Kyoko had to snicker a bit as Jira decided to take a jab at Shin, as it was actually pretty funny considering the circumstances. They both agreed that he was a gorilla, but also that she thought they were a thing. Laughable. He was pretty hot, sure, but she couldn't see herself ending up with him even if he was the sort of guy she'd like to get with. Kyo too, but he was too nice for her liking, whereas Shin was crude and abrupt, much like herself.
"Cute."
At the one-eyed girl's acceptance of putting weapons aside and duking this out the proper way, Kyoko lightly tossed both of the tomahawks behind her so they weren't in the way or within tempting reach, though kept the shotgun tightly slung to her back as a last resort. She really wanted to bash this girl around on even ground for a bit before she put a blade to the top of her skull or a gun barrel in her mouth. With her weapons out of the way, the redhead opened her hands to show they were empty then retook her stance like before, though Jira was quick to make the first move this time and took a swing at her face. Getting an arm up in time was out of the question, so Kyoko bent into it so the hand would connect with her forehead rather than her cheek or jaw, though was able to bring her knee up in time to mostly stop the incoming second punch towards her stomach. From here, "Red" grabbed hold of the hand that had just connected with her knee and pulled, using the momentum to drive a knee up towards her gut. With them pretty much locked as they were, the chances of avoiding one another's fists was drastically low until one of them was backed off enough to grant some space. Kyoko had every intention of keeping her opponent close so she could deal damage and do so quickly, but wouldn't be too saddened if she was shoved back. It would allow for her to use her feet, instead of just her hands and knees... or head.

Miki was almost so intent of banishing the thoughts of tripping over the garbage can that she nearly missed what it was that Midori was saying, but when she looked over to the horn-haired girl, the blonde tilted her head as if trying to figure something out. Of course, she was quick to pick up on what she meant and gave a playfully sour face in return, mocking ignorance at the same time.
"I haven't a clue what you're talking about, Midori~"
Looking away a moment to turn her nose up at things, Miki was soon looking back at her friend when she felt someone touching her head. Oh god, did she actually have garbage in her hair? Midori was already "picking it out" for her, but she couldn't help but try and slap anything that wasn't in her hair, out. As soon as the doors opened though, the sound of gunshots filled her, as well as the others' ears, turning Miki's brief moment of silliness to instant seriousness again. Too many things made that sound horrifying, as the shooter could be shooting at just about anything. "Them", Ren and his group, Kyoko or Shin... who was doing the shooting, who or what was the target(s).
"Those gunshots are coming from the direction of the food court. Keep low and behind things if you can, we don't know who's doing the shooting."
Miki was soon off of the elevator along with the others, though it was Maiyumi that brought her to a brief stop. So Kyoko and Shin had gone ahead to meet them, had they? Okay, so it wasn't them causing the trouble, obviously, as Ren was still sending messages. If he was shooting or being shot at, texting would be the last thing to be concerned about. Even still, they had to move ahead so they could help treat the two wounded people that were awaiting assistance in the food court.

With Midori taking the lead without going ahead too far, Miki was a few paces behind her though more to her side so she wasn't at risk of running into her if she suddenly stopped. Up ahead she could make out a couple of people, the red hair being an instant give away as to who it was. What the hell was she doing!? Punching a zombie?! She had weapons, why was she having a fist fight with a damn zombie!? ...It soon clued in that it was no zombie that Kyoko was dealing with, but one of the four that were waiting for them in the food court. Unfortunately she wasn't too well acquainted with Jira so didn't know her to see her, especially since she couldn't see the girl's face and the eye patch she wore. As soon as she saw that she would know, as she was the only female at the school that wore an eye patch on a daily or regular basis.

Hey did you know you're makin' nice with a murderer?
Hey did you know you're swappin' lies with a dirty girl?
In order for me to play a nurse,
You're gonna have to tell me where it hurts.

Jira's first punch connected with Kyoko's forehead, and her second punch as mostly stopped by her knee. She was good, Jira would give her that. She felt her hand grabbed, and tensed before the knee connected, which curbed a bit of the impact. She shifted a bit, but didn't let up. Instead, with them this close, she threw an uppercut, using the motion to twist her other hand free from her grip, only to grab on to Kyoko. Stepping in closer, her leg swung behind, as the girl went for a way to get her off of her feet and on to the ground.

User ImageAs Maiyumi read off her text that Ren sent her, it made Midori raise a brow after she had her fun with Miki. It felt good to have a little tease with her friend among all of this drama, helping her relieve stress. But when Maiyumi told them that, and the elevator got to the upper floor, followed with the sound of gunshots, it sent a chill down her spine. The gunfire was coming in the direction of the food court, Ren and Shin were there, and people were injured there; none of this spelled out anything positive.

The SMG still in hand, keeping a lead, she agreed silently with Miki and would keep low, the skirt clad, long sleeved coat wearing girl would be cautious, jogging ahead but keeping close to the store outlets in case she needed to take cover, not leaving Kyo, Maiyumi, Miki, or Kasumi behind. The girl was right, they needed to keep low and in cover whenever possible, as they had no idea who was shooting.

That is, until they finally got to the food court that was just off in the distance, and she quickly recognized Shin and Kyoko They were shooting at... wait, were those other survivors? Was that... Ren? she couldn't tell from the distance, but she tried to close in more to get a better view. Now, in the case of Ren, Midori may not have really tried making any friends in school, Miki and Kyoko being the closest thing to a friend in her school -aside from her bandmates who none were in her classes anyway- but Ren she had a few encounters with. None bad, per say, in fact he was a fan of her music! But she more or less ignored him like she did anyone else. Still, that was before she actually cared about other people like she was learning to now, and she had no clue why he would be involved with this all. Was he one of Maiyumi's friends? All she knew was that the whole scene looked bad. Very Bad.

That was when she heard some of them shouting, another gunshot going off, and Kyoko having a brawl with the purple haired girl. She didn't want to believe it, that Kyoko would end up fighting other survivors, nor did she want to get involved with Shin, already believing that he was the cause of this all. But as she got closer, the scene became clear, especially when she saw in the distance further in the food court what looked like a dead, black haired girl.

