strange tingly, broody feelings, she didn't quite understand.

neokitsune
Korou smiled at her. He had been with Zakiya for a little while by now, so he knew that she would sleep until well in the morning. She didn't wake up after she went to bed in the late afternoon. Not that Korou could blame her. He just had so much energy compared to both Tama and his mother. So he needed to get rid of it, and running around by himself was one way to do it. Colche seemed nice though, a lot like Zakiya in a way. It made him smile and he nuzzled her for a moment before laying beside her.

The food in front of him made his mouth water. He leaned forward and sniffed whatever it was lightly before biting it and pulling off a piece. His jaws worked over it until he had eaten the entire piece, then he looked up at Colche. "No, she'll sleep for a little while, at least until tomorrow morning. She likes to move during the day, her and Tama both." His tail wagged lighlty and he laid his head down lazily.

Colche smiled lightly, her dust blue eyes glistening softly "Well, I hope she isn't worried about you not being there. Yoou know there are lots of bad things about." she nudged behind his ears and groomed his head for a moment while he sat chewing, her own silence because of her licking. She stopped when he layed his head dopown and tilted ehr head "you don't eat much do you?" she laughed softly a sweet little tinkly laugh before taking up grooming the little male again, he had dust in his fur, even if he couldn't see it she could smell it, she would just groom him a little, he wasn't very duirty after al his mother obviously doted on him.

neokitsune
That licking felt good on his head. He didn't know why she felt that she needed to, Zakiya did the same thing though. So maybe it was just what adult females did to little ones? Or maybe it wasn't and he was just being delusional again. He didn't know much. Her laugh was nice too.

"She might worry, but I should get back before she wakes up. She's nice, so I don't like to worry her. As for eating, no not really. I can't eat much at once anymore. I went for a week and a half without food and then I just couldn't." When he said it it sounded so dumb and naive. He knew from that sentence that he wasn't that grown up yet.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche stopped licking him and nudged his side a little playfully. You will learn to eat again, you should eat lots while you'reyoung so you grow up big and strong like Uri" she smiled gently, though theer was a ltitle laughter in her voice. She doubted he heard her. "your tummy will expand again in time just eat a little mroe every day." She knew from experience what not eating as a cub would do to you. She was a good example of somone whom hadn't eaten properly as a youngster. She was small and delicate, though she remembered her mother was a large female she had never grown that way.

neokitsune
((*Snuzzles Hime happily for the pic* ^___^))

Korou toppled playfully to his side and used his small little paws to bat at her shoulder lightly. He didn't want to hurt her, he just wanted to play. "It will? Well, that's good I suppose. I think I'm gonna be small though." He said to her looking at his tiny paws compared to her larger body. Compared to Zakiya she was small, but at the same time she didn't look like she needed to be any bigger.

His tail thrashed happily and he sniffed at the meat again, debating whether he should try to eat or not. She said he would stretch his stomach out in time, should he try eating more than he normally did?
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche nudged his bottom playfully and smiled "don't push yourself but a little more every day wuill help you to grow up big and strong" she stretched her claws out patting playfully at his tail, a smile in her soft blue eyes. She was enjoying being around the cub. he was cute and playful. it had been a long time since she had played. She was a young adult but she had not played since her mother had passed on.

A gentle sigh escaped the pretty lips and she smiled. She had missed out on being a cub, she had missed the play times, the times when hunting wasn't as important as your mothers flickering tail. "You'll see I'm sure you will be a big male when yuo grow up" she puurrs, she liked to beelive that of everyone, big and strong and fast, the way a cheetah should be.

neokitsune
Korou spun and nuzzled her happily. "I'll try and be big." He focused and screwed up his face in an attemt to will himself into being larger at that exact moment. It didn't work out so well. Just made his stomach fight him for a moment. "Oh well. I tried." He laughed and licked on her ear before chewing lighlty on it. He wanted to play, but she was so much bigger than Tama.

"You know a lot." He told her happily as he chewed lighlty on her ear, not trying to hurt her. She looked a little sad for a moment. Korou didn't like to see others be sad, so he wanted to make her not be. He rested on top of her and licked the top of her head happily.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche laughed quietly, her gentle giggle echoing through her body with a puurr. She smiled happily turning her head to n** playfully at his cheek. she knew how to play, she remembered how her mother had played with her. Of course she stayed still while he groomed ehr head "it takes time to grow" she puurred, her dusky blue eyes turning to look at the little cub. She needed to take a page from his book and be more happy, remembering the past was doing her no good.

Her tail tip swished in a long, playful manner, she didn't usually swish her tauil, the tip, the very tip twitched often but she never really swished. This was a playfum movement though, something for the obviously active cub to pounce without her hurting him. She sighed softly, though it was a happy sigh, she had neevr felt so broody as she did with this cub around her.

neokitsune
Korou sucked lighlty on her ear before rolling over himself off of her. Her tail had moved hadn't it? That was good, something that cubs did with one another. She was happy, however little it was, she was cheered up. Korou flashed a bright smile at her and extended his little claws into the dirt beneath him. He always had fun doing that before. The last time he had done it was right before he had been attacked by that lion. That had been the reason he hadn't been able to dodge.

Now he felt comfortable enough to anchor himself down again. What had changed over the past week to do this to him? Had it been meeting Zakiya and Tama and Colche? Was that it? It most likely was. He hadn't been this playful in a while.

((sorry this took ages I phased >_
Colche watched the little male with a gentle, motherly smile on her lips, her paw tapped out and nabbed his tail, before she eant forwards and licked his bottom. She grinned playfully, rolling on to her side, one paw cgoing up in a doggy, play with me fashion. She pured and tilted ehr head, she lookec omical, like a big kitten rolling in the dust waiting to be pounced. of course, the kitten that was doing the pouncing was alot smaller than her, but she wouldn't hurt him, it was fun to play, especially with cubs, she was learnign rather swiftly.

neokitsune
((It's okay Syrius. XD I was just wondering if you missed it or something.))

With a giggle and a pounce, Korou landed on her lightly, watching his leg as he nibbled gently on her leg. He took a few swipes at her and purred louder than he ever had before. Abandoning her leg, he licked at her large paws. He was amazed by how much bigger this larger cheetah was than him. Her paws could cover his small head easily. How was she so gentle? He would be afraid that he would crush things as big as she was.

Colche stayed laying on her back, all four of her furry paws on the air. she batted playfully at him, not acctually touching him he gnawed at her legs. Her tail flickered and she scooped the youngster up and licked his face before resting him on her chest. "I havn't played in a long time" she puurred, her voice a happy little whisper.

neokitsune
She spoke softly too. It wasn't weird, just curious. Korou wondered why. He flicked his ears forward and licked the end of her nose again playfully. "You should play more often. It's a lot of fun." His tail wagged happily and his eyes closed in a smile. He was actually forgetting his pain in his body and his blindness in his eyes. It was amuzing really. He hadn't expected to have it happen so fast.

