"Have a good day!" Switch said casually, if not a little sales-womany, to a customer that was just leaving with an armfull of things. It was great, because it a) helped her stay afloat and b) she knew she had no worry with this particular person over being returned to with a toddler or kid in tow. Once the door closed, Switch sat down heavily at her giant oak desk, flopping her arms over it and practically face planting.
""Geeeez I thought he'd never leave!" The woman whined, muffled by her own clothing and the desk. Kay, who had jumped up to sit on the desk, swung his legs over the side and laughed.
"He smelled funny" He said like it made Switch feel better, shining an apple on his obnoxiously bright pant leg before taking a bite. "An' he was boring." He said with a full mouth, chewing obnoxiously.
"Not everyone can be interesting, Kay. Maybe the next person'll be fun for you." The muffled voice sighed, but didn't move.

Trin sighed, Gera had grown and thus become too heavy for his bed. So ...she was out on the hunt for a futon. As well a new place to live since she got an eviction notice due to the noise problem Gera made when walking in their apartment.
He was larger than she expected standing already taller than her waist, but he remained as silent as ever watching and learning silently whilst staying her vigilant guard.
"Well..." Trin started as he asked the rather ..strange question of what the difference between girls and boys were. He pointed to a woman with a large chest and then bluntly asked what they were...why did he not have them...why were hers bigger than aunties?
She wasn't sure what was worse..the robotic obedient toddler version or the child version who seemed to have suddenly decided he had a brain. It was like the scarecrow from the wizard of oz....seriously.
Suddenly he stopped and then pointed at a certain familiar shop.
"Can see Kay? And Switch, and Murr?" He asked having forgotten the other tyke since he didn't get to really talk or interact with him much. Trin slowed to a stop looking over at the house and sighing.
"Yeah...sure but just a quick visit. And it wouldn't hurt for you to smile.. Gera it shows you are happy."
The boy blinked at her puzzeled by what she meant.
"Forget it...just go ring the bell.." She stated.
Gera nodded and did what she instructed promptly.

The doorbell rang and Kay, who had followed Switch's lead and flopped on the desk (though he was on his back while she was facing down), sat bolt upright. The only person to ever ring the doorbell instead of just coming in was Gera! Grinning, he hopped off of the desk and scampered for the door, still holding his half eaten apple when he opened said door, grinning at his friend!
"Gera! You're...huge!" Kay said in awe, staring up at the (slightly) taller boy. The wide-eyed look of awe faded quickle and the Shaman boy stepped aside to let them both in. "Ohyeah Hi, Trin." Kay said a little belatedly, waving to his buddy and his Guardian.
Switch tilted her head to look at the door and sat up, scrubbing her hand through her messy blue hair. "Heya Trin, how're you?"

Gera only blinked at Kay's reaction. It was a bit strange now being...taller than Kay, when just the other day he had been shorter. He walked inside, his heavy footfalls announcing his pressence. There was no way he could sneak up on anyone that was for sure.
"Hi Kay." He replied remembering he was suppose to repsond to the greeting. He tried that smile thing that Trin had mentioned, he guessed that he was feeling happy. It...seemed like a very forced grin..but it was there.
The woman waved to Kay as she was spoken too but she looked up and gave a sigh when Switch addressed her.
"Had better days...were out looking for a new place to live and a futon for Gera...he broke the bed frame on his other bed..." SHe explained with a sigh.

Kay's jaw dropped a bit when Gera smiled. Then, with a loud and happy laugh he pointed at his metallic friend. "You can smile! Yay, Gera!" He clapped once and Nahual hissed at the noise, but instead of biting his host he curled into his hair in a tight ball to prevent being jostled. The Shaman's red eye dropped to Gera's massive booted feet, tilting his head. "Not built for stealth are ya, buddy?" Amused, he looked down at his own bare feet...then back to Gera's boots...then stepped back a bit. Wouldn't want those shoes stepping on his toes!
"Ah, whatever, Let's play!" Turning, he waved over his shoulder to Gera with the hand that held the apple, going to his little corner of things. "'Cha wanna do?" He asked, despite already rummaging through his things for something fun.
Switch tilted her head a bit at Trin's sum of what was going on. "Why do you need a new place?" Green eyes shifted to observe Gera, looking at the very different boy from head to toe. "I...can see why you'd need a new bed...maybe something reinforced?" She suggested, suddenly very thankful her three children, as odd as they were, were pretty light footed.

