An... Odd Meeting with Roxy, Gera and Deimos: Part Two

- AIM rp with Orpheus Solon

Roxy's eyes narrowed a bit she used the back of her hand to rub her eyes as if she had suddenly got either very tired or something had gotten into her eyes. She looked back at Dei before her eyes went a bit wide, she gave a shriek or rather a scream an ear shattering scream as she then was trying to desperately get off of Gera. The poor metallic boy was startled by her sudden outburst as she then flailed about trying as best as she could to get off of him. He was still trying to be careful but sooner or later Roxy was going to fall off of him.

What had happened? What had scared the little girl so much that she was so desperately trying to get away from Dei?

Deimos seemed just about as startled by her reaction, eyes going a bit wide and he took a few rapid steps away from her, eager to get some space between himself and the loud girl. He lifted his hands up to cover his ears in a protective manner and watched the way that she was trying to get away from her brother all of a sudden, away from him, and doing so in a very vocal, flailing manner.

"W-Wha...?" What in the world...? He took a few more steps back, wincing a little. The loud noise, the sudden on set of weakness, and the rush of emotions had the pink haired boy more then a little out of sorts at the moment. He wanted to vanished, he even tried, but it would seem as though he were to drained all of a sudden to call upon that power which he found worrisome since it hadn't happened to him since the time Faris had ended up with his power by accident.

Surely this girl wasn't just throwing a fit over having the notebook taken away from her? He shook his head, hoping that wasn't it... surely she wasn't so spoiled as that? He couldn't tell, having no idea really what had set her off. He took a couple more steps back but found himself with his back bumping into a fence so he couldn't retreat any farther yet. He gave a little shiver and a whimpering sound, "W-What is... g-going on Gera?" He asked in a quiet tone of voice.

Gera was holding onto his sibling and when he seemed to have finally gotten her to calm down her face was red and her nose running and she hiccuped every once in a while. She looked to Gera her body trembling before she began crying and sobbing again she made the grabby hand gesture at Dei as if wanting comfort from the boy.

Gera was at a loss. He looked to his friend before he shifted and moved towards him so Roxy could get closer.

Dei attempted a step back but couldn't move any farther back, stuck exactly where he was at the moment as the girl came toward him with her grabby hands and runny nose. He shook his head, "A-Ahh... n-no..." He murmured, why would she want him? A moment ago she was trying to get away from him and now he wanted to hug him...? It was a strange change in attitude toward him that had him shaking in an uncertain fashion. She could be covered in germs he thought in a slightly terrified manner.

Gera wasn't sure what to do all he knew was Roxy didn't want to be wit him.

"Roxy?" He asked softly though the poor girl was just hiccuping and wanting to be held by someone who looked like he'd rather die. He was at a loss. So instead he put Roxy down, who promptly fell to her butt and then struggled to take her skates off. Her brother watched silently until she was free of the shoes and then she went to hug Dei's leg.

Dei gave a cry of surprise as suddenly the girl was clinging to his leg, he wanted to run in any direction, wanted to vanish, but it would appear as though he had gotten himself stuck in place. He looked up at Gera, "G-Gera...? W-Wha..." What was he supposed to do? Why wasn't his friend helping him?! He started to tremble harder and ended up sliding down to the ground, landing in a shivering heap as the girl clung tightly to him and just starred at her, dazed.

Roxy just trembled as she clung to Dei. Her brother was scary...scary when he was covered in red...she hadn't actually distinguished that ..Gera wasn't red now. "Gewa...scary..." she whimpered against Dei's leg.
Gera looked...lost. Dei seemed just as worse off as Roxy. He had no idea what to do in a situation like this.

Dei starred down at her, confused... wait... what? She was afraid of Gera? He was a quite uncertain as he looked up at him before giving a little nod of his head, "O-Only the one arm." He said, lifting a hand and reached it out in a slow, shaking hand, looking as though he were going to faint at any moment as he patted the girl on the head in a weak attempt at soothing her.

Roxy sniffled burrowing her face further into Dei's leg. "Gewa...scary when red.." she continued to mutter and it seemed to clue in to Gera the problem. The poor metallic boy's face fell when he heard her speak he toko a couple steps back and then looked unsure of what to do next.

"She is scared...of me.." he stated confirming what Roxy had just stated.

"Red?" He asked, looking down at the girl before he lifted his head to looking up at Gera, "Red? Gera is... blue..." He knew he could change his shape but his color? He could understand why she would be scared though, the color of red terrified Deimos too. There were so many bad things associated with red, everything from fire to blood to certain dangerous animals and plants... he gave a shiver just thinking about it and tried to force the thought aside.

The pink haired boy went from feeling scared to feeling... surprised when Gera took a step back and looked a bit upset. Last time they met he seemed more like a robot then a child and now he seemed more... alive? Was that the right word? He wasn't quite sure but something about him seemed different, "G-Gera... are you alright?" He asked when he was able to find his voice.

Gera looked to the ground and then to Roxy who avoided looking at Gera as she instantly buried her face into Dei's leg. She liked the hair stroking she gave a bit of a snuffled sound as Gera shook his head.

"Will stay here.." he stated watching as Dei managed to pat Roxy on the head.
"She does not like it when..I am covered in red.." He explained not wanting to scare Dei either...but felt the need to try and explain.

Dei lifted one hand as though he were attempting to reach the metal boy before giving up, to far away to reach. A part of him wanted to cling to his friend in the same way that he'd held onto Kay and the hooded boy but he couldn't... instead he was captured by a girl that he didn't know and charged with the job of trying to sooth her. He was starting to debate on what it was that he should do next but he was at a loss...

Roxy looked up at Dei and releasing his leg made a grabby hand gesture of up. She wanted up...to be picked up and held. Like Gera normally did like Kay did. she wanted to feel the comfort of security.

"Roxy...up?" She murmured rather subdued.

Gera looked and felt a pang of jealousy? He normally was the one who carried Roxy around...though he knew that was a bit out of the question now...so he went to pick up her skates in a slow manner.

"Dei..walk with us?"

Dei looked very uncertain as he pushed his way up to his feet, one hand picking up his notebook once more, tucking it into the pocket on the inside of his robe. He starred at the boy before he reached down in a slow and hesitant manner to try to pick up the girl. He wasn't very strong like Gera or Kay so it took all his might and both his arms to be able to pick the girl up off the ground. He shifted in place then looked over at Gera, "W-Where? Are we g-going...?"

Roxy perked up when Dei actually did pick her up, snuggling up against him as her sobs and crying seemed to be coming to an end or course this meant she was also getting very sleepy.
"Home.." Gera stated with a nod..the sooner they got Roxy home the better. "Unless you have somewhere?"