Syrius Lionwing
Colche gave another airy sigh and rolled over on to her side, being careful to set the cub down carefully so that he was laying on one of ehr forelegs "yes it is" she smiled gently and licks his ears "You should be making your way back to your mother now though, she will think you lost and eaten by lions" she nudges his tail and for the first time in her life she felt brave "Perhaps I should come with you, just to be sure you get home safely" she looked at the little cub, she felt brave for him, she wanted to make sure he was okay that he got home to his family safely, even if his mother was some way away. Perhaps she couldn't protect the little cub much, but if she could save his life if he was in danger it was certainly worth the sacrifice. She had neevr felt that way before, she felt some what proud of herself. Licking his face one more time, she cleaned his furry ears for a few more moments, making sure he was rpedentable for his mother. She didn't want the other female to think she had been miss treating the youngster.

((hehe neo can we continue this tomorrow? I need to head orf to bed *hugs* I have the whole rp logged in word so we can just continue where we left off here tomorrow ^_^!!))

((XD *Responds*))

Korou smiled at her and wagged his tail again and leaned into her tongue on his head. She was nice. It seemed that she didn't want Zakiya to be worried, though he knew that his mother wasn't awake entirely yet.

"Well, she'll get up in a few hours, and the place we're sleeping at isn't so bad right now. Only about an hour or two's walk from here. I like to explore." A grin crossed his face and he flashed a big toothy grin at her. "But if you want to come with me it could be fun." H

He hadn't traveled with anyone other than Zakiya and Tama for a long time. this could be intresting.

Colche smiled lightly, her dusty blue eyes gazed at the horizon, her tail, long and slender twitched at the very tip as she got to her foot paws. "Yes, I will walk with you" she whispered, puuring gently as she nudged the little cub in a playful manner "You must be careful wondering off alone though, you're very Lucky to have wandered in to the Cheetah's coalition lands, a little further that way is lion country, the pride lands" she licks her lips distastefully, her ears flattening against ehr head though they soon perkedagain. "Come on, lets get you home, We want you there when your mother awakens"

((hoom I think i need food but I'm not sure XD!! weird XD!))

((I keep getting yelled at by my boyfriend and roomate to eat. XP))

"Lions?" His ears went flat at that. He didn't like them, was scared of them really. Maybe he was lucky to have run into Colche when he had. She was nice and she seemed to like cubs. He would miss her if he didn't get to see her again. But he was sure that once he was grown and could run around on his own. Could really run again, then he would meet up with her once again.

That would be nice. For now though, he would lead her to his home, or at least to the cave that they called home right now. His tail wagged agian and he trotted ahead of her and turned to wait.

(( I just dunno if i'm hungry it's weird XD!))

Colche nodded softly, she sighed "Yes, but it's safe here, there are lots of other cheetahs, they are cheetah lands" she smiled softly, nuzzling his ears with a gentle touching affection. "Perhaps your mother will bring you here, it is safe here after all" she stated, her long tail twitching once again. She had a deep want to see the cub was safe and secure, if that meant leaving the Coalition lands for a while, that was fine by her. His mother sounded the nice sort, she was worried she would think the youngster gone for ever.

Shaking her head she nuzzled the youngsters ears and started to walk the direction he had come glancing back to chek he was there beside her. "you will have to keep me on the right path, i don't know which way yuou came" she gigglesd softly, her face a gentle sweet smile.

neokitsune
"Cheetah lands? Our kind have lands like a lion has? That's kind of cool." Korou admited. He would need to come back here and visit Colche again then. Once he was old enough he knew that he would. He couldn't stay with Zakiya forever, after all, he did want to run with the wind. To see other things and creatures. He had heard that there were good lions out there, maybe when he was old enough he could meet one. He had met a god not that long ago, that had been fun.

"Follow me then." He smiled again and swished his tail as he trotted ungainly towards the direction of the snug little cave.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche nodded softly, "Yes i travelled here not too long ago to live here. To be safe from lions" she smiled and followed after the cub, her pace was slower than usual, a soft, wolfs lope, ehr head held high and allert her mucles moving in a most graceful fashion. She was a very beautiful thing to look at, her coat shimmering in the sun showing off those beautiful yet strange markings. Her gaze followed the cub, watching trhe clear blue horizon. She wondered when the rains would come, if they were close or not. Sighing gently, it didn't matter too much really, the game beatss were still plentyful for the moment. She had little to worry about really.

neokitsune
((I have to skip out to bring lunch back for a bit Syrius. I'll respond to your next post in like a half an hour. xd *Plots to get a burger and bring it back to eat*))

Korou nodded to her, that sounded like a good idea. Cheetahs didn't have that much to fear from lions unelss a lion got it in their head that they wanted to take food from them. Then it was bad. Of course he had been told that by his friend that had been killed saving him from a rouge lion that had attacked them. But he was trying his hardest to keep those words in mind and not hate all lions.

He trotted a little slower than Colche did, though he wished he was faster. She looked like she would be fun to race when he grew up, with all of her litheness and speed. Her markings weren't so bad either. All around he had found a pretty friend. He supposed that he should tell her that, though he might have already. He just didn't know.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
((hehe okies neo!))

Colche smiled down at him. Unlike the little cub she feard lions. Her mother had been killed by lions and she would have died too if she hadn't been well hidden. She knew this for a fact though she never spoke to anyone of her past really. She had told laio, but she doubted anyone else needed to know. Looking back a little, she slowed her pace to meet speeds with the youngster, she didn't want to leave him trailing, she knew she could be a swift walker.

neokitsune

Korou smiled at her, "And here I thought I was leading." He laughed. She seemed to be thinking sad thoughts again. He could tell she did that a lot. Not that he didn't as well, but still. So sad. Making it up to her side, he smiled warmly at her again and wagged his tail brightly. He wondered if it had to do with how she got here? Maybe she had lost someone to a lion like he had.

Otherwise why would she go to a place where there were none? That made sense in his head and he nodded to himself. It was a good theory. It didn't matter. He wouldn't ask her, if something happened it wasn't his business because he wouldn't be around her much longer sadly.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche looked at the little one and sighed softly, "are we far away?" she asked, a quiet gentle loook in her eyes, she almost regretted that she would have to say good bye to the cub, perhaps she would meet him again one day, or perhaps even his mother would bring him tot he coalition. She ahd enjoyed her time immencely with the youngster. She nudge lightly at his shoulder with her nose "so did I I don't want to get lost after all" she puurred jumping over him in a joyous manner, giving a little giggly laugh as she did so, she wanted to keep ehr spirits up, being sad and remembering th epast did her no good.

neokitsune
This was good, she had jumped over him playfully. He knew that trying to cheer up an adult made him seem a little old for his age, any other cub wouldn't have cared. Maybe he seemed old for his age, but Korou didn't care. He liked her as a friend.

"Well, we have a little more ways to go. Sorry, I tend to wander pretty far off when the others are sleeping." A sheepish grin crossed his face and he batted at her tail as she moved a little ahead of him. She was in better spirits. "Don't worry, I won't let you get lost. I know my way."

