• I would wish to see my grandfather. I know I ought to wish for something that could come true though. My grandpa died in 1989 and I was born in 1992. I hear he was an incredibly nice guy. Other wise I could wish for my mom to not be sleeping with a ton of rich guys. If my grandpa were still around he would have put a stop to that as soon as he found out. She lies to my grandma all the time to get around it. My dad got rid of her for it when I was seven. But I really can't complain. My life could be worse.

Lets see, I could wish a wish that is all for me and selfish. I wish my mom would stop. I yearn for the day my mom stops taking my dad and I to court. She should know she won’t win. I hope that she understands he changed my vacation for a good reason. My grandfather is very sick. My dad changed the date for the wedding. All my family was up here too. He was not the one who wanted to change my vacation, I was. I wanted to go to the wedding. I wish my mom would forget about picking fights.

I could always wish for a new computer, a new car, or another bike. I could wish for another gun, or an MP3 player, even a digital camera. I could wish to meet my favorite actor, singer, or band. They are all fairly harmless wishes. They are even more selfish. Why not a cure for cancer or arthritis? Well that will not come true in the next decade. At least those wishes are not selfish. There really is no wish that is good in all ways.

I will not wish for world peace. If there were world peace then we would fight about other stupid stuff. People don't have fun unless they are in some type of fight that includes competitions.

I would wish that people would have better speech. That would also make things worse because people would go deeper into peoples lives to find something wrong.

I could wish to go back in time to change a couple of things in my past. Oh wait I would not wish for that either. If I went back and changed something the present and future would be changed. There are many good things that have happened since the not so good things.

People are stereotyped to often. Teens are unruly and troublesome. Geeks have glasses. Popular is better. Caucasians verbalize the best. If there is a crimes and an African-American is around he/she is more often than not on the suspect list. All southern citizens are rednecks. I wish people would not stereotype people. Sometimes they are accurate. In general labels and stereotypes are completely wrong.

I could wish for all the money in the world because then I would be rich. Then there would be nothing to spend it on. Money would be worth nothing except to be written on, which would still be illegal.

My grandfather is really sick. Incalculable other people are dying and in pain. I would wish for a treatment to all of the sicknesses that there are. I cannot believe how many people are in pain.

People talk to loud, particularly when they are on cellular phones. I would wish that people would not agitate people while on their phones. I wish people didn’t curse other people out. Numerous people don’t seem to know how to speak without cussing. I know many people who swear every couple of words. Swear words are supposed to be bad. People use them as to modify words to be good. So you never know if your being insulted of commented.

So if my teacher ever asked me to write a paper on what I would wish for I would refuse to do it. I would write why I would not wish for what my first thoughts were. Most of the wishes I can think of at first are completely impossible to come true. The others would be selfish.

In the end I would never wish for anything except for people to understand what "be careful what you wish for" means. If there were a wish that actually came true it would always have a down side. It really does mean every wish there could possibly be has a down side; no matter how harmless the wish. People are too selfish to wish for something that is really good. People think “hey one wish, I want a big screen TV.” They don’t think, my family and others are in sickness, how about a cure. “For every action there is and equal and opposite reaction.”
