For a week, too many Mauvians have had to deal with a strange affliction: trapped in what essentially seems like a human body. No matter what experiments were performed, what magic, what rituals, nothing could answer why or how--or return their powers to them. It may have seemed hopeless--until, in the dead of night--the air crackled. For the first time, there was a familiar tingling sensation. It wasn’t quite an energy signature, but it was something. And they could feel it. It was calling to them. In a filthy heap of dirt in the city, surrounded by cement and steel beams, the capsule called to them. Quote: This event is Mauvian exclusive, so characters should be participating unless they are a Guardian Cat! All Mauvians can participate in this ORP, whether or not you participated in the previous prompt! All participating Mauvians must include their name, bolded, at the top of their post; if your Mauvian was not affected, please code their name in red. If your Mauvian was affected, please code their name in blue. Only Mauvians may participate in this ORP. Posts will occur ~every 48 hours. Players can miss dice rolls without repercussions but will not be able to make up for missed dice rolls. This will be a battle and will last ~two weeks. Mauvians are free to converge at the construction site and feel a strange, fluctuating, electrical signature but nothing can be located at present. If you have acquired a slot for a Mauvian that does not yet have art but does have a stamp, you may participate in this event. You may not start new roleplays that are not directly related to the previous prompt or this ORP and you will not be able to play the character again until you have art of them.

Miss Kitty drew upon the construction site in her signanture pink cowpoke hat and wearing her pink bell collar -- both the only things not changed from the strange form the first sensation caused. In place of her pink and white ruffled garb was a diminutive woman, aalbino skin sensitively covered by a long sleeved shirt, pants -- Ally had even lent her steel toed boots and gloves to go out in. Her delicate porcelain face was lotioned to the strongest p[ossible, and sunglasses covered and protected pigmeentless eyes, the woman looking around. AShe'd been lucky -- Ally and Alex were accepting and helpful. Most others were not, and Miss Kitty repressed the urge to glklloat. She was not keen on her own kind, save very few, because they were, in Miss Kitty's eyes, soft, self-important, selfish creatures. Broderick disappearing seemed to have further soured the Mauvian's mood, and she was scowling as she looked around. She was small, frumpy, and dainty, but she radiated a quiet strength and confidence. SHE couyld survive a domestic cat. If she could defeat Bitchkitty, she could defeat anyone. Quote: Miss Kitty is uh. Open for the brave, but she might punchn people whom tick her off I suppose. I'm so sorry for her.

ArthurArthur was in heaven. The week had been nothing but a pure joy to him, as he already used his humanoid form and energy-suppressing medallion to go on many excursions in human disguise. A hat and a bit of tail tucking with the assistance of a long coat had always benefited him for city living. Looking eccentric was just one of many in such a populated city from the man dressed as Spiderman on the subway to the ballet dancer practicing routines for a art piece in the park. With the wardrobe assist from Nat months ago, he had a adequate and fashionable selection for attire.
The change had not been startling to him, but a limitless opportunity to BE human without the need for hats and coats which worked great in the spring air. Most of all, it provided an opportunity to be closer to the humans around him without them being suspicious or him selecting actions based on what might be found or questioned.
When he felt the prickle of energy, it was with mixed feelings. That whatever this was, it was going to be gone all too soon, but it was a cat's curiosity he could not escape to find out what exactly was calling to him. After taking a taxi, he arrived somewhere close to the feeling and wandered a few blocks until he happened upon the construction sight. Dressed in tight jeans that for once could accent his butt, a t-shirt with a light jacket, and sneakers, he walked with the feeling of the wind going through is hair. Sliding down a set of gravel and dirt, he arrived to see a young woman standing there. Was she the cause for the energy.
There was no one here so it was suspicious. "All alone?" He asked. "Strange place for a young lady to be showing up."

ChipThe week had certainly been an interesting one for Chip. Fingers were so useful. Although the lack of tail was disconcerting... Still. He could work with it. He knew he could get a human oid form, but this was weird and not right. His only clue was that weird pulse on the first evening. Not much to go on. But then! A new pulse! This one more...insistent. He could feel it, follow it. So, naturally, he put his hat on, slipped on the light up shoes Chara had insisted on Tetra buying for him (weird as it felt to have those on), and started following the...whatever it was. Eventually, the small boy ended up at a mess of a construction site. How very strange...But surely there would be answers here, he would just need to find them.