He had wandered far to long to not know that he had to leave little marks to find his way back. If he didn't see one for more than ten minutes then he was headed in the wrong directiion and he would turn around. That's how he worked.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche laughed quietly eyeing the little cub. he seemed rather more sensible than she even. "I'm starting to think you are older than you look" she whispered dancing around him a bit. She was enjoying this little journey even if she was nervous of being away from the coalition. She paused for a moment to nudge his bottom playfully before she leapt over him again, she seemingly had springs on her heels now she had decided to just be happy and playful around this cub.

"Maybe your mother will bring you to visit me in the coalition lands, I would like that" she puurred, her blue eyes dancing in a joyful manner, her tail tip twitching as usual.

neokitsune
Oh, a visit would be so nice. He would love to see his new friend again. Korou started to purr happily as he trounced along with her, occasionally taking a swipe at one of her paws or her tail. She was fun to keep up with after all, it was just sad that they were nearing the end of their journey. He almost wanted to just move past the cave and keep going. But he knew that he could never leave his mother or his brother now. Not after being with them.

"I'd love to visit you again. And I'm sure my mom would enjoy it." His tail swished as he walked. "Yeah, you're not the first to say that either. I get that all the time. I blame losing my family before I can remember them."

Syrius Lionwing
((uh yeah klipspringers XD!! trheys all deers aint they? XD!! **flups**))

Colche smiled softly, looking at the little cub she padded along beside him once again "I lost my mother when I was your age" she whispered, "perhaps a little older, I remember her in my dreams though" she puurred, happy to pad beside him, she didn't want to exhaust the poor youngster, he seemed to have travelled quite a ways to get to the coalition grounds. She hoped he wold never wander in to trouble on these little excursions.

neokitsune
Korou glanced at her. "You as well? I can't remember my mother, well, my real one at least. I lost them in a monsoon. Then the only friend I had got killed by the same lion that got me." He laughed bitterly and shook his head. "I don't like lions so much, but I hear that there are some that aren't so bad. And my friend liked them, raised one once too. So I guess it would be a disgrace to his name to hate them."

He looked ahead of him and saw a little rize in the ground. Home, well, home for now at least. His cave where Zakiya and Hinotama were sleeping. He wondered if he should bring Colche up the entire way or just stop somewhere close? Zakiya might wake up to a larger cheetah, where as she wouldn't for just him.
ninja

Syrius Lionwing
Colche smiled softly, the scent of cheetahs close by came to her nose and she paused. "It seemd you're nearly home" she whispers, pausing and sitting. "You're a very wise cub, perhaps you should stop thinking such adult things though and enjoy your youth, you are lucky to have somone to care for you, play and be merry while you can" She smiled gently and licked his furry ears "run home yto your mother little one and I hope you do come and visit me one day" she smiled, remaining seated, a gentle look on her face though she sighed inwardly, was she to loose her little friend so quickly? She did hope he would come and visit her.

neokitsune
He didn't want to leave. So he sat for a bit next to her. "Thank you, but if I was so wise I suppose I would never have been where I was to lose a friend. But I suppose you're right. I might as well enjoy it while I have it. I don't plan on staying with my mother and brother forever after all." A sad smile crossed his face and he looked back at the cave again. He should go, really he should. But he had just met a new friend.

He knew he'd see her again, at least he hoped he would. To lose her so fast was rather annoying though. He hoped it wasn't always this way. Sighing he stood and licked her nose again.

neokitsune
"I promise, and i really hope that we meet again. I know I wouldn't mind. Maybe when I'm older or something I can come here again. It would be nice to rest in lands that belong just to cheetah." He nodded to her and turned, trotting to his cave with his tail swishing as he walked. Meeting Colche had brightened his dim day up quite a bit really. He would miss her.

But he swore that he'd see her agaian.

Colche sighed softly, her blue eyes twinkled softly in the bright sun. Once he was out of sight from her gaze though she stood and turned around. She had no need to hunt again today, a run would do her good. In a flash she was away, a bolt of lightning back towards the great tree and the coalition. She hoped as she ran that the youngster would walk this path again, perhaps he would, she would like to see him again.

A race with a wild dog! ((fin))

Where was she? It was a question she asked herself often these days. the pull at her tail informed her that home was thataway but she wasn't headed for home,s he was out looking for, for what? She wasn't sure it was just, something. Her pilgramage to her motehrs grave was long over yet she hadn't returned to the coalition lands insetad she had deemed her slender body worthy of wandering.

Colche was always a small creature, even by cheetah standars she was small and delecate, her frame work genteele in it's disspossition. Stills eh walked with the grace of all cheetahs her head high, her paws taking th emiles in a gentle beautiful lope. Still she needed to rest and a comfortable looking tree provided shade. Slipping in to the shadows she lay with her forepaws crossed gazing out at the horizon. What was she looking for?

Kimaria
Unlike Colche, Uzushi knew exactly what he was looking for: the place where rainbows were born. Yet sadly rainbows held no scent and did not linger in the sky long enough for him to follow. They moved position, sparkled and swept the sky with their arching beauty. Yet never had Uzushi been swift enough to find it's end.

Never mind. This wasn't enough to put him off of his search and so he continued to look for clues on where to find this haven he longed for.

It was on this search near his parent's lands that he caught the scent of a stranger, and being the curious type that he was Uzushi approached.

He was naive to danger and trotted out, yipping a greeting as he came into view. "Who's there? New friend for me to meet?" His voice chimed up cheerfully.

Colche lifted her head when a young males voice interrupted ehr thought pattern. Black tipped ears twitched and she smiled lightly. A wild dog. she had no need to fera wild dpgs and certainly a sinle pup copuld do her no harm. Hadn't she said taht ebfore thougha dn now she was on this journey because a pup had reminded her of ehr mother.

Shaking her head of the memory she smiled gently at the youngster. she could hold no grudge against a creature she had never met after all. Her long tail twitched at the very end and she stiffled a yawn as she greeted the youngster "Hello there" she whispers her voice a gentle fruity puurr which echoed from depe in her cavernous chest.

Kimaria
"Oh!" Uzushi gasped, "I know what you are! You're a cheet-urr. I met one of your kind before." He beamed proudly and took a few more steps forward, stretching his neck to sniff at the tip of her tail. "All spotty and purty, your patterns make me dizzy." He gave another small excited yip and wagged his tail.

"Do yous live here?" He question, peering around, "I not smelt you round 'ere before and this is close to where my papa and mama live. Thet are the pack alphas but I'm not the heir. No. That's my brother. I have four brothers and one sister yah know! So it was unlikely I'd be the eldest. Though I don't mind because I get to go 'splore whenever I want to. Though pa said I had to be careful cos of the hoo-man thingies which apparently took a pup from our pack. I never seen them around though. Have you?"

He paused for breath and looked suddenly completely exhausted. "I'm Uzushi'bueta." He added as an after thought, "though you can shorten it in whatever way you like. I don't mind."