"Home." He said, thoughtfully before nodding, "I... umm... n-need to go to my home... b-but... I can walk with you a little while." He didn't want to leave before he'd even had a chance to be near to one of the few people that he wasn't afraid of... or at least not nearly as afraid of him as he was almost everything else in the world that was. He gave him a bit of a smile though it was a little weak as he moved to walk along side the metal boy.

As they started moving the blond girl's head bobbed and then her eyes sank shut and she was out like a light. Slightly snoring against Dei while they walked. Gera looked at Dei before looking ahead again.

"okay...I don't want to bother you ...but thank you for helping Roxy." he stated with a small nod of his head.

He gave a little nod of his head, "I... haven't helped before... it is new." He murmured honestly to him as they moved along, his eyes moving between looking at the girl, at Gera, and then looking around to memorize the area around so he could write stuff down later. If he wrote it down he would be able to get out of home when it was time to head in that direction.

Gera thought on it a bit and then nodded his head, he supposed it was new for Dei. Though this was all very new to him as well.

"I can't...fix what happened with Roxy..." he continued casting a look out of the corner of his eye. "She is scared when she sees me and the color red..."

"Well... it is good that you are blue then, instead of red." He told Gera, not really sure what had happened to make Gera go red, "So long as you don't be red it should be alright, right?" He really didn't know for certain, it was a guess on his part whether or not that were true. He could only hope so since he would rather Gera be happy... or at least his version of happy. Gera with emotions of any sort was different.

What's This? - Solo rp

Gera had gotten use to having Roxy around, perhaps too much as he felt the stirrings of some emotion that was foreign to him. He had gone to ask Trin about it, and she looked at him like he as an alien and then looked thoughtfull.

"It sounds like your jealous.."

"Jealous?"

"Yes you ..well are envious of Kay and Roxy being together all the time."

"Envious?"

Trin looked at him realizing he didn't understand...so she went to grab her dictionary. Thumbing through it until she found the word ...discovered it didn't really help with trying to explain to the boy and thus snapped it closed.

"It's not a bad thing...but.. you shouldn't let it get the best of you..." She started trying to explain to the boy how jealousy worked was like trying to explain why the sky was blue.

"You just miss her being around," She confirmed with a nod of her head looking to Gera who ..nodded his head in agreement.

"Yes...I miss...but Roxy really likes Kay...she is ...still scared of me.." He mused sounding a bit sad.

Though Trin was still not sure, about that day when Roxy had come home acting unlike herself and that following week where they had said little to each other nor been close, she figured it must of been a rather personal if neither of them wanted to talk to her about it.

"I hardly think she is scared of you.."

"Yes...only when I am red though.."

There was a pause,

"Well...just make sure you arn't red again. Then you don't have to worry about it." She replied with a shrug, she had never seen Gera red..only blue. A strange blue glow he had with him since he first arrived.

Gera was silent it was hard to tell if he was quiet because he was thinking or because he had nothing else to say. The woman sighed and patted his head when she walked past him.

"Don't worry about it. Your too young to be worrying about such things." she continued as she went to go find Roxy.

Things best left alone... - solo rp

There are things...that are best left alone. It was hard to tell when Gera was thinking..or it he thought at all. He stood motionless in the backyard, unblinking staring at god knows what.

There had been things, things that had stirred him...things that had made him react once. His hands were held loosely at his sides, replaying in his mind the events of when Roxy was just a toddler...the man that had tried to take her.

The blood.

Her screaming.

He didn't want to hear that sound from her again. It..bothered him he realized.

But you protected her.

True...he had, but at what cost?

He was the enemy. He had to be eleminated.

Was that true? Did the man HAVE to die just because of what he did? He had only taken Roxy..he hadn't hurt her yet.

He could of, you took care of it before he could.

He didn't sit though it felt like he should. His body was heavy, that was normal...but he felt even heavier than usual now. Something stirred in his body...literally.

He didn't even flinch when things that appeared like cables appeared like living snakes from his arm and then embedded themselves into the sides of his neck. It didn't hurt.

You cannot feel pain. You are superior to humans. But you must obey...them.

It sounded uncertian as if ...should he always follow orders from those lower than him? The cabels twined about his bare arm...knitting together as if to make muscle.

"G...Gera?"

The cables stopped...though they tightened around the limb before growing cold and lifeless.

The boy half turned to see who had spoken...it had been Roxy. It had been the way she had said his name that was unfamilar. Was it fear in her voice?

"G..er don't stand out here b..by yourself. Come on inside. I am going to go find Kay want to come?" She inquired shifting from foot to foot as if uneasy.

He stared at her and then nodded his head turning to face her walknig slowly back for the shop that was currently their home.

Protect.

He understood that command only too well.

Current threat level..zero - Journal rp

There was little things that interested him. He followed Roxy around like a well trained gaurd dog , which she tolerated for most of the time.

"Gera! Stop following me!!! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" came her angry voice as she shrieked at him when he had gone a bit to the extreme and had unknowingly followed her into the bathroom.

He was met with a door slammed into his face. He didn't feel pain, but he stood there as if unsure of what to do next.

Trin walked past and she rolled her eyes and patted his head as she paused behind him,

"You know she will be fine in there. You don't need to protect her while she is inthe bathroom." She stated firmly as she went to guide her strange....metalic boy away from the bathroom door where Roxy sat on the edge of the bathtube fuming inside.

"You know Gera you should go and read more. You like reading don't you?"

Gathering information.

He didn't respond as he looked to Trin and then finally looked over to where she had guided him to. The book shelf...he had read how many of them already? Absorbed information as much as he could.

"Why don't you just read for awhile? Let your sister get some alone time?" She stated firmly knowing he wouldn't disobey.

Need...more information, knowledge limited here.

"I have read them all." He replied, softly tonelessly. Trin looked at him...giving him a strange look.

"Why don't you go to the library then? They have LOTS of books there."

He shook his head...reaching a hand out to grab a book he had arleady read three times. He would read this...he didn't want to leave Roxy or Trin ungaurded for long.

"This will be sufficient."

Reconfirming...information.

Trinity looked at him again, shifting. Was it just her...or was he being more distant than normal?

"Gera...is something bothering you?"

The boy didn't reply at first, though the book was flipped open to a random page.

Accessing proper response...

"Roxy doesn't like it when I am red..."

Response inadiquate. Foriegn matter detected.

Trin shifted again. "Yes..you've mentioned that before..." she replied as she ran a hand through her hair. She...still didn't understand what he meant by that and Roxy wouldn't tell her either.

"Doesn't like it when I am red.." He repeated as he then turned his head to start reading.

Emotion detected...will analyze, current threat level...zero.

Honing a skill - learning to...wha?

