She approached the weeping forest with some hesitation. The summons had been... frightening, almost, and impossible to ignore. She arrived and climbed into her robe hesitantly. Anonymity? Why? She affixed Red's pin and stood, the lumps in her cloak indicating she was hugging herself.
This was intense. This seemed... appropriate. A hero deserved an amazing memorial.

The burn marks were slowly healing, but the pain still remained as the school tried its very best to retain its pristine, porcelain identity with putting the blame on their esteemed gym instructor.
It's own type of healing.
He couldn't believe the lies that were emblazoned in text, not even dumping his copy into the recycling bin did much to quell the anger, and the boogeymen that refused to admit that something happened. That official ceremony for Red's retirement was a total farce and he was glad to be on bedrest than go and see that nonsense.
It was difficult to understand why they would go to such lengths to mask the truth, and go through a proper mourning for Red. What the boogeymen's true agenda was left him feeling wary of their presence.
But the sudden summon that rang out in his mind felt proper, secretive but proper. And he didn't waste no time in following the directions through the commonly traveled forest toward the figures that shimmered crimson in the dark sky's dim light. Not a word was uttered when he arrived and he decided to hold true to the silence, it was for Red afterall. The material was sleek and comfortable, as he picked it up from the box and donned it and smoothed it out on his form and flicked the hood up and let the front hang low over his face. It was clear that labor went into this, and quite a bit from the amount that was there.
Why did the student body have to do the memorial correctly and in secret? It just didn't seem fair to the dearly departed.

Her hands were sore, there were bags under her hidden eyes, and she was very tired..but she felt this was worth it. Her hair was trying to free herself from inside the hood but the ghoul kept just pushing it back into the cloak. She occasionally muttered a soft 'stop that' to which a second voice from the same cloak whined about being uncomfortable. Deal with it. A promise of food after the event seemed to do the trick. She was nervous. Would anyone come? No, that was silly. The more important question would any...undesirables come? Everyone deserved a chance to mourn and pay their respects, sure..but the boogeymen wanted to cover up Red's death. That was wrong.
The first student arrived and she swallowed hard, looking to her fellow council members before taking a deep breath. This was all about anonymity but..she couldn't help but look at each student who approached the boxes. Some of them had her worrying maybe they should have done something other than cloaks, a glance to a particular member she'd had to adjust out of pure OCD-like urges.
This'd be fine. Everything would go well. This was something the students needed: Closure. She sighed quietly to herself and actually smiled, her fingers clenching tightly around an urn she was holding underneath the cover of her cloak. Glowing green eyes scanned over the students who were arriving still, their glow visible even with the shadows of the cloak hiding her face. Was it almost time to lead them into the clearing? A glance was given to a particular member of the council, one of the other ghouls.

She wasn't sure when the cloaks would come in handy, but it seemed like today was the day - she heard the voice, and it was so obvious what Riley meant, what she wanted to do... So she just followed, heeding the instructions given and walking over to the weeping forest.
The boxes earned a quick look from her before she was given an item from each; they had made sure to make different sizes of cloaks, but she somehow managed to get one that fit her right. Slipping into it, she put on the pin, her fingers trailing along the circumference, before pulling the hood up, making sure that her hair was tucked away from view.
She then left to join the others, glancing around, curious as to who might be who - they were not supposed to speak, but she was sure that there must be a way to identify her friends...

Pulling the cloak over his head and down around his body, the boil made his way into the gathering with the rest of his peers, glowing eyes barely visible within the shadowed recesses of the hood. The anonymity was interesting, and he could see the point behind the cloaks, both practically and for the sake of Red's memory, but some how he figured many of them were still somewhat recognizable. He at least felt as though he stood out like a sore thumb. Regardless, he was there.
In his pocket he'd brought along the piece of horn he'd delicately chipped off their teacher's skull, and he brought it out from the cover of the cloak to look down at it resting in his palm as he moved towards the box and it's offerings. He play the piece in beside the others, having nothing else of value to offer in her memory. He wished he had, but the fragment would do.
He could see he Ghoul among the rest of the student council, but for once he didn't move towards her or make any motion to gain her attention. He let her be, and instead melted into the crowd with the others.

When the voice had beckoned him to the forest for something involving the late teacher, he had not hesitated to follow it. He'd been there when the faculty member fell, been part of those she died to protect. Even though he hadn't known her, she had still protected him and those around him.
There was no way he would miss her true funeral.
He was glad he had not seen the failure of a cover-up that the boogeymen were trying to pull over on them. It would have only shamed their poor teacher more.
He found himself arriving after several others had appeared, noting the red cloaks and quietly moving to pick one up himself. He slipped it on, pulling the hood up over his head and removing himself from in front of the boxes so others could claim one. He noted the chest that was apparently a mourning chest for those who wished to give something to their gym teacher, but he realized he had nothing to give her now. He'd already given her all he had at his disposal previously at her actual skeleton.
He moved off to the side, out of the way so others could mourn, and stood near the edges of the gathering to watch.

It was sometimes obnoxious being one of the few students without a head-- and without a substitute for one. However, for occassions like this she brought her pumpkin minipet and put it on her neck. She hated having a weight on her neck, but this was for a Professor. A professor that she never really got a chance to meet, and, to be honest, a woman that terrified her.
That's probably why this memorial was even more jarring. Terror was supposed to be immortal.
She lifted the red hood over her temporary pumpkin head and moved in along the line of other mourners. She didn't want to stand out. She felt like she didn't have the right to stand out-- she had never gotten the chance to impress Professor Red. Hell, she never really had any one-on-one time with her. She just cowered behind other students, like she was doing now. In that sense, their relationship was still the same. Perhaps terror was immortal.
FEAR cannot die.