Colche smiled, she giggled at the pups enthusiasm and flickered ehr tail so that it tickled the end of his nose. "Indeed I am a cheetah. My name is Colche" She paused for a moment looking at the yioungster as he babbled out his lifes story. She was a listening ear and children always amused her. they filled a little place in her heart when they were around.

"I'm afraid I don't live around here no" she mused at last when he finally stopped speaking, what a wonderful little creature he was. Smiling softly she gave a gentle purur once again as she spoke "I love int he coalition lands, they arn't too far away from here though at the moment I am a wanderer." The slender cheetah padded playfully at the little pups paws a grin her sweet eyes. She did so enjoy playing with children even though she had none herself. they filled a little gap inside her. perhaps, perhaps thats what she was journeying for. perhaps.

Kimaria
(( okay Sy! ))

"Ah I thought so, my nose is good at smelling out new friends and old ones and it never smelt you before." He wrinkled his nose and almost sneezed as her tail tickeld it. Then twitching forwards his big ears he beamed and gave another small yip.

He raised his paws as she padded at them and ended up in a bouncing fit, leaping about this way and that as if he had springs attatched to his paws.

"Nice to meet 'cha Colche!" He squeaked, wagging his tail fiercely as he moved from side to side in a rather puppy fashion. He was getting older but he'd always be the playful little pup no matter what age he was.

"Do cheetahs know how to play games?" He questioned, pausing in his bouncing to catch his breath.

((back sorry for the wait mums making me do chores im still here but i'll be slow on the reply!))

Colche chuckled softly. "Of course we do, we kno how to tell great stories too" She smiled softly watching the youngster bounce. she remembered joyfully being his age having springs attached to her paws jumoping every where instead of walking. Still watching him made ehr giggle softly. he was so cute.

"Of course, we cheetahs like to race" she grins cheekily "racing is our most favorite of games but after wards we sit and rest and tell each other stories about the past and the future of myths and ledgend." she stretched out her front claws "woudl you liek to race/" she giggles softly, she would go easy on the pup it was always nice to let youngsters think they couldbeat a cheetah in a race.

Kimaria
Racing? Uzushi had never heard of that before! Pouncing, chase, hide and seek yes, but never racing!

"I like stories, stories are fun indeed! I like listening and telling but there's not many people around who can listen or tell them. I don't stick around the pack much. It's boring there and..." He shook his head, realising he was going off tangent. "But yes, racing! What's racing? Is it very fun? Is it some special, secret cheetah game?" He tilted his head questioningly.

Colche stood slowly her long slender limbs stretching and relaxing as she did so. the tendonds around ehr fopre legs and the mucles in her upper body tencing "It's really quite simple" She smiled gently "Do you see that tree over there? You run to it, turn around and run back and see who's the fastest. I't a very old cheetah game" She chuckled softly "In the rainey season we get together and race each other to decide whom is the fastest cheetah of them all. it's very competetive but alot of fun."

She smiled wistfully, there hadn't been a cheetah race for as long as she had been alive but she had heard of their stories, how many cheetahs gathered and both males and females pitted their limbs against each other in their greatest of games.

Kimaria
Uzushi listened to her instructions and nodded thoughtfully, a smile parting his maw as he absorbed this new game. It sounded simple but still quite fun, though he was concerned that his short legs wouldn't be much of a match for the cheetah's long ones. Ahh well nevermind! Playing games wasn't about the winning, it was about the taking part!

With a small yip Uzushi reared back on his hind legs and pawed at the air with his front ones.

"Okay, okay! Let's play this racing game! My feets are fast I think!" He grinned.

Colche smiled softly her beautiful blue eyes glimmering softly as she watched the pup her tail swaying gently behind ehr as she got to her feet. She stretched showing those thick mucles in ehr upper forelegs as she did so. "Okay to that tree over there and back again" She chuckled softly as she stretyched out her toes ehr trackshoe like nails digging in to the shifting soils "ready? Steady? GO!" she shouted her paws hitting the soil hard as she moved away. She had no intent upon beating he pup at this game. Youngsters needed a bit of an ego boost occasionally and it made her day to make anothers life a little happy.

She of course was not going full tilt holdibng back for the pup to catch up so that she could keep his speed.

Kimaria
GO!

Uzushi bounded forwards, his back legs propelling him forwards like springs. Hs maw parted so that his pink tongue could loll from his mouth and suddenly he was running faster than ever before.

The cheetah who was just ahead of him seemed to be slowing down, or perhaps he was speeding up. Either way the wind in his face and the pounding of his heart made him truly feel alive. Oh Uzushi loved to run!!

Run Uzushi! Run fast! Beat that cheetah, you can do it! Kalpana's voice fluttered within the recesses of his mind and urged him on. His eyes fixed upon the tree, his paws moving almost gracefully along the ground as he went. He panted and felt his lungs burn slightly and yet he continued, misjudging the turn around and going past the tree.

He released a small yip of surprise and ran around the back of the tree and headed back the way he had come.

Colche smiled lightly, such a jog wasn't anything to worry about for her. if she was going full tilt it would have been a tireing thing but chasing behind the cub she chuckled hertail waving and acting as a rudder as she made the charp turn cutting around the tree since he had donethat. it was only fair after all.

Speeding up just a little the slender figure of the femme cheetah caught up just a little to the wild dog. this was alot of fun, it had been a long time since she had been in a race, she tried to rememebr when it was. It was when she too was a child a cub and with ehr mother. they had raced for fun her mother had let her win. Smiling serenely she lifted her head, their starting and finishing point was ahead. What awonderful meeting this had been it really was an awfully long time since she had raced and even loosing it was alot of fun.

Kimaria
(( Yeah I saw the roll for them <3 cheetah babies are the most beautiful of all!! Seriously though, colche is going to have an amazing litter since she has one of the prettiest pelts. She'll be a very proud mother. ))

"Wheeee!" Uzushi called, raising his muzzle to give a few excited yips. He seemed to do that a lot. He could feel Kalpana in his mind - the one he supposed was his imaginary friend - and continued to run.

He was aware of the cheetah drawing closer and of the pounding of his paws against the ground. The finish line was just ahead and fixing his aqua eyes upon it he lowered his head and tried to increasse his speed.

This is where it all went terribly wrong. For his paws tangled beneath him and suddenly he was flipping head over heels. Yes, young legs could be so clumsy at times.

((hehe I know I can't wait! plus it's a random roguey male so who knows what colour I'll get out of it! very excited! I'm gunna make 3 peeps very happy I hope!))

Colche slipped straight past him as he tripped though she came to a stop in a second, her trackshoe like claws causing her to completely stop dead mid stride ehr toes flailed outwards. "Are you alright?" she askes turning around and nudging the pup gently. She tilted her head in a concerened manner licking his ears with her rough tongue. "you shouldn't push yourself so hard you ould have hurt yourself."

