It was entertaining, actually, a nice little show to watch as Roch sat beneath his favorite tree, trying to study up for the classes and mainly goofing off with his guitar. But what was entertaining was the patchwork kid that kept running back and forth. Roch swore he'd never seen the kid walk, or even pause for a breath.

It gave him ideas. "Hey! Hey ah... Speedy! Come over here!" he called as he saw the patchwork boil heading his way again.

Moure'd been running down the a few of the same paths for a while now, trying to engrain their surface, friction, all that jazz into his brain so that if he ever needed to use this path at his higher speeds, he could. (He was, after all, only jogging right now. No matter that his jogging was faster than most people's running...)

Out of the corner of his eye, he'd noticed someone starting to watch him. Another reaper boil, it seemed. Was there a surplus of them at this school, or had he just have the luck to run into them the most? In any case, the punk-like reaper had been playing a guitar under a tree for a while now.

Then, all of a sudden, the boil was calling out to the Runner, with a fitting title of 'Speedy'. And his voice sounded like he had an Errand in mind. Moure quickly turned and slid to a stop in front of the guitar player. He raised an eyebrow and looked at the boil. "Yes? You need something?" That was fine with Moure. If someone needed help, he'd be happy to oblige.

"Need? Ah..." He grinned. It was a wicked grin. "I just thought you were pretty fast. Y'know, really fast, actually, I'm betting. What do you do with all that speed? Do you run errands and stuff, or are you just used to running from the boogeymen?"

Oh, he could see this kid as being VERY useful. In fact, he'd always wanted a patchwork--no, not really. Hell, the neighborhood he came from was too poor to afford a mad scientist. They lived in the rich, high class horror places.

The Reaper was grinning at him. Hmm, he probably had some ridiculous Errand in mind...oh well. When he mentioned Moure was fast, the patchwork looked back at the pathway again and remembered he'd only been jogging. He waved back at the path dismissively. "That? Oh, that wasn't fast compared to what I usually run at. I was only jogging there." If there was a chart of Moure's speeds, it would probably go something like this: Walking speed a bit less than a normal person's jogging (HAH YEAH RIGHT (It's rare for Moure to WALK anywhere, after all)), Jogging a bit more or less than a normal person's running, Casual running faster than that, High Speed, and then Top Speed. Aka, Moure still had three speed levels WAY faster than what the reaper had seen. (Think of on a car, how they have different Gear Shifts and whatnot? Moure just has five different Speeds to fluxuate between instead of four.) Anyway, the boil had asked another question.

"Errand Runs and Orders." Moure automatically stated, nodding to the first part of the Reaper's second question. He would have offered out his hand and shook the reaper's, but the boil was sitting down, so Moure just gave him a nod. "Name's Moure. I'm a Runner." It was always good to clarify when your species was made up of different types, right? And at least he actually remembered to introduce himself eariler into the conversation this time.

"So you're really fast and you run errands?" Roch summed up, feeling as if he'd just found the quick route to the holy land. "So if I asked you to go buy me a pizza from that little place in the maul, Papa Blood's, you could get it back here in say, five minutes or less?"

He leaned back against the tree. "Nah, I don't believe it," he said. "I mean, that'd take me twenty minutes just to get there. I should probably make it ten minutes..."
PostPosted: Tue Jun 14, 2011 11:19 am

Moure gave a nod, watching the gears in the reaper's head whirl. At his 'hypothetical' question, Moure answered with, "If you actually told me what kind of Pizza, and pointed in the direction of the Maul, along with what you said before, I probably could."

And then the reaper was baiting him. Moure knew it, but that didn't mean he didn't want to run the Errand. "TWENTY? How could it ever take me that long?" He shook his head, then gave the boil a completitive grin. "Tell me what kind of pizza you wanted and I'll have it back here before the timer even reachs ten minutes." This might (very slight might) be a bit of a stretch, but that was only because Moure actually didn't know where the Maul was, but he could figure it out with directions. Moure prided himself on fast service, after all. "Just remember you're paying for it when I get back."

"Ten minutes there and back? Really? You're willing to put your rep on the line for that, huh? Okay, get me two meat lover pizzas and get back here in ten minutes and I'll give you a tip," Roch said, pulling out a handful of silver seeds from his pocket. "The maul is that way," he added, pointing as he handed over the seeds.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 14, 2011 3:15 pm

"You bet I am." Moure said when the reaper asked if he's actually put his reputation as a runner on the line. After all, what kind of Runner was he if couldn't even complete a simple Food Run?

As the reaper handed over some silver seeds, Moure put them in his pocket. Then he nodded at the other student and said, "I hope you have timer on you." He looked in the direction of the Maul, and gave a slight grin. This was like a race. And Moure was definitely a racer. "Two Meat Lover's pizzas from Papa Blood's in the Maul." Order confirmed. The patchwork's face was serious as he then counted down, slipping into his running posture. "Three, two, one, GO!"

As soon as the 'go' sounded, Moure was off. The patchwork slipped into High Speed, and was out of few in a matter of miliseconds. After all, he didn't NEED to go his Top Speed. Top Speed was for things that were REALLY important. Like, "Get this to my assistant within a minute when he's on the other side of the estate or I'll skin you alive"-Important.

Following the pathways, Moure soon found himself booking it toward a large building that seemed to be full of stores. 'Must be the Maul...' He slowed slightly, to his more 'casual' speed, aka still really fast but whatever, and zoomed inside. The patchwork glimsped a map on one side, and managed to see where the food court-ish area was. Good good.

The patchwork found the food shop in question, and luckily there was no one in line. He slid to a stop right at the cashier and ordered two Meat Lover's Pizzas to go RIGHT NOW. Handing over the silver seed amount necessary, Moure was handed the pizzas and recipt. And then he was gone again, running back toward the school, shifting back to High Speed.

