⚔ Cahira ⚔ Name: Cahira Race; Water 1/2, Fire 1/2 Gender Female Orientation: Unknown Personality: Dreamer, Brave and Caring
A bold girl who adores the idea of adventures. Even as a youngling she was obsessed with the idea of being the knight in shining armor and fighting off dragons and other dangerous beasts. She would be the one to protect her two younger siblings and looks up to her two oldest siblings fondly. She doesn't really have a filter and will always speak her tongue and doesn't understand how bluntness is so offensive to some. She definitely fits in more with the boys than the noble girls that her mother introduces her to.
She cares more about others than her own well being most times. She would rather hide her own emotions than let anyone know that she's feeling down.
History The second daughter of Dexurn and Shadiya. Now that her mother is back into the noble society Cahira is prone to being dragged along to meetings, but still loves her family anyways. Being raised in Matori also makes her prone to loving the water and swimming, but she also enjoys fires since some of her favorite memories are of the bonfires on the beach.
Despite her adventures, Cahira lived a mostly peaceful life as she traveled between Oba and Matori constantly with her mother and the rest of her family. Now that Omaria has taken over the academy in Sulburi and that her mother has settled back in Matori, Cahira has decided that she also wants to open an academy of her own...one for swordsmanship. She's working hard to set up everything while embracing the role of a mentor for anyone wanting to learn.
Habits: She's energetic and doesn't sit still easily, she would rather be pacing around or doing something productive rather than just sitting and talking.
She tends to twirl strands of hair around her fingers while thinking and often chews on her bottom lip while pondering puzzles.
Theme Song: Future outfit inspo

⚔ Class Affinity Solo - Choosing the Sword ⚔
Cahira always knew that she adored the sword. The weapon was beautiful and allowed the fighter so many options with the unlimited forms that it offered. There were dual blades, broadswords, curved swords and even large b*****d swords almost the size of a full grown earthling! Her love for the weapon had perhaps started whenever she first witnessed her mother’s sword dance, the beauty of her graceful yet dangerous movements with the blade enticing and setting a light aflame inside of Cahira’s own soul. She had only been a youngling at the time but already her spirit recognized the weapon as her own. As soon as she could walk she had asked for a toy sword, a small wooden thing that her parents had amused her with at the time. Cahira had adored it and in her mind she was constantly running through adventures and rescuing damsels and gentlemen alike from dastardly creatures across the lands. She slept with the wooden sword and would never let it out of her sight for the longest time until eventually she blossomed into a young lady who needed to show a bit of restraint and more ladylike behaviors, especially when they were visiting Oba and other nobles. Shadiya was a wildfire and it was not like her to truly stifle her daughter but when they needed to present themselves to other noble families to gather support for the growth of her dancing school and orphanage in Sulburi even Cahira willingly agreed to dress up and hold back her rougher, tomboyish nature. It was at the meeting that the other nobles often asked Shadiya and her children needless questions to pass the time. How pretty you all are. Do you have plans on staying in Sulburi or do you really intend to keep traveling between here and Matori? How do you feel about your mother taking in so many other children? Do you like to dance as well? It was the last question which had Cahira pausing. She did adore dancing after all. Her oldest sister was busy learning how to craft glass pieces while her older brother was off exploring all of the animals of Tendaji but where did that leave Cahira and the other two siblings? Sheirra loved magic already and it was pretty obvious that she would want to learn magic like Kyril but who knew if her sister would pick up a hobby besides magic? Pynar was also a mystery but he was so sweet that Cahira couldn’t even imagine him picking up a weapon. She loved the idea of protecting others like her Papa but the shield just seemed so defensive when she would rather take action first. Did that explain why the sword was perfect for her? But if she enjoyed dancing would it make more sense to follow in her mother’s footsteps so that she could help with the school in the future? It was a thought that tormented Cahira for weeks after she first explored the school.
