Corrupt Eternal Fafnir Location: A4 Action: Watching the Hollow fall and leaping up to attack it again. Total: 10 (roll) + 10 (rank) = 20 HP: 37 - 26 = 11
Faustite was safe now, or relatively, and Fafnir glanced to make sure the landing hadn't been to hard on him. Not that everything right now wasn't hard, or dangerous... lightning was striking all over the field. Above them, the Hollow was still fighting, still striking out at it's attackers... but then it disappeared, zipping away into the clouds. It drew Fafnir's gaze up, searching for it... only to see those clouds part and a view of space open up before them.
He'd never seen space like this, except in pictures. It was so much... bigger, like this. So much more vibrant. The Earth, the Moon, the far away stars... it left Fafnir gaping as the Hollow lashed out towards the planet.
"No!" Fafnir gasped as a cloud exploded before them, obscuring their view. The shields? He'd known the cats were making them... he had to pray they had held after a blast like that.
Everywhere, rips were opening in space and lighting was lashing out, dark and painful. The wash of it left him feeling drained and beaten, like hooks were ripping his insides apart.
The monster came crashing down again and this time the shield the Vanguard had put up came apart. More lightning struck, more energy lashed all around. They had to finish this... before it could attack again.
"Fafnir's claws." The senshi growled as he ran his fingers over his lips and came away with long, cruel claws. He jumped and lashed at the monster with the rest, putting every ounce of strength he could into the strike.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: (enhancement) Fafnir's Claws
Fafnir touches his fingers to his mouth and a sickly purple gas forms around them into the shape of phantom claws that sap the energy and health of those who are touched by them. Those struck with the claws will see signs of disease where they were 'cut', and are significantly sickened by it as it saps their energy and health, affecting their performance. The claws can strike up to two different targets and the effect can last up to 30 seconds. He can use it twice per battle.
"...five one-thousand...sir!" The maid senshi's grim countdown ended abruptly as Fafnir appeared with Faustite, worse for the wear but intact. Strung taught with every passing second, Hestia didn't know whether she wanted to snap or smile at the sight. The Calamitous Hollow shifted before she could do either, transforming both itself and the battlefield in the process.
Scales the size of manhole covers began raining down, soon followed by vindictive strikes of black lightning that felt a lot more targeted than before. The first to fall was little Haymitch, and while Mizuki still stood, it was clear that she had snapped. Like a wound ripped open, stuffed with flowers and violence.
Then fell Tincalconite, cursing and grasping as Borax leisurely ate berries and asked someone else to take care of his subordinate. Giving the general a side-eye and quiet, "How negligent." Hestia quickly reached down to place the merchant's berry into Tincalconite's mouth, frown deepening as she did so. He really didn't look well.
Neither did Heliodor, for that matter. Stretching himself thin to reach the thing's mind while his body kept firing off magic, her friend looked like he was more than near death. He looked like he was determined to drag himself to it. No one among them looked particularly well and whole, but all still looked ready to fight until they fell.
Aiming one of her smaller basic attacks with almost surgical precision, Hestia dodged a retaliatory flash of lightning and moved toward Faustite.
Lacerta's gaze tracked around to those of the Dark Mirror Court before leaping up in order to strike out at the creature. Her scowl increased as it didn't seem that her attack had done much. Blinking slowly, the eternal dark mirror senshi tried to shake off the imminent sense of danger that flooded her system before feeling the lash of a lightning strike hit her. Oh, that had not been fun at all.
Shakily, Lacerta rose to her feet before clenching her fists. She was not done yet.
It hurt... It hurt like never before! Not even having the hand in her chest and power pumped into her hurt this badly. Yes the views of the universe, of Earth and space in general, had been awe inspiring but that feeling of shock disappeared with one strike of black lightning.
This time she didn't bother to wipe away the blood, she didn't even notice her nose had started to bleed from the pain and pressure her body had been under. "I'm better with close combat," She tried to quip back to the General King as she eyed the much smaller creature. Anger, and maybe the small glinting pin on her lapel, helped her aim straight and true.
Both daggers striking their target. "But I won't turn down a game or two of darts," Strengite said even as she staggered a bit and soon found her self taking a knee to keep her balance. Her head was really ringing and she could have sworn that things were going a little fuzzy around the edges of her vision. She didn't even recall her daggers, typically a major no-no but right now her brain just wasn't working right.