Only a few minutes after he'd left the area the Reaper had been in, Moure was racing down the now familiar pathways (see, running them constantly to get their feel DID come in handy!), two pizza boxes in hand. He slowed enough to slide several feet on the grass, closing the distance between the pathway and the tree with the Guitar playing boil. Automatically offering out the boxes to the reaper, Moure said, "Time." Order Completely.

Moure knew he hadn't taken ten minutes, although he didn't know the exact time he'd taken. After all, HE didn't have a stop watch on hand. Still standing, he gave the boil a bit of a competitive grin and said lightly, if not slightly baitingly, "Will that be all, Sir?"

Roch was watching the watch hidden amongst his bracelets with something close to awe. "Daaaaaamn," he said. "I don't believe it. How'd you get them to cook it that fast?" he asked, only to shake his head and dig through his pocket for some more seeds. He tossed five of them to the other boil, knowing he was going to haveta work to pay for his dinner, but not caring.

"You in any clubs?" he asked the patchwork as he opened the first box and started eating almost as fast as Moure ran.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:13 pm

Well, the reaper seemed impressed. Good good. Order completed. Moure gave a shrug about the pizza's cooking speed. "Perhaps they just keep some cooking on hand? They were ready when I got there." Then the boil tossed a few more seeds at Moure. The patchwork caught them, and looked at them for a moment, then back at the reaper. Moure was not used to being paid for completely an Order well, so the other teenager offering him more seeds was kind of...strange. "You sure?" He asked, looking at the seeds a tad skeptically.

"Clubs?" Moure watched as the reaper seemed to inhale the pizza. The patchwork would've been impressed if he hadn't been in a certain Gluttony Demon's company earlier. (Well, maybe he was related to the demoness he'd met in the Cafeteria?) He continued with his answer, in any case. "Not yet, no. I'm planning on signing up for Scario Kart Club soon, I just haven't found their room yet. Fitness looked interesting, but I didn't get a chance to look in there during the Open House." Moure paused, looking at the feasting reaper, before responding with his own question. "Why do you ask?"

"You gotta have three. I'm tryin' to start one, y'know?" Roch said, finishing off his pizza and leaning back. "I'd be willing to let you claim my club as your third if you'd be willing to do food runs for me and the club once in a while. No need to play an instrument unless you wanna, no need to come to the parties unless you wanna."

He didn't see why people wouldn't wanna play instruments, but hell, this guy would probably rush the beat anyway. Nothing worse than a rushed beat. "And I tip good," he added, nodding at the seeds. Which he really was going to have to start up the club for. Maybe he could split the guys up over the town, (or the campus if Lizzy was right) and have them all put in for snack money.

Or maybe they should be charged at the door. Like, you can only come in if you bring a snack? Now that was an interesting idea. He'd have to groanspring Danny about it...
PostPosted: Fri Jun 17, 2011 3:43 pm

Moure listened carefully as the reaper made his proposal. The idea sounded interesting, true, but there was a slight hitch on Moure's end. "True, true, I do need a third club...although I was debating the Arts and Crafts Club, too..." He paused for a moment, trying to remember if you could be in more than three clubs or not. "Well, and there's also the fact that I...can't really play any instruments." Talking to the guitar-wielding reaper, Moure was almost embarassed by his lack of musical talent. He'd never had any to begin with, and it's not like he'd had much spare time back home to practice even if he'd owned an instrument (which he didn't.)

"But...if you needed someone to do Food Runs while the club was in session, or before, or even after really...and you do tip..." This aspect (the Errands, not the Tips, mind you ) did catch Moure's attention. A club was an entire group of people. So, performing Errands for a Club would be pleasing many people instead of just individuals. Logically, helping out at a club would be more...efficient.

And Moure was a VERY efficient person, after all.

"Well, if you need someone to run Errands for your Club, you can count me in." The Reaper had esscentially just said that they would need help running Errands and what not, so to Moure, offering to be the Errand Boy was a very efficient choice. Plus, he might get tips even. And who knows the last time Moure actually got tipped for an Errand before meeting this reaper.

Wait, had the reaper introduced himself yet? Moure couldn't remember if the boil had said his name or not...

"Man, even if you could play an instrument I probably wouldn't want you in a band," Roch said, shaking his head. "You seem like you'd rush even the fastest of songs. Oh, right," he said as he stood, wiping his hands off on his pants and holding one out. "The name's Roch. I'm new," he added, looking just a little bit sheepish. "But everybody on groanspring said I could start a club, so I figure hey, why not?"
PostPosted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 3:32 pm

Moure gave a slight nod, although he didn't know if that assumption was completely true. Yeahhhh, it probably was. It sounded reasonable, anyway. "Well, I can't play an instrument in any case, so I guess you won't have to worry about that." The reaper finally introduced himself, and had offered out a hand to the Patchwork. Moure took Roch's hand and gave it a firm shake. At the comment about how Roch was a new student, Moure gave a shrug and a nod. "In case the lack of clubs didn't give it away, I might as well mention that so am I."

After a moment, Moure looked at the reaper again. "Do you know where your club is going to be meeting? Or have any particular dates for meetings in mind?" It was always a good idea to have details. Moure never knew when he was going to need them, after all.

"I... have no idea," Roch said. "We haven't even been approved yet. I figure we'll find some abandoned classroom and set up there, but as far as hours go... I guess give me your skellyphone number and I'll call you when we've got something more solid?" he offered, unzipping his vest and pulling out his eyephone so he could take the number.

"Or when I want a pizza," he added thoughtfully. "Or maybe even that sussi place in the maul--no, that was a buffet thing. I should probably go there for that one. Hey, do you eat?" he asked curiously.
