The Acceptance Bin
The office this brilliant Webday morning was punctuated by a strange sort of ruffling sound.

The office Shredder looked left and right. To their left, a gnome, muttering something about skitters as they mopped up the floor. To the right, a... large blue thing draped over the desk. This large blue thing had been occupying their property for quite a while now, and the Shredder had tried all sorts of methods to pester, cajole, and otherwise harass the Blue Thing until it left, but no such luck.

However, today there would be none of this. The Shredder was out on a mission.

It was on a diet.

Hellma would wonder a few days later why the Acceptance Bin seemed extra-ordinarily overweight.

AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

User Image
Name: Moure Koure (Phonetically : More Core-ray)
Nicknames: Runner, Patchy (he takes this as a neutral greeting), whatever you want to call him really.
Gender: Male.
Age: Around 15-16 in that weird patchwork kind of way.

Faction/Race Undead -- Patchwork (Specifically, a 'Runner' type of Patchwork.)

Natural Ability: Interchangeable limbs: Patchworks can function with their limbs interchanged, heads popped off, so on so forth. Their soul is bound to their patched up body by a strong magic.

Personality:
Always On the Run: (Impatient and Built for Speed)

Moure's built for speed. No, really, he is. (See the first random fact below.) As Moure is used to being on the run all the time, always doing a job, always running a message, always having SOMETHING to do, getting stuck in a situation where all he can do is sit around and wait is torture instead of relaxation. (He'd probably think the worst detention would be being put in a blank room and told to sit in there for a few hours. He'd be pacing and pacing and pacing and pacing... Even worse might be sticking him in NAP Club. THE HORROR. ) It's not that he's has a mental condition or anything, but he really thinks that he has something more important to do than just sitting around and doing nothing. (Even sleep fits under this general catagory. He could be running more errands in the mean time, after all! And if he was doing that, he'd be more efficient!) He'd rather be running errands for someone, especially ones that need to get somewhere fast (Oh, need this package to be on the other side of the school in fifteen minutes? Moure's got this, don't worry about it. He'll get it there and time, and be back with a message from the recipient, etc, etc.). Moure isn't all too familiar with the complete definition of the word "relax". The closest anyone can get to making Moure take a break is to offer him a game of Scario Kart or something. That way, he's actually doing something while he's sitting down and taking a breather.

Efficiency is Key: (Efficient)

Moure is overly efficient. He's too efficient for his own good even. This means that once he's finished with his own work/job/etc, he's going to go help others with theirs. This comes from the fact that when he was back at his home labratory, all of the patchworks had to work together and get everything finished, or else they'd all be in trouble with their creator. So helping others is literally ingrained in his brain as the thing to do. Please note though, this is generally only physical tasks such as running a message across school or carrying something for someone. Moure's not very confident of his intelligence (he's around average), so he doesn't think his help on an school-subject would be very helpful. But if he finds out that you need someone to relay messages to people around campus, he'll be sure to tell you he can do it, and have time to spare. He would make a very good minion if you needed someone who's fast.

Somewhat Competitive: (Depends on the Task, though.)

Even as helpful as he is, Moure can become rather competitive if the task isn't important. Say, challenge him to a race around the campus? You're on, and he's going to take you down. As such, one way to surefire get him to do a task is to make it a race of some sort. Ohh, how Moure loves racing. He really does. It's like his not-so-secret passion. Track team? Sign him up man, he's gonna PWN. Invite him over for Scario Kart? You've got yourself some friendly competition. This undead was born for racing, and he loves every second of it. This tends to conflict a bit with his 'help everyone' attitude, but only in some cases. If it's something like a sporting event, he'll stay competitive, but if it's something like he and another person are both trying to pull seperate rocks up a hill, he'd pull up his, and then go help them move theirs if he could. (That make any sense?)

