Chapter 2 - Dazed and Confused

She woke up strapped to a bed, her wrists and ankles tightly strapped down as she struggled weakly, trying to pull herself free. With bright white lights in her face, she was just coming out of her chemically induced slumber, her vision was blurry and all the talking just muffled mumbles all around her. She groaned before a man dressed like a doctor would now be standing at her side, staring down at her, startled and weak, she felt the p***k of an IV going into her arm, the strange sack containing a seemingly glowing green liquid. Before she knew it she was out cold once more.
Once she had awoken this time, she was in a dimly lit room, fairly small, only about nine feet by nine feet and a ceiling that was probably only about six to seven foot high. She let her vision settle as she groaned and sat up slowly, looking to her arm to see a small gauze with some medical tape over it. She slowly stood up, her legs giving way under her as she fell back to a sitting position on the old, creaking bed. She looked down to see it wasn't much, some old rust springs on four legs that had wheels on them, the mattress was only about three inches thick and smell old, musty and had a few stains on it that she didn't want to identify. Once more she attempt to stand, this time gaining some footing and walking slowly, yet unsteadily to what she could only imagine was a big iron door, she was around four foot something, tall for someone so young but she got on her tip toes and peeked out the small dirty window embedded in the door. There she saw another room like here just across the way, looking side to side she saw, as far as she could see, a hallway with dim, dirty, bug filled lights, the walls were painted with an off white or at least now that's what it was,the paint was chipping and peeling and the floor was probably once white and polished but now it was stained with what looked like dried blood, mud, dirt and no telling what else. She could hear crying, whimpering, screaming in all different direction, her heart quickened as she realized such. She then heard a different sound, it was the thump of someones feet, her body tensed up as she quickly turned and ran back to the bed, quickly laying flat against the floor and sliding under it, shaking and suppressing tears. As she lay still and quiet as possible the foots steps only got closer and louder until they got to the door of the room she way in and then they stopped. She took a soft breath in and almost stopped breathing all together as she heard the jingle of keys, the click and pop of the lock being manipulated and the large, heavy door groaning as it was opened.
