There was what might have been a satisfying clunk as the bale dropped where it would best cause the most damage to the crumbling bridge, but he didn't stop to congratulate himself, just went right back at it - taking only a few moments to stretch out his cramping, abused muscles.

It took him a few minutes work, but eventually the Miller's son came up with another of those hefty kegs. With a grunt he lifted it and began his trek upwards once more.

A monster swooped at him, trying to take either the keg or his life but Andy managed to snarl at it and save the precious item. Unfortunately the damned shadow beast had sliced into the keg, letting some if it's contents splash out and onto his clothing, the sharp scent of distilled spirits stinging his nose as he settled behind someone with a table.

Andy was the King of ricochets, really he was. Lifting the keg had been the wrong idea, the spirits inside it that were already making his eyes water got him in the damned eyes and he went reeling back, not sure if he'd made a hit or not until he heard a clack-thunk. Oh thank God.

As much as he'd been tempted to see what he could do with healing the wounded, Arrakis instead opted to follow his leader to defend the ramparts. He wanted to join the offensive, but knew that he wasn't the kind of heavy hitter that they probably needed on the front lines right now. So, he was going to be useful elsewhere. He was certainly capable of dropping as many items on the bridge as he could in the shortest amount of time possible.
So he set his sights on a wagon barrel and began hauling it for the edge, keeping an eye out for any unwelcome guests.

It was good that Arrakis was being as watchful as he was. No sooner had he started moving for the drop point than something big on bigger wings came down out of the darkness at him. In his scramble to swipe at the monster with his sword, the barrel almost rolled away. His eyes widened as he saw it move, but he couldn't dive for it, not yet. Whatever it was that had attacked him, he managed to fend it off. But... his barrel was getting further away. However, he managed at the last second to recover it, grabbing close to him again.
Arrakis allowed himself only a small sigh of relief as he resumed his path towards the drop point. A barrel was big. It would help a lot. He couldn't lose it.

He almost cried when he saw yet another goddamned keg of spirits, but they were large and heavy and good for smashing the hell out of the bridge, so he shut down the part of his mind that wanted to rebel and hefted it.

This glorious time, before his muscles finally gave out and he needed to sit back and rest for a bit, Andy got everything right. The keg and chicken went plummeting down, chicken squawking angrily as they landed heavily against the growing pile of the crumbling bridge.
He was satisfied for the moment. He had done good work.