Mauvian Cuán Oileán Location: Moving from I7 to E8 (moving freely with permission to do a senshi upgrade) Action: Running to Haldane after sensing... something Total: n/a HP: 100 - 35 (1st round damage) + 13 (Ekstrom Shielding) - 38 (2nd round damage) - 10 - 3 + 28 (Ekstrom Shielding) - 26 (3rd round damage) - 15 (Black Lightning damage) = 26
Cuan lay resting for a moment, mouth slightly agape as she sucked in ragged breath after ragged breath. Somehow, they were still alive. Or most of them were. She couldn't speak for the Mercury knight who'd worked so hard to shield them all.
However, even through her pain and worry, she felt something in the air. Or rather, in her heart. She was needed and it was a call she could not refuse. Getting to her feet, she cobbled a moment before a determined look flickered across her face. Theb, she ran, dodging bodies and massive scales. The starseed that was calling was so close... So... There!
Putting on a burst of speed, the kitten leapt, flinging herself at a male senshi and attaching burr-like to his leg.
Pherkad- Senshi of Fans Location: G5-H5 Action: Getting her and Arthur to H8, attacking CH and collapsing Total: 1 HP:55-26(prompt)=29 - 18 (lightning) = 11
Only when they had reached another sizeable group ahead did Pherkad let go of Arthur’s hand. It was almost a blessing because the instant their fingers parted, a bolt of lightning struck her squarely.
A cry tore from her lips as she collapsed to her knees from the pain, while the world around her felt like it was swimming. There were bursts of bright spots behind her eyes as her limbs trembled beneath her own weight. For several heartbeats, all she could do was remain where she had fallen until she was able to breathe again
“I don’t have much magic left in me.” Pherkad gasped, lifting her head to look up at Arthur. Her expression was desperate, almost pleading, as if asking what to do once her last attack was spent.
The Calamitous Hollow loomed overhead, smaller than it was when the arrow had pulled it from the storm above them.
With great effort, she staggered to her feet and raised her hand weakly. For the last time summoned her ethereal fan “Wind Blades!” She tried to shout but felt breathless, and while three crescent-shaped blades did form, Pherkad felt the last of her strength ripped away.
She swayed, then crumpled sideways into Arthur, barely conscious as the world tilted around her.
Sailor Scout Attack: Wind Blades Reaching up above her head Sailor Pherkad grasps a hold of a magical partially transparent closed fan bringing it down to in front of her face. With a snap of her wrist the fan opens up, and brings her arm back and with a sweeping motion waving the fan directly at her opponent. The fan disappears once she finishes the sweeping motion.
This attack produces three 1' gold glowing crescent-shaped blades which are propelled forward at staggered distances by wind with the equivalent speed of someone running. This is a frontal cone effect with a spread of 45 degrees and reaches 10' from Sailor Pherkad. It is possible to dodge the blades but still get brushed by the gust of wind (easier at a distance). The strength of the wind isn't enough to knock a person down (unless they are already off balance) but it can make a person stagger backwards a step. The blades cause the sensation of shallow cuts if they successfully hit an opponent and disappear after contact or when they reach 10' away from her. The lingering sensation lasts for 30 seconds and this attack can be summoned twice.

Rainier, Squire of Mercury Location: H5 Action: Trying to encourage her group then channeling her magic Roll: 1+5(rank)=6 (either mitigate some lightning damage or as an attack) HP: 52-26(prompt) = 26
Just as everyone else had witnessed their world be blasted by the Calamitous Hollow’s excessive display of power, Rainier refused to let herself believe that what she saw had actually happened. She would not let herself fall into despair and falter.
Not now, not while there was still enough of them standing.
“This is not the end,” she placed a firm hand on Acrucis’ shoulder, who had slumped to the ground when the serpent crashed down upon the failing barrier. “Keep doing what you’re doing, there’s still enough of us standing. We can’t give up now.” Rainier looked to Beira and Surtur, who both looked like they were faring about as well as she was.
“We got this,” she said, though her words felt hollow in her own ears. This time, she channeled her magic at the beast, hoping that the effects might disrupt the storm or something that would offer them some slight reprieve.

Sailor Acrucis, Super Senshi of Prayer Location: H5 Action: Full of doubt, disbelief and despair. Total: Rolling after growth HP:52-26(prompt) = 26 (rolling for her after growth)
Acrucis wanted to trust that Rainier’s words were true but their world was gone and people around them were being struck indiscriminately by black lightning and disappearing completely. How could this not be the end.
