There was a big fountain in the area where Merikh and his family lived, one of many signs of it being the nicest neighborhood that one could live in. It was here that the were going to be meeting with the twins and discussing what it was that the lot of them would be doing today. The twins expected them to be off to get their next job before heading out once more, plans that had been changed by the arrival of the new boy Patreen. Merikh didn't mind too terribly, not when the newest assassin was a gift to him from his beloved mothers. No, he'd see to it that the boy was taken into their group, trained, and made a powerful member of the Oblivionites just as Merikh was striving to be. "Once we find the twins we will get them up to speed with everything, then head out. Word will have to wait a little bit, we need to test our new friend after all." He said, looking in the direction of the masked boy, before his tail swished from side to side. The kid was a rather strange one wearing those masks of his, but he couldn't say he had a problem with that. Everyone had their own style after all. Giving a pleased sound he said, "I see them ahead, come on you three, let's go tell them them news." Merikh said, quickening his steps a little to close the gap between himself and the twins. The twins, Mallory and Malvalio, turned as the group approached, the two of them going a little wide eyed at the sight of the kid that was with Merikh before Lory instantly asked, "Love child of yours, Boss?" A question that actually had Merikh's cheeks getting a little hot which only had the twins laughing. Shaking his head Merikh quickly explained, "This is Reeny, he is a part of the same guild as Yoyo and he's going to be joining us." Crossing his arms over his chest he then said, "You know that it would be one hell of a scandal if I had a kid just show up out of no where, so please don't make such jokes, someone is bound to overhear you and actually believe it." The last thing he wanted to do was cause that sort of drama as far as his family was concerned. He was sure that they would see to it such rumors were quashed but he'd rather they didn't start in the first place. Chuckling a bit Lory gave a nod, "Yeah, yeah, I will behave myself and only make such jokes when we aren't in the middle of fancy-ville." He said, giving a smile. Valio turned them to look Patreen over, taking a step closer, then said, "He looks a bit young, are you sure that we should be taking him out with us? I mean last time we were on a pretty dangerous job." He reminded Merikh, not wanting to see the kid get gobbled up by a hungry dragon because he was brought along somewhere that he shouldn't be. "We are going to bring him out for a few hunts, get a feel for how he does in dangerous situations, and decide what sort of work we want to take from there." Merikh explained to the twins, "Now, the question becomes do you all want to come along and watch him hunt? Or do we want to split up, some of us go with him hunting, the others check out potential work?" He asked, waiting for a general consensus amongst the group so that they could be on their way. The sooner the better as Merikh didn't care for standing around idle too long.

Patreen had slept for half the night before nightmares had woken the child. He was soundless when he woke. But he remained in the bed, cocooned in his blankets and hoping sleep would take him again. It didn't. The child spent that morning half awake and wishing for some sort of miracle. He was wearing his usual mask as they walked. While his training had him looking around to make sure there were no threats, his natural childish curiosity was also spiking so he could look around. He nodded at his Master words, "I can't wait to meet them Master." he said turning his head to the other. He glanced to the twins as they approached them. Tilting his head as the idea of twins always fascinated him. The first words out of one's mouth however....was not. The child blinked rapidly before looking over at Yolana, "I take it that's their type of humor, Mentor? Its not that amusing..." He didn't like the thought of someone bad mouthing his Master. Though he supposed the twins were excellent comrades he was iffy due to his own insecurities. He stepped right back up to Valio as he crossed his little arms, "I can handle myself." He looked back to his Master. Waiting for further instruction. He would prove himself against a dragon.

Yolana reached out a hand, patting him on the head, not wanting the boy to get too riled up just because the twins had an odd sense of humor. Not to mention that something like a scandal of a random child popping up was an actual thing, though perhaps Patreen was aware of such a thing and that was why he wasn't amused? She didn't say anything though, not wasting time with words when they were out and about and she needed to keep an eye out for danger. Merikh glanced toward the boy when he stepped forward, looking as though he was gonna start a fight with Valio despite the fact that the two of them were so vastly different in size, age, and experience. Giving a bit of a laugh Merikh said, "Easy now, Reeny, no picking fights with my Corporals, we need them." He said, glancing toward Valio, "Be nice, Valio, no teasing the new member of our group... and both of you, no fighting with each other until he has more training." After looking around the group, taking in the way that the twins had already gotten the boy riled up, he said, "How about this, Valio and Lory will go with Igone to figure out next job, Yoyo and I will go with Reeny and find him a dragon or two to try his skills out again. Once the two of you get the jobs list bring it to us." Best that he separate the twins from Reeny to get the boy to settle down a bit, then he'd reintroduce the two of them to the little assassin. Igone nodded, "I will keep an eye on them." He said, then looked at the masked boy, "You help Yolana to keep an eye on Merikh for us, alright? Work hard with your dragon hunting and I'll see you soon." He gave Merik and Yolana a smile before turning to lead the twins off, something that the two looked sad about, as though they wanted to tease the prickly little assassin more. They'd save it for later though, for now they had their orders.