The school had been opened in the old manor that Shadiya inherited from her parents in Sulburi and the estate that once had been in ruin for the last two decades had blossomed into life again after Shadiya opened her parents’ accounts and gathered the support of other nobles who were more open to the idea of hybrids and charity. The school would hire dancing instructors along with other instructors of the arts and there were even basic knowledge classes such as math, writing and history so that whoever attended would have a rounded education with a main focus on dance or music. Nobles could pay for their children to attend while scholarships would be offered for talented students who had no money or home. They could stay at the rooms offered at the manor while attending classes and breakfast and dinners would be provided with extra rewards for those who picked up tasks at the manor and participated in competitions. Cahira had almost been overwhelmed the first time she saw the school after it had been open for a couple of years. The few students there had grown in numbers and her mother even had to hire builders to expand the school with a new building for classes. The manor itself was a large structure with at least twenty rooms, ten of which were used as bedrooms for scholarship students. Many shared rooms, the luxury of large spaces placed aside to support more students who needed homes while the sons and daughters of wealthier Obans commuted from their estates in Sulburi to the school. It was amazing to see what her mother had pulled off and Cahira found herself in awe of everything. The ballroom for entertaining had been converted to a dancing classroom, the large space fitted with railings, mirrors and large windows to help give the best environment for practices. The kitchen and dining room had been simplified to fit more students and to allow kitchen staff plenty of room to make food for at least fifty students, many of which took turns between morning classes to stop in for a quick bite with a more formal dinner options in the evening that was either mid afternoon or later depending on classes and the students. Cahira had sat in on a few of the dinners so that she could enjoy the company of the students, most of them Oban with a few Matori and hybrids here and there along with a few select foreigners who had recently come to Sulburi after hearing about the success of the school. Chatting with others made her explore her love for dancing and participating in the classes had also made her rethink her decision. Was fighting really what she wanted when this was also so much fun?
Cahira frowned as she twisted through a series of practice moves in the ballroom. Her body felt sore but she was happy, the same feeling that she had after a long training session with a sword. It was a good exhaustion one that made her feel like she was truly getting stronger day by day. “Maybe I should pick up dancing formally so that I can take after Mama.” She mused quietly as she rested against the cool floor, her tangled mess of crimson curls damp from sweat.
“If you’d like.” Replied another dancer, an Oban girl who had been practicing with Cahira in the spacious room, unlike Cahira she was already pacing back and forth to make certain that none of her muscles would lock up after such a long and tiring practice. Every movement made the long dark curls threaten to break away from the loose ponytail that she had thrown together before dancing. She had some sort of wildness in her movements, the same fiery spirit that made her dancing stand apart from others as a star student. There was a confidence there that had blossomed in the school despite her poorer heritage and it showed as she turned her blazing golden gaze towards Cahira. “But don’t you love the sword just as much, Cahira?”
“I do.” Cahira pursed her lips towards the other girl, “It’s just really hard to think about, Azar.” If anything she knew that she adored the sword and dancing. It truly was hard to just pick one. “Can’t I just balance both?”
“I suppose you could.” Azar replied with a chuckle as she finally plopped down on the ground next to Cahira, “But shouldn’t you at least decide which one you will truly focus on the most? Unless you’re a god there’s only so much that you can balance with both. I work from sunrise to sunset just to master a dance, can you do the same if you’re learning the sword as well?”
“Fair enough.” Cahira let out a sigh. “I just feel bad that none of my siblings seemed to pick up dance like Mama. I’m the closest one…”
“So?” Azar shook her head, “That doesn’t mean you should sacrifice your first love to continue your mother’s legacy. Mistress Shadiya is a strong woman and I doubt she’s going anywhere any time soon. You’ll probably see her dancing even when one of your siblings gives her grandchildren in the future.” Teased Azar lightly with a chuckle, “If not then I know I am working my best so that I can help continue her legacy. She may not be my mother by blood but I have learned her dances and her style will not die anytime soon. I’m not the only one to consider her a mentor and almost a mother after all.”