Another man approached, and the woman turned, looking him over patiently. Well, he wasn't hoorrid onm the eyes, and a thuin, careful smile formed on her lips. She'd heard from Ally of men who tried things with females -- Really, humans ere terrible to easchj other - and she remained cautious. Did he feel the tingle in ther air, the sensation something was amidss? She wondered and did not dare ask directly. "Me? Ah, yes I am. I've not seen a construction site uup so close before. Fascinating, isn't it?" Now as long as nothing fell on her, she was good!

Arthur"Yes. I like looking at new places myself. Get away for a moment to some place new." He said, making it sound as if humans regularly visited construction sites off hours in casual street attire. For all he knew, she might be one of those urban explorers or just generally up to something, but she could also be hiding the reason for the tingling. Friend? Foe? Bystander? He had to be careful in his prying else he would show his own hand. Human meant no beam so all he would have to work with were his own fists, any large rocks nearby, and possible some rebar.
"Something about unfinished urban architecture really gives a delightful tingling sensation down my spine. It draws your attention to it. It beats spending time home alone with my cat." He said, looking about casually while keeping her in the corner of his vision to see if that would prompt anything from her.
It was then another younger man came up which was not hard to spot giving the shoes he was wearing. Something was clearly up. Was she hear to meet him and he just happened to get between the signals?
"A friend?" He asked her.

Sher should've brought Ally. Her person would gladly back her as she was, and the woman scratched under her opwn chin, listening to Arthur with the calm. cool rtegartd of a reigning queen - after all, the woman was originally the top cat, the one drawn to calm the others. She didn't need some well-meaning civilian meddling in her snooping. However, he al;so acted like cats were not his thing and she sniffed. "I much like my cat," For after all, shje very much did like herself before anyhoiw. "So I'm content either way." But the tingling was the reason she was trhere, and she needed-- Her thoughts were interrupted by Chip's untimely arrival, and Miss Kittty's face promptly resembled a cat disp[[leased by the sudden noise of a loud thing, and a faint, feline growl came from her before she grumbled. "He's no friend of mine." She drawled then. "I'm not wont to enjoy thwe coimpany of others.

ChipChip tapped his finger to his cheek a couple times as he considered the people talking back and forth. "I don't think I know you," he said finally, "But ya know," his voice matched his childish looks quite well, as did his playful smirk that appeared then, "Maybe I would if you still had a tail~" He pointed at Arthur. "You have to be here about missing yours. There's no way you're not." Subtle was not something Chip did, clearly. And he delighted in spoiling the subtlety of others, so he giggled then. "What even is all this, anyway?"

"Well, the metaphorical cat is out of the bag I suppose." At least this newcomer was a Mauvian. It really did cut to the heart of the mater.
"And no, I'm not here for the lack of the tail. I only came because I was curious. The tail gets in the way of these jeans." He said, and he looked to the woman still beside them. She had mentioned a cat, but he still hadn't been sure at the time if she was a Mauvian too.
"Can I venture a guess that you are a Mauvian as well or should I start running for the hills?" He said, not sure who all could sense what they were all feeling. Then again, a agent might not show up in civilian attire. She clearly was not happy they were both here.
"I'm sorry for bothering you but it seems this place is going to attract company."

Miss Kitty chuckled at Chip goodnaturedlyu, appreciating the pbdservation as she unfolded her arms, finally smiling in bemusement at the muitual subtlety as she motioned. "Yes to bboth, dsepending on whom you ask. I don't usually bother other Mauvians. I find too many mopre inclined top flit about as mature as children than not, Pity, that wholwe business." She chuckled again then offered Arthur a hand. "A pleasure though. And I'm afraid I dion't know what to say about pants and tails. I wear a dress, usually. This is a loan. Nasty thing, sunlight when you're an albino human"

Chip, being an obvious child, rubbed his nose at the mention of the maturity of children. "Why not make a hole for the tail, then?" Chip suggested. "It's what I'd do! Though, I guess taking the humans' clothes is easier without it..." He wandered a bit as he spoke and listened, nudging various things with a foot, picking up pieces here and there. "But anyway...There must be something cool here, right? I mean, this sort of thing doesn't just happen."