No.
Hell no.
Hell. ********. No.

She wasn't having this. She wouldn't allow it! Damnit why would they be fighting?? They weren't enemies! The undead were the enemy here! "...Damnit, damnit, damnit. ...Guys, I'm about to do something really ******** stupid to try and stop this." She would say with a narrow gaze in her pink eyes, hair shadowing her eyes a bit as she grit her teeth in frustration. She didn't want anyone to be getting killed, but she still had to stop this somehow.

So, moving behind a support pillar by the clothing store beside the food court, she would keep only a small distance from herself and the three she was with, before stepping out, still close to the pillar, and aiming her SMG upwards. She never used it, got ready for the recoil, and for firing the weapon her first time, she ended up keeping herself serious and focused, not dropping it, not screaming from the loud noise, giving little more than a cringe, before Midori ended up letting out a burst of gunfire from the MP7, aimed up at the ceiling, hoping that the brief staccato of bullets would grasp their attention, especially with the sound of glass breaking from her stray bullets hitting the ceiling. She had no intention of shooting anyone, and the moment they aimed their guns her way, she'd hide behind the pillar for cover, but for now, she wanted everyone to stop, hoping a third-party intervention might do that.

"What the Hell is wrong with you people!?" Midori would shout out to them all. If they turned to look, they would see Midori there, SMG still held up pointing at the ceiling. The girl was of average height with decent curves and a pale complexion. She had naturally black hair, but dyed with white streaks in the back, with pink and blue also in the front as it was done up in 'horns.' Over a dozen piercings just in her face alone, along her ears and a few in the lips, torn long socks and fingerless gloves that were both a matching pink and blue, and currently she was in her school uniform with a pink tie in the front, a chain belt, and white sneakers with pink and blue laces that matched her long-socks and hair, and a slightly oversized, dark green and red coat over herself. Anyone who knew Midori from school would quickly recognize her, but the school's 'Wild-Child' and local band guitarist wasn't here to cause a ruckus, raise Hell, or kill anyone today. Instead she was here to stop this before anyone else ended up dead, knowing full well that Miki and Kyo would assist her and stand up for what she was doing, and possibly even Kasumi or Maiyumi would too.

"Stop it! Killing eachother isn't going to solve a damn thing!" These were words that Midori never thought she'd say. She hated people really, practically dubbing humanity as a 'virus' in itself, and caring about little more than herself. But as her heart raced, her eyes glared at the scene ahead, and her hand holding the SMG was shaking just a little, she stood firmly for her new beliefs, wanting this bloodshed to stop, but also ready to duck into cover if her shouting protest for peace ended up with guns pointed at her instead...

"One down, one to go"
Was the thought running through Shin's mind as he went to pull the trigger and pump Sam full of hollow point rounds. A sick, sadistic smile seemed to crawl across Shin's face as he applied pressure to the trigger, imagining the rattle of the gun as it unloaded, the spray of blood and the helpless look in Sam's face, though it turned out to only be a sick thought rather than reality. Something caught Shin's attention, the quick pitter-patter of feet moving behind him and then it dawned on him. He still had the other to deal with and worst of all he had stopped moving. A perfect position for the former "leader" of the self defence squad to pounce on him and he did. Shin noticed the black staff catch the girl by the hip, pulling her away from the gun. Shin had to act fast, though wasn't quick enough to avoid the strike/nudge pushing him away from Sam and forcing him to let her go. Shin took the moment from the nude to distance himself a bit from the weapon, though felt the urgency to move faster once a loud grinding noise erupted from Ren's weapon, revealing a fold-away blade shooting towards his stomach. Shin added a little kick to his step, throwing him back just in the nick of time to avoid being cut by the blade, his jacket on the other hand wasn't so lucky. The scythe had tore the coat off of him, revealing his tattoo'd arms to the boy and his friend, as well as a bit of his tattoo'd back under that wife beater of his. Shin quickly regained his balance and tilted the SMG up at the black haired boy in front of him just as he pushed his blade up to his neck.
"Maybe I shouldn't. Maybe"
Shin chuckled a bit as he looked over the situation the two were in. A good old fashioned stand off. Both had each other in a near death blow, Shin with his MP7 pointed at the boy, who was now much to close to even dream of dodging bullets. On the other had Shin had a very sharp blade so close to his neck. The situation didn't worry the Yakuza son though, not in the slightest. It in fact did the opposite as the grin he was wearing earlier spread wider.
"I'm surprised that you were able to get here in time. I mean with that lega' yours. That was my favourite jacket though, I liked that jacket."
Shin wasn't really listening to what Ren was saying, he was more interested in mourning the loss of hit coat over what the black-haired boy had to say. Though he did catch the end of his little rant about protecting whoever and to leave things in the past. Shin had a rather witty comeback for him, though would have to put his thoughts on hold as the girl, Sam, began to scream at him holding a rather nice piece. A chrome plated desert eagle, the most sought out high-powered handgun. Probably for it's use in FPS games more than it's actual reliability in combat. Sure it had power, but aiming such a thing accurately wasn't easy and if Sam shot the way she fought then Shin wouldn't have to be too worried.
"Nice piece, you ever shot it before? I'm willin' to bet that you ain't. The kick on that thing-
Shin gave a low whistle, using it as a way to describe the power of the gun
-It'll probably put ya on your a**. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that you'd shoot that thing, hit the roof and smoke yourself in the face with gun before ya shot me. You're not even ********' relevant right now. So sit the ******** back down I'll get to ya la-
Gunshots
Shin's eyes quickly flicked to the side to see the rainbow-haired girl Midori, finish firing off several rounds into the air. Shin had a bit of a better view of the girl, who was now hiding behind a pillar, though she had began to shout, most likely telling them all to stop. Shin however couldn't hear her through his own thoughts which sounded something like "ding-ding-ding!!" Unknowingly the girl had just provided him with the sort of distraction that he needed. Shin's training with his father and his men gave the man the edge when it came to quick thinking. So in that split second the man had already devised some sort of plan to escape and maybe turn things back to in his favour banking on the fact that Ren and Sam wouldn't ignore the gunshots or the screaming girl. Step one, get away from the scythe. Shin was quick to pull away and under the blade, though didn't escape without receiving a shallow cut from the sharpened steel. Step two, scatter the enemy. After Shin had gained some room to breathe he squeeze the trigger letting the MP7 spray in the direction of the two, he wasn't aiming at anything in particular, but was more hoping that it would cause Ren and Sam to scatter and find cover. He'd hit them with a bullet or two if he was lucky, but that wasn't part of the plan. Step three, find advantageous cover and go about picking them off at a range. Shin pushed off, sliding on his knees towards the pillar while still letting his SMG ring. Once he had gotten there Shin quickly got up to his feet and pressed himself against the pillar beside Midori.
"Way to be a team player. I owe ya one freakshow."
The man mumbled as he swapped his now empty clip with the one extra magazine that he was given. He slung the SMG back around his shoulder and drew that two pistols that he had stashed away.
"Don't wait up"
Shin of course hadn't seen the dead girl who had fallen off the table yet, maybe if he had he wouldn't have completely dismissed what Midori had said and set off into towards the next of the few pillars that stood in the cafeteria, holding his guns at the ready incase Ren or Sam were waiting for him having a good feeling that if it came down to it and it came to a quick draw that he'd be the winner.

