Hair ▼ Lighter purple/lavender coloring with darker/warmer lavender near the bottom. Her hair is often in a thick braid down one side. She does sport a headdress that is weaved into her braid, with baubles and knitting typical to a dancer.
Eyes ▼ Standard Yaeli eyes, still glowing in this stage.
Skin And Crystals ▼ Dark olive skintone, one of the deeper ranges of a Yaeli. Crystals line her stomach and collar bone, along with any other peek-a-boo locations that could be highlighted in dance.
Body Type ▼ Curvy and short, but with toned legs and arms as most of her dancing involves aerobatics. Here is my main idea for the post I want.
Other Notable Features ▼ She has a round face, and her nose is small, but strong.
Clothing ▼ Dancer clothing, but in the duller tones as it still is fabric from Yaeli. The clothing features her crystals and curves. Ideal colors would be black/blues and grey, but basically this is all up to CC. The clothing is nice, but not the focus I guess. Some tentative examples are the right two.
Accessories ▼ Silver bracelets, chains, earrings and nose ring that stands out against her darker clothing and skin.
INTERESTS
▼ Dancing ▼ Itotia loves turning her movements into an art. Any time she is moving from once place to another, it is clear she is entire conscious of her steps and is making an effort to create something out of her actions. Her dancing isn't the most flowing or elegant of arts - she would much rather use her muscles to conduct hand-stands or flips - and it is very interpretive. She tries to tell a story of action, adventure, and strength whenever she takes to giving a performance. Additionally, she hardly gets paid for her work, as she would rather dance to please her gods than please her pocket.
▼ Incense ▼ Itotia grew up with the belief that burning select flora would creative positive energy around the household. She would often walk into her home to find it filled with a hazy smoke, the smell both soothing and cleansing of her mood and her energy. As a result, she often tries to burn something during the day to help reset her energy, and help ward away the negativity of others around her. The smoke also has a strong influence on her dancing style, as she grew up spending hours watching the burning smoke coil up into the air.
BACKGROUND
History ▼ Itotia grew up like any Yaeli youngling would, with the threat of divine repercussions at every turn. Despite the fact that her bedtime stories were filled with danger and Mainlanders, Itotia still flourished into a positive and spontaneous woman, following her passion of traveling the settlements and dancing to her own tune. Everything was happy, peaceful, and only required minor visits to the Sanctum for cleansing of poor luck.
However, everything changed when the Mainlanders finally ventured to their land. A fear she had never felt before dug deep into her bones as all of her training, her education, told her to be afraid. Nothing could push her past the ideas instilled in her youth, and so she fled before she ever got a good look at the Mainlanders. Itotia assumed she would be safe near the Sanctum, that none would be able to make their way so deeply into Yael.
But then, there were rumors of Mainlanders trying to explore their lands.
This fear was something she had never felt before, and something she needed to address by finding a safeheaven. As she began the long journey back to her hometown, she never dreamed she would encounter a Mainlander in the flesh. A woman with sparkling clothing of the brightest colors and sandy colored skin came out of the woods and into her path.
Struck by her newfound fear, Itotia recoiled and couldn't move. The woman spoke of needing directions, and that no one would be hurt. Itotia, so distracted by the interaction, simply pointed wildly and refused to move her eyes from the woman before her. Because of that, she didn't hear the men coming from behind, or notice when something was suddenly in her face. She didn't flail, as the scent was already in her lungs and burning.
She did, however, catch the soft, motherly smile of the woman who came close. As she fell into a deep slumber, Itotia swore she heard the promise of everything being alright.
But, the next time she would wake up, she would awake in a nightmare.

BASE TRAITS ▼ Passionate ▼ Mystical ▼ Resentful
POSITIVE TRAITS ▼ Passionate ▼ Itotia has always been a woman of passion. Whenever she is emotionally invested in something, it is often an overwhelming sense of that emotion. She loves wholeheartedly, holds deep grudges, and will give all of her energy to those around her. She is eager and excited to explore the things that interests her, and when she crashes at the end of the day she is out like a rock. This means she can become the most dedicated lover, or someone's worse enemy.
Additionally, this results in Itotia having a lot of issues controlling sudden bursts of emotion when she is faced with a difficult situation. She struggles with holding in her bursts of anger, and will bite off someone's head if they really hurt her feelings. However, if you are on her good side, or even a romantic interest, she will give her everything without worrying about the risk of being hurt.
