The battle was over. They had slayed three dragons. Patreen was a bloody mess and much to the childs displeasure he was told to wash up. Pouting like any child would at being told what to do. But he relented because that was what his Master wanted. Standing he looked around before spotting his cast aside outer robe. Blinking he walked over to it and thought. Taking off one clawed glove he carefully picked up the bloodless cloth. Looking back to his Master the child spoke. “I’m going to find a spot to clean up. I heard water earlier so I won’t be far off.” With that the child went off to find an ice cold stream to wash himself off in. Shivering he made quick work of his wet clothes wringing them out before redressing. The child had slight shivers wrack his slender frame but the warmth from his dry outer robe helped. He thought on his experiences so far with his new family. Meeting the mothers of his Master for the first time, the mentor who had dropped him off with them had very calmly told him three things. One, females were scary. Mothers even more so. Two, he was going to see the headmaster at least every other year till he had earned a skull for his Master. Patreen felt his heart drop at that. The Headmaster was a Father to him, not being able to see him every day was going to be tough. And Three, Patreen was to never mention his family name the Headmaster gave him. To everyone he was Patreen. The meeting with the two females went well, the child was cooed about and generally felt like a baby animal put inside a child’s room. They had introduced themselves then explained that Merikh, his Master, would be checking with them soon. He would enjoy his new life with them and everyone else. His first impression of his Master was simple. The male was sheer power. Patreen remembers that well, Merikh was full of confidence and easily interacted with the two companions he had at the time. Patreen himself felt in awe before he introduced himself. Iggy was warm enough just based on his body language the child could tell the other male was inviting. Yolana was going to be difficult, Patreen now confirmed. The twins...that was a rocky start but the child smiled now. The twins were like elder siblings, he had a few close trainees back at the Guild who would fit that label as well. As the child walked back to his Master with his thoughts, he looked up to smile at the male beneath his mask. Word Count: 447/1200

"That was interesting, don't you think, Yoyo? I worry that maybe the little assassin might be a bit too aggressive though. Throwing himself into a battle like that, it made him feel more like warrior material then sneaky material." Merikh mused, glancing in the direction that the boy had gone to clean himself up. It was a brutal way of fighting though he had to admit he was pretty impressed. The kid was so determined not to let anything near Merikh, something that was quite similar to Yolana's own desires. The only problem being that Merikh didn't want to see the boy hurt because he decided to throw himself into another battle like that. He risked serious injury after all, "We have have to see about training himself a bit, to sharpen his skills. That way at least if he insist upon acting in that manner that he will at least be able to dodge any retaliation that his opponents are sure to make in turn."
Yolana crossed her arms over her chest, glancing around the area that they had battled with the dragons, quiet for a long moment before speaking up to Merikh as she did only when it was important, "She wasn't with them." Meaning the big female Ayrala dragon that was leading a pack, the female that they had been sent after. The fact that she wasn't with the trip that they had just fought meant that she was still out there somewhere. They were going to need to stay on guard since she might appear and attack at any moment. They likely should have insisted the boy stayed with them, but he seemed to be insisted that he cleaned up. Likely didn't want to offend Merikh. Glancing toward Merkih she took in the manner that he was looking around, something that put her on edge a bit. She'd been with him for a while and as such was able to read his body language easily enough. Something was up, something that had the assassin preparing for whatever was coming. It was as she was reaching for her knife that she saw it, the way many shadows were sliding along the ground around them.
"You noticed too?" Merikh said, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword, his tail lashing, wings twitching. The battle had drawn the attention of others it would seem those others being more dragons. There was a moment where he was glad though, Patreen was off getting cleaned up meaning that the two of them were going to be able to clean up this mess before the younger boy came back. He would hate to have his new little follower injured because they were overwhelmed by the numbers after all. He had been able to hold his own against one Ayala but Merikh wasn't all that certain about how he would against such a big group of them. Lifting his head so that he could take in the dragons over head, watching the way their dark forms moved against the brighter sky he set about counting them. More then he'd like to deal with he thought to himself, drawing his sword, before he set about debating how they were going to go about dealing with the female and her pack. He saw her up there, the one that was nearly half again as big as the others. It was no wonder she was in charge.
Turning to Yolana he said, "We will need to be prepared for their first charge." He said to her, his tail giving a little twitch, before he heard a familair sound, that of footsteps. Not small, light ones that would indicate that it was Patreen. Instead, as he turned, he saw the twins standing there, "Lory, Valio, get ready, there is a battle brewing." He told the pair of hammer wielding twins.
"Yeah, that was why we came to find you, we saw them starting to gather in the sky. What did you do to rile them up, Boss?" Lory asked as he walked over to where Merikh and Yolana were standing along with his twin.
"Have you seen Igone or is he still scouting out a cave still?" Valio asked next, hefting his hammer up and onto his shoulder, looking up toward the sky, watching the dragons circle. He got a nod from Merikh about the location of their archer. It meant fighting without ranged attacks but it should be alright so long as they were careful. At least that was what Merikh was thinking before he spotted Patreen.
The leader of the group froze for a moment before he was moving forward to where the boy was standing, easily sweeping him up on one arm, holding his blade in the other. He lifted the boy, sitting Patreen on his shoulder, "Prepare yourself, another battle is starting, Reeny." He warned the boy before he moved to face the oncoming hoard of Ayrala. He had just barely turned around before the dragons overhead started to dive down toward the Oblivionite hunting party...