Gera had eventually gone to the library though he had to basically had to force Roxy to come with him as he didn't want to leave her alone. She whined the entire way, complained when they got there...while they were there...and finally when home ran off to see if she could find if Kay was around. He visited frequently after all.

No danger sensed/

He 'relaxed'...though it was hard to really visually tell if he was relaxed or tense. He had come to rely on this second voice in his head. Though he wasn't sure what to make of it...it was strangely comforting.

The book he had picked up had been about different weapons. Roxy had been rather loud about her opinion about the book, saying she didn't like it..nor should he be interested in it. He also had picked up on anatomy of humans.

Access information. Learn weaknesses.

He had felt uncomfertable picking up the book. But it..was needed. If he could nuetralize an enemy quickly and efficiantely then there wouldn't be so much...red.

Blood: function - Supply of oxygen to tissues (bound to hemoglobin, which is carried in red cells

He knew humans needed it to survive.

Blood accounts for 8% of the human body weight . . .

The more he read the more he absorbed the more he felt like this was wrong. He didn't want to kill.

The average adult has a blood volume of roughly 5 liters...

He paused,

Defect...analyzing. Information is needed to better protect. Continue to gather.

He bent his head back down to continue reading before finally finishing the book. Putting it down he picked up the other book. It was about weapons. He did pause this time. His hands holding the book firmly in both hands.

Hesitating. Why?

"This ..only leads to more red..."

...Threat will be removed. Efficiantely. Quickly.

Still he paused, maybe the other part of him was right. If he...could learn this..then perhaps the amount of red won't be so much. He had reacted on instinct before. For the first time his hands shook. THe book opened and he learned.

Bayonet (from French baïonnette) is a knife, dagger, sword, or spike-shaped weapon designed to fit on, over or underneath the muzzle of a rifle barrel or similar weapon, effectively turning the gun into a spear. It is a close quarter battle combat or last-resort weapon.

It took some time...careful referencing of the image to form the item in question onto his arm.

The sabre or saber is a kind of backsword that usually has a curved, single-edged blade and a rather large hand guard, covering the knuckles of the hand as well as the thumb and forefinger.

The metal slipped forwardly fluidly, forming the slick if unperfect edge of the weapon in question. It wasn't perfect..it would take a lot of time and skill to get it right.

Motion detected.

He slipped the metal back into his body like the sword's blade slipping back hidden amoungst the length of his arm.

"What are you doing Gera?" Came Roxy's voice as she came out side rocking back and forth on her heels eying him warily.

Aquireing information.

"Practicing."

She raised an eyebrow looking at him before coming down the steps two at a time.
"Practicing what?" She inquired noticing the books flipped open to certian pages before glancing back at him.

He didn't reply. Instead a pair of puppy dog ears formed o his head and flicked back and forth causing Roxy to burst into giggles.

Accessing information. Target..subdued.

What good is a childhood if you can't scrape your knees? BUT something happens, and Gera is torn between saving Roxy from potential danger, and saving a complete stranger from real danger. The thing is...Roxy is telling him to save the stranger. What does he do? Growth Prompt Response

To save or not to save...

This day had started off like any other day. Roxy had wanted to go to the park as she was finding that staying at home becoming quite stiffling. Her dear brother was ..of course acting as body gaurd as he carried her piggy back style towards the park.

The metalic blue and steel grey boy was as silent as ever, he didn't really mind carrying Roxy. In fact he preferred it, that meant there was little worry of her getting hurt if he was carrying her.

Roxy of course was having a difference of opinion, she sighed as she laid her cheek rest on his head her arms dangling on either side of her brothers shoulders and looking quite bored.

When they arrived at the park Gera stood there watching the other children before he analyzed each and everyone of them. Things were getting a tad out of hand, as his obession to make sure Roxy stayed safe caused him to check out every single person in the park. Verifying who could be and who wasn't considered a threat.

Unphased as he was suddenly bopped on the head, he continued to look around.
"Geeeeraaa..." Came the whining voice that belonged to his younger sister. It always started with the whine, her voice indicating her annoyance at having to wait to be able to go play.

She'd then struggle before hitting him a bit more and then stopping as hitting him often made her hand hurt. Sighing, the blonde wondered if her life was always going to end up with Gera ruling over her daily activities.

Threat level zero...

Gera knelt to release his sister onto the playground, though he hovered close by like an living statue. Most of the other kids kept their distance when he cast the expressionless gaze in their direction.

So intent he was on making sure that there were no dangers around Roxy he didn't realize that she had climbed onto the upper most part of the jungle gym, it would only take one slip and she could break every bone in her body.

The realization came to him a bit too late as he jerked his head up, a hand coming to touch the bars that he knew were metal. He could just simply absorb the metal....and catch her.

"Gera! Don't. " Roxy snapped, she had apparantly anticipated him to try and do what he had thought. She rocked on the upper top part, "Don't wreck it for everyone else...I'll..." She sighs as she shifts on the spot, "be right d..down.. " The stutter was due to the fact that her foot had slipped when she had moved to get back down.

It was hard to read his expression, as he so rarely had them but it looked something akin to panic. He couldn't fit underneath the jungle gym..he could bend it and warp it but that could threaten the structural integratey. As his mind whirled on all the options he had available a shriek appeared behind them.

Gera didn't even turn to look.

Roxy is prime directive.

The blonde though had caught another bar and hoisted herself back up onto the top of the jungle gym. She WAS looking, her greens eyes frantically searching for who had screamed and was now continueing to scream in pain and fear.

Apparantly a child had climbed a tree, a very old and sickly tree. It was the largest one in the park, and the kid was pretty high up..or had been. He had taken about a ten foot drop that had ended up with him hurting an arm an leg crashing downwards.

He now was sobbing against the tree, the limb underneath him slowly groaning at the added weight.

"Gera do something!" The small girl cried out looking as the branch was slowly giving way. There were a bunch of adults and other spectators milling aruond the base someone was shouting about trying to find a blanket...another about calling the fire station.

The golem boy didn't even look behind him.

Roxy is the target. Make sure Roxy is safe.

Gera stood there impassionately his face turned up to look at his sibling.

"GERA!" Roxy shreiked as she took a sharp intake of breath.

"Go help him! Save him!" She begged as she hugged onto the bars under her fingers.

His body shuddered, like an machine that hadn't been oiled in ages he slowly turned though his body was fighting the command.

NO. Roxy is prime objective. Stranger is irrevelant.

But the boy ..was in REAL danger. His very life and well being handing by mer threads fo a tree branch.

There was a sickening crack,

"Gera!! I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU IF YOU DON'T TRY!"