Typically he didn't like certain voices in his head, but he had been resting and taking it easy as well. They were all still healing, but for those who had witnessed Red's passing, there was a calling in just having her face brought up. He had not attended her official funeral. It seemed strange to when there was no body and after the twisting words that were going around. He was far too exhausted to get angry and there had already been a funeral at the time when she left them - his pin somewhere in her ashes.
So why would he head the call now?
There was something strange about it, and ever curious, he felt a sense that he had to attend. There had to be a reason for the secretly, the unofficial notice, or the fact that the other funeral had already passed. Was this news about Red's passing? Did they find out something?
He wanted to know.
When he arrived, he slipped on the red garments and followed, looking out for any sign that his friends were near and hiffing the air for their scent.

She never was one to ignore a call from that familiar voice in her head, but that was probably because it was the only voice in her head that wasn't hers. What sold her on the idea was the flashing image of their professor; she had been there when she went down, and like every other student that had been there, she resented the way it was being publically handled. It wasn't right, it wasn't fair, and so she went to the meeting place and took up a cloak of her own, securing it with the clasp she was given.
The Red Box was given a look, and after a while she gathered up the courage to walk towards it - careful to not step or trip on the ends of the cloak - and set a piece of the claimed back plate inside. The piece had been broken earlier, but she couldn't help but want to keep the smaller portion; the larger was given to the box.
Now all she could do was wait; a single person in the sea of red.

When a familiar voice trickled into his mind, his first instinct (at the sudden voice invasion) was fear, but one he realized who it was... it was fine. While they had not exactly gotten off to a great start, he did trust the student council president.
Moving towards the forest, alone as demanded, he soon noticed that he was not the only one here... and probably not the only one yet to come. The subject of such a meeting was one he had a hunch that many of them still felt. Mentally the blow was devastating, the loss of a beloved teacher. Physically he knew he was still recovering. Some of the bruises were almost gone, but a few of the nastier ones still plagued him as he walked stiffly towards the boxes.
Reaching within he grabbed a red cloak and quickly pulled it on. Pulling it around him and finally lifting the hood over his head, the boil heaved a heavy sigh. He looked like the rest of them now. Sure some were tall and others short, and some signs of who they were underneath would be apparently no matter how hard they tried, they were all here for the same reason. United under a single color, a color that will forever remind them of someone whom had once made a impact on each of their lives.
Moving closer to those standing, the boil pulled out a piece of the grey skull he had brought back with him. While it was just a part of what he had... he couldn't bring himself to give up all of it. It was a memory he would always have with him, to remember and to haunt. He gave up a larger chunk of the object, only keeping a smaller fragment which he will probably add to his kitsune mask when he decided how he wanted it added. Biting his lip, he set the large piece down next to the others, mentally adding a 'welcome home' as he stepped out of the way.

A part of her wanted to keep it. The rest of her was repulsed, and regretted desecrating the original relic. From her pocket beneath her robe, she produced a shard of skull and places it with the others. It belonged here. Thank you, Red.

She was obvious.
There was a solidarity to the cloaks. A common thread uniting them. And that was why she wore it - not for any hope of anonymity, herself. It was her voice that spoke into the students minds. Her voice that would speak now - and her tentacles that slid out from underneath the cloak of red. She was here to protect the student body - not herself.
Everyone into the clearing, once your cloaks are on. Riley's voice managed to speak without penetrating the silence, which was a surprising feature of the event. None of the Student Council expected a silent vigil, but there was something remarkably respectful about it. If Red had been here, she would have preferred they 'shut up and get on with it', after all.
The question she received was met with a shrug and a private response. I have no idea. Ask Junko. She patted the stumpy red cloaked figure, and proceeded to herd the student body that had not yet entered, into the field. Once inside, she laid hands gently on shoulders, beckoning them forward to circle around the box and form a tight group.
Without words, it was clear this would be where the service would occur.

She got the message in silence. She walked down to the weeping forest in silence. She took her cloak and put in on in silence. She approached the red box in silence. And in silence she laid her bouquet of weeping roses in it.
Silence is what they'd been demanded to keep, by friend and by foe, and it was all she had to give.
In silence she took her place at the edge of the clearing.
Having only mental words spoken to them seemed... appropriate.
She sighed.

He approached, limping precariously towards the huddle of fellow students after he'd retrieved his cloak. With it wrapped around him his figure was hardly distinguishable as spikes and spines lifted the fabric here and there spontaneously. It was as if a hedgehog had crawled its way under a red sheet.
This boil had nothing to give Red that he hadn't already and had taken the only thing he could never be able to repay her with and that was her protection. Now, he had nothing. Perhaps the other cloaked figures would provide the 'anonymous' comfort he so desperately needed.
Without a word he approached the circle that leaded to the field outside the gym. Sniffing the cool air he was able to hold aside his shivers from the cold as this ceremony numbed him over itself. How would it all turn out? What were they going to do? There weren't any staff members here right? Surely not. If anything the boil had his eye out for any boogeyfeet. This would be a challenge to say the least.

It was easy to conceal herself with the red cloak they had given her, although some may have been able to guess who was under it. Considering she was one of the shortest there. At least it covered her wings.
So this was what the student council had been planning...a secret funeral service for Red. It was quite fitting, and she thought the red cloaks and pins were a great touch. She felt better now, knowing that she could pay a proper tribute to her fallen professor with the others. She just hoped the booygmen wouldn't find out.
She stayed silent, waiting for the ceremony to begin.