Givign a little giggle she nudged the pup until he was upon his feet once again her tail swaying and flickering behind her "that was fun." she puurred looking him over and making sure that he hadn't injured himslef unduely. She would never forgive herself for hurting a youngster.

Kimaria
"Yep, yep, yep." He nodded, apparently unphased by his little tumble. "My paws are always getting in a confused tangle." He waited for the cheetah to finish checking he wasn't hurt and then got to his paws and shook himself. "Mama says they'll get better when I'm older, but I am older and they still clumsy." He grinned and perked his large ears forwards.

"I like cheet-urs. They're all very nice!" He continued, wagging his tail. It seemed he had temporarily forgotten about the race, though with a reminder he'd probably continue.

Colche smiled and gave a little laugh "Your mother is very right" she puurrs. "When you grow up you'll be very dainty all wild dogs are" She smiled softly her perfect dusty blue eyes resting on the little hound. "Come, you were winning wer'nt you? she grins and nidges the pup "nearlly there. I'm pretty sure you were ahead until you stumbled." She took a swift step backwards and smiled gently"off you go" She chuckled, she would give hima head start then just pad along behind him. This was a nice little race. Wild dogs could be wonderful little creatures some times.

Kimaria

"Oh yes, racing!" He said, startled and turned to gaze at the finishing line which was probably six or seven strides away. "Okay, lets goooooo!" And with that he was off again, paws moving more carefully against the ground this time.

Oh racing was fun! He suddenly wished he could be a cheetah who could run and run and run....

The finishing line was closing in and he subconsciously quickened his pace for the last few seconds.

Was he going to win?!

Colche smiled, she didn't start running until he was pretyt much at the finish line then in one or two long swift strides she was just behind him as he crossed it. Smiling gently she gave a fruity little laugh and licked his ears "congradulations" she puurred a grin on her maw as she settled beneath the trees shade once again. "Perhaps we can raceagain some time" she puurrs cleaning her forepaws of dust as she settled down comfortably. "would youlike to rest with me for a while? or will your motehr be searching for you?" she asked stretching her front legs out to loosen up her mucles.

She was relaxed now to say the least though she oocassionally lapped at a peice of fur which had gathered dust. She was very proud of her fur after all.

Kimaria
"Yay! I won my very first race!" He squeaked, bouncing on the tips of his paws. The tongue lolled from the side of his maw and his large ears twitched as she licked at them. "Definately race again another day. I like racing very much!" He wiggled and moved to lay beside her.

"My mama knows I like to wander so I be okay to stay for little while longer. Though it'll be dinner time soon!" He licked his lips and snorted, setting his forepaws together so he was lying in a somewhat more noble position.

"It must be nice to be all growed up and able to travel wherever yah want to. One day I'm gonna do that." He nodded and smiled widely.

Colche smiled happy that the pup was able to stay a little longer "lyou wouldn't want to miss your dinner. It's very important" she whispers looking at the youngster with a playful smile before she groomed his cheek. She was a sticker for grooming, she liked to be clean and she couldn't help but groom youngsters around her.

"Oh yes, it's very nice to wander but it's just as nice to know that you have family and friends to go back to" She smiled gently looking at the pup in a pleased manner. "Be careful and don't wander too far from your home. I'm sure your mother would worry about you2 She smiled gently and licked the pups ears one more time before nodding satisfied his fur was at least clean ish.

Kimaria
If it had been possible Uzushi would have purred, but sadly for a canine such a feat is impossible, so he simply stretched out his form a little more and closed his eyes. He loved being washed and this cheetah was just as good as his own mother!

"I want to go on all sorts of adventures." He continued. "In fact the moment I'm old enough I think I'm going to go on a very important journey." He nodded, tail wagging slowly at his hindquarters. "To find the end of the rainbow!"

It was a quest he was longing to go on and yet he had to be patient and wait for the right time.

Colche smiled. It was a puppish dream obviously "The end of the rainbow? Thats a very long quest. I do hope you find it" she whispers Looking at the youngster with a smile. "You know theres a tale taht says theer are great riches and powers at the end of the rainbow thogh that no mortal can ever sit at it's end. Perhaps you will dissproove the story hmm?" She smiled 2if you do make sure to come and tell me about it." She chuckled softly curling her tail around the little wild dog sort of protctively. she almost wished he were her own cub. How she would have adored to pamper a child of her own to teach them of herways and tell them her stories. Still while he was here she could perhaps give him a little of her knowlege.

Kimaria
(( *waves to Chemi* ))

"Long, yes, but I think I can do it. I think I was born with the purpose of finding it and the treasure that awaits me. I heard that when you reach the end you are granted a wish. Any wish that you want!" He smiled dreamily, "I'm goig to wish for a haven of peace, where no one gets hurt or sad."

It was somewhat upsetting to think that this pup's wish would never truly become reality, and yet he still retained that hope within him.

"I shall defainetly telly ou all about it next time we meet Colche."

Colche smiled gently. What a wonderful dream. It was impossible but wonderful. Things would always need to die for others to live so there was no true paradice. Flickering her tail she nudged thepup and smiled "you havd better get going. You don't want to miss your dinner" she puurrs licking his ear one more time. "if ever you come by the cheetah coalition lands. come and find me okay" She smiles gently, this was one wild dog she was glad she had made friends with. Such a sweet soul was hard to come by.

Kimaria
"Okay Miss Colche!" He yipped, getting to his paws and shaking himself. "I definately keep a look out for you and come visit if I go near your home." He turned and headed off towards his dne, pausing to call a farewell over his shoulder.

In his mind Kalpana stirred. I like that one. The feminine voice was cheerful and Uzushi had to agree.

Colche was very nice indeed!

Colche smiled watching the young male vanishin to the distance she sighed. It was time to go home. Gettign to her paws she padded away silently in to the evening. it would take ehr several days to get back to the coalition lands. she could take ehr time. She was in no hurry.

An enlightening meeting ((fin))

She was a fully grown cheetah yet her body was very petite. Her bone structure was delecate her skull lichgt and rounded as all cheetahs. Her leg were long and swift moving as she padded along, her tail swaying gently behind her. As with all cheetahs her lope was swift and graceful her suple mucles moving in a fluid manner.

As was usual with her latest escapades, the slender cheetah knew not wheer she was or wheer she was headed. the world was her oyster but home was behind her. Soft blue eyes watched the horizon in a soft, sadened manner. She did not know her goal, she was simply, moving because she could there was no rhyme nore reason to her journey. this above all things irritated ehr. Why had she not returned home yet? she wanted to yet her journey was not over and she did not know why. A soft sigh escaped the little cheetah as she paused and lay downin the long brittle grass. Where was she going?

A large blue shape moved with casual steps, white paws flattening the grass beheath him with each step only to have it spring up again behind him. His head was lowered, pale eyes hidden from the sun behind the white strands of his brilliant mane.

It was so bright, the nitedwelling lion wishing for the sun to disappear behind the horizon, or at least some shade. Or better yet, a cool dark place to rest until nightfall. To one so used to walking in the dark, even the smallest amount of sunlight was blinding.

