Hey Gaians,
We've made some clarifications to some of our Project Custom Ticket rules. We wanted to take a moment to highlight these updates.
Regarding parodies: We want to clarify the parody clause in our rules. We ultimately decide if an item has or needs to be changed enough to be considered as a parody. As a result, we have added a "at our discretion" qualification to our parody rules. This means that we have the right to reject an idea if we do not believe enough changes have been made to consider it a parody. This was previously in the rules, but this is a reminder and clarification.
E-mail Subject Line Changes: In order to aide in the process of more efficiently processing your e-mails, we are changing the information you need to include in the subject line of your e-mail. We now require Ticket Type, Username, Date. For example:
Project Rainbow Ticket - excitable sloth - 10/7. This is to make sure that for every ticket you send in, you will get a confirmation email that we received your email. Please note that if you do not include this subject line, there may be a delay in replying to your e-mail. If you have sent in an email already, you do NOT need to resend an email, just moving forward if you send in another order, please follow the format.
Ticket Acceptance Change: We are changing the way in which we accept tickets into the queue. Previous tickets were accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Moving forward we will be assigning tickets into queues based on the type of ticket that is being submitted. For example, if you e-mail in for a Golden Ticket, it will be placed chronologically into the Golden Ticket queue. If you e-mail in for a Rainbow Ticket, it will be placed chronologically into the Rainbow Ticket queue. Please keep in mind different tickets types require different amounts of work and that different teams work on different tickets.
Tagging Requests: If you wish to tag your friend or another user in your custom item, you have to get approval from that person first. To verify approval, please use our Custom Ticket tagging thread
here. What you will have to do is post in this thread and quote the person you wish to add to your tags. That person then must quote your post and post that they are approving of their username being used as a tag. Once you both have posted, you must include the links to these posts in your e-mail.
That is all for these updates! These changes will make the Project Custom process much more fluid and efficient for you than before. We thank you for your understanding as we continue to improve this process for you.
