Original as in putting your own twist on the character is not really what the cosplay arena is for (here the idea is to actually recreate the character accurately). If you want to do a genderbent version of the character, then it's really better suited for the original arena.
With that being said, you still want to make your entry standout, and the best way to do that is not by altering the character but by portraying the character in a skillful way, like recreating a specific scene. - Report As Spam

But i do have to agree with frozen. You didnt really match the reference, and it really doesnt look so much like him.

- There are some major issues, first Spencer is usually well dressed and neat, but your avatar has a very disheveled look. Second you didn't match the colors of your avatar with those shown in the reference. And last, unless you aren't trying to win you should make sure the avatar is the appropriate gender other wise you don't stand much of a chance of doing well.