Despite her sphere, she knew that not even a prayer could not save them, not when the only person with perhaps enough power to stop the Calamitous Hollow was Cosmos but she had not appeared. Almadal had provided them gifts but not even they were enough to provide enough shift in power to hold a candle to the serpent-god that had just destroyed their world.
From where she remained on the ground beside Beira, she looked down at her hands which trembled uncontrollably. Her family… Tristan… Everyone she loved and held dear was gone. The Sun, the Moon, the Earth… cold no longer be seen.

Name and Rank:Half-Youma General Wolframite Location: G3 --> Moving to F4 Action: Attacking Hollow Total: 8 + 10 = 18 damage HP: 145 - 26 = 119 - 14 = 105 ====================================================
It was hard to fathom what powers were in play at the moment. In the eye of the storm, it was hard to see all of what was happening around you. The noises were deafening, disorienting to find exactly how far out everyone was and who was positioned where. Everyone's forces were shaken up, woven tightly among the other energies that finding a pinpoint place for friend or foe was difficult. Still, there were a few notable clustered he could make out around them. It helped when the Negaverse favored darks compared to the stark whites that lit up whenever a lightening strike arched over them. The light was making him wince, covering his brow with a large hand as he looked around, watching out for the Giant Serpent for another chance.
Then, like a passing hurricane, everything went quiet. It would have been a reprieve if it didn't make his stomach drop. The air was thick like a heated summer's day, right before the storm came into a downpour.
All that light and electricity that had been arching about the Serpent like ribbons was now coiled into a mass and shot right at their planet. "NO!" He called out, unable to spot what was basically a planetary laser. A Death Beam from the mothership like so many sci-fi movies. Then the world opened to them, the curtain of clouds parting to show them the expanse of the universe that NASA wouldn't dare scoff at. It was enough to place both awe in the privilege to see something so captivating, but still feel the dread in how small you were in comparison. Was the Serpent wanting to show that they meant nothing? That they were specks on the universal map in comparison to what it knew? A bit of a flex - but Wolframite wasn't about to sink into thoughts of being miniscule or even entertain ideas of fruitlessness here and now. It was made, and he could taste that.
Pissing off the opponent was wonderful - but he wanted more of that. He wanted anger and despair. It was targeting their planet, and he wanted to show how bad of a decision it had made. If this thing even had a starseed, he wanted to see it crushed.
In another moment, the stars stitched together and rolled into the Calamitous Hollow. Like snapped puppet strings, the Serpent fell and slammed into the shield, shattering it all around them. The barrier was gone, and what time it allowed was spent. Twisting around them, the Serpent was back on its talons, and black lightening arched around it. The power of it shot out and through Wolframite, and he gripped his chest, taking a deep, grounding breath to work through the sensation and steel himself. It felt not unlike the tearing of corruption into his starseed, but it went through and away.
It was a taste of something that would come again - even stronger if they didn't end this.
"Carminite. We don't have much time." He told him, warning him of the timer not closer to zero. Whatever ticking bomb was lit at the start of all this was reaching the end of it's fuse.
"Se should move closer to the Queen. Gather our forces."
Turning, he reached out to slash at the monstrous creature again, before landing. "I'm moving." He said, and started to head out. He called out to Lavendulan. A mental message to head to the Queen. It was the best place for all of them now.

Mara, Senshi of Manchineel Location: I3 Action: Being 'dusted' and rather apologetic about leaving her family behind Total: N/A HP: -2-26= -28HP ((I apparently mathed wrong last round)
Even as her body started to feel the inevitable pull of gravity, rather ironic since they seemed to be in space if those visions the creature created were anything to go by, Mara didn't move. She couldn't.
She couldn't even react when her body was covered in covered in sudden, violent black lightning, eviscerating her corporeal form. It was gone. Gone before it had even reached the outstretched arms of Miyamoto below. It had disappeared, completely and totally.
And yet she was still there.
And not.
Her eyes saw something her brain refused to see, to understand. A Darkness. A star that was but a void. Was it alive? Dead? How was she seeing it? Was it because she was no longer among the living? Or somewhere in between?
She did not want to be here, not like this. Not trapped here unable to do anything. She had failed at her mission. Failed at her promise. Failed Beni and her family. Mara realized that her own drive to prove herself had left her there, alone, with no one to save her.
If she could even be saved anyway.
"I'm sorry." Her apology wouldn't be heard by any of those she left behind. "I am so, so sorry."
She was trying. Trying so hard. And she was oing better. This wasn't like those fights she'd lost, when she was a new page. She was here, with her friends, side by side like the knights in the stories. She was doing everything that she could, and it was working.