Pausing in his tracks, the lion's ears flicked, nose twitching at the scents in the air. Rather than his eyes, this lion relied more on his nose and his ears to guide him, that's not to say his vission was lacking, he had just learned to use other senses more.

There was someone nearby, though he couldn't tell who. It was certainly feline, though it didn't smell of a lion. Well...he didn't smell any danger in the air, so it was what it was...he'd worry about it when he got there.

Colches ears leapt in to the air at the sound of somehting approachig. Heavy foot falls. The plodding sound of paws upon dry ground, shifting sands. Oh gods it was a lion!

Leaping to ehr foot paws suddenly the little cheetah stood stock still guaging wheer ther beast was in comparison to ehrself. She couldn't run, she wanted to, but he was far too close for ehr to dash away with any sort of speed. Looking around herself she stared wide eyed, her tail out behind her bushing up in a bottle brush like manner. "St..st..stay back" she stumbled over her words, something she hadn't done in a very long time. She was so much more confident now but seeing a lion ebfore ehr and a very large one at that, her heart leapt in to her throat.

By Colche's reaconing all lions were cheetah kilelrs, this was just another lion an obstacle between her and escape, freedom and life. She visably panted lookingvery frightened. Was this her end? Had her wanderings braught hetr the same fate as her mother?

Amon Larethian
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The lion's reaction was calm, unconcerned. Despite that fact that his vission was obscured by the sunlight, he could see the cat well enough, and if he hadn't he could certainly hear her movements. Before he had seen her he knew from the sound of light paws that she was a cheetah and that she was now standing, from the sound of her voice that she was female, he could smell that she was frightened.

Lifting his head, white mane falling around his shoulders and ears, the lion's pale blue eyes focused on the smaller cat. He had paused in his tracks purely out of instinct, his tail flicking behind him. His voice was calm, flowing like the river or the waves of the ocean with a slight accent that was difficult to place.

"What's your problem?"

The lion stepped forwad again, continuing his path, unhindered by the cheetah's presence or her words.

Colche let out a slight squeeky upset sound. It wa sort of a whistle of distress and she tried to back away "Lion!" She stated simply her tongue lolling out. She panted in an extremely feared manner her perfect baby blue eyes wide with the shock of being so close. "I don't wnat to die!" she squeeked ehr voice strained and almost exhausted sounding.

The femmes long tail lashed around behind her in a sort of helicopter like movement, she was aggitated afraid and far worse paralised to the spot. She felt shocked and exhausted unable to run even if she could have gotten away. "st..stay where you are..please" she mumbles then her voice lowering to a pitch which was difficult to hear. When had a lion ever listened to a cheetah? Which ever god was watching her was not in a kind mood. did they wish her to die today?

Amon Larethian
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. "Lion? Oh my god, where? Where?!"

His head turned, looking from side to side, pretending to be searching for the creature she had spoken of. It seemed he was feeling a bit sarcastic today, but it wasn't really ment to mock the frightened cheetah. Though he did think it was rather silly for her act that way.

"Yeah, I'm a lion, so what?"

He failed to see what the big deal was. So he was a lion, and this was a cheetah, who cares? The prince of his pride was a cheetah after all, what did it matter what this cat was or what any other cat was.

The lion tilted his head, ears flicking curiously as he watched the cheetah's movements. What was with her anyways? Someone needed to learn to chill.

"You always this jumpy?"

Colche's ears twitched unhappily though she did calm at least a little bit "y..y..You're not going to ku..ku..kill me?" she managed to stutter though her legs were still tenced, she would get awayw ith her life even if it meant sacrificing an appendage to this collosus.

"Lions kill cheetahs." She stated suddenly as if it needed to be said! Thats what lions did they killed cheetahs they mauled their bodies and left them and it wasn't even for food it was for sport for their own twisted sences of humour.

"No! I am not infact usually this jumpy but you pride cats make me nervous!" she sniffed unhappily her voice almost whined now as she watched the white maned male ehr tail still whacked around in an irrattic manner, the fur on the back of ehr neck was slowly standing on end and a line of risen hair flowed along ehr spine. Did he expect her to just relax? He was a lion! They had killed ehr mother why should shenot be nervous?

Amon Larethian
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Ali'ikai settled back on his haunches, tufted tail flicking calmly behind him, the yellow tip glowing against the green of the grass. Uh...huh....someone defintely needed to chill, did he really look like he was out to kill her? I mean really...as if.

"I suppose that's true, some lions do kill cheetahs. Though I know a cheetah that would happily kill a lion."

He shook his head, taking shelter from the sun again behind his white mane, shifting to the small amount of shadow that stretched across the ground. Every part of the lion's posture was calm, relaxed...no, more like it just didn't matter. In fact this cat was the quintessencial ocean bum, fitting of his name king of the sea.

"Why...would I want to kill you?"

Colche licked ehr lips calmly. A cheetah that could kill a lion? "there is a cheetah taht could kill a lion?" she sounded flabbaghasted. How could a cheetah kill a lion? wasn't it an impossibility? Wasn't it impossible for cheetahs to be green though and wasn't it impossible for them to climb trees? her journey had devouched all these things. She had seen them even the tree leaping cheetah.

"I..I don't know" she stumbles over her words though she did calm slightly simply because of his posture. Lions tenced before they pounced "I wish i knew why lions kill cheetahs. it is beyond my understanding" Her ears flickered and flatteend against ehr head as she said it. She looked embaressed almost ashamed of ehr assumation. "you see..uhm..lions killed my mother..i thought..thought you were all the same." She cleared her throat, what she meant was she had assumed, yet heer was a lion whom was so laid back he was telling her of a cheetah that could kill a lion? She was surprised, to say the least.

Amon Larethian
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The blue lion shrugged, was it really all that surprising? It's not like cheetahs were weeklings or something, they were just specialized differently.

"Sure, brute force isn't everything."

Ali stood enough to extend his forelegs before him in a long relaxing stretch, his jaws falling open, tounge rolling past white teeth in a wide yawn before settling back on his haunches again. Could a lion get any more relaxed? If so, it would be Ali'ikai who discovered how.

"Well...you shouldn't judge us all by the actions of one. There is good and bad in everything."

Quite a profound statement from such an easy-going lion, perhaps there was more there than the ocean bum after all.

Cheetahs wern't known for their strength so yes it was quite the surprise for Colche to learn there was such a cheetah. Another tale to tell to the coalition perhaps? A cheetah that could kill a lion. It did so amaze her.

Swaying her long tails he once again looked at the big blue male sheepishly "Yes, I suppsoe it is rather foolish of me but it ishard to cast away a fear so deep set." She sighs softly her dusty blue gaze looking up to the soft blue sky. She settled down a little in the grass then. Though the brittle stems hindered ehr view of the white maned lion she could still smell him. her mucles still tenced,s eh was ready to dive away if she had to but he seemed so relaxed, so laid back that she could feel no errant danger.

