His hands smoothed over the tabard he was wearing, feeling the threads of the stitching of the wyvern pattern it bore. Arrakis was very fond of the item that had taken him considerable trouble and... sickness... to get to. He shuddered at the memory of catching that damnable illness twice. Even after he'd been careful, even! He was always so careful, so it was really just his luck that'd happened. He'd come so close to having things go up spectacularly in flames.
Would he have tried again had he failed again? Of course, but that wasn't the point!
His luck was usually not so bad that he'd get that sick twice.
Something nagged at him, then, something about luck. Something that made him have to swallow hard to drown out the nausea that rose in his throat while he finished dressing himself. That flash was gone before he could really grab it, however, and he forced himself to shake it off. There was something more important to do.
With his weapon and gear ready, he rushed out to meet with the others.

He turned the sword over and over in his hand, running his fingers along the chains around it. ...No, not it. Her. Definitely a "her". That much he knew for sure. A "her" that needed something better than "sword" as an identifier. A name, a real name.
Arrakis took a deep breath, lying back a bit. He had to take careful consideration with this. This was an important weapon. He couldn't just give her any name.
Hadyn.
Hadyn... Well, he had been thinking of others, but... Hadyn seemed to snap into place, really. Better than the others he'd been considering. He murmured the name over and over to himself, acclimating himself to the sound and feel of it so as to make sure it became more automatic to him. It was odd, a bit, to have a name a person could actually have be attached to his sword. But... that name had resonated with him the most, and so he was going to go with it. What could he do, tell the feeling in his gut "no"?
He climbed to his feet, moving Hadyn slowly through the air, through light weapons drills. It amazed him how well she moved with him. The balance was better than he had admittedly expected, considering he'd found her in a pool of water underground, and considering the fact that she was wrapped in locked chains.