Get the Job Done or Die Trying sad Crash And Burn / Overworks Himself)

Moure is determined to finish whatever job he's given/accepted. Have a project that you have to finish, and there's no chance you'll be able to? Tell Moure and he'll help you, even if that means he gets no sleep at all (this only works if you don't want him to actually do any of the research/etc. He doesn't want to ruin that for you, so he'll just help pasting things onto posters and stuff). In the unlikely chance that he actually procrastinated a project until the night before it's due, he's going to do everything in his power to finish it. Oh, you need that message run to someone on the other side of the campus? In the next TWO minutes? Moure'll get it there with a second to spare. Sure, he lost an arm along the way and had to jump from one of the building roofs, but he got the job done, right? (He'll go back and pick up his arm right after he dropped off the message, really it's not a big deal, okay?) Moure can't be stopped once he's gotten a goal set firmly in his mind. The only way he could be stopped mid-important-job would be a full crash from lack of sleep and overworking himself. Even then, he'd probably try crawling/limping/flopping toward his destination. (This also applies to if he looses a foot while running somewhere.) Knocking him out would be the only other solution. He doesn't seem to understand that overworking himself until he 'crash-and-burn's is that bad of a thing, since he figures he's just being overly efficient. and efficiency is key where he comes from.

Generally Neutral:

It's never really clear the first few times Moure meets someone if he likes them or not. He's actually rather neutral towards everyone. As in, he's just as likely to help the meanest kid in school as he is to help the most loving kid in school. To him, it doesn't really matter who he helps, or who he talks too. He's not going to pick someone out and decide he doesn't like them straight away, he'll give them a few chances and then decide if he doesn't really want to interact with them much more. (Even if it's become apparent that he doesn't like a character, and a character doesn't like him, Moure'll still help them if they need help. That's just how he rolls.) If you have an interest similar with him (aka play Scario Kart or something), he'll probably be more prone to talking with you than someone else. Running partners would also get his attention. People he's 'friends' with will be higher on his helping priority list, but he'll still try to fit everyone else in there. (And thus lead to the crash and burn result in the trait one above this one.) One note is that strong, slightly to somewhat malicious women remind him of his 'mother', so he actually gets kind of wary of them and will jump to their tasks since he's associating them to be similar to his 'mother' and 'mother's' tasks come first.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Moure is actually coming to the Academy due to a 'bet' of sorts between himself and his 'mother' ( the Mad Scientist Dr. Cphira). His creator tends to pick a new patchwork from her creations to be her assistant on her newest secretive experiment. Problem is, she doesn't want the word on what she was experimenting on getting out into the rest of the Halloween world, so her solution is to 'recycle' her patchworks or keep them locked in the labratory for the rest of their lives after she's finished the experiment. At best, Moure would never get out of the labratory again and never get to see anything but the inside of that building (a horrible fate for a patchwork that often gets sent to town to pick up supplies and whatnot). At worst...he might not exist by the end of the experiment. As such, when she announced that she was thinking he'd be her next assistant, Moure managed to get her to agree to the following bet: If Moure could make it through a highly-esteemed school and graduate, she would let him leave and he would never have to be her head assistant. If Moure flunked out and got kicked out of the school, he would have to come back and most likely never see the outside of the labratory again. So, Moure is determined to make it all the way through school, even if he isn't a genius.

Classes he'd like to take would probably be:
-- Gym. (Who doesn't like running around?)
-- Minipet Training (He's got to train one to go pick up his arm if he loses it mid-errand, after all...)
-- Human Studies (It looks interesting, at least.)
-- Arts and Crafts...? (Is that even really a class? Oh well, learning how to do something besides re-sewing on his own arm might be a good idea.)

Clubs he'd like to join sometime:
-- Track Team. (Seriously, HE WANTS IN.)
-- Fitness Club. (Moure really wants to get into this club too. Running is involved, right?)
-- Dungeons and Humans? (Sounds like a fun game...?)
-- Bruteball Team? (If he doesn't mind maybe losing an arm during the game, of course...)