Gera looked to his own feet, he had choosen that style cause it looked...right. Well after watching something called a movie..with things called transformers. But he was glad Kay liked them. Though he did realize he was a very heavy child..and was careful to walk over to where Kay was headed.
He didn't shrug at the question but mearly followed Kay, "What you want to do?" He inquired bouncing the question back at him.
Trin only rubbed her eyes and then shrugged, "I figured a futon on the floor would be best...he's pretty heavy...and yeah we are being kicked out..the neighbors complained about the noise since he isn't exactly a nimble or quiet child..."

Kay noticed the question was pushed back to him, and the boy tilted his head. "I wanna ride a roller coaster but we don't have those near here and Na thinks they're too dangerous." He said honestly with a disheartened sigh, taking a bite out of his half eaten apple. Chewing thoughtfully, he eyed his friend...and was pretty happy to see that pendant still in his chest. "We coul---" Kay voice cut off, and both he and Switch looked into the shop itself, eyeing it for a moment before both of them looked back at who they were talking to.
"Change of plans!" Kay said excitedly, turning away from his buddy but once more waving to him over his shoulder. "Can I use you as a ladder? I need'ta get up high and I'm too short!" He stopped in front of a tall shelving unit; what he wanted was sitting at the very top, and he couldn't reach it alone!
Switch took her time looking back at Trin, pretending that she had been staring at the boys instead of noticing a...rather loud mental pang of a connection being made. Something else in the shop was making metaphorical grabby hands at Trin. Luckily, Kay was probably going to get that helped along.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that...that's no good." She said honestly, looking a little down. Poor Trin...Gera broke his bed, they're getting evicted, and there was an item in the shop that was a little too eager to have her as a guardian. Poor, Poor Trin. After a moment's pause, Switch brightened in a Eureka moment.
"You could stay here for now?" She offered, pointing at the door on the wall behind her desk. "It's messy up there, but the Balcombes used to use it as their home; there's three rooms and a bathroom...so after a bit of cleaning and organizing it can be a good temporary home?" Switch didn't feel it often, but she was pretty guilty about all this happening to Trinity; she liked Trinity, and it was disappointing that the shop was doing all of these horrible things to her.

Gera looked to Kay and nodded his head and moved over putting his arms together he lifted them and then his hair seemed to lift and then fuse to his arms making a strange sort of ladder with actual rungs. He was kneeling so Kay could get up on him better his head tucked down between two rungs.
"Why high?" He asked as he waited patiently for Kay to climb on.
Trin only shrugged, after all it wasn't Switch's problem. Despite the fact that Gera had come from her store.... she pushed the thought aside.
"Yeah well...." She paused as Switch offered to let her stay here. She looked around and nodded her head slowly. "Wow..well...that would be really awesome...though you don't mind? I can afford rent..." depending on how much she wants...she thought the last part to herself.

Kay's jaw just about hit the floor when Gera actually turned into a ladder. He made a strained noise like he wanted to explode from excitement and joy, wiggling for a little bit before climbing onto his friend, completely unafraid. Gera wouldn't drop him, never! "I dunno, there're things all over the place here..." Kay whined, climbing as high as he could on Gera before reaching out to grab the item he could feel calling to Trinity. "I found an eyeball in a jar of formaldehyde over there." He said, pointing to a little ledge near the ceiling. With a little reaching he picked up the item, tucking it into the fabric belt he wore before climbing back down, hopping down the last few 'steps' to land with a bit of a thud on his feet.
"Here we go!" Kay said proudly once he was on his own feet again, taking the item from his belt and handing it to Gera. It was a CD case with the labels, both back and front, ripped at the right identifying parts. Even the label on the CD itself was blacked out! How odd. "You should give this to Trin sometime." He suggested, not really wanting to go up and give it to the woman himself.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Kay get the item and hand it to Gera...oooh how sneaky was he! Still, her attention went back to Trin and she nodded, sitting up straight in her seat. "If you don't mind the shop doing weird things at night...it groans and creaks and things move...but if you think you can stand it, you can live here for as long as you need! The only thing it doesn't really have is a full kitchen..." Switch had stayed there overnight a few times, it was creepy as hell! But...if Trin needed a place, it was the least she could do for a friend. "There is a basement door there too...the furnace and everything is down there, and there was probably a kitchen down there at one point, but now the entire thing is basically a creepy a** cellar." Switch hated going down there.
"It's not pretty, but I think between the four of us we can clean the other floors up; I don't think the shop'll mind at all, if you don't." She'd tidied up the second floor and it stayed tidy until Kay made a mess; apparently it was only this main floor that refused to be cleaned. "We can discuss rent later though...I'm not sure how long of a grace period eviction notices have..."

