"An awful shame. I agree. But if this thing escapes we will never see it again once it goes on the local news by wrecking the neighborhoods."
He looked about but couldn't see anything that could take on lasers as a shield. They just had to keep stoning it and surrounding it as their only options for right now. They were too far off to go anywhere that might have better supplies for them to construct something, but that also meant they were far away enough from the locals. Small blessings he supposed.
"Don't loose one of your pretty legs now." He said to Miss Kitty as he moved beside her. "Though I like the enthusiasm."
"Make sure not to let it escape!" He called out, picking up another rock and throwing it. It grazed a leg with a unimpressive 'thump.'

The teamwork so far has produced visible results: all but one of the flailing ‘arms’ seem like they’ve lost function. One has snapped off completely, one has frozen in an awkward pose and is showering small sparks as it tries to twitch to life. The last one is dangling limply as the robot shuffles around, throwing its weight around and firing lasers. They shoot in random directions and at one point in time even shot into one of its legs, which promptly snapped off. Two other lasers seemed to be generating too much energy to filter through and imploded on themselves. The robot showed very few signs of giving up. Two Mauvians had the unique benefit of being near the robot, of being able to clearly see and access the panel. Loose wires dangled, and if they could only be fixed, they might be able to slow this thing down… Arthur and Chip need to focus their energy on repairing the panel; the other Mauvians need to do everything in their power to distract and damage the robot to give them an opening! Quote: Chip and Arthur must roll 1 100 sided dice to attempt to repair the paneling. Everyone else must roll 1 100 sided dice to continue attacking and trying to distract the robot. You may participate in the ORP even if you missed a previous prompt, however it may affect the outcome of certain events. Rolls cannot be made up once the next prompt has been posted! All Mauvians should roll to search for the mysterious capsule! Players can miss dice rolls without repercussions but will not be able to make up for missed dice rolls. Soleiyu would have been happier if he'd been in his Mauvian form--smaller, so less likely to be hit, faster--he'd have had has laser, and claws...
In this form he had next to nothing worthwhile. Strength, maybe, but he wasn't exactly supremely coordinated in this form. He picked up rocks and continued to hurl them while dodging the lasers, but he wound up blinded twice and realized that if he couldn't see where he was throwing, he probably shouldn't be throwing things at all. The last thing he wanted to do was hit Tomlin or Liryn with a stone to the face.
His balance was off and he wavered, ducking to the ground a bit to catch himself.
"Confused or not, it's not my favorite piece of technology," he muttered. If it had been programmed better, perhaps it wouldn't be malfunctioning so badly. "--I can't see very well," he confessed to the two, scrubbing at his eyes again. He didn't seem like he was in harms way and he wasn't saying it out of personal distress. Instead, it sounded more like an apology that he wasn't able to do more.

"Lasers shouldn't normally tyake limbs, if a friend of mine with knowledge on the topic of robotics is correct. A pity they're not here." And Miss Kitty wasn't sure she wanted Ally near this thing. The albino moved to try plain breaking the little robott, before considering, and trying to grab for it. "Thios little horror though... I don't like it. Should just smash it before it does more dama--" And she hand was hit wigthj another laser, the woman snapping her arm back, and hissing, before grabbing a 2x5 asand slamming it hard on the robit.

Namielle
She hadn't exactly been the focus of this particular adventure and she definitely hadn't been a hero in any respect, but that didn't mean that the Mauvian had been hiding the whole time. On the contrary, while most of her companions had taken to attacking from the 'front lines', Namielle had favoured a more controlled and defensive approach. Whatever shrapnel she could find had been gathered and thrown, what heavier items she couldn't throw had been lifted through other means in order to drop them on the occasional flailing leg.
With her limitations as they were and the technology at her disposable not being the [i[best, she was only able to provide a small measure of help, yet as with all things in life it appeared that the collective efforts of both she and her companions was enough to slowly but surely bring this mechanical beast under control.
...Well sort of.
There were still some final hurdles to cover and as two of the closest Mauvians had a singular opportunity to at least try to incapacitate their friend... it was important to give them as much cover as possible. With that in mind Namielle had little choice other than to, at the very least, continue with her machinations. Alas she was running out of rubble to throw and given she didn't have the capacity to throw anything the size of, say, a beam, she was quickly running out of options.
One could only hope that both Chip and Arthur would somehow manage to get that thing under control soon otherwise she was just going to have to start throwing jewellery and hope for the best!