Kyo had entered the elevator with the rst of the second group, not bothering to comment on Miki's little fumble with the garbage can. As he had said earlier, he didn't have a good feeling about what was going on. Shin Kyoko had gone ahead to do god knows what, but it wouldn't be surprising if they were causing trouble, setting up traps or trying to kill someone, himself included. Kyo wasn't on Shin's good side, nor did he want to be, so he knew that if given the chance Shin would try to "get rid of him." He had shown as much back at the apartment while trying to leave the "dead weight" behind. Kyo simply gave a small smile to Midori who was trying to lighten the mood in the elevator as it began to make it's quick ascension to the second floor. Maybe if Kyo didn't have such a bad feeling in his gut he might have laughed at Midori's little joke, though after the smile was given he returned to the same stone-faced look that he was known for having. His former club members could attest to how serious Kyo could be, if they were still here, though he doubted that anyone had survived from the school, but that was besides the point. The elevator reached the top floor and as soon as the doors opened he heard several gunshots.
"Nishiguchi"
Kyo mumbled as the group stepped out of the elevator just as Maiyumi confirmed his thoughts. Midori and Miki had already gone ahead to see what was going on,but as much as Kyo wanted to join them, there were two more members of the group that needed his protection. The martial artist looked back at the two younger girls before nodding his head towards the cafeteria.
Follow me, stay close."
Kyo then set off after the two other girls, giving time for the others to keep at on his heels. It didn't take long for him to catch up with Midori and Miki, seeing the same scene as the rest. Kyoko and Jira scrapping just outside of the food court as well as Shin and the other two having their shoot-out. kyo also noticed the limp dead body lying in a red pool in the middle of the food court. Was that the other girl who they were trying to save? Were they too late? Midori seemed to have noticed it too and launched herself into the fray.
"W-wait! Midori-san its too-"
Too late, the girl had already set off and attempted to break up the fighting, Kyo doubted that Shin would agree to any sort of cease fire, especially after seeing the look on his face. The mn actually seemed to be enjoying what was going on. There was a moment after Midori commanded the three to stop where nothing happened, but that was only for a moment as Shin was the first to move, finding cover behind the same pillar as the "wild child" before setting off again to continue the fighting. Kyo wouldn't allow this to continue any further.
"Protect them!"
Kyo called back to the blonde haired girl with the rifle, referring of course to Maiyumi and Kasumi as he too began to make his way into the cafeteria. Kyo didn't really have a weapon though so he'd have to find his opportunity to stop the fight rather than create one as Midori had tried. The idea he had in mind though wasn't something that could be ignored once he had set himself in motion.

Unknowingly to the thug, Aiko was now dead but not by means that he was expecting. The sound of gunfire ringing through the mall quickly grabbed his attention and had him looking through the security shutters that were keeping him safe from everything and everyone else. That raven-haired chick much have lost her mind and started shooting at her friends, or maybe that noise-box he thought he killed spoke up and got herself finished off for good. That, or someone else had joined them and things had escalated to a turf war. Were that the case, the upper floor was no longer going to be the safest place to be, considering those kids were packing firearms... something he was not. The one person he was with a little bit ago had one, but when he ventured out to gather supplies he never came back, meaning the weapon, a JGSDF-issued Howa Type 64 battle rifle. What little ammunition there was for it, was with it, wherever the other person had died.

As there was little choice left for survival, the thug grabbed up his main supplies and blindly picked up one of the swords taken from the now dead Aiko, unlocked and left the drugstore with intent to make his way down to the first floor and lock himself in the administration office or find the rifle that had been lost. Pulling the shutters back down, the thug left it unintentionally unlocked, as his mind was more set on just getting away without getting pegged off by someone's bullet. As he took a look down the length of the mall, he could see two people, two girls at that, fighting in the open, with other people further away coming towards them, each carrying guns of their own.
"Tch..." Too many people all together, being loud in some form or another... With his things together, the thug made for the escalator that was pretty much in front of him and rode it down to the first floor, and stepped off once he was at the bottom. What he hadn't expected was to run into a small horde of zombies, as his eyes had instantly noticed the piles of dead ones left behind by Sam when she rescued Aiko earlier. But these new ones... they must have been getting attracted by the noise upstairs. As he turned to avoid them before they picked up on his presence, the dull katana he picked up out of his stash clanged against the railing of the escalator, alerting the group of undead to him being right in front of him. "s**t." Taking a swing at the closest one, the dull blade got caught in the flesh of the intended target rather than cutting right through. With the weapon stuck and a brief pause of disbelief, the thug backed up a couple steps before bumping into another upright dead body. "...Little b***h." In a matter of seconds, teeth from all directions began biting into his arms and neck despite him trying to pull away from them. He wasn't going to scream or shout out, as there was no help for him and he knew it. Karma's a b***h.