FEAR:
Burnout: Moure's FEAR allows him to take off running much faster than he usually can, fast enough that he generates smoke/dustwaves behind him (thus the name Burnout for his FEAR). At this speed, in theory, he should be able to get in several attacks to his opponent. Unfortunately, he's not too good at directing and controlling where he's running, so he usually just ends up doing more damage to a person than he normally could by tackling them or ramming into them at such a high speed that they go flying. That is, if he hits them at all. He's probably just as prone to miss them in his charge and hit into a wall or something... In any cause, eventually, he'll be able to control his direction and actually do what he means to do when he uses this. If he really needs to, this method could also be used as an escape, although Moure hopes he doesn't need to flee from a battle... (Future growth of this could entail to eventually running so fast he can't be seen? Maybe 'runnning on air' or water? Using the generated smoke as a smokebomb? The possibilities are endless!)

Downsides to this ability are they leave Moure much more tired than he usually would be if he was just running around and fighting. Another thing is that in his eariler years he might end up running smack into buildings at the charging speed of a racecar, and that'll probably do damage to him instead. Oh, and more humorous and unfortunate than important to the battle is that occasionally if his shoes are worn out, they might catch on fire. And as we should all know, most undeads, Moure included, REALLY DON'T LIKE FIRE. (This would result in him tearing off his shoe, and probably chucking it off into the distance. Hey, maybe he could think quick and throw it at his opponent if this happens? l'D;;; )

Random Facts and Some History Tidbits:

-- Moure was literally built for speed. His mad scientist, a, uh, 'questionable' woman named Roxanna Cphira (pronounced psy-e-fi-rah), already had made several patchworks (mostly assistants, one igor here or there for, uh, giving-away purposes) prior to Moure (and still had some on hand, too.). She's known for her very 'classified' research and experiments, to the point that Moure doesn't have a clue about half the stuff she's been working on. Apparently though, her current Patchwork creations were much too slow to fetch her what she needed in critical times during her experiments, so she decided she was going to make type of Patchwork that could actually get her what she needed in time to safely carry out her experiments; a Runner. As such, she made it her goal to make one (this explains why a bunch of famous runner's graves were suddenly pillaged over the course of a few nights a few years prior to Moure sending in his application to the school.) that could be her message runner and her ingredient fetcher. As such, Moure was created. (And just to clarify, Roxanna is not the type of woman to treat her creations like her 'Children'. Try 'Slaves/Laborers/Tools' instead and you'll get closer to how she treats her patchworks.)

-- Unlike most typical Patchworks, Moure is not all that strong compared to the normal bulky patchworks usually made to be assistants. While he is strong compared to a normal student, he's nowhere near as strong as other patchworks. This is due to the fact that he's been built for speed instead of strength and defense. If one was to look inside his arm in comparison to another patchworks', they'd see a lot less muscle and in general a lot less mass, thus allowing Moure to be as fast as he can be. (Aka, think of the really fast character in an RPG. Remember how they usually don't have very high attack or defense stats, but very high speed? Moure would be in that catagory. The 'Attack quick and hope you take them out before you get clobbered.' type.)

-- In the lab where Moure comes from, helping someone out isn't called being nice. It's called surviving. If the patchworks didn't help each other fulfill all of the jobs given to them, Dr. Cphira would punish ALL of them. And those times have been the most tramatizing events in Moure's life. As such, if he sees anyone needing help, his automatical response is to jump in and help, even if they don't want it or like him. Having to help people to survive has been imprinted on his mind, probably for the rest of his life.

