The rocky path they were on showed signs of dragons of all sizes. Patreen took this moment to look around for any small ambushes that might have been set up for them. Why the thought of dragons setting up ambushes even crossed his mind was something the child didn’t spare a second on dwelling. The sights around him were stunning. The light playing among the rock walls, the peaks of snow glittering above them adding into the ethereal effect. The child was excited. What did these dragons look like? How would they attack? Did they use tactics which showed intelligence or pure instinct? All these and more whirled through his mind as he lightly stepped from rock to rock as their path started to get rougher to traverse. The adult were leading. The child following. Patreen was looking around before he spotted the slither of a tail. The child blinked then made to reach out to grasp his Master before the sound of a deafening roar was heard. Patreen saw the tail swing down, the child pushing his Master forward into a rocky clearing in front of them as he curled. His feet connected with the tail using it to spring forward he flipped in the air. Landing on the rock wall he slid down calling out, “Master! Mentor! Are you okay?” The child stopped as he looked up at around to the trio of gray scaled dragons snarling down at them. He gulped before staring at one who’s tail looked oddly famaliar. He blinked seeing it as the tail he just used to bounce off of. Flexing his claws he would wait for a word from his Master before attacking. He already had his target in mind. No one...and he meant no one was allowed to even hint at an attack to his Master. Word Count: 306/900

Merikh was looking from side to side, his heart starting to thump a little in his chest from excitement though there was also the very hint of anxiety. Of all the things that he had fought in his life there had only been two that had been him, one of them being the Ayrala dragons of Ayr. The creatures that tore his chest open, leaving him bleeding heavily, were it not for the fact that his magic wielding mother had been present he wasn't sure what might have happened to him. As it was he had been stuck on bed rest for quite a while, something that he disliked greatly, feeling at the time as though it had caused him to fall behind a bit in his training. In his mind at least, his mothers on the other hand had wanted nothing more then for him to rest at that time, insisting that he stay abed for even longer then he felt that he should have. He understood though, they just wanted to keep him safe, at the time thought it had been so painfully irritating to be stuck and forced to rest.
Turning to look at Yolana he gave her a smile, before looking forward once more. Were it not for the battle against the Ayrala dragons he might not have been gifted with Yoyo as his first bodyguard so maybe he shouldn't complain too much? He was more then pleased with her services to this point after all, and he could only hope that Reeny came to serve him as well. Just as he was thinking that he found himself suddenly getting shoved forward, something that surprised him a bit, rarely getting shoved around in such a manner. He turned around to look in the direction of the one that had pushed him... only to find Patreen bouncing away. It took him but a moment to see why he'd been shoved forward though, there were a trio of dragons starring down at them, and the little assassin was trying to save him, "He really is too cute." He said to Yolana with a bit of a chuckle, "Alright, we will let him try to fight one of them, but you keep a close watch over him. We don't want him to lose or else it's going to hurt his pride too much. We want him to become strong like you after all. I will deal with the other two, we can have them trying to catch him off guard or attack him from the sides or behind." He knew that dragons, especially in groups, could be dangerous. Best that they dealt with them quickly.
Drawing his massive sword he started forward, his long tail lashing from side to side, wings twitching, as he went. He looked back and forth between the dragon on the left and the one in the middle, those two being the furthered from Patreen. He'd leave the one on the right for the boy to tussle with, and if it looked as though he were in any sort of danger Yolana would cut the creature down where it stood. He knew that she was quite good at watching the backs of those that she was traveling with, she did that for him all the time after all.
One of the big dragons gave a great roar as Merikh started toward them, before it came lunging forward. Merikh gave a toothy grin, hands tightening their grip on his sword, and in one upward arch of his sword he sent a dragon's head flying. It had already crumbled away before either piece hit the ground, something that had Merikh laughing before he turned to Yolana, "You see that, Yoyo? One slice! Now all I have to do is beat that hybrid b*****d and I will be unstoppable for certain!" He called over to her before turning back to face the second of the dragons that he'd 'claimed' as his.