~"The dead shall fall once more."~

Sorin had stopped to take a short break after he put a good distance between himself and any danger. He sat back on the bench and leaned back his hair falling a bit more out of his face now revealing his perfect complexion to the sun. He signed and cleared a small bit of sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. He then leaned forward and pulled his pant-leg up and wrapped his ankle up, this would allow him to move around easier without looking like a liability. However even with a hurt leg he was probably quicker than your average man.

That's when he heard multiple gun shots coming from the mall. His face grew a serious look, the mall from a distance looked pretty safe, so unless those shots were aimed at the dead from the inside, it could be shots fired towards other survivors, maybe even former students. He got up and began running down the road towards the mall his hair and coat whipping violently back and forth giving a rough estimate that he was traveling fast.

When he reached the mall he ran around the side knowing the front door would be locked, there was a window on the side just as he had thought there was, he ran towards it, jumped covering his head and shattered through the window landing on his two feed sliding a bit before coming to a stop. He put his arms down and looked for something to cover the window with. He found an old fixture that must of been used in one of the stores, he picked it up and shoved it firmly into place of the window. He turned and began heading down the hall, the food court was just up ahead when he pushed through the two doors what he saw before him relieved him for just a moment until he realized they were pointing weapons at each other, he looked around at all the familiar faces and spoke, he had a strong powerful voice that would be all too familiar.
"What is this?.. I've been worried sick about you all; thinking constantly about whether or not you guys were safe every night.. And this is what I see? You turning against yourselves, wasting precious ammunition, and making your chances of survival less even though you are in less danger considering the lack of the undead in here?"
He moved a few steps forward looking at everyone from eye to eye before he spoke again,
"Letting this continue to go on makes you just as much responsible as the ones who started it and participated. So don't think you guys standing around idly are in the clear either. Times are different, you aren't children anymore, whether you like it or not you have to grow up, and quickly. This world will eat people acting like this alive, literally eat. I don't know what started this, but it shouldn't of happened, now I suggest you put away your ammo and save it for when you really need it and stop this bull s**t.. Immediately."
Sorin finished and was just standing there silent, he just kept glancing between them all not saying a single word, he couldn't believe his eyes, most of these students were all better than this, and really good kids.

Ren's mind hadn't blacked out yet and he was pretty sane with the stare down that was happening. Sam was ready to shoot Shin at any moment and Shin had the gun pointed at him and ready to fire. If the battle was going to continue, two more would be taken from this world. He wouldn't want to leave the girls by themselves, but that would happen if this would continue. Ren had his breath held and as the man talked, it allowed him some time to scan the room. That's when his eyes hit something on the ground and he bit his tongue before showing that he was away from the battle. Aiko, the young girl he was trying to protect, was on the ground with a pool of blood under her. That was enough to know that she wasn't with them anymore. Plus, the reactions from the bystanders was enough to confirm his thoughts. His mind blacked out and blood lust over took him. Aiko was fine until Shin came in. "If that's your fault...." He said, unable to finish it. Ren was already inching towards his katana on his waist. As the bullets rang out behind him, it was just enough of a distraction to him and Shin got out of his reach. He had jumped back and when he said 'Thanks for being a team player', or something around those lines, he knew that the person who shot must have been part of his group.

On reaction, Ren began to chase, but as he put pressure on his leg, he stumbled. He bit down hard and stopped, his mind coming back to him. His breathing was a bit heavy again, now that the adrenaline was done. "Well damn...." He said firmly. Ren looked up to analyze who all was there and even lifted the scythe onto his shoulder. To see both Midori and all the others, he was glad that they were alive. Then another person came in. He began to lecture the group, but Ren didn't really listen to what he had said. He turned to the man who was talking and noticed that it was a teacher from the school. The man was another one of those people who had taught Ren to use his weapons. Shaking his head, he sighed and backed up to a table. His pant leg was beginning to get wet again, which meant that the wound had opened again.

Ren looked to the teacher and then back at Midori and shook his head. "Sam, it's over for now...But we'll get him back later. Someone needs to help Jira though...." He said to her. Ren knew that Sam would go after Jira for him, plus he wasn't in shape to do so at the moment. He sat back on the table. "I'm glad that you are all alive. Sorry for what you had to see...." He said with a weak chuckle. He looked over to Kasumi and recognized her. "Any chance you can help me out Kasumi?" He asked her, trying to get off the topic on what had happened before hand. but before settling down, he grabbed one of the extra jackets he had and walked over to Aiko's body. He knelt down. "Sorry I couldn't protect you." He said lightly as he put the jacket over her.

As Ren stood up, a sharp pain went through his leg which put him back on his knee and to the floor. "Well, can't get up now, can I..." He said. that's when he turned his attention to Sorin. "I would rather not hear a lecture at the moment Sorin. A lot has happened and still happening. We're not students anymore, we're survivors and fighting to stay alive. I'm glad that you're still here, and I hope my other teachers are too, but.." He stopped to push the button on his staff to retract the blade, slinging the staff onto his back. "I wouldn't think to start with a talk down to us then anything...Then again, that's how I saw that as...." He said through heavy breaths.

Ren hoped Kasumi would help him with his leg. He wasn't able to move anymore from the spot he was at, that's for sure. He glanced back at Midori and smiled at her. "It's great to see you again Midori. Sorry for what you had to stop." He said lightly as he leaned back against a chair.