-- Roxanna Cphira has this nasty habit of...'recycling' her assistant patchworks, for lack of a better term. (It's not like anyone else knows she's doing it, though. She's too secretive to let people realize how she treats her assistants anyway.) Once she's finished one of her long, oh-so-secret experiments, she doesn't want any of her rivals to get the information. Two things can happen at this point, depending on how good the patchwork was as her assistant. if they weren't too good, she usually 'deactivates' (it's a good question as to where she stick them afterward) her current head assistant (and there's rumor she removes their brain and keeps it on a shelf somewhere in one of her vaults) and picks a new one from her creations to be her next head assistant. If they were an excellent assistant, they might get off lucky. If that's the case, she wouldn't 'recycle' them, but there was no chance that they would ever get to leave her labratory and potentially tell her secret experiments to the world. So, to be called on as the head assistant is pretty much getting told that they're minds/memories of the experiment were going to be wiped and they were done for (it's also rumored amongst the patchworks in her labratory that maybe she replaces a new brain in the patchwork, and thus has recycled her creation) or they were never going to see the outside of the labratory again. Moure has luckily never been called on to be this assistant, as he's been useful enough as just the Runner. Well, until she decided he might be her new next assistant since apparently she needed her fastest patchwork to help her this time... (See his 'Reason For Enrollment' for the continuation of this bit and how it ties into his coming to the Academy.)

-- Moure loves Scario Kart. No, seriously, Moure is a hardcore Scario Kart gamer. It's one of the few things (besides class) that you can get him to sit down and do. And he LOVES playing it, both for fun and for competition. (And he also secretly has a collection of little racing Karts that sit on a shelf somewhere. Don't touch them though, those are his prize Kart models. )

-- Moure has the potential to be a track star. He's got the speed and stamina for it. He also has gotten rather good at jumping over things like benches or trashcans and probably would be good at activities like parkour if he put his mind to it. The result from these skills though, is usually him running errands for people. Especially when the people are intimidating and female in nature. (They remind him of his 'mother' and that scares him.)

--Moure has around average smarts, and he's not particularly brilliant by any standards. He has to work to get a good grade.

--Moure can sew, well at least he can sew on limbs. He's never really tried to sew fabric...Anyway, Moure had to learn due to the fact that his left arm tends to...fall off. Probably because he doesn't take the time to just sit down and carefully re-stitch it on, and it usually ends up loosening again. He actually can sew limbs back on rather well, he just doesn't take the time do to more than a quick restitching.

--Moure's not sure if this is completely true, but his creator told him that his heart is made from something similar to an 'RPM-Meter'. He's not exactly what that is either, and he's not actually sure if that's accurate, but...

--Moure's not really sure how to act in a social enviroment, expectally one where people aren't doing anything. (Relaxing, what's that?) As such, he's prone to being more of a "speak when spoken to" type. (This is also due to the fact that, unless he were chatting with other patchworks to make sure the work was getting done or listing off materials he needed from shops and what not, there wasn't very much idle talking happening around Cphira's labratory and estate. If she caught you talking instead of working, you were in some serious trouble.)

His Room:

Moure's room was relatively vacant, the few objects he had actually brought to the school consisting his Scario Kart collections (figurines, models, the whole shabang) and his skelevision and console for said game, until a certain fire demoness named Danny found out how empty his room was. She then dumped who knows how much stuff in there, ranging from pillows to chairs to old records. Thus, Moure's room looks about as slapdash as possible due to the fact that most of the stuff wasn't really his in the first place.

Also, beware of the guard boogeymon that may attempt to bite off your leg if you enter uninvited.

Moure's Pets:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Gibralter -- Boogeymon -- Gib came with Moure when he moved to the school, and tries to be at his side as much as possible. The boogeymon is a very overly protective little creature, and often attacks anything that enters Moure's room when the patchwork attacks. He also does not appreciate getting kicked.

Straye -- Stray Foxfire -- Apparently Danny found this little puffball and thought that he would be a perfect gift for Moure. The firefox is actually quite like his previous owner in several ways and likes to either sleep or play. He can usually be found running around in circles in Moure's room and trying to play with the ever so serious Gibralter.