"Perhaps if i meet more like you sir over time trust will come to me" she whispers watching the grass move and expose the deep blue of the large male. perhaps this journey was for soemthing after all? She needed to know this didn't she? That not all lions would kill her on sight? She would always be cautious of them. Still at least this was a start, she wasn't as frightened of this laid back lion as she would normally be in this situation.

Amon Larethian
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The lion's gaze shifted, looking thoughtful for once. Ali'ikai had always been the calm-easy going type, most things simply didn't concern him. That's not to say he was thoughtless or foolish, he acted when he needed to. But life was a journey, like the flowing river, why not enjoy the ride?

As a cub he had been lost, seperated from his family and his home. But even so, he had been found, given a new family and a new life, and he was happy. He sometimes wondered about his past, but hadn't it all worked out fine in the end?

"I suppose, but it seems silly to let fear rule your life."

He shifted, turning away from the sun and the bright light that pierced his pale blue eyes and backed down on his blue hide.

"Yes I suppsoe it is but I have never been a strong cheetah and there are many that could take my life at the flick of a paw." she paused fior a moment silent in her thought patterns "I live a good life but you have shown me something sir" She whispered "not all lions will kill me on sight. It is a lesson I much needed to learn." She stretched out her claws peering at the sky through the dry brown grasses.

"Thankyou for that" She stood slowly then ehr long slender tail swaying behind her her dusty blue eyes resting upon the male once again. "Thankyou" She bowed ehr graceful swanlike neck to the big lion turning to leave. Perhaps this was what her journey was about, it was a journey to learn her place and the place of others in the world. She would certainly still be cautious of lions but less frightened of them from now on. She smiled back at the male, she would never have turned ehr back on a lion before yet here she was walking away from him. She sighed gently. This was certainly a good day her journey she felt was nearing an end she would soon return to the coalition lands with many stories and with more courage than she had ever held before.

That had been a short meeting, but then strangers often crossed paths for but a brief moment before fading off again in their own directions. To the lion it had been just that, a simple crossing, nothing more; little did he know the profound effect he had had on the cheetah.

He stayed where he was a short while until the cheetah had moved off. When she had faded from view, he stood to his white paws and walked on, continuing the path he had been traveling before until he found a dark place to rest until nitefall.

Pregnant O.O! ~~ fin

How long had it been? She wasn't entirely sure. The coalition lands wern't too far away though and she was returning with a light heart. Her mood was mixed, she was confused, happy and frightened at the same time. The big male whom had made a brisk entrance in her life had left her heavy in more ways than one. Her slender stomach was already starting to drop with the weight of cubs. She was pregnant.

To say she loved the malewas incorrect, he was handsome and a rogue in every way possible. Sleek, young and healthy a charmer. She had gone to him willingly almost as he had spoken to her so kindly. He had whispered sweet nothings in her ear and she had curled up withhim telling him of her past of ehr pilgramage. He had said he knew what she needed. It was a wonderful night beneath the stars, they ahd enjoyed each others company. She had laughed more than she had in a very long time.

Yet when mornings rays had broken the horizon he was gone. he did not return to her and her heart thudded heavily in her chest. She knew it was the true way of cheetahs. To mate perhaps even to stay together for several days but she, she had expected him to stay withher indefinately. Her heart was heavy in her chest. He had left.

For a few days she wandered looking for him, searching for his scent which always illuded her. She never saw the flash of his coat ofr the glimmer of those handsome eyes.

It was almost two weeks before she started to feel the itch to be back home. She was far fromt he coalition lands and there was alot of travelling to be done but she was happy to begoing home. Of course her journey was slowed. She was hungry very hungry and she had to hunt every day where as she would normally only hunt once every two or three days. By the time she was in the region of the coalition lands her stomach was heavy and she was taking her time about travelling resting often in the shade of a tree her wide belly clearly visable.

She was only half a days walk from the lands now and she had chosen to rest once again beneath a large tree whos branches seemingly kissed the sky. Light dappled down on her fur and she dozed quietly though she opened ehr eyes often trying to possition ehrself and get comfortable. The feotuses inside her were causing her a great disscomfort, she couldn't lie in one possition for very long without feeling the need to shift and fidget and repossition ehr slowly growing bulk. What ahd she gotten ehrself in to? How many cubs would she have? How could she care for them alone? She hoped the coalition would help her but she had been away so long. perhaps they had forgotten her?

Raja padded lightly along, face upturned to the sky, his usual odd smile curling his lips as he moved. He liked his life of going where he pleased, but lately had been finding it rather boring. He'd heard of lands far off with jungles and swamps and deserts, but all he ever seemed to find were scraggly trees and grasslands. Not that he was unhappy, indeed, it would seen nearly impossile for the lanky male to not be smiling. But that didn't mean he wasn't curious about what else was out there.

Dark tail swishing to and fro behind him, he approached the large tree. He'd been walking for a while and a bit of rest in the shade wouldn't go amiss. A tuneless hum rumbled from his throat as he moved, smile widening as he spotted another cheetah. Company!

Her perfect blue eyes opened slowly as she scented the approach of another. The breath of fur was familiar though and she smiled though she stayed laying her perfect blue gaze rested upon the brown slim male "Hello" she whispers she sounded tired though not particularily exhausted just generally a bit fed up and sleepy.

She smiled sweetly as she moved in an uncomfortable manner once again eyeing her belly as she shifted her girth. She couldn't decide ifthis situation was good or not. She loved cubs but without a father around would she be able to care for them alone? What if she had alot? Oh gods she couldn't even think about it. yet the growth she knew was growing inside her would be a good thing. She would get to care for children of her own it was just a little frightening that she would have to do it alone.

The brown cheetah blinked, peering curiously at Colche as he padded up to her. Seating himself before her, he tilted his head, a smile ghosting back onto his face. "Colche!" He said cheerfully, pleased that he'd managed to remember her name. He was bad with names.

"How are you?" He asked brightly, ear flicking idly. Obviously Raja hadn't noticed anything different about her, not being the most observant creature ever. He lifted a paw absently and rubbed it across the side of his face.

Colche chuckled softly. He was a silly boy. She smiled her mind wandering from her worries for now. Sweet blue eyes fell upon him. He was a handsome young thing. She wondered would he ever take a female as a mate or would he simply, go? Shaking her head destractedly she fidgeted looking at her stomach before giving a gentle sigh "I'm fine, a little uncomfortable though" She whispers giving an exasperated sigh as she shifted her bulk once again to allow her self at least a smidgeon of comfort. She assumed he could tells eh was pregnant. She really was carrying a fair amount of weight something she had never had before she was usually so stream lined.

"It has been a while, have you taken up my offer to visit the coalition lands?" she questioned her black tipped ears flickering in the dappled sunlight.

