Father: [Kelsou] -
Mother: Unknown
Siblings: -n/a-
Surrogate Family: Due to Patreen being abandoned several family members are through his raising alone.
Father: The Headmaster/Lethloudus - While this male was one of the elite assassins to serve the Dark Lady. The sudden appearance of a helpless infant sparked his paternal instincts something fierce. He has no children of his own, never thought he would. He runs the Assassins Guild which sent Patreen to Merikh. He has very little respect for a dishonorable soul. Considering his line of work many would laugh at that phrase.
Shockingly he does have a code, a set of morals and the depth to process compassion. But. He understands that in the Assassin world. There is very little room for Compassion or High Morals. A code of honor however, yes. There are three key things he expects his Assassins to understand.
1. Your End. Lies with your Master.
2. Never turn on a ally assassin.
3. Even if their mere children. Young assassins are to be maimed then attempts at turning them should occur.
4. Brainwashing is fun.Papa: Ottelio - the mage lover to the Headmaster. Ottelio isn't an Assassin, though many of the older Assassins are convinced he should be. The only reason he's disrespected is due to them trying to goad him into their world. Its...really not working. He's a gentle male with young Patreen, instantly taking the defensive if the child is harmed in any manner. He joins the Guild as a live in housekeeper for the Headmaster.
The event which lead to their meeting wasn't a good one. Ottelio was the magic slave to a tyrannical Oderite. Lethloudus was the assassin contracted to take the Orderite out. He did....while Ottelio was under him. After that Lethloudus wouldn't let the other of his sight. Even if Ottelio inherited a hefty sum from his former Master, the Oblivionite fled the town that he had been enslaved in. Traveling he found that he was being followed. Inviting the assassin to share an evening meal opened up the two to friendship.
One drunken night at a tavern opened up the door to everything else. Now Ottelio didn't mind his beloved was a assassin, in fact he aided in a few contracts with his magic. Now as the years passed the two were steadfast partners, married as per their tradition. When Patreen first appeared Ottelio was unsure, he didn't think Lethloudus wanted children. But at seeing how the gruff assassin was with the child he opened his heart as well. To him, Patreen is his son.
