There was still a chill in the air, not that she would of noticed with the scarf wrapped around her throat and partially covering her mouth to help warm the air before it entered her lungs. Her purple and black hair was tied back in a rather haphazard pony tail, mashing up with her heavy head phones that covered her ears. The music was loud enough that the eccentric person didn't seem to notice, though the choice of music ...opera that blared out from the muffled foam, Phantom of the Opera sung the words obscured but easily placed.
The woman was staring at a wall of graffiti as if debating the artistic merit of the scrawled in spray paint in a mixtures of horrifying color combination. Like a unicorn had thrown up on the wall..and it happened to scrawl out letters. Hard to read letter but recognizable as letters regardless. Taking out her camera that was tucked into a small pocket she turned it on and then began to click snap shots.
Jiang was not a person that often left home and especially not without Reu right there either at his side or carrying him around. He had an overwhelming aversion to stepping outside due to a bad experience when he was a little younger. This was the first the first time he could recall going out on his own and he was a bit cowed by the experience. His hands were holding the gift wrapped box tightly, crushing it just a little, and his long ears were laid back. He just had to get this task done then he could go home he told himself over and over ago, his dual colored eyes flicking from side to side to try to figure out who to give this to. Someone... someone... who called out to him?
There was a click and a flash of light that startled the kirin and he squeaked, turning over toward the direction it had come from and he found himself starring at the bright colors that were covering a near by wall. It dazed him for a moment before his attention went to the woman that was taking pictures of it... maybe... her? Women were less intimidating then scary men he thought to himself as he creeped slowly forward, doing his best to keep his hooves from clicking against the cement.
The camera swung to suddenly be focusing on its new target. The strange man that had begun to approach her. She wasn't so absorbed in taking pictures to not notice the one coming towards her. There was a click as her finger pushed down in the shutter button and a bright flash. Did didn't use digital camera's..traditional analog was more her style. She stopped her bargaining snap shots after a moment before she lowered her camera and lifting a hand went to lower her scarf giving the stranger a rather interesting half smile.
"Your pretty photogenic..I could TOTALLY use you in modeling. What do you think?"
"M-Modeling?" He asked, looking a bit uncertain before he started to rapidly shake his head from side to side. That meant going out more then he would like as well as becoming to known to more people then he wanted to be known by, "T-Thank you but no..." He said, doing his best to be polite despite being a little his mood. He looked down at the present he was holding before he set to trying to smooth out the wrapping paper on it.
The woman gave a sigh and then shook her head giving a tsking sound in the back of her throat before she set to clicking her tongue against her teeth. She then went to life the scarf back around her mouth to stop the cold air from getting into her lungs.
"Shame really, you DEFINITELY have modeling potential." She sounded rather heartbroken at the fact she wasn't going to get to use him. She then fished around her jacket pocket and flicked a card out to give to the stranger.
"Keep me in mind, here's my card if you change your opinion." She stated with a chuckle.
His tail flicked back and forth behind him and he reached out one hand to take the card from her, reading it over before he tucked it away into the robe he was wearing. The woman seemed nice enough and she smiled a lot he thought to himself before he held the hand out holding the present to her, "Do you want this?" He asked of her.
The woman had been about to turn back to the graffiti colored wall before her eyes caught a look at what the stranger was offering her. The present looked a bit worn...but some part of her instantly wanted it. Desired it. it wasn't a normal response for her...and she paused as she found herself already reaching for the item.
"Ah....I don't normally take gifts from strangers....what do you want from me for it?" She inquired looking as if she may seriously do anything to get the item from him.
He shook his head rapidly, "I am just supposed to give a present to someone, it requires nothing of you for me." He said quickly, he was so happy to see her reaching out to take it then his ears turned forward. Good, good... she was taking it, that meant that he was free of the responsibility and he would be able to go home eh thought in a happy manner. He found himself starring at the bag, "I am not exactly sure what is in it though... a sort of... mystery gift."
She fiddled with the bag a moment half unsure if she really wanted to open it...but she didn't get much choice now did she? She was already opening it...drawing the ribbon off the bag as she then felt the contents. It was solid...one piece and heavy. Slipping whatever it was out of the fabric she was startled to find it was a rather large and heavy pendant. The metal looked a bit nicked...but the jewels in it seemed to nearly glow blue. She blinked at it...looked at it a bit more...and then to the other.
"What...is it?"
Jiang tilted his head to one side as he looked it over, "Ahh... a... necklace perhaps?" He murmured, not sure exactly what it was, "Pretty though, look at how it glows." He wondered idly what made it glow like that? Maybe it was the magic that was in it? Should be warn her about what the necklace might become? He couldn't recall if he was supposed to do that... so he just smiled, "I hope that you like it."
The woman only nodded her head absently before she looked at it by raising it to the light to see it catch and sparkle. She found herself chewing on her lower lip...something..about it made her want it..like nothing before. But there was an undertone...of danger to it. Like...knowing something wasn't quite right with this arrangement.
"You sure this is for me? It looks old...and expensive.."
He nodded his head, "Yes, your the one that seemed to stand out in the crowd... so I think that it was meant for you." He said, giving her a smile before he looked up toward the sky as though he were trying to decide upon the time. He should start back toward the store now, to get his sons.
The woman looked at it again and then...gave the other a look before she felt compelled to lean over a hand reaching out to pull him closer before she looked like she was going to whisper into his ear but instead she planted a kiss on his cheek, pushing away she chuckled as the red lip imprint she left there before she slipped the pendant into her pocket.
