She portrays herself as a bubbly, ditsy socialite, using her short stature and doll-like looks to disarm people. Underneath her veneer she is careful, calculated, and intelligent. Very few people get to see the person who hides beneath all the glitter and glamour.

Strengths
➤Seduction: For over a century and a half, Veronica has honed the craft of seduction, romantic and otherwise. People are caught in by her charm, and are friendly towards her.
➤Acting: Veronica has pretended to be something she's not for the majority of her life. She is able to carefully construct a personality according to the social situation and person. She uses this to her advantage to get people to underestimate her, so they'll have no indication of when she's going to strike.
➤Night Vision: Veronica can see incredibly well in the dark, pitch black is like a dimly lit room. As a consequence, however, bright light can blind her.

Weaknesses
➤Sunlight: Sunlight is deadly for Veronica. Should it touch her skin, she will burst into flames, no matter her form.
➤Blood Drinking: Blood drinking replaces Veronica's need to eat. After three days of not ingesting blood, she will start to get sickly. The longer she goes without drinking blood, the more she'll age, and the more sickly she would get. Process is reversed gradually when she drinks blood.
➤A cute face: A hopeless romantic, if Veronica sees a person she finds attractive, she can't help but try and flirt with them, even if it's a bad idea.

Biography
➤ Veronica was born in Mud Bay, to two hardworking but ultimately penniless parents. As a child she took to wandering the streets of Mirim, especially the wealthier neighborhoods, and gaining a taste for the finer things in life her parents couldn't afford to give her. As she got older, she got even more adventurous--trying to befriend other children in the hopes that they would let her inside their glamorous houses. She would work hard and toil during the day, and at night put on her best clothes and make believe at being one of the upper crust.

As she got older, and became a young adult, she switched her directive from friend to lover. There was more fun to be involved in it, and it increased the likelihood of her getting expensive gifts. She could also spend the night in the glamorous houses, instead of just seeing the drawing room. Veronica spent several years doing this, much to her parent's confusion and consternation. It was when she was twenty that she met the man that would change her life forever. In leaving her house one night, she found a glamorous man standing in an alleyway, and was instantly smitten. She seduced him, and the two struck up a courtship where they fell deeply in love.

After a few months of their affair, the man revealed his secret to Veronica: he was a vampire. After laughing at the irony of her seducing a vampire and not the other way around, Veronica begged him to turn her. He complied immediately, bringing Veronica to the darkness alongside him. The two lived together for decades, not necessarily monogamous but always devoted to each other. Everything changed, however, when King Jero decided to push all the "otherfolk" out of the country. She and her love were separated, and his property was seized after he was forced out beyond the divide.

Unsure of what to do, Veronica went back to her old childhood habits: seducing the rich to find a place to spend the day in safety. She eventually found an older man who was willing to house her permanently, Grover Langhorne. Wife dead and children grown, he wanted someone to keep him company during the day, and Veronica was perfectly suited for the task. She became his mistress, and played off her inability to go into the sunlight as a rare allergy. She gave him the attention he craved, and in return he gave her gifts and didn't question where she went late at night, after he had gone to bed.

Blurb ▸ Mamoru was discovered as a small fox kit by Kamiko Fujimori. A spiritual girl, she recognized a power in him and took him in. Her hunch proved to be correct as the years passed, and the fox showed no signs of growing old. She designated him the protector of their family, and gave him the name Mamoru Ito- Protector of the Wistera. He only truly became "conscious" about 18 year ago, after he passed his hundredth birthday and gained his second tail.
The Fujimoris raised him as a son, but with the expectation that he would protect their family for generations to come. When his powers proved to be more than they could handle, they sent him to Edgewater to gain control over his powers and learn how to socialize. He is still coming to terms as to who he is, exactly, without his "family" around. His whole life revolved around becoming their protector, but now he is wondering if that's all he wants to do with his life.

He tries to be as friendly as possible, but sometimes things just come out wrong and possibly even offensive. He essentially has two modes he switches between at a whim: serious star student and mischievous troublemaker. When he's the former, he's very serious about work, and strives for nothing short of excellence. When he's the later, he comes up with any way to subtly break the rules.

tab ⊱ Mamoru was found as a young fox kit by Kamiko Fujimori, a spiritually inclined girl and powerful psychic. She could sense the power in Mamoru, and brought him home with the hope that he would bring their family luck, fortune, and protection. She raised the fox as a pet, keeping him in an inner courtyard of their home. The young fox had practically anything a fox could want, besides the openness of the forest. She named him Mamoru Ito, meaning protector of the wisteria, in reference to their family name meaning "wisteria forest."

As time passed, and the fox Mamoru showed no apparent signs of aging, Kamiko realized that she had been right in her assessment of the fox. He was special. A kitsune. She raised her son, and later her granddaughter, with the importance of treating him well. If he loved them, he could provide the family with fortune. If he hated them, he would bring their downfall. The night Kamiko died was the first time the fox displayed the talent of illusions, creating an illusion of Kamiko comforting him. Daichi, her son, did his best to take over her care of the fox. His daughter, Amaya, however, seemed to be somewhat terrified of him and his illusions.

At what would be his 100th birthday, his second tail grew in overnight. Shortly after, he began his first human phasing. Only, instead of an adult, he took the form of an infant. Daichi tasked Amaya with taking care of the infant, no doubt because of the idea that childcare was a woman's job. Tentative, but not willing to displease her father, the young Amaya did as requested. She began to raise the young fox child, trying to curb his tempers and instill in him the importance of their family. She eventually had a daughter of her own, Hana. She raised the two as siblings, keeping a stern and steady hand on both.

While Amaya had learned to see through Mamoru's illusions, they were still too much for her, and would often shock her. The seclusion and homeschooling also had created a boy that wasn't entirely sure about what was acceptable social behavior and what wasn't. She heard of Edgewater High, a highschool for the supernatural, located in Japan even. It seemed like a perfect fit for the strange fox child she had been made to raise. Mamoru was accepted, and has lived at the school since, learning how to manage his powers and socialize with people outside his family.
