My mother... edit I put the link to this in my signature since I had been getting a lot of PMs and profile comments regarding it. I just think it'll be easier if all comments go in here. And thank you for all your kind words. I really appreciate them. I don't know who reads this, probably no one, but I felt I should write something regarding the past couple days... My mother passed away due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis November 7th. She was 53 years old. Now, the fact that she made it to 53 was a miracle in its self. Most people with CF are lucky to live into their 30's. She had a milder form of the disease, but it was of course still deadly. And the fact that I am 20 (21 in just a few days) and my brother is 15 is painful because we will now have to go so many years without a mother. We know that she will always be with us and watching us now, but the fact that she isn't physically here is very hard. Now that she is gone, I know I'm going to have to be here for my dad more than I ever was before. We were never close, but I think even in this time of great tragedy, it has helped my family grow closer and I hope things only get better from here. I know that while I may be suffering with grief, my mother can now breathe without pain now and I am so happy that she is in a better place and will be waiting to greet me with her arms wide open when it is my turn to pass. 	I'm so sorry about your mom. I wish I could say something to make it better for you but I know there's nothing anyone can really do, it may not be much comfort but at least she isn't suffering anymore. I'm not religious but I do believe that we will be with the people we love who've gone before us when we die.

	I know coming from a total stranger this probably doesn't mean much, but please accept my condolences. It's so hard to lose a family member to illness.

	My grandmother passed away this year from complications due to ovarian cancer. Diseases suck and losing a loved one to that disease sucks even more. I'm sorry you lost your mother and wish you and your family well in the coming months and years. I hope this holiday you can sit with other members of the family and chat and tell stories with one another about you mom. That's what we've done, it helps us with our grief. hugs heart

	I don't even know you, but I'm sorry about your mom, She is in a better place and will be looking after you and your family... My step dad died 1 year ago from that same day, my sister almost died from a terrible disorder most don't even know about, But one thing I've learned, no matter what though you might not see them or hear them, they are there with you no matter what i wish you and your family the best of luck heart

	I know, I speak for myself and many others. But I know slightly of the pain your feeling. My father passed away last March, and believe me, the pain your feeling is not in any way similar to the pain I felt, as it was your mother and sh passed a different way then my father. But I'm sure your grieving the same way as me and many others. I wish you luck through the many hardships you may face, and hope you discover many different parts of yourself, your personality through this great leap in life. I hope you feel better!

	I have a friend who's mom also died of CF, but his dad died of cancer a year later... I wish you comfort in this time you go through and hope for the best.

	Just one of the many total strangers that would like to give you some words of support. My mother passed away from complications due to ALS back in '98. It was hard watching her suffer, but I know she's not suffering any longer. I take solace in that, and I hope you can feel the same. I wish you and your family the best during this time and in the future.

	I wish you the best <3 My 19-year-old cousin has CF and I see the struggles she has to go through...it not only affects the physical, but the social, emotional, and mental sides as well. And I know it can be tough on the family, as well. Please keep hope as you go into the Christmas season <3

	I'm very sorry to hear that. I know I don't know you too well, but I saw the link and felt for you. (Even more stranger!support.) I have been studying cystic fibrosis in detail recently, and I'm so glad to hear that your mother lived so long for a CF sufferer. She is also very lucky to have had two children such as you guys; it sounds like you loved her very much. She'll be waiting for you! My best wishes and condolensces to you and your family. x

	I'm sorry for your mom, I know how you feel. I lost my grandma 4 days before christmas... she kinda brought me up and I'll miss her so much. I know they're in a better place, but it's still hard not to have them around anymore.

	Even though I'm a complete stranger, I'm very sorry to hear that. I'm sure she'd have wanted you to not get overly sad about the situation, and I hope you can cope well. My dad died a while back, and I know how it feels to have someone so close to you die.

	I am sorry for your loss, I do not know you... but I do know how it feels to loose a loved one when they are still young. My mom was killed when I was 10, she was only 28 at the time. I also know she is with me in spirit but, it was not easy growing up... Seeing my friends with their moms there for them. I hope that you and your brother take care of yourselves. That is what your mom would have wanted. For you guys to stay close and remember her. heart I am a mom now, I have five beautiful kids... Knowing how much I love my own kids, only reinforces my knowing that she loved me the same way. I know your mom had the same kind of love for you. There is no greater love than the love you feel for your own child. hugs I wish you the best...