The child looked the creature over. Its large gray scaled head seemed to fade from a rustic gray around its snout to a near black as it went towards its horns. The horns were interesting. A large pair sat high on the creatures head, spiraling back half way before a second smaller set slide under them. Near white scales circled those near solid pitch black eyes. If the child was lying he’d say that this wasn’t scary. He wasn’t a liar so...he would admit to himself that he was scared. Glancing out of the corner of his eye he saw his Master take on the other two. The male was sheer power. He felt pride at being in service to that male. Looking back to the dragon Patreen flexed his clawed hands. Feeling a surge of something course through him the little assassin panted slightly under his mask. The edges of his vision got blurry as his mind summoned the image of his Mama. Their face after his nightmares started. Their heartbroken eyes when he woke screaming. He could feel something clawing at his soul from within. He didn’t know what it was he felt, all he knew was it scared him more than this overgrown satchel in front of him. He felt a panic take hold of him from within. Terror swelled to nearly break him in that instant. He almost did break but he heard the glee from his Master. One would think a boast like that wouldn’t be of any comfort in this situation. Patreen thought differently. He smiled beneath his mask. His more childish side answering that boast with his own. He felt the panic calm as he heard the rocks shift announcing the Dragon’s movement. The child flicked his eyes up watching a grey scaled tail slither along the rocks. The Dragon slowly crawled down. Apparently tired of just staring the child down. Patreen took a deep calming breath. Focusing his attention to the soon to be dust target. The child stood still as one large clawed foot landed heavily on the ground next to him. He didn’t flinch as the dragon roared causing his outer robe to flap as his braid whipped. He slowly rose his head to look the creature in the eye. When the dragon acted by slamming its claw in the ground. One would see the child’s flapping outer robe. The dragon snarled then whirled its head. There was no body under its claw. It didn’t feel that the child had been crushed by its attack. A rapid click against the rocks had it swing its head upwards. Only to see nothing. A roar erupted from it as Patreen’s small clawed hand struck its shoulder. Patreen grunted as his claw merely punctured the thick hide not really tearing. It drew blood but those were mere pinpricks. Finding his hand stuck the child curled up one side as the Dragon’s claw swatted him off. A sharp cry as he heard his arm crackle, but not break. He was just shaken. The child rolled to slid in the dirt. Mask still in place as he glared up….a soft exhale. Then he shot back claws glittered as he slid under the dragon. Meaning to slid all the way out the child let out a gasp as he felt his feet collide with the Dragon’s front leg. He miscalculated! His claws opened up the Dragon’s underbelly the creature bleeding out….instead of rolling out. Patreen did what he was taught. He went overboard. Reaching up with his other hand, the small assassin clawed his way up to where he heard the heart beating. Plunging his hand in...the child fell into the dust as he rammed through the creatures heart. Sitting there he removed his mask as he felt it had gotten hard to breath. There was blood clinging to him but he smiled brightly… “I did it!” Word Count: 961/900

As the second dragon came toward Merikh he gave it a long look, glanced toward where Patreen was, battling it out with his dragon, and then looked back again. He gave a flick of his weapon to rid it from the dragon's blood that was clinging to it before he started toward the second of the dragons that decided to take him on. He was sure that Patreen would be fine, not only because he knew he had to have confidence in the little assassin but because he saw Yolana over near to him. She was there to strike if the need arose, though it wouldn't be help that came too easily. No, she would make sure that Patreen had his chance before stepping in, she'd never do so prematurely, not when she seemed as interested in honing the boy's skills as Merikh himself was.
The older Oblivionite's tail snapped from side to side before Merikh started forward, his weapon arching out. It struck one first leg, and then the other, throwing the dragon off balance, before he thrust the blade up through the dragon's bottom jaw and into it's skull. The dragon gave a violent twitch before it started to crumble away. Merikh gave a chuckle as he gave his sword another flick before sheathing it on his back once more. With that done he moved to gather up the various Ayrala dragon orbs, tucking them into his pack, before he walked over to where the boy was fighting his dragon. As he approached his little assassin was able to put the Ayrala dragon down in a very efficient, if bloody manner. He was sure it might have a little to do with the fact that the last dragons the boy had deal with hadn't been kind to him. This would likely help him as far as his confidence levels went.
"Very good job, Reeny, I am impressed." He told the boy who was sitting on the ground now, mask off, struggling to catch his breath. Reaching out Merikh gave his hair a little pet, "Gather up your orbs and we will go find the others. I am sure you want to show off to Iggy and the twins that you were able to take down such a big dragon all by yourself." He told Reeny in an encouraging manner.
