"If you say so, dearest. I just don't think I could be as kindhearted as you are. Must be that my dark little heart can't handle it all," she joked, running a hand through her own hair. She'd been having some issues on whether or not what she was doing was right as of late, but there wasn't much to be done about it now. She was supposed to be having fun and interacting with a pretty girl, not thinking about her own issues.

"So you like to explore then? And even went to war? I was there myself, you know. It was an interesting time to say the least."

Araie tilted her head at the girl, chewing on her bottom lip as she looked at her. There was something about how she had brushed off her own comment that didn't sit right with Araie, but she didn't know how to ask about it without sounding rude. After all, she had just met this girl. She couldn't start prying into her personal life and getting all up into her business. It wasn't her place. But maybe she could try a different tactic...? Ah, what was the danger. If she pushed too far, she was sure that Xariy would let her know. She didn't seem the type to sugarcoat anything, even if she really should.

"I do like to explore, yes. And I was there, during the last war, but it's not something I particularly like to think about. I don't mean to sound rude, but those are not exactly pleasant memories that I like to discuss," Araie replied stiffly, her words coming off colder than she had intended. While she hadn't personally lost anybody in the war, she had seen the cruel after effects of it. She used to think that battle was something fun and exciting, but the war had proven to her it was anything but. "If you wanted to discuss exploring more, however, I would be all for that. That is perhaps my favorite topic in the world, besides my magic."

"Ah yes, sorry for bringing up a sore subject. I forgot not everyone enjoys talking about such things," Xariy apologized, patting Araie on the shoulder again in an attempt to reassure her. She was curious about all things, so it was easy to go off on a different subject at least. She just enjoyed speaking to the girl.

"You really are interesting. What places have you explored? Any ruins? Or treasure?"

Araie laughed quietly, not surprised that the first thing Xariy asked about was treasure. Why was everyone so convinced that there was some secret treasure locked away in old ruins or something similar? She had never once found hidden treasure on her adventures, but she had found plenty of other exciting things. Maybe it wouldn't be considered exciting to others, but she found it fascinating.

"No treasure, I'm afraid. But I have found some terribly fascinating locations. Maybe I could show them to you one day?" Araie offered with a smile, holding her hand out to the Oban. Xariy seemed to be the type of person to enjoy a good adventure, and she certainly wouldn't mind having some new company once in awhile. Besides, a part of her felt like that, with time, her and Xariy could become good friends. She wanted to at least give it a chance.

"If you would allow such a thing then I would be honored to accompany you on a grand adventure, beautiful," Xariy winked, taking Araie's hand in hers and placing a light kiss upon it. "I can promise we will have a grand time. Maybe we will even find some treasure." It was definitely an exciting thought for her. Maybe she could even convince her favorite wind boy to tag along with them and be a wonderful protector. Though to be fair she was sure Araie could protect herself just fine. She was simply glad she'd met someone so willing to interact with her. Not many were so willing to deal with a shady Oban like herself every day.