Cahira blinked at the thought. She knew that others looked up to her mother but she truly hadn’t considered how much of an effect she had on their lives. “Then maybe you’re right and I should just trust you to carry on that legacy, Azar. Not that I won’t try to learn more myself!” Cahira quickly added with a small grin. “I’ll try to be a god but I really do think the sword calls to me the most. I want to be able to protect you all but I don’t know if dancing alone can do it. I’ll become a great knight, woo the nobles and keep the school going with all sorts of funding from my adventures and the treasures that I find!”
“Sounds like a good plan.” Azar grinned as she nudged her friend. “I’ll be countin’ on ya, Cahira.”
Cahira could only grin at the teasing statement before finally standing and offering a hand to help up her friend, “Well now that you’ve helped me through my life’s crisis I suppose I should treat you to dinner. Wanna eat outside for once?”
“Sure. Why not.” Azar laughed as she took the hybrid’s hand and they prepared to head out to find something to eat in the city before retiring for the night.

⚔ Growth Solo to Stage 2 - Choosing to Travel ⚔
Cahira had been pondering things ever since her conversation with Azar. The apprentice had spent a lot of time around the manor just working out with her usual training routine, a mixture of swordplay and dancing, but she was beginning to feel like she wasn’t growing as much as she wanted. “What do I do about this?” Cahira sighed as she sharpened one of her lighter blades, the friction of her sharpening stone against the metal causing sparks to fly as she quickly ran the blade over it again and again. Her golden gaze flickered around her home, a small pout on her lips, and another sigh escaped her. She had been so excited before this to go and explore the world but now that she was actually old enough to contemplate it the thought was rather...daunting? Her older siblings seemed to have no qualms about leaving and even Kyril who used to be so close was now off visiting Belrea for some training under another glass worker. Where did that leave her? To simply sit at home and continue playing pretend for another few years until she finally got the courage to actually venture out on her own? “I’m so silly.” Cahira let out a chuckle as she placed her blade on the ground and stood up. Lean muscle showed off whenever she stretched her arms above her head, a testimony to her intense training that she constantly did, but she still felt unpolished. “I need to be like my blades and get something to sharpen me into better shape.” She knew it was true but the thought still made her gut twist with uncertainty. She was the middle child, the one who had been watching her younger two siblings whenever her older siblings ventured away, and it was strange to think about leaving them behind now. Would they be okay without her? Would her parents be upset at her? So many worries for a usually carefree girl!
“Maybe I could roll some dice?” There was indeed a leather bag of dice on the table in the small workshop behind their ocean manor and Cahira walked up to it. A few wooden dice were nestled inside and she found herself shaking them in a fist. Would it get the numbers she wanted? Was this really the best way to decide her fate? Or rather was she procrastinating and hoping the dice would agree with her so that she could push off traveling for another few months at the very least? “Okay odd number and I’ll go but otherwise I’m staying here?” She mused before clutching the dice tightly in her fist and giving a few good shakes before dropping them again. Cahira held her breath as they rolled across the table before letting out another sigh. “I see you aren’t even on my side.” She teased lightly before scooping the dice back up into the bag. “A seven.” She shook her head, her crimson curls bouncing with the movement, before finally giving up. She knew that she was just procrastinating and that fears of leaving home to never return kept holding her back but it was finally time to face those fears and go forward. Kyril leaving for Belrea had awakened something within Cahira and she knew that she couldn’t wait any longer. Whether it was just through the main continent or overseas she didn’t know but for now her first stop would be Oba where she could visit her friends one more time and see what she could learn around the cities. She could find some swordmasters and study under them for a few months before moving on to the next city or so. After all, wasn't her original goal to learn all the styles of swordplay from across the world?
[634]
After pushing off her travels for years, Cahira finally faces that if she truly wants to be a great swordswoman that she must leave home and travel. She hates the thought of leaving her family but she is determined to search the world and learn what she can about mastering the sword.