Taejira

Raja blinked down at Colche. Something looked...different about her. His tail curled around his forepaws as he tried to think of what it was. Certainly..certainly her belly area was rather larger... but... hmm. The spotless cheetah's eyebrows knit as he thought.
"Uncomfortable?" He repeated blankly, looking baffled. It seemed that whenever he saw Colche something was wrong! He lowered his ears in sympathy. "Why, what's the matter?"
He shook his head at her question, a sheepish smile gracing his muzzle. "Noo.. I don't know where they are!" he answered cheerfully, not seeming terribly concerned about his awful sense of direction.

Colche gave a little smile, he really was silly. "It's a little difficult to relax when you're pregnant" she replies simply. Relax she could, comfortably she could no she was constantly moving and fidgeting about just lately. It was unusual for ehr when she usually wished to relax down she went now, she had to move all but constatly just to have a moments comfort. "Noone ever informs you how hard it is to lie when your belly doesn't sit comfortably any more"s he laughs softly, making a joke of the whole thing though inside she was tourmented with questions about ehr condition with noone there to answer them for her she was frightened.

"It's not too far away about a half a days walk. I was just having a rest before I mademy way back" she sighed heavily. "'m afraid I'm rather slow goign at the moment I'll be glad to be home and amongst friends again" She smiled wistfully. Truthfully she was glad to be going home, perhaps this little nudge was what she needed to quell her wonderlust.

Raja's tail stopped mid-flick and his eyes widened. Pregnant! That was it, she was full of cubs! Raja was unobservant but not /stupid/, he knew what it meant to be pregnant...though perhaps not about all the details. He wasn't sure exactly how to react... though Colche was smiling there was something about the way she held herself that made him think that congratulations might not be in order. He glanced around. He hadn't known she'd had a mate! He'd rather like to meet the fellow if he was around!

"Oh!" He said finally, gaze flicking to her belly. "You could um, lie on your back?" He offered rather unhelpfully, looking slightly anxious.

Ah, so she was headed back now! That was good... but he was still confused about where her mate was.. ah, perhaps he lived in the coalition lands with her? Though not stupid, Raja was abit simple and couldn't quite comprehend the idea of being pregnant but not having a mate. He fell silent, looking thoughtful.

Colche gave a little weak smile though she couldn't help but laugh at his laying on her back comment "I don't know if I'd be able to get back up again" She whisperd shifting just a little. the babies growing inside ehr pushed agauinst her bladder and spine and her stomach as well. how many was she having? She gave a sigh and shook her head. She had a fear that there would eba dozen little bundles, she would love them all but how could she care for a dozen babies? her stomach certainly felt like it was full to exploding, certainly she could fit no more in to it before it simply kerploded. Oh gods how many was she having? her mind hammered out the questions not granting her a single answer to any of them before she turned back to Raja.

"I hope I can get help there." she whispered rather saddly though she looked a little forelorn for amoment "I'm afraid their father has vanished. I hope, I hope the coalition hasn't forgotten me. i have been away so very long" she whispers her voice barely above a squeek as she said it. She hadn't meant to voice her fears to the young male but he had helped ehr before.

"I'm sorry. I, well I am happy just worried" she smiled weakly trying to put the boucne back in her voice.

The brown male glanced rather warily at her stomach again. She looked so uncomfortable! His ears folded back as he thought briefly about how alarming it must be to have strange little creatures growing inside oneself..

As Colche spoke about the father, Raja's eyes widened. "He left?" The cheetah didn't have enough anger in him to be offended on Colche's behalf, but he did sort of consider her a friend and couldn't help frowning. How awful! He lifted a forepaw and rather awkwardly offered the female a reassuring pat on the back. "I'm sure your um, coalition... will help you.." He said unsurely, trying to be helpful.

Colches ears flickered a little as she shifted and she smiled up at Raja "Thankyou. I hope so.." she whispers. "I'm worried I won't be able to cope if theer are, well lots of them" She looked a little sheepish. baby sitting for one baby was tough careing for her own twenty four hours a day, oh, the thought was frighteneing, so frightening. Her tail swayed a little irritably and she tilted ehr head to touch raja's foreleg.

"will, will you travel a short way with me? I'm afraid I'm slow but, but I would appreciate the company" she whispers looking sheepish and afraid that the answer would simply be no. She hadn't been around another in so long she longed for company for comfort, even for idle chit chat of another. though the coalition was close at paw now. "I can show you the coalition lands. perhaps you would like it there or, or perhaps you would come and visit me? I have a feeling i'm going to be there for a while" She smiled weakly sitting slightly. layign down wasn't goign her nay good, she was much too uncomfortable.

Taejira

Raja looked thoughtful. Colche seemed very distraught, and he would be a bad friend if he didn't do anything to help... after all, it wasn't as if he did anything other than wander aimlessly about. Nodding slightly to himself, he offered the other cheetah a cheerful smile.

"I can help you if you like!" He said tail beginning to sway to and fro again. "I umm.. I like cubs, I can help you watch them, if you want.. at least for a bit.." he added, figuring that Colche's friends would also help. He stood, ears perked forward once more. This was all part of the adventure! He'd never been to the coalition lands anyway... it would be interesting. Beaming, he nodded. "Course I'll go with you!"

Colche looked a little surprised when Raja offered to help care for her cubs,. for a little bit. "Oh Raja I would much appreciate that!" she puurrs rubbing her cheek against his shoulder her ears flattening tightly against ehr head and her eyes closing "i'm sure my cubs would love you" she whispers her small rounded ears fluttering as she lifted ehr head wiping away a few joyful tears with her claw. "I'm afraid I'm a bit, emotional at the moment" she whispers looking very sheepish.

She sood for a moment looking away in to the distance the coalition lands was only half a days walk away now, she and Raja could make it easily by the evening if they went now. "I'm ready to go if you are" she puurrs her sweet blue eyes smiling softly. She appreciated his jesture very much. Perhaps he would be an uncle to her unborn children. He was silly but very sweet. He had even alleviated some of her worries, if he was willing to help she could surely care for her future children.

Looking slightly embarassed at how grateful Colche seemed, Raja smiled sheepishly. He'd have felt awful if he hadn't offered help, that was just the sort of thing one did when there was a friend in distress! He looked distinctly uncomfortable as she nuzzled him.
"'Course I'll help," He said with an absent minded smile. "Just call me Uncle Raja!" 8D He puffed his chest out proudly and beamed, tail flicking.
"Lead the way, Colche!"

Colche laughed softly. "Cubs must adore you" she whispers. Her paws were sore but they were pretty close now, she could rest beneatht he great boa tree when they got there and she could sleep, or at least try to.

Padding off before Raja it was clear hopw destended her stomach was, she knew she was cryrying more than one she just didn't know how many more. She felt so heavy though she managed to walk with that same graceful walk she always had her tail still behind her the tip twitching on occassion. She smiled back at Raja. "don' ever get pregnat it's hard to walk" she giggles she was feeling a bit silly now her mood had risen a bit. She was excited to be back home and able to relax untils he had the cubs. Shedecided, she was happy, frightened but happy. If noone else wished to help her at least she had raja at her side. He was a good friend.