This should be going a lot better, but Jira was surprisingly very good at this sort of fighting. Kyoko had figured a good hard punch or knee to the gut would do her in, but it seemed as though she was fight-smart much like herself. Good, a worthy fight, but also bad as this wasn't going according to plan. Neither was the sudden uppercut delivered to her chin which knocked her back a bit, along with the foot hooked behind her own and the shove to push her down onto her back. The redhead grunted as she hit the ground, the shotgun slung across her back digging into her rather uncomfortably. Right! She was so far losing this battle, somehow, but still had means of turning the tables even if it labeled her as a cheap fighter. If it meant she survived, she'd accept that title and brandish it proudly. Kicking away from Jira, Kyoko rolled herself up onto her knees, pulling the shotgun from her back in the same motion and soon had it pointed at the half-blind chick with a wide grin on her face.
"I was never good with followin' the ru--"
A few shots rang out nearby, Kyoko ducking a little but looking to see where they were coming from. It wasn't Shin's doing, but Midori, firing up at the ceiling and taking out a light fixture. She was going to stop them, was she? Shin was decidedly not going to take s**t from anyone, and Kyoko rarely did, only doing so for a few select people. Midori was her friend, but currently making demands and waving a gun around wasn't settling to well in the redhead's mind. To her, she was seeing it as a challenge. First though... Jira was still the bigger threat, even if she didn't have a gun. Getting up to her feet, the shotty-wielding b***h pointed the barrel of the Mossberg at Jira's face, pumping it to show her that it was indeed loaded and ready to fire.
"Get yer a** down on the floor, before I do it for ya... NOW!"
To further prove that she was ready to shoot and end things, Kyoko turned the barrel towards the ceiling and fired off the loaded round, pumping the weapon again and resumed pointing it at the purple-haired girl across from her.
"Like hell it ain't gonna solve anythin'... one less person I gotta worry 'bout takin' me out. Them zombies ain't got s**t on a livin' person. She's smart. It's what makes her dangerous."

Miki had done as she was told and hung back, keeping Maiyumi and Kasumi safe while Midori went up ahead, shortly followed by Kyo. She held the rifle against her shoulder, loosely aiming it towards Kyoko and Jira, switching her target every few seconds as she wasn't sure who was the bigger threat. The decision was soon made as Kyoko fired off towards the ceiling, Miki aiming at her roommate with an unwavering stance.
"Kyoko! That's enough! We're not here to put you down, we're on your side! J-just stop! Please! You win, you don't need to fight her anymore!"
Miki called out from across the corridor, her attention briefly being taken from the fighting by someone in the distance watching them. He looked like he was leaving, so she wasn't too concerned with him, not right now. Kasumi's voice was heard next, the blonde slightly turning her head in her direction but was keeping her eyes on the others.
"I sincerely hope they do. Their definition of survival is, pardon my language, ********, and they should realize that it is as soon as possible."
Miki managed a bit of a smile on her face for the two juniors' sakes, not wanting them to worry any more than they already likely were. All of the fighting that was going on was just going to get someone dead, as per their plans, but it wasn't going to help anything. The noise would attract "them", would waste ammunition, kill or injure someone... the list was potentially endless of how things could go bad or wrong, but they looked like they didn't care one bit. Midori and Kyo, yes, but not the others.

As she began to step closer to Kyoko while holding the rifle up still, someone appeared at the top of the escalator and approached, the face of the man instantly ringing bells with Miki. Mr. Koigokoro, the school's counselor. There had been a few times when she went to visit him in his office, on the days when the grief of losing her parents was just too much for her to handle. A very kind man, but seeing him yelling and commanding attention as he was, it briefly stunned the blonde. Finally, an adult! A smart adult! While Mr. Akashi was smart in his own regards, she was still bitter over his lack of informing them of being infected and wouldn't praise him unless it was forcibly pulled from her lips.

"Don't be stupid Kyoko, whatever happened between you and her, shooting her going to solve it. Just... lower the shotgun."

Kyoko's eyes were looking to the side, towards the source of the new voice though her head stayed directed towards Jira, as did the barrel of the shotgun. The guy's words didn't phase the redhead too much, though he did bring up a good point. She was wasting precious ammo, something she may not come across again for a good long while. Shifting her attention back to Jira, her eyes quickly passed her by as Miki stepped between them, the shotgun finding itself pressed against the blonde's forehead. Lower the shotgun she said... yeah, right. It took a moment for her to answer, but eventually Kyoko moved the barrel of her weapon and pointed it at the floor, away from her "sister" and her adversary. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't pull the trigger while Miki was in the way and pleading with her life.
[********' hell. Can't have any fun, can I? I only ain't shootin' 'er since I'll need this shot for later. For somethin' more deservin'."
Kyoko took a moment to spit some blood out of her mouth, followed by a piece of a tooth which had been chipped after Jira's uppercut connected with her chin. The look on Kyoko's face read that she was super pissed, but also disappointed. Hurt? Maybe a little sore but nothing a little dental gel couldn't deal with. Flicking the safety on her shotgun, the redhead backed away from the two girls directly in front of her and went to grab up her tomahawks and slid them down into the sides of her boots. Her eyes went back to looking for the new voice, and saw that it belonged to the counselor of the school. Hmph. Good timing on his, and everyone else's parts to arrive just in time to defuse the situation. Until she was needed though, Kyoko kept her distance from everyone and took to giving dirty looks to everyone, Miki and Midori included even though they were only helping to keep everyone alive.

Hey did you know you're makin' nice with a murderer?
Hey did you know you're swappin' lies with a dirty girl?
In order for me to play a nurse,
You're gonna have to tell me where it hurts.

Jira grinned as her strikes connected, but didn't get the chance to pin her down and make her suffer like she had planned. She kicked away from her and pulled her shotgun out. Of course, whatever she had to say was cut off by the sound of gunshots. It didn't help that thanks to those, the gun was being pumped and pointed at her even more. Sighing, she got on her knees, glaring at Kyoko. "There. Happy? If you're gonna be a ******** coward and shoot me while I'm down here, get it over with. I still kicked your a**, you just can't accept it." she told her, trying to irritate the girl.

What she didn't expect however, was the sudden presence of Miki in between them. The blond stopped her red haired friend from shooting Jira in the face, but she was still wary of her. Standing, she looked over at her. "I owe ya one, Blondie.." she said, walking over towards the others. She couldn't see over the tables yet, but once she made it over to them, she saw Ren on the floor, the pool of blood under a covered up body. At first, she nearly lost it completely, thinking that it could possibly be Sam, but looking again she saw her friend right there and was relieved.