The blue viens on his skin suddenly glowed feircely, his body shifted and became more stream like, boots narrowing to reduce his weight the extra metal shifting to form a amored shoulder pad..and then he ran.

It had been his siblings high pitched panicked voice that had drove it home. Roxy COULD fall of that jungle gym. Worse off she could break an arm. But that boy's life was in danger. And he was lucky if he was going to survive.

The people suddenly seemed to be in his way, he managed to somehow move through them all, pushing them rather forcefully when they wouldn't budge.

His gaze was locked onto his new target. Analyzing the situtaion there was a sudden c***k sound the bayonet growing from his right arm, lengthening and widening to form a axe head. It was..huge..and bigger than anything a human could weild. WIth a well placed swing, that blade slipped in and caused the tree to shudder with the impact.

The tree began to slip to the side tilting as he had cut it free from its rotting roots. He suddenly kicked off, leaving a nice indent in the earth where his feet had been, his axe arm shifted back only to lengthen into a silver coil of rope.

Like it was alive it suddenly wrapped around the child yanking him quite forcefully from the branch that was about to give out. Like a yo yo the coiled rope brought the child to him. A metalic sound as he increased his body temperature so that where the child collided easily melded with him. This way the child wouldn't be knocked out unconcious byt smacking straight into a solid metal statue.

He kicked off the tree sending it to the ground.

His eyes though narrowed on the fact that there were people in the path of that siad tree's path.

Their lives are not your concern.

Like hell it wasn't. He had promised Roxy he'd never go red again. And that included being the reason for innocent lives being taken.

He dropped the child down on the grass softly before he rushed to the tree.

There was a crash, the ground shook with the force, as the dust cleared Roxy scrambeled from her perch down the jungle gym and slipping in her rush landing on her bottom in the sand. the pain stung but she bit back her cry as she then rushed over to the scene.

THe dust was settling, and standing underneath the rotting tree holding the thing up at a eighty degree angle was Gera. His hands had widened so that he could try and catch the tree rather than punch two holds in it with his fists.

No lives were taken...no one hurt. Well besides a few minor scratches. Gera quickly took account of those around him before he grunted and went to toss the tree beside him. There was another crash, the ground shaking again.

Then silence as everyone just ...stared at him.

"Gera!" Came Roxy's breathless cry as she threw herself at her brother. True she had been angry with him earlier. But he had...done what she had asked.

The blue boy looked down at her, a small...smile? Straining to get onto his lips. It was a smile he hadn't done since he was a toddler.

"Roxy..okay?" He inquired completely ignoring the rest of the crowd gathering.

The blonde only nodded her head before Gera looked up and eye'd the jungle gym.

"Let's go home." He offered and she agreed again, climbing onto his back as he knelt down. His body shifted back to what it had looked like usually. Though as he walked past the jungle gym he paused. A hand coming out he then went about absorbing the metal.

Roxy was about to protest but stopped herself. Maybe Gera was just hungry...

Satisfied that the jungle gym could no longer pose a threat to Roxy...the golem boy made his way home, his sister on his back.

Growing Pains:

If there was one thing, it was that growing with Gera generally meant that he had to absorb a lot of metals. And by a lot...generally it meant the local park had a bunch of its swings and other metal bits go missing.

He usually didn't mean it...except for when Roxy got hurt on those strange monkey bars. That one he did mean.

And like previous times he didn't grow whilst he was 'awake' it was when he was on standby that it tended to to happen. As before he grew in height, and more metally bits grew and added themself to him. His glow intensified and it was lukcy he didn't bother to sleep on a bed anymore...else another bed would be crushed by his sudden increase in weight.

Deimos, Gera, and the Cake Shop: Part One

Since the incident in the park which resulted in him growing the next morning, he had looked over his body in...interest? It was a bit if a surprise to find him looking over the changes as if curious. Though the same blank expression was on his face but he gazed at his arms and legs before he suddenly turned and left the home. Alone. Without a word to anyone.

Now it was a bit surprising, to wake up and find your stalker...vanished. But at the same time a relief. So Roxy didn't say anything to her Aunt just yet and decided to sleep in.

Gera had roamed the streets looking at things. Pausing...looking at more things but remaining silent. It was like he was taking in new information. In an entirely different light. Currently he was standing in front of the cake shop staring at the window display.

Deimos was out and about as per usual, since he'd grown his desire to be out and about was stronger then before even though he still felt the same sort of fears when it came to being alone... so Gigan was draped across his shoulders light a large, fluffy, and due to the weather unneeded scarf. Deimos was going to some of the places on his map that he liked the best, ones he could get to without having to take out his map or his notes, and he found himself in the same neighborhood as the cake shop, something he found quite exciting. He had enough money on him that he could get some sweets he thought to himself, grinning as he walked along... though as he came around the corner he gave a squawk sound and vanished as he spotted something metallic, spiky, and starling standing there in front of the shop keeping him from proceeding.

It took him some time to realize that the colors were familiar, he knew... he knew that person, though the version he knew was a little less spiny and scary looking... he wondered what was going on? He allowed himself to come out of hiding and slipped forward slowly, "Is Roxy in there?" He asked as he got close, wondering if Gera was following the blond around again.

There was no reply from the blond as she was at home sleeping quite happily the day away. Though hearing the name Gera turned his head at the voice he recognized belonging to Deimos. Even if it sounded a bit different he could place it instantly.

"Deimos, Gigan." He acknowledged instantly though his tone was still monotonous as before it seemed..different. Could it be the fact he had a vague look of surprise on his face?

Deimos tilted his head to the side, "Wow... you look... very different, Gera." He said, taking a half step closer to him, looking him over closely. He seemed to have acquired more height, more mental, more spiny bits. There seemed to be something else that had him trying to put his thumb on it, something... odd and very un-Gera-like.

Gera gave a small pause, then a nod of his head. As if he figured this must be the appropriate response.

"Yes..grew this morning. Rescued boy from falling tree. Absorbed monkey bars. " He stated his sentences...weird. As if he was trying to explain but..couldn't form the right grammar.

"Wow... you rescued someone?" He asked, eyes getting a bit wide at that. He wondered what had happened but he seemed more interested in the way that Gera was talking. It seemed as though he were using a lot more words then normal. Usually it was just nods, agreeing sounds, and really simple replies. He seemed more talkative, it was kind of nice. He gave his friend a smile before turning to look into the cake shop, "You ended up at the same place I was coming to, that's pretty lucky. I was thinking about getting some cake. What about you?"

Gera looked to Gigan to Deimos and then to the cake shop again before looking back to Deimos. "Looking." He explained making no hand gesture to the window, though he wondered if he should be. Then again the fact he was 'just looking' was probably enough to send a person reeling.