Gera was patient and made the perfect ladder. Because of what he was he was ablet o even stand perfectly still and not shake whatsoever. He listened but didn't move until Kay was back on the floor and then he allowed his arms and hair to reutrn back to normal. Well as normal as he could be.
He looked to what Kay had in his hands and then back to Kay. "I..should give this to Auntie Trin?" he asked looking at the CD and unsure if he should really hold it.... he had tested his strength on a couple of things and everything seemed fragile in his hands.
Trin tapped her finger on her lower lip thinking it over no kitchen...? Well that was a bummber but it wasn't like Gera ate...normal food. And she could survive off of take out and snacks for a while.
"Okay...if you don't mind. I mean I can't pass up a place like this. Yeah well...I've ben told I have until the end of the month..." She stated rubbinf the back of her neck though that meant only four days.

"Yup! It wants her to take it." He assured the Golemn boy. So far he was unaware of the plan to have Trin and Gera move into the shop, which was probably for the best. "I'll leave it here until you guys go home, kay?" Leaning over, he placed the CD case near Mrrh so they could find it again, them looked around. "So hey! Nice boots...did you think those up all by yourself?" Kay asked excitedly, moving to stand beside Gera, putting his dark brown foot beside Gera's booted one as if comparing them.
"I don't mind at all; I don't live here so it's pretty much just wasted space." Switch nodded, then tilted her head at the mention of the time frame they had to work with. Wow...four days? Her green eyes shifted towards the closed door that led to the tiny hallway, the door to the basement and the stairs to the second floor. "...Wow, uh...we have quite a bit of work ahead of us, then...think maybe you should go home and get your stuff together? Kay and I'll work to clear a couple of the rooms in the mean time." Wooow Four days...and about three decades of junk to clear.

Trin chewed on her lower lip as she thought on it. All the stuff she would need to pack, the dark room would need to be dismanteled a true shame really.
"Well Yeah we should probably be off...Gera is great to have around to help with that stuff though...he doesn't seem to tire and is strong as an ox." She stated with a nod of her head. She looked around wondering if there was somewhere she would be able to set up a temporary dark room.
"Gera, come on we have to go pack. Switch is letting us stay here for now!" She called out to inform the boy.
Gera looked to his boots and then shook his head. "saw on the television." he explained, "Trans..formers have boots similar."
Gera looked up after he had watched Kay put the CD down and he wondered why he kept looking at it. It was shiney ...like him. But it wasn't metal so he didn't have to worry about absorbing it. Still...
He looked to where Trin was shouting and tilted his head looking a bit blankly in her direction.

"Thank God for that, eh?" Switch chuckled a bit, having a kid like Gera certainly would come in handy in times like this! The job would get done pretty efficiently. Kay, on the other hand...was easily distracted. It'll be tough getting him to help for an extended period of time.
"And Kay, we have a lot of moving to do here, too." She called out shortly after Trin called to Gera. "Give me a call when you're ready, okay? We'll go help you move your things." She offered to Trin, poor Trin.
"Transformers? Never saw that! They must be awesome though, to have boots like that!" You could practically hear the imaginary pen in his head making a mental note to watch that at some point. His eye widened when Trin said something about staying here...as in here, in the shop?! SWEET! Letting out a whooping cry, he nodded eagerly to his Na and turned to Gera with that huge grin on his lips. "You're gonna live here?! That's awesome! We can play all the time!" Pooor Gera. Poor, Poor Gera.
It seemed like they were leaving soon, so Kay grabbed the CD and placed it in Gera's hand, more balancing it on the boy's fingers instead of letting him grip it. He seemed worried about breaking it, so this should help! "Remember, give this to Trin!" He reminded his friend, patting him on the shoulder.
Switch was standing by then, going to the door to the second floor. Kay saw her, then grinned at Gera again. "Okay, I'll see you later, yeah? Bye bye!" He fled to his Na quickly, only happily running upstairs to start moving things around.

Gera took the rather broken CD in hand and then stared at Kay who seemed very very very excited by this news. They were going to ...live here? He looked about the shop and then back to Kay. He offered Kay another of his rather...forced smiles. Before nodding his head and then moving back over to Trin.
He went to offer the CD but Trin didn't notice it right away..in fact she took it in hand tucked it into her jacket without hesitation and didn't even ask what it was or where it came from.
"Come on Gera..we got a lot of work ahead of us." She stated with a sigh.
