New Angel Subscriptions between 12AM PST January 12th and 11AM PST January 15th

On Friday we encountered an issue that affected new Angel Subscriptions: the charge for the subscription went through successfully, however the Gaia Cash and Sealed Angel Items did not grant. Renewals for those already subscribed were not affected.

Unfortunately, while we are usually able to push the benefits through when we encounter bugs with our subscriptions, we were not able to do so this time.

We have issued refunds to those affected; for those who have written in already either through Live Chat or a Billing Ticket, an agent will follow up with you about this update, so please keep an eye on your inbox and spam folders.

Otherwise, if you are one of the people who were affected by this and are not seeing a pending or completed refund for that charge, please either write into Live Chat or file a Billing Ticket so one of our agents can assist you!

Those who were affected and wish to receive the Gaia Cash and this month's Angel Item can resubscribe at their convenience.

Angel Subscription and Perks renewal fixed

There was a bug this morning that stopped all Angel subscriptions and perks from renewing.  The issue had just been fixed and all outstanding subscriptions should be renewed.

Offers Cancellation Update

Hey Gaians!

All issues involving canceling offers should now be resolved. This fix required some significant backend upgrades which will be applied to the rest of the Marketplace in the future. For now, please let us know if you have new or ongoing issues with canceling offers!

Runway GCash Prizes Reduced

Hello, Gaians,
I’m writing to let you know that the Gaia Cash prizes for Runway have been reduced by 50%. This change will affect the contests running on Monday, February 19th and all contests going forward. Please know that this decision was not made suddenly or lightly.

Participation in Runway contests has been low for several years now (and has neither improved nor declined as a result of recent updates to the feature.) And, while Runway has been awarding winners a total of 10,000 Gaia Cash per day for many years, the majority of participants do not enter GCash contests unless they have a free entry available. Although the feature was never intended as a Gaia Cash sink, the daily loss is ultimately unsustainable and has been for quite some time.

As a note, we are currently looking into options that would provide additional opportunities for Gaians to enter the GCash contest throughout the week without having to spend Gaia Cash. And we hope to have more information to share with you in the near future!

It is also worth mentioning that we are aware of ongoing concerns from participants about both the randomization of avatars up for voting and the vote removal process that occurs once a contest has ended. The developers will continue to review these aspects of the Runway feature and make adjustments as needed based on feedback and corresponding data.

Aquarium Signatures Are Back

A number of bugs for Aquarium working under Ruffle had been fixed, and we've just re-enabled aquariums in signatures once again.  Once tanks starts to glow we will be testing Booty Grab to see if it works with Ruffle.

There are still a number of bugs such as not be able to tap, and some fishes still do not show up in the tank.  The Ruffle team will be working on those issues soon.