(( I was thinking that the group of dragons could appear bigger then the four they rolled for. The extras can be those that the other fight with. I figure the last to engage will be the big female in charge of the group. Let me know if that is all good by you. ^_^ ))

Patreen had barely noticed his Master move. The child letting out a soft gasp as the other lifted him to his shoulder. Looking around the child spotted at least several dragons now around. Looks like they poked the hive with those others. Gritting his teeth as he softly gulped the child felt one of his hands settle on Merikh’s shoulder. The small claws digging in slightly betraying the child’s fear. He looked around, a tremor through his body as he spotted one that was way bigger than the others. The creature, for there was no way that could be considered a dragon….well it could. BUT. He’s a child and children like to embellish. Which is what he was doing right now. The creature towered over the other dragons. Twisting horns made the thing look evil, the narrow bright eyes didn’t help. Patreen swore later that the creatures claws was tipped red with blood. He squared his shoulders prepared to defend his Master from the thing. His voice was soft as he spoke. “M-master.” he squeaked. Wincing as he gulped to get his voice under control. After a deep breath he tried again. “Master. Please put me down. I want to be able to fight.” Once the child was on his feet he slid into a defensive stance. Standing in front of the adult male the child tried speaking again. “I won’t let them hurt you Master.” This is what he was taught. Never allow your Master to fall under attack. The Master was not allowed to bleed or scream your name for aid. The child recalled a memory from his days in the Guild halls. [[ Patreen was small. Smaller than normal boys his age. Back then he wasn’t deformed so his rounded face was visible to all. He smiled up at his Mama. The male watching from the sidelines as the Headmaster cleared his throat.
“Patreen. When facing something much larger than you, keep your size in mind. You can move quicker than larger opponents.” the male cut himself off as he easily swiped the child ankel from mid air. He rose the child at little to look down at him. “I wasn’t finished young man.”
“....sorry.” the small voice echoed. Mama stifled a chuckle as the Headmaster kept the child in his hold as he went on with his advice.
“As I was saying. You can move quicker if your opponent underestimates you. If they think you can’t hit them. You will. If they think you’ll lose. You’ll win. All you have to do...is clear your mind. Focus on your target and above all. Protect your Master.” with that the male reached down to cradle the child before setting him on his feet. “Now...lets do this again…”]] Patreen came back to his current reality. He had to take this slow. If these creatures were his opponents chances were they knew he was weaker than them. Patreen was no fool, he knew he was. All he had to do was protect Merikh...his targets were directly before him. Taking this as an assassin was foolish in the child’s mind. If he attempted to be sneaky...they would find him. His sneak skills were sub-par at best. He glanced back. “Master...what do we do?” He would follow orders this time. He would trust his Master with his life. He already was trusting the male with his back. ((word count: 1017/1200)) ((Sure~ sounds fun xD))

Merikh turned his head from side to side, taking in the number of dragons, where they were all located, where his men were located, and then as Patreen suddenly asked him what they were to do he called out, "Lory, Valio, the two of you are in charge of smashing heads and front legs! We want to throw them off balance!" He turned to Yolana next, "You go for their eyes. If we don't get them why should they?" Not to mention that blinding them would put them completely on the defensive if they weren't already knocked senseless by the twins and their giant hammers. Last but not least was Patreen, he didn't know if he liked the idea of sending a little guy into battle but he couldn't very leave him out and tell him to sit down while the adults took care of things. He was an assassin in training after all, he couldn't baby him. Easing him down onto his feet he patted the masked boy on the head, "Reeny, put those claws of yours to good use, tear up the webbing on their wings, take away their ability to fly away from this battle. They wanted a fight, they'll get a fight." He said, before he moved forward into the battle, sword in hand, going for the first dragon that he saw the twins take their hammers to. They needed deal with these dragons in a swift, precise manner, to make sure that not even a one got away. If they had even an ounce of the intelligence the big female had then they would just rebuild the group and get back to hassling travelers. The first of dragons, with its legs hobbled by the twins, collapsed before him... and he was able to remove the dragon's head as easily as one sliced through soft fruit. The two pieces of the dragon barely hit the ground before they crumbled away, leaving behind glittering orbs. He gave them a glance before he continued onward toward the next dragon. He felt that he could do this easily enough, provided everyone stuck to the tasks assigned to them. Yolana and the twins were fine, it was just Patreen he worried about... though he couldn't do so, not on the battlefield. The battlefield was no place for being soft, Patreen was going to have to hold his own and follow the assignment given to him. He was a strong young man, as such Merikh told himself he didn't have to worry. (( Word Count: 1259/1200 ))

The child heard all the tasks given out. Committing his to memory the child looked at the first dragon brought down. Master already took care of that one. He knew better than to go after a dragon the twins didn’t cripple. So deciding to work with the others and not strike out on his own like he most likely would of done. He took off, easily slipping and weaving around scaled limbs. He ran up a rock wall flipping to lodge a claw in the wing of the next dragon the twins went after. As he came down the child made sure to lash out with his other hand. Keeping both hands busy with his task. As soon as he was done with that wing, Patreen kicked off the rock wall to run over the dragons back. Slashing the other wing as he came down to land on his feet. This time he didn’t stop. The young assassin quickly took off after the next dragon. Easily scaling up its side he leaped shredding through the wing itself, landing in front of the creature he weaved through the front legs. Slashing at them for good measure before grabbing the other wing and climbing up. Making sure to drag his claws through he flipped off of that dragon. Sliding back to pant. He had to work on his stamina. This was tiring. Patreen was still for too long...a wicked tail side swipped the poor assassin past a few of the party into the rock wall behind them. Patreen landed with a sickening crack as a small fracture appeared on his mask. When the body hit the mask shattered, exposing Patreen to the others yet again. The child fell to the ground...out cold. Again. Due to a dragon. Again. He was not going to be a happy assassin when he came to.