He nodded his head simply at the question. "Yes. Small boy. In tree. Branch ..breaking. Cut tree down." He explained again in choppy sentences.

He was looking? He didn't seem to have a list of things he had to buy for his Aunt, he wasn't looking after Roxy, he was just out looking at things on his own. He found himself wondering more and more about the aforementioned saving, "You didn't hit your head when you were saving the boy, did you?" He asked as he looked his friend over, wondering if he'd gotten something knocked loose... or into place. He seemed off and Deimos found himself getting worried and scared over his friend, worried that there might be something wrong with him. What would he do? Did Gera go to a hospital? Or some sort of metal worker...?

Gera gave Deimos a blank look as if processing the question.

"No. Cut tree...saved crowd from being crushed. ...I did not get hurt." He replied finally his wording a bit...strange. He looked back to the bakery and then pointed to one of the pink cakes.

"Reminds me of Deimos." He stated suddenly.

He looked at the pink cake for a moment before he lifted a hand to fiddle with his now blue hair, "Did you like my hair when it was pink?" He asked of Gera, curiously. His friend was acting a bit oddly wasn't he? Spotting things that reminded him of Deimos... it was very odd, not something he'd done before. He said he wasn't hurt in the earlier incident so that couldn't be a part of what was changing in Gera... maybe it was because he had grown?

Gera blinked as if realizing that Deimos's hair color had changed. He blinked again and then leaned in closer. Ignoring Gigan for the moment.

"Hair is blue. Was pink. Like...better...." He trailed off trying to process Dei's question. He shook his head and then backed off some. "Deimos hair was pink. Cake reminded me of Deimos. Blue is new." He tried to figure out how to make his thoughts process.

He sounded... confused. He'd never heard Gera sound confused before, he always seemed so sure of himself before now. That was kind of odd...

"Yeah, I thought maybe it would make me look less girly if I changed the color of my hair." He explained to Gera, looking over at the cake and smiled, having Gera be reminded of him seeing the cake was nice. There were a lot worse things out there that he could have his old hair compared to after all.

Gera looked to Deimos again staring a long time at him.

"Deimos...is a boy yes?" He asked staring at him blankly as if the sudden dawning that he could of been wrong all this time came to him. He then shook his head again, "No..Deimos is Deimos..hair color is irrelevant." He continued the final word sounding monotonous ...much like his old speech patterns. The bit of vague emotions on his face vanishing as he stood there like awaiting a command before suddenly he shifted and looked back to the bakery.

"Deimos like cake."

Deimos flushed a bit and nodded his head, "Yes... I am." He murmured, sounding a little embarrassed before he turned and listened to what he was saying, that last thing he said was more of a Gera thing to say. The rest of what he'd been saying so far was different, something out of character for him but he liked it better. It was like talking with some of his other friends, not that he didn't like how Gera was before since Gera was always nice to him and always looking out for him when they were together.

He gave a smile before he looked his friend over, "Do we want to go inside and get some cake?" He asked of Gera.

"I don't eat." He responded instantly though he turned to look at Deimos again his piercing eyes looking at Deimos as if he could absorb him. "But Deimos likes cake. We can go in." He stated after a moment before he turned his gaze to look at the cakes in the window again. It seemed really weird. One would have to wonder if he absorbed a small child instead of metal by the way he was acting.

"Ah, yes." He murmured, he'd forgotten about that. He looked over at his friend for a long moment, starring at him for a moment before he nodded his head, "Alright, lets go in then." He said, holding a hand out to his friend having gotten used to holding hands with the friends that he wandered around with that it didn't even enter his mind that teenagers perhaps didn't do such things. The rapid growth spurts he'd had in his life helped him to miss such things, that teens might not want to hold hands with their friends and especially not with their male friends.

The golem boy looked to Deimos's hand, as if he was trying to figure out something. They had held hands before...but this time the thought of accidentally crushing that hand came to him. "I could carry you?" He offered instead ignoring the hand after a moment. "Do you want piggy back?" he offered pressing the offer by taking a step closer. His strange silvery metallic hair seemed to have gotten finer almost looking like thin strands of wire.

Deimos blinked then couldn't help but to laugh, "Could you still do that? I have gotten bigger then the last time that you carried me." Then again Gera had gotten bigger as well, hadn't he? He looked thoughtful about the idea, "It would be fun though we don't really have to walk to far to get into the store, maybe after we get the cake?" He suggested, while he would like to try it, it seemed like a waste since it was only a few feet between where they stood and the door to the shop.

He nodded his head and then turned abruptly and walked the few steps towards the door before he pushed it open. It was like his mind was moving too fast for him to really gather what he was thinking. He waited expectantly for Deimos to go instead, and then wondered briefly if the cake shop owner would let him in since last time he was here he had ...well been a bit violent towards a customer.

The blue haired boy hurried to catch up with his friend as he opened up the door for them and he gave him a smile, "Thank you." He said, though he looked a little uncertain, he wondered if Gera could get sick... he was acting it and it was worrying Deimos. He stepped inside and then held a hand out to Gera, "Come on, its alright. Its been a while, maybe they forgot?" He said, not sure if that would actually happen since Gera had scared that woman he'd grabbed last time they were in here. Maybe they would be lucky and the one working here would be a different person.

Gera was pretty sure someone like him couldn't be forgotten. But he'd try and be on his best behavior this time.

"What is Deimos getting? Cake? But what kind? You like purple and blue yes? You getting a purple and blue cake?" he inquired in a rush of questions that REALLY seemed out of character. Gera...asking...questions? Okay when did hell freeze over??

Deimos paused to look over at Gera, starring at him again before he found himself stepping forward to press a hand against his forehead as though he were checking to see if perhaps Gera had picked up a fever somewhere. He didn't think he felt warm though... but it was hard to judge given that Gera had a lot of metal bits to him that three off what his internal temperature a bit, "Are you feeling alright, Gera?" He asked.

Gera stared at him, trying to figure out the question before he finally gave a small shrug. "I am fine. No damage to report." He stated his tone going monotonous again before he looked back at the cakes. Scanning the ones there before he spotted a little cupcake with blue and purple flowers on it and pointed at it.

"Deimos like this one?"

He starred for a moment before shaking his head and followed after him, if there was no damage to report that must mean he was alright. He was just... strangely chatty, maybe he had been spending so much time with Roxy that she was starting to rub off on him? He half shrugged then walked over to look at the cupcakes that Gera had found, "Those are cute." He said, looking them over, then smiled, "Getting a few of those would actually be nice."

Gera didn't have a clue what they tasted like, or the desire to buy them would stem from. All he knew was that Deimos liked that array of colors. And cakes. Couldn't forget the cakes.

"More than one? I don't eat. Giving to family? Other friends?" He inquired not knowing the point to buy more than one cupcake.