Arthur
"I'm a bit too old to act like a child. I hope to just be the support to the younger and maybe young in spirit Mauvians. But I can understand. If you are ever inclined for some mature company, I always offer a ear especially to such a lovely woman such as yourself." He said with a smile to her. "And I'll be sure to bring you a umbrella to compliment your outfit next time for the sun. I can only imagine what you would adorn yourself if given the chance to pick out your own attire without being limited to that of someone else, but you have done exceptionally well."
He looked to the chipper young man from before. "I think a tail can work under a dress though I wouldn't know. It could also be hard to mend a dress that way. I've never taken my hand at sewing of course. But if you were walking the streets, ears and tails are harder to explain away if it's too convincing. You have to be careful and some children like to pull tails. I tend to just hid them under my clothes."
"As for why we are here, I'm not sure either. It seems to be coming here but I don't see anything at all. Maybe we should look around." He said, looking about.
"My name is Arthur by the way. Apologies for the slow introduction. I was worried who might all be showing up here. I wanted to be careful."

Etoile
This wasn't the first time Etoile had found herself as a magic-less human, but the previous time had been a dream, albeit a really wild one, so did it really count? The strange thing was that she had recently discovered that she really did have the ability to shift to a more humanoid form, but she had kept her magic and Mauvian traits... only to suddenly wake up one day to find it all gone. It was fortunate that she lived with Alise, so she wasn't exactly wanting for shelter, but there was a new problem afoot- hiding a small magical cat was easy enough, but hiding a person was harder.
At the very least, Etoile was around the same height as Alise, albeit slightly shorter, so she was able to borrow some of her old clothes, including a spare uniform. Initially, Alise had thought to try dragging Etoile with her to class, perhaps introduce her as some distant cousin or half-sibling from a faraway country, but the idea had fizzled out pretty quickly, because inflicting the 'horror' that was Crystal Academy wasn't something she would wish upon her worst enemy... maybe. Still, the spare uniform made for a convenient excuse to both her mother and the housekeeper that Etoile was a friend of hers that was just hanging out with her for the weekend, on some kind of holiday sleepover.
Of course, there was still the matter of figuring out what had caused this strange phenomenon, and how to resolve it. While Alise was convinced it was some sort of curse, and had gone off to investigate ways to dispel it, Etoile had been... drawn? To the construction site, which she hadn't paid any heed to before, or even had intended to visit, but something called her to it, and thus here she was, dressed in some of Alise's clothes, trying to get used to the feeling of wearing shoes.

"Normally I'm very much a cat, but that doesn't mean I will refuse your company." Miss Kitty smiled at his compliments, relaxing at last. "I haven't figured oiut how you do it but, well, I also woke in a dress. Easy to presume." She chuckled gently. "Sewing is tricky business, I understand." She smiled to both. Chip was an actual kitten, it seemed, and she'd raised adopted lkiottens. They earned their mischief,.. and the wom,an afforded both a smile. "Still, finding your way to disguise a tail would be an interesting trick." Fiinally, the woman moved to explore as well, scowling. "I'd like to know what this feeling is myself." She licked her lips, and frowned. "Though I'm unsure if I want to punch those responsible, or hug them. Being a human is... Interesting."

Soleiyu
Being a human had been neither difficult nor easy for Soleiyu, who was still struggling to determine what, exactly, he should be doing. On one hand, the functionality of a human was a welcome change. On the other hand, he couldn't do anything else. He was anxious without access to his ability to sense senshi, to upgrade.
It wasn't that this body felt wrong, just that he felt like his skin was crawling. He liked the body, he just missed his. He couldn't curl up in his favorite places, he never felt full, and all of his custom tools were useless in this form.
He missed being him, and the longer he was stuck like this, the longer he was afraid that the life he'd had before was left behind.
So, when he felt the buzz in the air, he left immediately. He arrived in his clothes, making no effort to try and blend in with the fashion of Destiny City. While there were strangers gathering, they didn't seem to look any more aware of what was going on than he did. He approached with caution, knowing that someone may easily try to chase him off for not belonging--but that humming. He had to know what it was, had to find it. It was the only lead he'd had at all since this whole thing started.
Quote: Soleiyu is open for interaction if anyone needs a roleplay partner <3
