Some children would say going shopping for cuttlery with their mother was boring. Others would say it's fun as they get to mess around with the different utensils. Ixxie was pretty sure, however, that most children would not seriously request to go there because they had the strongest desire to start collecting spatulas or something. And yet here the pink haired woman was with that exact reason.
Her three daughters walked happily ahead of their mother, the eldest two fluttering a bit as they moved. An angellic imp, a mechanic-to-be and a fuzzerly, all walking together and searching the store for very specific items. The oldest of the trio, Julie, was a purple haired angellic imp that happened to want to start a spatula collection. The second, a rainbowtastic fuzzerfly called Pogo, had decided she wanted to get miniature versions of their usual silverware, due to some odd kick she was on that Ixxie really didn't want to ask about. The last and most normal of the group was Patton, a tomboy whose only interest in this store was because she felt some new kitchen supplies - like a collander - would be necessary for her new "invention".

One would think they would have to deal with a whining child as the rather boring and menial task of picking out new silverware and other bits and ends for the kitchen...but then again Gera was not like any ordinary child. Of course Trinity sighed as she moved through the department store picking up boxes of the expensive stuff and then putting it back down in a grumpy manner. Sooooo expensive.
She had warned Gera over and over to NOT touch the metal things in the store....she was sounding like a broken record or a rather overly paranoid mother since Gera was behaving as he normally did. Obediantly.
"Gera stick close.." she stated for the four hundredth time though the boy was already nearby watching her with his strange like eyes. It was habit she guessed or more nervousness. He did absorb all the metal in her kitchen when he was 'born' and she couldn't afford to pay for all the stuff in the department store if the same thing happened. Hind sight twenty twenty they say...she should of found a baby sitter for the kid and not of brought him....

At some point during their travels, the two little groups ended up crossing paths. Pogo noticed Gera rather easily - the other child was unbelievably shiny after all, at least in her opinion.
"Wooooooow! Coooool!" the rainbow toddler squeaked, clapping her hands together and fluttering over towards Gera, looking rather interestedly at him. Julie darted after her sister, headwings a flutter. It seemed Patton and Ixxie were the only ones in the group that understood the term "personal space".
"Whoa, you're very shiny." Julie commented, smiling brightly at Gera and Trinity. "What's your name?'

Trinitiy had been eyeing a box of silverware critically as she wasn't sure it was worth the price and was a bit off in her own world when Gera was approached.
Gera half turned when he was spoken too, he looked to Trin for guidence as she had told him to not speak to strangers...but the new rather colorful person was asking him a question...and he felt compelled to answer.
He went to tug on Trin's shirt and the woman snapping out of her daydream looked to the boy quizically before she realized there was someone there speaking to him.
"It's okay.." She replied slowly, wow that other kid was like a living rainbow.
Nodding his head he went to face the girl again and then finally replied to her question.
"Gera..." He replied.
Trin sighed, "Ask her what her name is..." she instructed out of habit.
Gera looked to Trin and then nodded his head again,
"What name?"

Julie grinned. "Oh, I'm Julie and this is my sister Pogo." she said, introducing the rainbow creature who was still peering intently at Gera and admiring the way her colors reflected off of him.
"That's Patton and Mommy over there." the fuzzerfly said, pointing to her brown sister and pink haired Mama. "Issat your Mommy?'

Gera figuring since Trin was allowing him to talk to the girl's he didn't need more prompting to answer her questions.
The woman however shifted a bit uncomfertably at the subject of conversation, though Gera didn't pick up on it.
He shook his head and then pointed to Trin.
"Auntie Trin.." he replied to the question. He then looked to where the girl pointed to Patton and 'Mommy'. What was with this mommy business?
He tilted his head and then wondered if they would like his shapeshifting like Kay had.
He took his arm and raised it and then morphed it into a gaint spoon. They were in a cultery store after all.

Pogo and Julie "ooh'd" at this, clapping their hands and staring in wonder. "Woooowwwww!"
Patton even leaned over curiously, approaching the strange child slowly and looking intently at the now spoon-handed Gera through her goggles. "Fascinating."

Gera was...pleased? Sure he was pleased that the two girls seemed to enjoy his shapeshifting ability. He looked to Trin and then back to the girls. Auntie Trin seemed busy trying to pick out silverware...now that she realized he wasn't in any sort of danger.
"What else want see?" He asked his grammer and english rather terrible at this point.

"A spatula!" Julie said immediately, clapping her hands and watching in wonder.
Patton, her interest piqued, was now looking quite interestedly for the next transformation, her head peeking out from between her two sisters. "Did you learn to do this or do you just do it natterly?"

Gera looked to Julie and then pulled from memory what a spatula looked like. His hand and lower arm then transformed into one. He looked at is judging it was a fair rendition of the spatula before he looked to Patton who directed a question to him.
He had to think on it. Though he wasn't exactly sure what Natterly meant..he figured he got the gist of the question.
He shrugged, "alway could.." he replied with a nod of his head. "hard do with other arm." he explained showing his more advanced looking metalic arm.

Patton adjusted her goggles a bit, nodding. "I guess so." It was definitely an interesting construction.
"So, what're you here for?" Julie asked, looking wide eyed and nosily around. "I'm here to get spatulas."
Pogo nodded too, "I want little forks." the tot added.

Gera looked at the pair of girls before he just stared, he then appeared to be thinking pretty hard.
"..after...supplies. No more..forks, spoons..knives.." he replied as he recalled the list that Trin had come up with since he was the reason they didn't have any kitchen appliances at all left in the kitchen.
"Auntie says I ate them."

The girls' eyes widened to amazing proportions at that - enough so that Patton's glasses stretched funnily across her face from the way her skin had moved. "REALLY?!" they said in unison.
Immediately, they each had questions, and were pelting the poor boy with them. "What was it like?" "Did it taste good?" "Doesn't metal hurt to chew on?" "Was it stainless steel or real silver?"

Gera stared at the two girls looking from one to the other as he was bombarded with questions.
"Ah..." taste? He didn't recal there being a taste..since he didn't eat it normally. "Don't know..." he responded finally to the first question, "no?" he responded to the sercond and he tilted his head as he thought on the idea of chewnig on metal and he shook his head.
"Don't chew...just..absorb into." He struggeled to explain, if he had some metal he could show...or demonstrate anyway. As to the last question he just shrugged his shoulders.
Trin who had been idly listening into the conversation helped fill in the last question.
"It was everything..steel...silver...anything metalic.."

Julie smiled, "That's okay if you don't know." she assured him, "I don't know how I do my magic either." she said, pointing up to the christmas lights on her head and causing them to blink on and off.
Pogo smiled at Gera, "I have magic too." she agreed, trying to make him feel better by lifting up her hands and removing the left one with the right, then using the deatached left to detach the right and switch them. "See?"
Patton just shrugged and moved her goggles a bit, before wandering back towards her mother to search the stock. His intrigue had only lasted a short while, but most things did that.