"Well yeah, I mean to share but I also want a few for myself. I rather like sweet things." He said as he looking them over, "I know my Momma is a big fan of them too so he would be happy with me bringing some extras home. I wonder if I should get some for Wynn. Do you want to get some to bring home to Roxy?" He looked over at Gera to see what his friend might think about bringing his sister home some snacks.

Gera stood up straight thinking was hard. It was almost simpler having no thought. Would Roxy want a cupcake? As if doing flashbacks in his mind he figured that Roxy was the type of little girl that would like cupcakes.

"Yes. But you don't have to buy. I will." he stated as he didn't want Deimos to spend money on his sister.

"Cool, I am sure she would like it better from you." He said as he looked around the area curiously then spotted something, "Ohh, hey! Maybe we should get this for you, Gera." He said, walking over to a shelf set up with various things used to decorate the the various cakes with. Picked up a package to show him what he'd spotted, "Isn't it pretty? Its called silver leaf, there is gold leaf too but I am sure its more expensive."

Gera moved over to see what Deimos was talking about. Silver leaf? It was metal? He could absorb that? Well..sure he could but it looked so..delicate.

"You want me to eat that?" he inquired sounding surprised. "Its pretty...I.." he paused a moment, "Would..feel bad if I ate that.." He tried to think of his words..that was the best he could up with.

"Yes, I thought that it would be nice if you could get something too. It doesn't seem fair that we are buying so many cupcakes for me and some other people but you don't get to have anything." He explained, he found himself once more surprised as Gera referred to something as being pretty and that he would feel bad for eating it, "If you ate the gold leaf would that leave a streak of gold on you, Gera?" He asked, curiously as he looked at the more expensive decorative item.

Gera stared at him. Would it...leave a gold streak in him? He honestly had no idea. He looked down ..to where the rock he has melded to his body was. It had become apart of him, would the..gold as well? He wasn't sure what he thought of that.

"I don't know." He replied finally. He honestly had no idea. "Could try..and see?"

There was a little giggle from Deimos as he found himself curious about what might happen were Gera to absorb something like this. He checked the price, debated it, then took a small package of the item, "I will get you a little bit of it." He told his friend. He could afford it after all, and it would be nice to get Gera a present even if it were a strange sort of gift it did suit someone that went around absorbing metal.

Gera watched him and then felt bad for having him buy something for him. He felt..bad about it? Why? Why did he feel bad? He stood a moment ..or five trying to figure it out. But before he could really protest his friend had already moved past him and gone to buy it. He had...carried some money with him. It was enough to buy the cupcake for Roxy...but he now wondered if he should buy something for Deimos.

Deimos walked to the counter to order some of the pretty cupcakes before glancing over to Gera, "Which cupcake did you want to get for Roxy?" He asked, not wanting to take for himself the one that Gera was going to pick out for the blond girl. It wouldn't be very nice to do that after all.

Gera had come up behind him looking over his shoulder in a strange keen interest. He watched the way he looked them over and then he looked to Deimos and then back to the others. He pointed to a cupcake that was blue like he was, and now that matched Deimos's blue hair.

"That..one. I think." He wasn't a hundred percent sure. But..it seemed to be the 'right' one.

The blue one that he pointed at was a rather pretty and bright color wasn't it? He smiled and then nodded, "My friend wants that one." He said, so that it wouldn't end up with the cupcakes that he was getting for himself and his family. He was glad to see that Gera was doing so well in deciding upon which one that he wanted for his sister. It was... just plain nice to see him think on and consider anything really. Last time he'd tried to get him to pick something Gera had just decided upon something that Dei himself had liked, likely to make the dark skinned Curio happy.

The cupcakes were put into their separate boxes, a smaller one for Gera's single cupcake, and a larger one for the dozen that Deimos got. Deimos paid for the sweets as well as the gold leaf first before he stepped back to let Gera through to pay.

He was...watching him, trying to see what he was doing and how he acted towards the check out clerk. He shoved rather than offered the money to the clerk which of course was too much and then when he got the coins it absorbed into his body. Oops. He took his box as gentle as possible and then turned to face Deimos. He watched him and then looked around. It wasn't like he could eat anything..well except the gold leaf.

"We..go outside? Sit? Talk?" He asked curiously.

Deimos looked over at his friend for a long moment at his question, it was one that sounded normal coming from anyone else in the world but from Gera it was pretty special and had him smiling, "Sure, that sounds nice Gera." He said, nodding to the clerk behind the counter before he headed out of the shop at his side. This was such a nice day, so unexpected and enjoyable... which made him wonder if he were actually just dreaming at the moment.

Deimos, Gera, and the Cake Shop: Part Two

Gera followed after Deimos slowly he was wondering why Deimos had said that. Would be nice? He guessed he never really talked before. It had always seemed...pointless before. Still though he wasn't one hundred percent sure why his other voice was being so quiet all of a sudden.

"We talk...about?" he asked as he suddenly realized he had no idea how to start conversations.

He gave a thoughtful look, "Hrm, that's a good question." He murmured in a thoughtful manner. As they got outside he squatted down long enough to let Gigan jump up onto his shoulders before he stood up and turned to look at his friend again, "Want to walk while we talk? We don't want to stay in the sun to long or the cupcakes are going to melt." He said with a little laugh.

Gera watched Gigan and then he followed close beside his ...friend? Yes...friend.

"Yes...can walk while...talk." He responded after a moment. But ..what were they going to talk about? He had a lot of questions he could ask..but none of them seemed to really come to mind now. He found it down right ...weird.

Deimos looked over at his friend as they started their walk, deciding they should head to the shop first so that Gera could drop off his cupcake with his sister so that it didn't become a melty mess. He looked him over then smiled, "It was really nice to run into you like this today." He told his friend, looking at the bag that contained the flakes of gold leaf before he smiled, "Its been a while since we last hung out so it was lucky." Even if he knew that there was always bad luck that balanced out good luck he didn't so much mind, he would deal with whatever scary thing was going to jump out at him if it meant getting to see Gera.

Gera thought on it, thinking was weird. Having an opinion was weird. That voice that normally told him what to do was strangely silent.

"Lucky?" He echoed, he wasn't sure what he meant it was luck that had brought them together? What exactly was luck? "Isn't luck made up?" He asked not sure of the appropriate words he needed to use to make sense.

He shook his head, "With as much bad luck as I have I am quite sure that its real." He said with a little chuckle, he didn't really want to worry about all of that right now, "Your not one that believes in luck?" He asked, it made sense he supposed with how Gera acted he didn't seem like the sort who had to rely on luck. He was strong enough that he didn't seem like he needed it.