A little bit at a time, the creature was getting smaller.
And then- Earth.
No. No no no. Her jaw dropped. Her careful knightly poise faltered.
Had they- had they failed?
She could picture it, the blast of lightning hitting the planet just like that. Everything being torn apart. Her mother, screaming. Almere's cat, Aurora, always hid under the bed during thunderstorms. Had she heard the lightning coming? Had she been scared in that split second before-
The other around her were still fighting. Halle held his shield strong. This was part of the stories, too, wasn't it? The part that looked like the end?
"Don't-" she sniffed, she had started crying without noticing. "Don't give into despair." She wished she could believe her own words. "The night, it's always darkest before the dawn."
post 12345 Location: A6 -> ???? Action: A small attack, then a KO, then a ???? Total: 10 HP: 14 - 26 [Round] = -12, KO
When the thing fired at Earth, her home, Spectrolite couldn't keep herself from screaming. Sure, she knew about the shield satellites, but in that moment? All she could think of, all she could see, was her father and brothers down there. Living their lives. Just being normal people with normal problems and concerns. And how quickly it all could be yanked away. Consumed by this horrifying alien that ate worlds and people and--
The barrier failed, the creature was knocked back, and though it continued to assault them, she was…. numb?
Maybe it was the relief she felt. She managed another quick attack at it, at least, tossing the rings again at it.
But maybe it was also the… the expectation. When the lightning struck her, black and hungry, she wasn't entirely surprised. She was a weak agent, and she knew that. That she'd not make it back to her family… was sad, yeah. But mostly because they would be sad. As Spectrolite faded into nothing, she took comfort in the fact that at least Jericho knew her family, he could figure out something to tell them. Sorry to leave that to you, Jer…
That last thought though failed to linger as she found herself staring at… at something. A black hole? It was just… hunger. Hunger incarnate. Purple lightning and energy moved across its surface when she looked briefly. So many crystals hung in the air, encircling it. Purple energy and white… what were they from?
It was beyond anything she knew, anything she'd heard of. This thing was the Dark Star, wasn't it? The thing the Calamitous Hollow was a Herald of. The thing it announced. Dread and fear gripped her as she stared at it, recoiling as it seemed to try and drag her soul from her--or was that all of her? A soul was all that existed now, wasn't it?
She wished she could tell Jericho about this. Warn him and the others. If the Calamitous Hollow was that bad… how would they deal with this? She felt like they would defeat the serpent, sure. But how… how do you destroy something that looked like it could consume a galaxy if it tried?
post 1234 Location: H6 -> ??? Action: One last swing at the CH, then… ??? Total: 8 HP: 20 - 26 [Round] = -6, KO
It was likely a foolish choice to have come here, he knew that. He'd known that from the start. He just didn't… really think it'd end like this.
The fear gripped him when he saw the creature attacking Earth, thinking only of his family who had no warning, no idea. They didn't deserve this. No one did. The planet didn't. He managed another attack, at least, before the creature had moved, but he had no real weapon. No real use in a battle. How could he hope to help protect the planet against a creature that could send out energy like that?
Whatever relief he'd felt when it was blasted back at the Calamitous Hollow was… well. The last real thing he'd felt, of sorts. There was a sudden pain, but it was so brief. And then he… he saw nothing. Felt nothing. He was gone. Unbeknownst to him, Yetzirah's body faded to naught, lost from the field.
If this was the afterlife, though, he wanted a refund.
The darkness before him, consuming, hungering, trying to pull and dissolve his soul, his very self... he'd read about something called the Dark Star in the database, from what info others collected. This was it?
Yetzirah wasn't sure if he cried or not, there in that place beyond all, staring at this impossible entity, this impossible force. How do you destroy something like this? How do you prevent it from consuming everything?
The hollow, empty sensation he felt, the dread and loss… while he didn't believe in Hell, he certainly would call this that.
post 1234567 Location: G8, with Aquitania, Metis, Totoro, Niflhel, Senshi Mauvian Snowball, Vela, & others! <3 Action: Attacking CH, and Assisting Vela Total: 5 + 5 [2nd] = 10 HP: 104 - 26 [Round] - 15 = 63 Humanoid form, Engraved Medallion makes her energy signature as it was as a feline
Watching the Calamitous Hollow blast so much energy at the Earth was no less frightening, despite how much faith she had in their creations. Her breath stopped for a moment, till the storm was blasted back at the beast, and she let it out with a tired smile.
