• When I wake in the morning
and step out of my bed.
I feel something by my foot
    and it is Bear's head.

He wakes with a yawn and stretch
then gets up on his feet.
    Following me to the bathroom
and just follows my little beat.

    Chorus 1:
    That dang dog Bear
    he really is a pain.
Whether it's his excitement or attitude
    he'll drives us all insane.
But still he's just a puppy
and his mind is just a fog.
    We all still love him
    cause he's the annoying dog.

When I've done my own business
I walk to the back door.
I grab his leash and take him
for a walk for a mile or more.

We come back in and settle
in the living room for a snack.
but he's still running and jump
    like he's trying to attack.

    (Chorus 1)

    My big bro comes out
    and settles the dog down.
    And says "Man Bear's annoying
maybe I should take him back to town."

I beg him that Bear should stay
even though he was always bad.
I say "But Alan just give me a week
and soon Bear will be a dog of fab."

    (instrumental)

And after a week Bear was
the best dog that I knew.
    and soon everyone had seen
that Bear was good as new.

And now my family is great
    and Bear is very nice.
No more jumping or following us
    he just follows orders precise.

Now if you come to my home
    and you open the door.
You'll good ol' Bear a comin'
to greet and amaze you more.

    Chorus 2:
    That great dog Bear
he is no more a pain.
He's still the same ol' dog we knew
but only he keeps us all sane.
He might still be a puppy
but his mind is not a fog.
but now I will miss him,
as a his ol' small self
that made our laughs his wealth
    I'll miss that annoying dog.
