• Part 1

As I held the now cracked gem, little tendrils started creeping out of it onto my arm. In my already freaked out state, this was more than enough to get me flailing my arm in an effort to get it off. It flew through the air a short distance and immediately shattered the moment it hit the ground and was quickly blown away by the breeze. The little thing was gone and I was once more left to wonder where on Earth I was.

Fact of the matter is, I wasn't on Earth and it didn't take me all that long to figure that out what with the purple everywhere and crystals growing out of trees. Sadly, this realization did very little in helping my anxiety and it was about then that I really began to freak out. I realized that I had no idea where I was, how I'd gotten there, or if I was ever going to find a way to get home. I began to have a bit of a mental breakdown.

After I had a bit of self pity, I decided to try to find my way out of this frickin forest. My first course of action was to try and find a source of water which, thankfully, I managed to achieve in a few hours. Unfortunately, the water was about as familiar as anything else in this crazy place. While it certainly acted like water, it looked golden instead of blue. And no, I don't mean it looked like molten gold flowing through a stream, I mean that it looked like the ocean at sunset.

Since I was extremely thirsty, I decided to try the stuff despite the fact that doing so was probably one of the least rational things I had ever done. Thankfully, it didn't seem to adversely affect me and I decided to continue looking at those strange gems in the trees.
