Mini-Chapter 1: Tournament The people of Tendaji were clamoring to get onto the grounds. It had been such a long time since the last tournament, and now that the wars had ended and lives had gone back to normal, everyone was ready for some fun and play! The announcement had gone out: there would be a new Tournament in Tendaji! And this time it was to be hosted in Oba. The King had opened up his home lands for everyone who was interested. There would be prizes, there would be goods and food and vendors from all over ready to strike up a deal with whoever willing. Who would join in the competitions this time? Sign-Ups will be open until May 16th. Simply post the appropriate form in this thread, so that we know who will be joining us.
Important Notes:
||. Approved Quest Characters are welcome to participate.
||. Sign-Ups will be held before the beginning of each Chapter, allowing new members to join in.
||. This chapter should last about 4-6 weeks.
||. You may continue to RP in any threads that began before the start of the Meta chapter [so get them started now!].
||. While participating in the Chapter, you may not start any new RPs or apply for growths.
||. You may create new journal entries/solos.
||. 7 posts in The Stands counts as 1 versatile growth requirement.
||. Participating in the tournament counts as 1 RP or battle growth requirement (only 1 regardless of how many battles are fought; and only RP or battle, not solo) and each battle will result in EXP and rewards.
||. Though this is a tournament, non-combatants can also participate as audience and RP within designated threads.
||. Prentices may battle. If a prentice wants to battle, roll for temporary stats as you normally would within this thread. You may only roll once for stats for the tournament. Also add the type of weapon that you will be using (we'll format the stats for you)
||. Non-combative classes may also battle, if they so choose. (Roll for stats in the same manner as prentices.)
||. Those with stats already, post them normally below.
||. Prentices wanting to use magic are allowed to temporarily choose 3 spells. This should also be stated in the form.
||. This tournament will have divisions! Prentices and non-battlers will compete in one division, stage 2 in another, etc.

|| Tournament battles may use any of the formats (no RP, basic RP, detailed RP).
|| Opponents may choose to use different formats (one might not want to RP, while the other does, or one may be basic, etc.)
|| Tournaments will NOT include any items or familiars. (Special attacks are still in play)
|| Because the Beast Master's special attack requires the use of familiars, instead they will be able to call on their attack to do double damage once per battle.
|| Battles are timed. Each battle will have one week to be completed, battles that exceed the time limit will be cut short and a winner will be announced based on the total dmg inflicted. (Ties are treated as two winners and both will advance)
|| EXP will be given as follows:

XXXWinner (no RP): 40 EXP
XXXWinner (basic RP): 60 EXP
XXXWinner (in-depth RP): 90 EXP