Well this was truly a sight to see. Pyper mused as the mauvian tech attempted to defend itself. She watched as it flailed it’s arms and legs and attempted to ram into people. It was quite silly to watch, she thought. That was until it started firing lasers. “What the?!” She quickly found herself dodging these attacks. “Alright, if I can get close enough maybe I can hit it and knock some sense into it!”
As she tried to close in on it without getting hit, a leg smacked her shoulder. “Ow!” she hissed. That’d leave a bruise. She kicked at it a few times, quickly getting irritated with the machine. Hopefully someone would be able to get a hit in and disarm it.
Sure enough. All the attacking had limited the robot's movement. Only one arm was working now. "Great job guys!" she called out. Noticing, two individuals were close by the robot, she decided she would set about trying to distract it so Arthur and Chip could get close and work on repairing the paneling.

Progress! Maybe! Well, the robot was kind of in the middle of self-destructing, pretty much, with all the damage done to it. Perhaps that wasn't the right word, but Etoile did notice that it wasn't shooting as many lasers, or grabbing with the claws as much. The two closest Mauvians seemed like they were going to try to stop this thing by pulling some wires or something, so Etoile decided that she would help out again with trying to damage the bot by throwing another rock.

Total = 248The others were throwing stones, and it finally occurred to Tomlin that that was an option for him as well. The novelty of fingers took some getting used to. He scooped up a fist-sized rock, which would have been as large as his head in his normal form. His aim was shaky, but so was the robot, so it probably evened out. At least he would get better with practice, while the bot seemed intent on knocking out its own limbs for them. But it sure did have a lot of lasers. Another stinging bolt zapped his arm, and he shook it out with a hiss. From the corner of his eye, he saw Soleiyu go to ground, hands to his face. Tomlin winced in sympathy. “You okay?” he asked. Not that there was much he could do for the other Mauvian besides stand in the way of further attacks. And he’d been planning to do that anyway. Tomlin hefted another block of rubble, and aimed at one of the remaining legs. Once they got it down, the vicious little lasers wouldn’t have as much range.

 Chip81, 26, 38, 52 (197) [repair roll total: 52] It was terribly exciting to sling things at this construct..but that wasn't going to be enough. No, not at all. Chip needed to focus on what chip did best: Taking things apart and putting them back together more interestingly better. And there was an opening. A likely spot to get in close and have a peek. Even as large as he was (he was slightly over a meter tall, still madness even after a week), he was still small enough to slip in more easily than most others to have a peek. There was another around too. "Arthur, right?" Chip said, as he did his best to latch on to the thing and have a look. "I'm Chip! Tell me if ya see anything likely...I'll bet we can make this thing stop flailing around so bad with a little whisker twitch!"

A grazing shot, barely missed him, making Liryn realise that whilst some of the robot's arms were non function, at least one of them appeared to still capable of firing things - and the robot didn't seem like it was about to stop.
Purplish eyes turned towards Tomlin at the sound of the other's voice, Liryn half-turning concerned as he realised that Soleiyu was on the ground.

Illyria wasn't even sure if her attacks were having any impact on whatever this piece of technology was. The young woman threw another rock that she found at her feet before dropping to the ground to avoid a laser that had been fired in her general direction. It wasn't quick enough to avoid feeling the heat of the beam and she hissed in response. If she had been in cat form one would have almost been given the impression that her fur would be standing on end. Through sheer determination Illyria picked herself up from the ground and bared her teeth towards the little robot thing. Why had it decided that they were the enemy? Was it because they weren't true Mauvians at the moment so it didn't recognize them when it first scanned the group?
'Heavy thoughts for another time. Maybe someday they'll get answered.'
Whirling around Illyria watched the commotion before picking up one of the legs that had been snapped off. Be interesting to study whatever it was but for now she hurled it with all the strength that she could muster towards the robot and the two Mauvians that had managed to get close to it. Maybe she should have looked more closely, "Incoming leg joint!"