Still though, that meant that the girl on the scooter was dead. She knew Ren and Sam could never have done it, so that left only one person: Shin. Her blood started to boil, and she wanted to go at him really badly for it. The girl wasn't involved in this, and it was deplorable that he had done something to her. Then there was the guidance counselor, lecturing them all. Jira merely laughed a bit at that. Looking back over at the others that were in Shin and Kyoko's group, she recognized Maiyumi automatically. She barely knew her, only knowing that Sayaka had met her at some sort of singing event and looked up to her. The goth looking girl with the horns, her name she didn't remember, but she had seen her a few times. From the looks of it, it had been her firing off the bullets. And then the nurse's aide. She should be tending to Ren right about now.

Sighing, she walked over to where Ren was pretty much stuck on the ground, sitting down next to him and pulling her lead pipe from where she'd had it hooked, casually laying it in her lap and looking at Shin and Kyoko as if daring them to make a step closer. Finally though, she looked over at him. "Nice going, Hero boy...though maybe I should say Player boy since you have so many girlfriends.." she joked, in an attempt to lighten up the situation. She stretched a bit, an action that caused her to wince and stop quickly. It was a bit painful due to Kyoko's hits she got in. No doubt she'd have some bruising, even with knowing how to curb some of the impact. She'd been street fighting for a few years now, it was no surprise the one-eyed girl had a few tricks up her sleeve.

Maiyumi Sato

I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong
To crash the critic saying, "is it right or is it wrong?"
If only fame had an IV, baby could I bear
Being away from you, I found the vein, put it in here

Maiyumi watched as Miki and Midori went ahead, nodding to Kyo as he spoke to her and Kasumi. "R-Right.." she said, then looked to Kasumi before following. The scene they came upon wasn't good. She stared wide-eyed, grabbing on to Kasumi's arm for support. Ren wasn't in good condition, and there was a dead girl lying there. Seeing it made her feel sadness, and a bit sick. She held it together though, looking over at the flashes of red and purple as Kyoko fought with another girl. Midori had fired off shots, and gone off on them all. It wasn't long after that the guidance counselor showed up.

Once things had settled down, she heard Ren asking for Kasumi. Looking over at her, Maiyumi smiled at the girl, and tugged lightly. "Come on, I think it's safe now.." she said, walking with her over to Ren. Jira eyed the both of them and Maiyumi gave her a silent nod and a smile. The girl merely shrugged at her and went back to observing Shin and Kyoko. Getting there, she smiled half-heartedly at Ren. "I'm glad you're okay...aside from your leg that is.." she told him. It was then that she glanced back towards Jira. She recognized her. She was Sayaka's sister, or something of the sort. She wanted to ask how the girl was, and if they had found her yet, but first thing's first. Looking back around, her eyes rested on Sorin. "He's right guys...we really don't need to be fighting right now....and...w-wouldn't the noise get the attention of 'them?'" she asked, looking at them all. "That's what it did before, right?"

Kasumi saw Ren sitting in a chair and addressed her as she nodded her head and rushed over to him"I am sorry i was not here sooner, please relax and let me do everything i can do to help!"She said as she immediately examined his leg and nodded her head"Okay it's a serious gash on the leg going up to the knee and treatment is clean the wound disinfect and stitch"She said to herself and took her bag off her back and took a box of disposable gloves and slipped a pair on before she took a couple of alcohol swabs and began to clean the wound with haste and smiled a bit.As she reached in her bag again she took a disinfectant spray and sprayed the wound down then finally looked up at Ren with a embarrassed smile on her face"Ummm i am sorry if this going to sting a bit but please bare with me?"She asked as she started to slowly stitch the gash carefully trying not to make a mistake.Ten minutes passed and she was finished with the stitching and smiled"There we go please refrain from walking for another thirty minutes or so?Oh and also please take these to calm the pain you are going through"The maiden said as she gave Ren a couple of capsules of medicine for his pain and looked aroundKasumi said as she removed her gloves and tossed them in the trash leaving them out to have them when ready to work on another person.

Samantha listened to what Shin was saying about the gun and how powerful it was,She knew how bad the kick was and she might had missed.Gritting her teeth Sam took the gun and lowered it and herd the voice of a all to familiar voice which was the school counselor.A sigh escaped the girls mouth as she thought of all the times she was forced to see him from all the lovely people that wound up in the hospital or her charming way of telling the staff off in school. She shook her head at the whole rant he gave and went to pick her shorts up and slipped them back on and joined Ren and Jira at a table. She grabbed her bag and placed the gun back inside and took out a bottle of rum and sighed"This is a ******** day i will never forget i almost died twice and now we are in the same space with people who are trying to kill us"She said to nobody in particular and opened her bottle and took a rather large swig of her bottle trying to forget about the graze from the bullet on her arm

Kyo had been slowly making his way into the food court with the spiked-baton in hand. The situation had diffused a bit thanks to Midori, but he knew that Shin wasn't done yet. With the short time that he had been around the man, he knew that Shin wouldn't settle for a draw. Not unless he had something to gain from it and in this situation he didn't. Kyo watched as the man ran off to the other end of the food court, probably forming some sort of plan to exact his revenge, if that was the case. The martial artist would of course keep an eye out for the tattoo'd man, he'd have to, to ensure the safety of the others. He'd have to keep them safe, it was his job after all. It was only after Shin had gone into his temporary hiding that a man stepped into the food court, one that Kyo had seen, though he didn't quite know. The student counselor from Taito academy. Kyo was a relatively good student, never skipping or getting into trouble and never really needing any sort of guidance in his school carrier so he had never actually sat down with the man to have a conversation of any sort, though knew who he was just because they were in the same vicinity for the past few years. The man went off, scolding everyone in the food court about their actions and what needed to be done and while Kyo did agree with the man completely he didn't like the way he spoke to them as if they were children, which they were, but that was besides the point, the man seemed to be able to calm down some of the group and get things straightened out.
Kyo let out a heavy sigh, sliding the baton back into his belt. He looked back at Miki, who had things covered on her end then to Midori, who had risked her neck to stop things in the first place. He gave them both a nod, seeing as things had finally gotten under control, at least he thought they did

