And yet another wagon full of poor travelers. It was just her luck really. Any other thief would have been willing and ready to go and raid their little supply caravan, but not her. She had her code to follow after all. She didn't spend this much time following it to simply give up on it when things got desperate. So here she sat as caravan after caravan passed by. Grumbling to herself, she pulled out one of her knifes and began to play with it, attempting to balance the tip on her finger as she watched for some other wagon to pass by. Xariy had practically been sitting there all day in the same tree, the sun's incredibly uncomfortable rays giving her quite the sunburn if she did say so herself. It would all be worth it when she finally got the jump on someone.

How about that.

It looked like her luck had changed when she spotted another group. But an Alkidike? In Oba? How odd. Perhaps the woman had some decent loot though. Time to find out.

Hope this works. <.<

To say that Yitzah was a 'woman' was an overstatement in so many ways. She was an overgrown child, her yellow skin tanned to a burnt green by the sun of Oba as she glared around her. She'd been here long enough to not hate the sun, and her company – the dark-skinned brothers and other random travellers – was not unpleasant despite the strange looks they gave her. Looks she didn't care about. Odd, that she had gotten worse from her own Sisters for her bad attitude than she got here among the fire tribe. But no, here she was not the misbehaving pitiable child. Here, she was just strange, one of many oddities and thus not so noticable. It wasn't so bad.

Yitzah had made her way to the periphery of the group so she could keep her eyes out for some hunting. If she wanted meat – for herself, and maybe for the janarim and the brothers (in that order, if she felt like sharing), she needed to hunt. She was a huntress, or she would be, and she had to practice. She could catch up later, of course.

There were not many trees in Oba, and seeing one of the strange, dry, droopy trees gave her an idea. A creature of the jungle, Yitzah liked trees, and such a tree would give her a great vantage point. She stood beneath it, contemplating climbing it as her caravan passed by...

Cursing her luck as the Alkidike wandered closer to the tree she perched in, Xariy attempted to formulate a plan to stay hidden from her. Moving to get away from her would draw too much attention to herself, but just sitting there wouldn't help too much either. As rushed as it all was, she had no choice but to go ahead and make herself known. Pulling out her knives, she walked quickly along the tree branch she had been on before hopping down behind the unsuspecting Alkidike. Not her grandest plan to be sure, but hopefully it would get the job done. She could maybe even sweet talk them into just giving her some things if she was lucky. She did hate to fight on an empty stomach. And with Zen's old people still going after her....pickings were pretty slim at the moment.

"Why hello there my dearest, Alkidike. You seem to be far from home now don't you?" Xariy smiled sweetly at her, twirling her knife around her fingers as she spoke. "You seem to have quite a nice caravan with you. Do you mind donating to the cause of a poor woman in need of some food?" she continued on, laying on the sweet tone more.

Yitzah had just decided to make herself grumpily comfortable in the shade when something came to the ground behind her. She whirled, reaching for her bow, an arrow already nocked to the string as she realized that it wasn't a Dretch somehow come to attack her in the desert. She relaxed slightly. Just some Oban. She glared at her, a silent what-do-you-want.

And that was a good question indeed, because this woman was clearly not to be trusted. She may not have been a Dretch, but she was a predator none the less. So was Yitzah. It took one to know one. She certainly talked a lot though, to get to the point. Which, apparently, was that she wanted what Yitzah and the brothers had. ”No.” said Yitzah bluntly, ”I'm not giving you nothing.” She wasn't giving some strange Oban things that were or were not hers.

Well that was a short response. Though she really should have expected it. Oh well. She was still incredibly bored so any interaction, even a hostile one, was more interesting than sitting in the tree with no sound for another few hours. She'd just have to make the most of what she could do.

"No problem," she laughed, leaning up against the tree she had been sitting in moments before. "So what brings an Alkidike out this far? I thought you ladies didn't like leaving your home." It was strange to see an Alkidike out so far, especially one that traveled with earthlings. It was definitely more interesting than anything she'd seen in a bit.