Gera thought on it, bad luck..followed Deimos? He wasn't sure how or why but he didn't like the sound of it. At the question he shook his head. "No...I just...do. No luck..no bad luck..." he wasn't so sure what to make of it all.

He nodded his head, "Ahh, I see." He murmured before he smiled, "Your strong enough that you could make your own luck, I bet." He said, looking Gera over closely, there was something about his strength that Deimos rather admired, he was able to do things that he couldn't do himself but he didn't so much mind since he was used to dealing with his own weaknesses after so long. It didn't mean that he didn't want to try to get stronger now that he was as old as he was.

He looked to Deimos after a moment of consideration. He made his own luck? He...didn't really believe it. Then again he didn't much think of luck and what it meant. "I strong...but..cause what I am...no luck.." He explained as he looked an armored arm over. Yes...because of what he was he was powerful. He couldn't really think that it was just luck. "Deimos..not scared of me?"

He glanced over at Gera at the question before he gave a little shake of his head, "No, there were a few times you have startled me but there are many other things that are far scarier then you are, Gera." He said, giving his friend a smile. There were times, things that Gera did or things he could turn his arm into that were a bit surprising and this change in him even more so, but he was still the same Gera that made bunny ears out of his hair so he couldn't really find himself to afraid of him.

Gera was happy that he wasn't scared of him but at the same time he found it interesting that he wasn't scared of him. "Deimos is strong...use to be scared of lots of things. Now...goes out." He pointed out that he found his friend also had a inner strength of sorts.

"I don't know, I don't think I could leave the house alone." He said, sure Gigan was just a cat but he was still a sort of barrier between himself and the world around him, he flushed a bit, "I am trying though... even if things still cause me to get so scared that I just vanish." He shook his head, a little embarrassed by the fact that he would disappear from sight completely if he were afraid of something or even just mildly startled.

He wasn't sure if what he experienced could be called fear. He didn't want Roxy hurt. was that a fear? Or more a determined fact drilled into his brain? Then again he now realized he didn't want to see anyone hurt...was that a development? Perhaps? But it just end up making him more determined in the long run to make sure NO ONE got hurt. "I don't want you...hurt. Or...scared." He stated firmly, "I protect you." The golem boy pledged.

Deimos smiled, "That's very nice of you, Gera. Thank you." He murmured, that he would offer to protect him in such a manner was rather nice of him, to be promised protection by Gera was a rather wonderful thing especially for someone as cowardly as Deimos who could get frightened by everything that moved. It had him smiling in a rather happy manner. He wished that he had a free hand so that he could hold hands with the metal boy but since he had his cupcakes in his hands it wasn't doable at the moment which was a shame.

Gera continued to walk along with Deimos, holding the box his cup cake was in gingerly as if he was afraid that he would crush it accidentally. Even though he knew he was holding it with just the right amount of pressure. So he didn't know why he was worried, him worried about crushing them seemed almost foreign. They walked in silence a moment or two,

"Deimos...why is it your afraid?" he inquired finally, it had been a question he'd been pondering for the last couple of minutes.

Deimos felt his cheeks heat up at the question, "I... am not sure really, I just know that every since I can remember everything has been rather frightening to me. No matter what it was, even simple things like certain colors cause me stress." He said in an embarrassed fashion. He didn't like the fact that he was afraid of anything and everything, tried his best to deal with them, but it was rather difficult.

Gera thought on his reply a bit, it didn't really answer his question..but it had been a unfair question at that. It would be like asking him why he had to protect Roxy.

"But...you are getting better...you not scared of me no more." He pointed out. "And you go out now with Gigan.." He continued, "So not so scared as before?"

He nodded, "I think I am getting better though each time I think I am alright something new appears to scare me." He said, flushing a bit more then gave a bit of a smile, rather glad that he had his chance meeting with Gigan even if the cat had been so very scary the first time that they had met. He made a good bodyguard for when the others he traveled with like Gera or Anon weren't around.

Gera was happy about that. Odd. Happy. Why was he happy about this? he suppose cause he wanted Deimos to be happy and thus him not being scared meant he was happier. Gosh it was confusing. They were fast approaching the Curio shop. Gera wondered how long they were going to stay there. He recalled they had to move from their previous place to here because he had been too loud. He felt guilt but it was fleeting.

"Deimos.." he stopped abruptly as they neared the shop, "The cupcake for you not Roxy." He explained in a rush.

Deimos seemed to freeze n place at his sudden rush of words and he couldn't help but to stare, eyes wide, "F-For me?" He asked, sounding more then a little surprised. It was one thing for Gera to get a gift for Roxy since the blond girl seemed to be rather important to him but that he would get something for him was rather exciting, "Wow... wow. Thank you so much, Gera." He murmured, his cheeks flushing that much more. He looked at the box that he was holding and then to the one that his friend was holding. He wanted to take the present from him but his hands were full, "Once we get to the shop and I can put this down I will take it from you, thank you so much."

Gera felt. What was the word. Pleased? Happy? It was am mixture of thoughts and feelings he wasn't exactly use to. His strange smile slipping on his face that seemed to awkward to be there. "You like?" He pressed as if he was making sure that he was happy. He wanted Deimos happy. That was all that seemed to matter at this exact moment.

"Yes, it was a very pretty cupcake that you picked out, Gera so I like it a lot." Not to mention that it was special being that it was from Gera. He smiled in a happy manner as they walked along and then he perked up that much more, "Oh! Look, there's the shop." He said sounding quite excited since he got to put his things down... and then started to slow down his steps a bit and unconsciously stepped in closer to Gera, "You... You don't think... that Mrrh is home do you?" He asked quietly.

Gera looked blank for a moment as if trying to think about the question he was asked. Was Mrrh home? To his recollection he hadn't seen Mrrh in awhile.

"I don't think so...why you ask?" He inquired, though he didn't trust Mrrh as far as he could throw him he found it weird that Deimos was asking about the brooding preteen.

There was a happy sound of relief from Deimos, "He... doesn't like me very much, we had an argument and I really don't want to cross paths with him again." He said, giving Gera a smile, figuring that even if Mrrh was around he shouldn't have to worry since he was with Gera and Gera was surely far more formidable then Mrrh was by far. At least he was in his opinion.

Gera made a note to investigate that later. Argument? With Mrrh? Though he honestly couldn't say he had even seen Mrrh violent there was enough of his demeanor that gave cause for alarm.

"If he is home just stay with me. I protect you." He explained with a nod of his head as they went to approach the curio shop. He walked up the steps his heavy footfalls announcing his presence. Opened the door and took a peek inside. Nope. Not a soul.