For now at least, they could focus on the creature before them. One that looked extremely angry. Realta at least managed a swipe up at it again, appreciative of her claws to add a bit more than her punch alone likely would have done--but still likely more than a cat's claws, annoyingly enough.
When the blast from the creature rolled through the space around them, she winced, hissing as she crouched down near Metis, Totoro, and Aquitania. The black lightning was more than a bit disturbing… "Still in one piece," she called back to Niflhel, but before she could check on anyone else…
Her ears perked up. A sensation like a tug, a call, hit her, and the Mauvian stepped away from the two chibi senshi. "Stay with Metis and the others," was all she could quickly say to Aquitania and Totoro, steps light and hasty as she moved somewhat towards the call. But the source came to her, she realized, as a Super Senshi (Vela) stopped in front of her. Realta blinked rapidly, feeling that power radiating from the young woman's starseed, and she smiled.
"Please, summon your henshin pen out of subspace?" She held out her hand to the senshi, not really feeling it was the time or place for proper introductions and such.
"Soon, likely. It's angry now, extremely so. If it's attacking us like this, we're a threat to it," she said softly to Totoro's question, hoping it would be… a relief of some sort. Good news. She did feel they had the creature in a tighter spot, but the way so much black lightning now moved through the air around them with the barrier gone…
It was horrifying. Metis hissed out a quick, "Future Sight," casting another ball of energy that vanished from in front of her, only to appear again near the Calamitous Hollow and explode there.
The Earth was safe, for now. Energy was wild around her, overly bright and yet still filled with horrible voids in her sight. They needed to end this now.
She was more than a bit surprised when Realta moved away from them, brows furrowing behind her blindfold... till she registered another senshi's silhouette near the humanoid Mauvian. A small smile graced her lips, and she crossed her fingers for some more good news shortly...

Wade watched, eyes wide, as he saw the visions. The myriad of sights. Struck dumb and mute by the shock and awe of it all, at least until the pain of the creature striking into the shield shook him out of her reverie. "s**t," He muttered to himself.
He fished out the little berry that had been in the pouch from earlier, and nearly tossed it into his mouth but after glancing at the other two that were standing there with him, he did something rather stupid.
Wade tossed the little pouch with it's single berry in it at the cat-girl, "Here, your looking a little green around the gills." He wasn't doing much better, this he knew, but he still felt like there was a bit more in his gas tank. "Be right back," He tipped his metaphorical hat, mostly cuz his uniform hat was in his subspace, and went for another flying leap to punch the monster as hard as he could, the pin he had on glinting in the flashing light.
He hadn't even seen the other officer get struck by the lightning, nor was he aware that he too faced the same fate. All he knew was that his strikes landed before black lightning ripped through him, and his mind shied away from what it was seeing. Not comprehending.

Focusing as the last round of magic had faded, she felt so very small as the creature attacked Earth.
It couldn't have done that, there had been other things in place? Hadn't the others done their job?
It shook her, and as she turned toward the sound of her soon-to-be husband, she felt something in her chest that went beyond the contracts and strict rules she surrounded herself with to keep people from getting close where it mattered.
She reached out, grasping at him as the blackness took over before he vanished. Trying to grab hold as if it might stop what was happening and keep him here with her and the other family members of his.
Nononono why now? Why like this?
Shrieking as they vanished, she crumpled to the ground and looked at the empty space he had just been. There wasn't anything left, and even with all the fighting around her, she felt like everything had frozen as she stared and tried to fight tears from coming. It wasn't good to be seen crying, to be seen weak, but she couldn't stop them as she rubbed at her face, knocking her glasses askew.
She looked at the smallest Evans, the one that knew the most, as she shook with sobs.
"Bring him back... bring him back... you have to know something. I... I think I love him." Growing quieter as she fought to get the last words out, ones that she would have joked about before to the blondes and their all-too-close and odd family grouping. She didn't like being seen like this, but he had to know something; he was the one who knew about all this, which was why he was her General and not her brother.

Freezing as an attack shot towards Earth, he didn't get much time to focus on it as he heard and saw Mara falter. Hurrying, he tried to help, but that lightning was back and it hurt, worse than ever before.
It was worse than each and every time he'd gotten promoted, indescribably worse than that. It felt wrong but with that and him seeing Gerard disappear, he had to do something. He knew Beni, and this would be grounds for probably some of the worst decisions he may ever see his cousin make.
So he had to keep standing, keep trying to fight even if he was better at taking care of the wounded. Again, he sliced at the thing, giving Miyamoto a worried look before keeping an eye on his cousin.