Shin had managed to get some distance from Ren and Sam, taking what little time he had gained from the distraction provided by Midori and others to re-up and reload his weapons while he was behind one of the several tall pillars that stretched from the ground of the upper floor to the roof of the mall. Shin pulled the hammer back on both pistols, which were now in his hands and took a peek around the pillar to get an idea on where his targets were. What he saw made him smile a bit, as the boy Ren seemed to be a bit more than shaky on his feet than before, almost falling over himself. The corner of his lips curled into a small smile, now was his chance. There was no way he could contend with Shin now, not at this range and not with that leg. It would be all to easy, but it wouldn't be a quick death oh no. Shin wanted to enjoy the boys pain, the girls too. He wanted them to really feel it! An odd thing, really, at least for Shin who never seemed to care much about petty things like this. He was known for being level headed, calm, cool and collected. Not really showing his emotion, but ever since the break out Shin slowly began to become more and more violent. Heartless, as the group had already pointed out. He of course didn't notice, nor did he care. Right now he had a goal and was going to complete it no matter what the cost.
Just as Shin was about to rush out gun blazing and get the job done, well get the job nearly done, he noticed someone walk into the food court, someone familiar. It was only when Shin got a better look that he recognized him as Mr.Koigokoro, the student counselor back at Taito academy. Shin had a few run ins with the man, none on his own accord. Mostly due to the occasional school yard fight he had gotten into with someone who thought it was smart to bad mouth the Yakuza, or the baseball team. He remembered the man being "friendly" though paid little mind to that and more to who he was. Yes, Shin knew his dirty secrets, it would be hard to keep it in the dark considering his family name and Shin own ties with the notorious Yakuza gangs that were scattered around Japan. Either way, he was here now and his presence was highly unwanted, though it didn't seem that way to the rest of the people in the court. Who all seemed to listen to him and... wait...
Did they forget about Shin? Did they forget that he was there!?
The small smile that had once played across the mans face quickly turned into a frown and from that a rather angry expression as the thought sunk in. So what, an adult stepped in an he was all of the sudden not a threat anymore? Shin breathing began to get heavy as anger filled him. No, he wasn't going to let this slide. HELL NO.
"SHUT THE ******** UP!"
Shin shout as he jumped out from behind the pillar sending a single shot in the air before aiming his guns at Ren and the group around him. The crazed look of rage on his face told it all, he was looking for blood.
"Ya think it's ********' over? It ain't over! Why because this old fart comes in spewin' his bullshit ya all of the sudden forget I'm here? Ya actually think that I'm gonna listen to this p***k. You idiots got another thing comin!"
Shin began to take steps towards the group centred in the middle of the tossed tables of the food court. His eyes flickering between each person, though the barrel of his pistols were aimed at Ren and the counselor who had just walked in.
"Look at you all. Actin' like we all chummy and s**t. You're all ******** now, thinkin' I'm through here. No, this ain't over 'till I say it is and I say it's over when you're all lyin' face down and dead. Ya here me, DEAD! Starting with yo-"

Kyo had to act quick, before Shin got his shot off. He had already begun running towards the tattoo'd man, who seemed to be in too much of a rage-induced haze to realize the martial artist coming up on him, well that was until he was within range. Shin's eyes flicked to the side where Kyo was rushing him and quickly turned to the other male, letting his guns fire. Kyo ducked right before Shin had pulled the trigger, going under the bullets and threw a hard punch to the mans gut. The Yakuza heir had no time to react and took the blow head on. It was hard enough to leave the man winded and gasping for air with his mouth hanging open, but Kyo wasn't done there. He proceeded to throw and uppercut, landing directly on the man's chin, forcing him to reel back before the marital artist caught his enemy by his left arm and tossed him over his shoulder, hard into the tiled floor. There was a loud crashing noise from the throw, followed by a very loud pop and a scream of pain from Shin, who had dropped his guns and was now holding onto his left shoulder.
Kyo quickly kicked Shin pistols away from him and tore the SMG off his shoulder, causing the man the grunt in more pain. It was obvious from the look of things that he had dislocated his shoulder from the fall and was now in no condition to shoot, but he'd disarm him anyways just in case.
"That's enough! You wont hurt anyone anymore Nishiguchi. I'll make sure of that!
Kyo siad standing over the fallen giant, his fists still up in the air.
"Is that right? You gonna kill me? I don't think you have the gu-"
"If I have to, to keep everyone safe I will! We're all trying to survive here NIshiguchi. We need each other, why can't you see that."
[******** you, that's why."

"You're hopeless."
And with that short exchange of words Kyo dropped the SMG turned his back on Shin and made his way back to the group in the cafeteria, while Shin struggled to get to his feet, still holding his injured shoulder before picking up the MP7, gingerly slinging the gun around his shoulder before he went to grab his other weapons and slink off to the corner where he could "lick his wounds." Like an injured animal, making a vow in his mind that he'd get them back for what they did. He would keep true to his words.

Sorin watched as the attitude shift occurred. He looked around then his attention went over to Shin who seemed to handle the situation differently, Sorins hand flew to his waist under his coat until he saw Kyo making his move. Kyo knocked the crap out of Shin and rendered him slightly immobilized. He moved his arm away from his waist and then looked around at everyone. The mood still seemed to be calm. He let out a small breath and spoke once more,
"Sorry for addressing you all like children, you no longer are anymore in this world. My counseling isn't going to be needed as much I'm sure, but if you ever need to talk to me, as equals, feel free. Also, I'm glad to see that so many of you are okay and actually made it."
Sorin smiled warmly then walked over to a table with a chair and sat down on the chair. He ran his fingers through his beautiful long black hair then pulled out a flask. He screwed the top off took a swig and screwed the top pack on sliding it back into his jacket. Sorin was a classy man, he liked a good strong drink after a long day, but he limited the amount of intake. It was just enough to give him a slight buzz that actually kept his senses a little more alert as well as waking him up a bit. He looked around seeing what kind of fortifications were in order and was thinking about how he could fortify the area a bit more. He then reached up and squeezed the bridge of his nose, he hadn't realized he had a head ache forming, the worst part was that he was all out of pain reliever.