Deimos couldn't help but to smile when Gera told him that he would protect him, "Thank you Gera." He murmured, seeming to relax a bit more. He'd of reached out to take his friends if his hands weren't full at the moment. He watched as Gera peeked in and waited to see what he thought, he would guess from the look on his face that nobody was around which had him relaxing quite a bit, "Safe then?" He asked, just to make sure. While he would like to guess at it he wasn't quite brave enough to risk it.

He nodded his head, yes it was safe as safe as it could be given hoe Gera thought most of the time. He gestured for Deimos to approach as if confirming that yes indeed it was safe. "What you argue about? did he scare you?" he asked wanting to gather more information about their confrontation.

He nodded the followed along after him, "I... told him that he needed to take better care of his pet. I found that dragon of his passed out and sick out in the middle of Durem." He said, still looking a little upset over that, "It could have gotten hit by a car if it stumbled into the street. He yelled at me saying it wasn't his and it just went from there." He gave a little shrug then looked around the shop, "Is there a fridge I can put the cupcakes in to keep them cold for now?"

Gera thought on it. Pet? Mrrh had a pe...t...ooooh the dragon thing Roxy like to play with. "I thought it was Roxy's pet..." he mused out loud as he nodded his head and gestured for Deimos to follow him upstairs. "It sleeps in her room, and she plays with it.." He continued, "I didn't know it was Mrrhs..." He murmured sounding as if he was now wondering if he should be more wary of the cute thing.

He blinked, "It belongs to Roxy?" He asked, head tilting ot the side, "I never saw her with it, when I met Mrrh he was out walking and playing with it." He said, now a little bit confused about the whole thing. He thought hard on it then shook his head, "I don't know, maybe they share the responsibility?" Either way it shouldn't have been out wandering around sick if you asked him!

Gera gave Deimos a look before he just stared at him looking confused. "I don't know." He replied with a small shrug. "Will ask next time I see." He continued as he led Deimos over to the kitchen and pointed to the fridge. "Fridge." He stated the obvious.

Deimos smiled and walked over to the fridge, sliding the box inside before he picked up the bag of gold leaf and then closed the fridge so he could walk back over to Gera. He gave a little flush and a smile as he reached up to hold the bag out to his friend, "Here, your present." He said with a shy smile.

Gera looked to the gift, it was perhaps the first present he had ever received, as he had always been rather stoic in the past even his guardian hadn't bothered to give him anything. He reached out to take the bag before he paused and then shifted to hand the cupcake box to Deimos. It seemed to make more sense to have Deimos take his gift first.

Deimos took the little box and he perked up that much more, "Thank you, Gera." He said, giving a happy smile before he opened up the box so that he could take the pretty colored treat out of the box and took a bite out of it. He gave a happy sighing sound, it was so tasty! It was even more delicious because it was something that was given to him instead of him having to buy it. Were he a cat he would likely be purring at the moment as he gulped down the tasty treat.

Speaking of cats, Gigan had hopped off of his Master's shoulder to go waltzing off into the shop to find a comfortable place to lay down while they were playing around here. He wasn't to interested in the two kids playing and exchanging gifts, instead he was interesting in a good nap.

Gera watched him as he ate the cupcake, watching it as it disappeared bite by bite. He had taken the bag from his friend and simply watched him as he soon gobbled up the cupcake. He gave a small awkward smile of his, before he lifted the bag to take out the gold foil. It was..pretty, it seemed a shame to absorb it.

"You sure?"

He nodded, "Of course! Unless you don't want to and just want to keep it, either way its for you." He said, giving a happy smile. He was curious though if it would turn Gera gold or at least part of him. The idea of it made him giggle a bit just from the mental image of it. He set to licking off his fingers as he watched to see what Gera would do with the sparkling gift that he gave to him.

He wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do. After all once absorbed he couldn't bring it back, but.. at the same time Deimos ate his gift..it would be fair it he absorbed his. He carefully unwrapped the foil staring it before he finally laid his hand down onto it. The blue veins on his body glowed as suddenly the gold foil seemed to become a liquid that was quickly absorbed into his body. The tips of his fingers were gold before it spiraled up his for arm. It made his arm sparkly.

Deimos gave a happy sound, reaching out curiously to touch Gera's arm where the gold had made him appear sparkly, "Wow! That is so neat Gera." He murmured, leaning in closer to inspect the change in his coloration before he patted his arm, "That is so pretty." He said, sounding as though he were quite impressed by what it was that Gera had done with the gold leaf.

Gera watched as Deimos fawned over his now gold sparkly arm. He liked his arm like this? He was a bit confused as to why Deimos liked it. Course he raised his hand to look at it more closely. Interesting. Course he could shift where the gold lay and he did. Thickening and thinning the lines as best he could to fallow the flow of his blue veins.

Deimos watched as the gold was shifted around by Gera, changing where the gold was and what it was doing before he gave another smile, seeming to be completely impressed and enthralled by his ability to manipulate it in such a manner, "That is really neat, Gera." He murmured, tracing a finger along the gold as though for a moment forgetting all about any fears he might have about Gera's spiny bits as he touched him. Gera was one of very few people that he was calm enough around that he could touch them in such an open manner so he took advantage of it.

Gera watched him and wondered why he seemed so impressed by it. This was just how he absorbed all metal.

"It is?" He inquired as he shifted his arm so the plating on it receded so he could see more of the simple plain metal underneath. A series of blue lines and gold intermingled now. "Why?"

He gave a little jump when the metal plates drew back and he starred at his simple arm that was underneath before he lifted his head to gaze up at the preteen before him, "Why? I don't know... I just think its really pretty! I can't do anything as neat as that. I just disappear when I get scared and make my legs disappear." He had a third power but it wasn't one that he had any clue about, one he used only in situations where his emotions went awry on him.

Gera hadn't meant to scare him but was glad he didn't vanish. Pretty? That was new, he hadn't been described as pretty before. The strange plating though soon came back one plate at a time clicking back into place like a puzzle. He closed his hand into a fist when down as it to make sure it was fitting properly and then lowered it back to his side.

"It hard to keep armor off." he explained,

Deimos watched as Gera's armor plates slid back into place before he smiled and lifted his gaze from watching his arm back to his face once more. He was thoroughly impressed that was easy to tell from the look on his face, "Thank you for today, Gera, its been a lot of fun." More then he was expecting when he'd gone out on his walk with Gigan. He'd thought that it would just be another long walk that was for exercise only but it turned out to be something far better.

Gera wasn't really sure why Deimos was thanking him, he hadn't done anything really. Except give him the cupcake. Was it really a big deal? It had been fun? They hadn't really done anything in that aspect either. Oh well maybe he just didn't know what fun really was..maybe he should get his sister to teach him.

"Glad you had fun.." he started though he wasn't what else he was suppose to say.
