(Written from Nathaniel's POV) I was born before the beginning, and I lived the wars up until this very day. It's been a long fifteen years but I believe mother and father would be pleased with the way things have turned out. I'm almost sure, though I suppose since my last encounter with them was in my young childhood years I can't really say. Oh! I'm sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me start from that beginning...
It was a nice day. That's the first thing I can possibly remember; back when I was five I think. Mother was sitting in the yard, chatting about the war with father over afternoon tea and I was playing with Charlie, our St. Bernard. It was the first time I remember mother's smile and the first time I remember father's odd way of smoking. He'd take the cigarette and chew on an end and then he'd light it, take a single breath and blow a steady gray stream from his mouth. After that he simply crushed it in the ash tray on the porch furniture. I'm not going to boast we were rich, because we weren't, we simply just had enough to go around and we barely scraped by with extra that we saved in case of an emergency. Father was big on saving and mother was just as big on it, so delicate luxuries were avoided and only the necessary things were bought unless the entire family consented.
It seemed perfect to my small eyes. Mother used to say I ought to be careful when I went to sleep because one day my eyes would glow so green Charlie wouldn't want to stay and comfort me to sleep anymore, and then she'd kiss my forehead and leave. Yet, all perfect things must come to an end and by this time the war was a threat to most of human kind. One still night, my sleep was broken by Charlie's harsh barks and my parents rushing in and picking me up. I remember the tears, the pain and such when we took a ship overseas to goodness knows where. We were going to hide in a safe haven, we were going where everyone else was and I still don't quite understand what it was.
On the ship we met with my Nana, who was in charge of me. Charlie was supposed to come too but father forbid it. Like a good dog he waited by the dock's edge and watched me. My little hand reached out for him and endless cries of his name came from me. It would be in vain for shortly after I cried his name and the ship began to sail away he jumped in after us. Charlie didn't know how to swim and I watched him struggle with the waves and the screams and my little mind didn't understand when he sunk down. I tugged on Nana's skirt and begged her to bring Charlie back but she gave me a hug and told me he wasn't coming back. That was my first real exposure to death. I was about eleven.
Often times I asked Nana and my parents about where we going and after many days on the ship they gave me an answer. I was surprised the ship was even making it, but there was a good reason for everything I suppose, and there was just as good a timing to be told the truth. Now was that time, and I'll try to recount the exactness of my parent’s words...
'We're going to a place far off shore from home, to visit Auntie Clara and Uncle John. You remember them don't you?' Mother had begun. Indeed I did. The day before their flight to Australia, Auntie Clara and Uncle John had come to visit us. It made me wonder why we weren't taking a plane to see them but I suppose it was because my parents always feared crashing or that it was more dangerous then perhaps the boat was. But I remember that Mother had gone on to tell me they were working on an animal protection program and that we could be safe from the wars there.
At the time I didn't really understand the alien prospect or the wars going on, all I know was that things were frantic and rushed and even Nana rarely let me leave the cabin. After an indeterminable amount of time, and everyone was growing restless, we arrived in this supposedly safer continent, and Auntie Clara and Uncle John came to meet us. They looked as they had five years ago when I'd met them, both tall and both brown haired and brown eyed. They looked tanned and much unlike the British people they had left as.
We were able to spend quite a long time at their home, all four of us. I learned how to care for animals in this time, though I took no joy in it. Instead I took my pleasure in the library, where books taught me of history and science and where the fantastical worlds of fiction were revealed. However, soon I would find all my books gone and all my contacts to a world I've never known destroyed. The aliens had reached the continent, and by this time I had begun to understand everything. Ushering me out of the house, Auntie Clara was leading me to the Jeep that would take us to a temple in a forest that we'd use as our safe haven. However, Mother and Father were out with Nana in the village, so only Auntie Clara and Uncle John would be going with me and they would catch up later. They promised me, for I worried as a kid such as I might.
As we reached the forest edge, smoke reached my nose and it was with a crying horror I turned back to see the village burning and everything a fiery inferno of Hell. With wide eyes I prayed my parents and my Nana would be alright... however I never saw them again and as we bustled along silently towards the destination, the aliens followed. My heart was beating so hard I thought it would burst straight forth from my chest or that I'd throw up with the shock of some of my family dead, yet luckily I did neither and as we came upon the temple a light seized us.
Things after this are hazy and blurry and the details have escaped me. It is with a heavy heart I regret to say I don't remember much else except as soon as my remaining family was notified of the alliance and the school that had opened, they opted to ship me off. I had no choice, and so here I find myself. I suppose that's my entire story, it's rather boring I guess but... this war hasn't been easy for anyone and with my parents dead and my life turned upside down I've come to the conclusion that my Aunt and Uncle were correct to send me to this school. I want to fight, I want to avenge them... my parents... my dog... my Nana... and everyone else in my position.

