Worst phone call i ever got.

• Description: why was i the last one he choose to call, out of all of us kids, and his family, why did he call me? i still don't know... but i do know that i cant get his words out of my head. 5-20 years is a long time to be without a dad.
  
  p.s. its been a wile sense i have done poetry, but i did read over it carefully. vote fairly this is coming from my heart. (though constructive criticism is appreciated)

to the day;
the day you left
With just a phone call
I remember.
Never in my life I swear,
have I ever been so scared
but when I heard the words
i knew it was there.
You had done something,
though I didn't know,
but then into the blue
the colors show.
With words like
"Scum of the earth"
"What a horrible man"
harsh words they tell me,
and I understand.
What you did is unforgivable'
but even still,
i love you the same,
im here for you dad,
ill help carry your shame.

I received a similar phone call a few months ago. I know I cant say I know your pain exactly because everyone is different but I lost my dad too, just last September, and I was very close to him. This was a great poem. Keep it up.
