Born to a couple of merchants, Xariy always wanted more. Her parents were nice enough people, getting by on what they needed but nothing more. It was a decent life, but not one filled by excitement by any means. The Oban nobles always thought they were better than them, even if they were the ones who brought them their precious supplies. It infuriated her that the nobles treated the lower class like they were lesser, and that her parents simply accepted it all. By the time she fourteen she was so sick of it all that she needed to get out in some way. That's when her parents got raided by the bandits. Of course they gave up without a fight. Neither of them knew how to fend of a group of bandits after all. It was then that the bandit leader noticed her attempt to fend them off.

Zen was ruthless, but showed her family mercy. That's when Xariy decided this was her chance. She would rather join up with a gang of bandits than be stuck being a simple merchant the rest of her life. At least if she was with the bandits she could potentially get rid of the Oban nobles who had given them so many problems. She left her parents without hesitation and was welcomed into Zen's group. Traveling with them and learning the ways of thieves was no easy task for Xariy. A lot of the others held no code or anything whatsoever, something that bothered her. Zen was always good to people as long as they didn't resist, but even he did things she didn't like. That's where she started to build up her own code.

1. Show mercy to those who are no threat.
2. Only kill if necessary.
3. Never steal from the poor.
4. Children are never to be harmed.

Xariy is always strict on her code and refuses to break it for anyone. Eventually this caused issue while traveling with Zen, and members of the bandit group wanted her gone. It was either challenge Zen for the group, or set off on her own. Being loyal to the man who had taught her everything did have its advantages and disadvantages. She refused to fight him, but in turn Zen sent her on her way with the supplies she needed to set out on her own. An even trade in exchange for the two of them not having to shed any blood.