Name >> Nathaniel JacobsonNickname >> NatAge >> 17Birthday >> November 27thHair >> Honey BrownEyes >> Toxic GreenNationality >> BritishLikes >> Foreign Substances Cooking/Experimenting Animals (secret) Note-taking Tea Jaden Dislikes >> Memorabilia/Memories Disrespectful People Lies Coffee Aliens Personality >> Little Nathaniel was a complex web of woven emotions. To his father, he was the epitome of British manners and obedience. Everything was decided by the man of the house, and so he was taught respect and everything along the lines and terms of his father. For some reason, he harbors many ill memories of this and much prefers to think of how defiant he was when his father was away. With his mother he had been an angel, doing anything for her she wanted. He would never get angry, never lose his temper, never throw a fit. He wasn't completely selfish, just extremely curious, and so he would test everything. People, limits.... anyone and anything except his father.
After the accident, he completely changed. It was like he shut out the world. He became cold, cruel and analytical. He organized things only for himself, so that if someone went into his things... they wouldn't be able to find anything useful. There was a sort of paranoia about it all, but that died out when his aunt taught him the joys of cooking. In that hobby he found his only solace. And that is how experimenting became more calming than cold. Gradually he learned to have polite conversations again, preferring not to talk much still.
He's extremely intelligent, but he doesn't show off. He says what's necessary and nothing more. Mostly he's indifferent to those he deems not worth his time or respect, but is always polite and almost... adoring... with heads of authority, like teachers. Lately however, he's been trying to open up a little more. Make small talk. He's terrible at it, and he often wants to give up. In fact, it's actually caused him to have a sort of short temper beneath the mask of his calm exterior. He does this for Jaden and Jaden only. That blonde boy is the only he's let into his cold world after the accident, and he thinks it might've been a mistake, but he won't take it back and he won't shut the other out.
He needs him. Like some kind of crutch. Because of him... he's even able to think more clearly with his research. Previously he'd been obsessively blinded with rage a lot of times. Rage against the aliens. Which, as a reminder, be wary of him when talking about his family. That topic is a short fuse and a loose canon. This section will be updated and edited accordingly to how things go roleplay-wise.

Teachers & Staff
Headmaster Normal Prinwaltz Respects. Very much in awe and respect of this great man, Nathaniel sees him as an authority to be reckoned with as well as a very interesting person. He enjoys how personable the other is while still maintaining boundaries. He hopes whole-heartedly to see more of him in the future.
Advisor Dante Araquenosse Curious/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Advisor Herei Fang Wary/---. An interesting and strange man.
Sir Ardanay Veilwood Respect/Curious. He is the head of the Science and Tech. department. An extremely inspiring authority figure, Nathaniel holds extreme amounts of respect for him and wishes he could have more conversations with him.
General Greg Larine ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Siona Hale ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Quentin Frumious Bandersnatch ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Master Kyuu Shinji --/-- Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Gideon Matthias Burdock ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Doctor Kenth Larine ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Alexis Falcone Interesting/Strange. A strange woman, but not unkind despite a few strange mannerisms. Nathaniel did not spend enough time with her to know her well, but she's curious. He wouldn't seek out her help in time of need though.
---
Students
Alexander Ivanova ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Elijah Delaiah Annoyed With/Dislikes. Their only meeting was one of chaotic discord and Nathaniel rather has no taste to ever quite talk to the boy again. He's a little too up beat for Nat to handle at this early stage.
Ethan Zachary Williams Respects/Curious. One of Jaden's friends, Nathaniel was confronted by him in an initially awkward meeting where threats were made. Nathaniel holds respect for him and seeks to know him a little better. After all, a friend of Jaden's cannot be all that bad, right?
Farlest Kanataki ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Nikolai Ivanova ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Jaden Dehann Admires/Adores. Jaden is the most important person in Nathaniel's life. He's broken down completely and shared everything with the blonde. He is only open with him right now and has learned he should try and put some anger away and make friends. Only Jaden cracks his mask and makes him smile, Nat is eternally grateful of him and extremely fond, borderline worship sort of feeling. He doesn't act awkward about it though. They are now going out (and in love).
Ka'hmesh Amsel ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Micajah Ackart Unsure/Curious. Nathaniel is extremely iffy about this boy. He doesn't really like his behavior or his standards, but the boy talks truth, and Nat feels like he can learn from him. He wants to know if that sort of curiosity can promote a friendship... since he doesn't understand friendship, he supposes it can't hurt to try with a kid like this (even if he did utterly insult him).
RuiZhi Tai Indifferent/---. Nathaniel did not really pay too much attention during their first meeting; RuiZhi has not made enough of an impression to matter much. This might or might not change.
Scyeth Akazar Annoyed By/Ignoring. From the moment they met, Scyeth was nothing but rude and lacked even the most basic manner set. His only consolation and good characteristic was that he made it sound nice. At first he pissed Nathaniel off, but he got ahold of his emotions and now is going to be pleasantly indifferent and ignorant of this boy. He despises him, but knows that this hate should instead be fueled into his research instead of wasted on that punk.
Weiyuan Leung Curious/---. He is an interesting person. Very meticulous and easy to work with. Tolerable. Nat is curious to see how he acts outside of class.
Brontë Corentin ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Alexander Wainwright ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Wynn Darbinian ---/---. Not enough information obtained to compile sufficient data.
Canaan Tate Kreery Strange/Interested. Nathaniel would definitely like to make friends with Cane and see more of him. He piqued the British youth's interest with his talk of bears. He's wise in a way that Nat doesn't quite understand. It throws him off and he can't help but want to know more.

Other
More Krovaski Respects/Likes. Currently compiling data for More. So far Nathaniel has a pretty large amount of respect for More, even though their entire meeting was silent. Additional information to follow, all data subject to change.