▼ Spontaneous ▼ Itotia is full of impulse, at least when it doesn't involve some strange superstition she needs to worry about. Because of her constant nomad lifestyle and her passion for dancing and entertaining others, she will often act on those impulses. Mostly, this involves moving to a tune of her own, or even going out and getting a gift for a friend or stranger.
Everything the girl does is unplanned, but still with a bit of restraint in case she needs to worry about displeasing her gods. But the main point that comes across is how relaxed she always appears, as if she is a wild Imp just dancing through the day. She has no self-conscious bones in her body, and that shows with just how easy it is for her to act on her feelings.
NEGATIVE TRAITS ▼ Resentful ▼ Because of the strong passion that guides her, Itotia also feels strong negative emotion. While she may not try to hold negative energy, she doesn't take kindly to being crossed or hurt. She isn't the type to forgive easily, and will hold resentment for those who have shamed her, cursed her, or simply do her wrong. It is rare for her to act on this resentment, as she will likely just purge the energy with distractions or incense. She has never been driven to hurt others, but that means she just hasn't had anyone who has pushed her to that point yet.
▼ Xenophobic ▼ Like all Yaeli, Itotia has a crippling fear of Mainlanders. She physically deflates on the threat of them being near, and is unable to focus on anything but fight or flight. Since she does not fight, she will run or hide or go into a silent, near-catatonic state around anyone not Yaeli. This was never a real issue for her until the Mainlanders came, often she would simply purge herself of energy and heed warnings of the monsters. She never imagined they would be real, and as a result she never prepared herself for an interaction.
This type of fear and distrust is the guiding factor of how she will manage being in the mainlands. She is afraid, she is defensive, and she is slowly building up a grudge to fight back. Although she wont be doing it anytime soon, there is always the threat of her tipping point between flight, and fight.
STAGE TWO REQUIREMENTS ▼ Connected To ▼ Aseara ▼ Plot Basics ▼ Aseara is dealing with a lot of difficult transitions in the Red Amaryllis. When Afsana leaves to travel to the new island and find a dancer, Aseara is unware of exactly what is really about to happen. Afsana brings a very terrified, very unwilling girl back home, and Aseara sees first hand how Afsana trains dancers to become completely submissive. The relationship that Aseara and Itotia have will become a tense friendship at first, and evolve into a bond of siblings.
Aseara will be the only close person Itotia will have, and that relationship will take a long time to develop. Eventually, Itotia will join Aseara as her right-hand woman when the Wind girl takes over the Red Amaryllis.
▼ Impact on Aseara ▼
Basically, at this point Aseara is slowly building herself as a manager in the Red Amaryllis, while Afsana is working on getting one that is pure Oban. Aseara always had a plot where she would eventually take over the studio. The trigger for this would be seeing Afsana in a new light. Right now Aseara really treasures Afsana because the woman saved Aseara and gave her a home.
Eventually, however, she will see Afsana begin to treat the dancers in a different way...throwing them out for being pregnant, not supporting them if they are not 'ideal' any longer, and simply shoving her charity cases out without any support for them moving on. Aseara will have a moment where she has to check her own values versus Afsana, before pushing through and taking over the company.
Itotia is part of that catalyst. Itotia is not there to make things easy, and will basically be held as a slave both to her own fears and for Afsana. Aseara will morally have to decide if she steps in, overcoming Afsana's rules as well as her own strange fear of the Yaeli. Itotia will be part of the equation that gives Aseara the confidence to grow, and potentially trust others to help her become a bigger part of the company.
It very much is a two sided relationship. Aseara will work to help Itotia become stronger in the face of such crippling adversity, and Itotia will help Aseara build up an argument to throw Afsana out, which is a major plot point for that character. Considering I see Itotia taking ages to really grow out of where she currently is at, this plot will take some time.
The endgoal is for Itotia to grow confident and strong and overcome part of her fear of others, or at least fake it until she makes it. And in turn, she will develop as a reason for Aseara to take over, as well as become a strong support for Aseara to maintain control and direction once she has control.
CLASS QUEST ▼ Ideas ▼ Considering she gets 'abducted' I would be interested in this quest being that process, or right after that process. How did she get taken? What did Afsana say? What happened when she arrived to the mainland? First night in, the beginning of her training, basically this is an origin story of her arrival in Oba.
