What you see of me now
is just a shadow
left behind of what once was
a silent and forced echo
of a soul long lost
i fell into a dark abyss
in my quest to seek
the lost hourglass of my life
and tilt it over
to try to regain
those happy memories
which once filled my life
and are now lost,
gone forever