The child was pouting under his mask feeling as if the adults were just humoring him at this point. Sighing with a small huff of air he felt Yolana pat his head the child’s shoulders dropped as if his Mother was placating him. He glanced over at his Mentor nodding in a silent agreement to let the slight drop. It wasn’t fair to the twins that he got all up in arms about their method of amusement. He blinked as he felt his Master shift. The child instantly alert to Merikh when his Master spoke. The child nodded like he was properly scolded. He listened to the elder male nodding at the twins. The young assassin turned as Igone spoke, “I will. Maybe when we regroup you can help me with a few fighting aspects I’m lacking?” The child did have a issue with aiming with projectiles. Patreen’s thought pattern was that if he was apart of this group then why not learn from them all in aspects most others wouldn’t think a assassin would have. Make himself a more well rounded fighter. Even if stealth was his main goal, it was good to make sure you could cover yourself in other areas. He then pondered on what dragons he wanted to take on to prove himself. Nothing of the more...higher power sort. Such as the Light or Dark dragons. Maybe start out small. But not too small, Yasli were beneath him to take on. Maybe a Firani or Piesieo. He heard about them. But again he wasn’t sure. They weren’t beneath him, but he didn’t think he would get away from those without a new scar. Even if a scar would make him more intimidating.

Merikh watched as his group split in half, with the twins going along with Igone, "They'd better find some interesting work." He murmured, not wanting to end up with a boring job because the one requesting the works to be done was someone attractive. They'd had that happen once so far, the lot of them finding themselves helping out a magic user that needed an escort to find magical components. The only reason that he'd let it slide was because the job had paid well and it definitely increased morale. He'd rather have an interesting job led by someone less attractive then something painful boring led by a pretty sort any day though. Probably just him though. After making sure that everything was in place he started forward, motioning for Yolana and Patreen to follow, "We won't be going too terribly far from the city, just out to the forest, from there we will search around, find a dragon or two, and you will show off the skills that you were taught up to this point." He told Patreen, his tail swishing behind him as he walked, wings closed against his back. He rather liked having another assassin about, it was a sign of prestige, having not one but two assassins serving him. He wouldn't be able to brag though if one of them wasn't as well trained as the rest of the group though. They would need to work hard with Patreen to get him up to snuff, it might take some time, but it would be worth it in the end. "So long as you have the drive I am sure we will be able to get you to Yoyo's level one day." He told Patreen, glancing toward Yolana, "Well, perhaps. I am sure while we train you to get you to where she is now she will be advancing herself as well." Patreen might not be able to catch her but at least he could follow in her very skilled footsteps. Yolana gave Patreen a smile and a nod, feeling that with the right guidance that he'd be able to do well enough. So long as he was as driven as the rest of the group he would prosper just like everyone else had, something that came along with having a leader like Merikh who seemed to be unable to sit still for long, wanting to push himself to greater and greater heights, something that not every noble would do. There were many who would just sit around idle and lazy, Merikh was not one of those.

Patreen nodded as he followed his Master, head tilting at the male's mutter. He let it pass as he looked around the town they were in. Buildings were tall. Shadows were deep. The child stepped quicker to be on his Master's exposed side, double taking as he watched his Masters tail move. That looked interesting. He looked back as his own rear end, pouting beneath his mask at his apparent lack of tail. He couldn't wait for his to grow in. The child bounced in his steps now at the talk of dragons, "Finally! I heard a lot of stories about dragons from the older assassins. The older assassins who hadn't been sent out would take trips in teams of three to take on dragons together. The Headmaster wouldn't let me join them. He said i was too small." the child quickened his pace to stand not exactly at Merikh's side. Just close enough.

Merikh's tail gave a little twitch when Patreen said that he hadn't gone out after dragons before, that the 'Headmaster', whoever that was, thought him too small. That was complete silliness if you asked him, but he would make sure to fix that mistake of theirs by bringing the boy out to face off against some dragons. Turning to look at the little, masked assassin he said, "I was about your age when I started hunting dragons, so now is as good a time as any for you to do the same. I am sure you want to get strong, yes? You can't use the excuse of being 'small' forever after all. Especially when you might end up a lot bigger one day."
As the gates to the city came into view he turned to look toward Patreen, giving him a serious look, "We are going to find you a dragon to fight with and we are going to let you do so on your own... but don't think that we are abandoning you to it. If you get in over your head just come back to me and I will help you out. We are testing your training, not just tossing you out to be eaten by a Ysali. Don't risk your life, got it?"

Patreen would later admit, his more childish part of his mind giggled at the tail twitch. He then looked back up to his Master's face, everything in him knowing that right now he was where he needed to be. The child nodded, "Yes Master."
He looked out to the forests excited about what he was to encounter...
