This is what you would call the calm before the storm! Too many emotions at once just now.
We are certain there will be a lot of pissed of players heading this way once the shock passes.
I know deep down this is the end of zomg, all the hope inside me died when I read the meat transcripts. :c
I have to agree.
Even though [JK] tried to put a brave face on the whole proceeding, his resignation seemed obvious to me.
I know I could be reading things into his posts that aren't there, but I really think zOMG! is done, and that [JK] knows it and is as hurt, and disappointed as many of us are.
The funny thing is, in hindsight, zOMG!'s current situation is painfully obvious.
zOMG! has been getting smaller and smaller since I joined a little over two years ago.
I joined at the tail end of 09, just as the zOMG! Christmas Event was drawing to an end.
Then in February, we got the Sweetheart Ring for Valentine's Day, and later, Easter in zOMG! saw not only an egg hunt, but had all of VG painted in soft pastel!

Then when Halloween rolled around, we had a fully haunted Barton Town
on top of the Fluff Hunt, and Jack spawns.
Little did I know as I was having the most amazing times in zOMG! ever, that these were it's halcyon days, and never to be repeated.
Christmas never came to zOMG! in 2010, and Easter 2011 was weeks late, and arrived without the re-colour of VG.
Halloween too was scaled back, and Christmas failed to materialize once more.
The writing on the wall should have been obvious, but the arrival of DMS seemed to provide a reasonable excuse for the other Events failing to reach previous levels, or even arrive, and with the doubtless increased revenues it had to be generating, it was easy to delude one's self that zOMG!'s future was secure.
That's what makes this sudden blast of reality so painful.
Up until reading Unity's Topic, I had believed that zOMG! had gotten over the hump, and that it would be vibrant and growing for years to come.