"Consider it payment for the gift." She replied with a wink before she half turned and then put her scarf back in its spot.
Jiang's eyes got wide and his face went a bright color of red, "Ahh... t-thank you..." He said, sounding rather shy before he gave a little wave of his hand, "I should be going... my son is waiting for me." He gave the woman a smile before he turned to start in that direction, tail swishing. He was so happy to be on his way, he wanted to pick up the kids, find Reu, and go back home where it was safe and warm he thought to himself as he went.
She nearly face-palmed herself. Great...she kissed a married man. Just PEACHY. But ah well damage done... not like she could turn back time.
"Yeah sure thing." She stated with a wave of her hand and then turned to head home.

Time laspe?
~ The arrival of Gera
It had been a strange day that much was for sure, but hey at least she got some good pictures, Of the grafittii plus that interesting man. She headed home at a leaisurely pace as she plotted the rest of her day. She would develope the film and then see if any of it came out well enough to use in her art space. If not well she'll just see about hunting down that man again. Even if he was married and had a kid....she wasn't really sure why she lingered on him besides the fact he was neat to photograph.
Once home she took off her outer garments and then went about getting her stuff together to develope her film in her make shift dark room. She fingered the pendant a moment before she finally left it on the kitchen table. She didn' want to risk loosing it in the dark room or getting any chemicals on it. Still it could use a good polish...even if it seemed to sparkle a lot despite looking a bit grungy. Lingering after she placed it onto the table she ...finally forced herself to turn and then moved off.
Flicking on the light she got herself set up before, putting on her apron and then making sure the tightly closed flicked off the light and went about slowly handling the film in her camera and into the light tight canister.
It was a long process, one that required a lot of patience. As she rolled the film onto the conister she nearly jumped out of her skin as she heard something crash outside of her small closet like room. Eye's already as wide as they could be considering it was devoid of light in that room she ...hesistated. Yes she wanted to know what the hell that sound was...but ..her film... there was another crash...and then a series of crashes. It sounded like someone was ransacking her home!
Not that she had much in the sense of value...but her mind went to the pendant she had left on the table. NO. She just got that in exhange for a kiss, she wasn't about to let that be stolen. Agonizingly she kept up with it...finally getting the film so it was in the light tight container before she hurriedly stumbeled and then flicked on the light so she could see.
Blinking past the sudden blinding she flung the door open, her apartment wasn't large...and she could hear the consitant clattering..of ..metal? It sounded like someone had taken her cabinent and everything metal out of it. She rounded the hall and halted in front of the archway that led into the kitchen. Every single drawer was laying on the floor. Anything that had been metal was gone. The cabinent doors were wide open....not only was her silverware gone so were any pots and pans...her ...TEAPOT...was gone. She looked bewildered as then it took her a double take when her gaze moved to something sitting on the table.
A child. A ..metalic like child was sitting there...staring blankly ahead of him.
She gave a shriek. She couldn't help it...there was a spoon sticking out of his forhead. Though she recovered quickly enough when the spoon seemed to twist and then become a bubbling liquid and become 'one' with the boy sitting on her table.
There was a groan...then the table collasped. She coughed as she felt the sudden need to go help the child that had ...appeared out of nowhere but ...even as she moved forward he seemed rather unharmed as he stood up and moved from the pile of broken wood and then stood there...unmoving.
"Ah..." Trinity wasn't exactly sure what to say. There...was a pause as she then noticed the pendant was..still around. Strange...every other metalic thing..was gone from her kitchen. Even the magnets...at least the metalic parts of them. She moved watching the boy who only looked blankely before him. Reaching for the pendant she noted how it...didn't hold the same sort of life as it had before. She looked back to the kid...and then back to the pendant.
Well....stranger things have happened to her...
"So...kid..got a name?" She inquired, the boy having been addressed only looked to her and opened his mouth.
"Gera."

Okay kid...
To say that she was flummaxed was an understatement, not only was she missing every possible item of metal that once belonged to her kitchen she now had a young child she needed to look after.
At first ...she tried to help him by getting him some clothes.. Not that it seemed like he had any thing exposed...was it really a he? She couldn't tell not with the ovbious lack of..well...anything down there.
Still as she moved about placing her drawers back little boy followed her around like some obedient little puppy. She went in search of clothes soon after but found that he was just...not careful enough with the shirts as he tended to rip them.
So luckily when she showed him why clothes were needed he formed his own..out of his liquid metal skin...thank goodness. Though more often than not he looked awkward in the clothes...
In all honestly the kid took direction extremely well....and that was the problem. She was starting to suspect that he was a bit slow in the head...but he was fairly intelligent..though took thinks a bit too literally.
When she sat him down in front of a television to watch Dora the explorer she suddenly found him participating in the show. A bit...too vigorously... Him yelling out spanish words as well following the instructions shouting things about something named Swiper no swiping...she had to wonder if he even understood what was going on.
When she had inquired him about it later after the show was over (she was quick to learn to mute commercials), she asked what he was doing.
"Stop Swiper..from swiping." He replied rather monotonously. O....kay.
She decided it wasn't worth trying to figure out if he knew what swiping was just yet.
Overall the boy though he behaved and listened without question was taxing. It was like talking to a robot...walking a robot, feeding a robot... He never got into trouble and he was very much unlike any child she had ever seen.
Sure there would be parents who would be thrilled with having such a well behaved child, but when one like Trin was handed one like it she wanted to scream. No emotion drove her crazy.