User ImageLet them kill eachother, let the blood flow, celebrate over their corpses, and use it for her dark desires and twisted logic; that was what the old Midori would have said. The girl who -before all of this- found herself obsessed with the idea of death, the goth girl claiming to put curses and hexes on people, seeing humanity as a virus, and practically a worshipper of the Devils and Onis that she believed in. But now, as the world was upside down, and she knew how fragile life really was after seeing it all first hand and nearly dying, Midori's personality had shifted drastically. She didn't want to see anyone die, she wanted to see this through, and she was working her hardest to help everyone, even putting herself in harms way just now to try and get them to stop.

Her heart was racing as it was ending, the gun at her side where her hand was shaking, pink eyes scanning the area in disbelief while everything happened. For one, there was Shin, who at first he thought Midori was doing him a favor by creating a diversion, but his words only left her stunned that he seemed to be so thrilled by the fight. She wanted to slug him, and casted her pink eyes at him with a dark glare when he thanked her. She knew that the others were worried about her, and she heard Kyo call out to her for a second, before he went on to getting involved himself, and for that, Midori once again found herself appreciating Kyo's efforts, really starting to like the guy.

She didn't let herself get distracted though, as more went on in a matter of seconds. A teacher had arrived next, and while Midori stayed behind cover, not wanting to get involved in the fight, but knowing her few shots to try and silence them might have made her a target, she still wanted to keep herself from getting shot at. Almost instantly did she recognize the teacher, as he tried to spell it out to everyone with a powerful shout, saying more or less what Midori was thinking, but saying it far more eloquently than she could have. The girl had to admit, she didn't expect to see him here, but it also left her with a lot of mixed feelings.

That was because Midori had a pretty bad history with Sorin, ..which was an understatement. The goth, rocker girl had no way with authority and caused a lot of trouble in the schools. She unsettled students, stole from them, got in fights, was generally an outcast, and often threatened them with her 'curses and hexes' which were pretty much taken as death threats. Suspensions were not far few or far between, and she had been in Sorin's office more times than she could even remember. And when she was, it pretty much consisted of her ignoring him, telling him to '******** off' and when he really tried to help, it only ended up in her giving strange, creepy rants, mentions of the devils she loved, and playing it off like he was just another person in the system, claiming he like the rest were just a virus.

...Needless to say, Midori was a problem student, and a real headache for the school faculty, marked as a hopeless cause to nearly every teacher.

However, here she was, trying to get the others to stop just like he was, and working with the group. Though he had arrived in time to see her shooting at the cieling, and didn't see her earlier, friendly actions with the team, so it probably didn't look good for her. Whatever the case though, Midori didn't say anything to him yet, his presence giving her some really mixed feelings and making her go quiet.

Ren she recognized to, and after the fight seemed to calm down, she was about to approach him and ask what was going on. Though, not before Shin and Kyoko caused a last bit of trouble. Kyoko was not having this peace so easily, and she got into an arguement with Miki, something that made Midori feel tense, and start heading to Miki's side, only to stop when Kyoko's gun ended up pointing at her blond roommate who was like a sister to her. Instantly, Midori's blood ran cold. So much was going on, so many lives on the line and in danger, and she was powerless to do a damn thing! "Kyoko-san, c-c'mon, listen to her, ...don't do this." She didn't know what else to do, not wanting to make any sudden moves, before Kyoko finally lowered the gun, and it made a sigh of relief escape her lips. This was all so screwed up, and it made the girl an emotionally stressed wreck right now, wanting to help but not even sure where to start.

Finally, the last conflict was with Shin, who- wait, Kyo! What the Hell was he doing!? Quickly, shin decided that he wasn't going to play nice like the others, and his guns aimed at Ren and the councsilor, again putting Midori on edge. Her hands trembled, but she went to grasp her SMG and pointed it his way. She didn't want to shoot anyone, she never had, and didn't intend to. But if the tall, muscular male with one Hell of an attitude didn't want to play nice, and was going to keep shooting, then Midori knew she had to do something. "Kyo-san!!" Calling him by his name for once, Midori's eys widened in horror when Shin shot his way. Thankfully, the brown haired, large, young man, managed to avoid the bullets just barely, and took him down, managing to pin Shin down and socked him a few times for good measure.

Again, a close call. Way too many to count, and Midori's skin went pale as they had literally dodged a bullet here with someone else almost getting killed. This was too much, and while she wanted to go over to him, she heard Ren's voice, followed by the councilor's, as things were finally starting to settle. For personal reasons, she avoided the councilor for now. Sorin and Midori actually had very similar ideals here, his words speaking volumes to how she felt. But she didn't think he knew that, and their history likely was going to make it rough until she proved otherwise to him. Instead, the girl was quiet, feeling like she hadn't been able to help, especially when she saw the body off in the distance, making her feel sick. With how many horror films, anatomy books, even self injuries and pure love for death that Midori had been through, one would think she could handle seeing a dead person. But this was her first time seeing it in real life, at least like this, and it left a solemn feeling in her.

So finally, following along with Maiyumi and Kasumi to go over towards Ren, Sam, and Juri. The smile that Ren gave her was comforting, especially when she heard him greet her, but it didn't make the girl smile. If anything, she felt like she failed here, and didn't know what else to say. "It's... good to see ya too, Ren-san. Glad you're alive." Her voice was a little distant, deep in thought, troubled, and stressed. She was in a flux. One moment she could smile, joke with Miki, and try to lighten everyones spirits, becoming a much better team player than anyone could imagine of the girl. Then the next, everyone was at eachother's throats, lives were on the line, and she was cluelessly trying to help, having no experience with being a leader or just cooperating; but damn did she try. "...Don't thank me though. Someone's still dead. You and your group is hurt, and... things are just really screwed up right now. ...If anything, I should be the one saying sorry to you, Ren-san." Ren and Midori may not have known eachother too well, but he was a fan of her music, they talked a few times in school, and they generally had a mutual respect for eachother, even if Midori was very hard to talk to. However, he could tell this was not like the Midori he knew, the normally grim goth girl looking sad by the scenario, like she had failed somehow. Her apologizing like that was enough to show she was off, not wanting the attention he gave her.

Still, she looked down at him with small frown, standing beside Ren, and then saw as Kasumi went to help him, causing her to smile weakly as she briefly watched. Midori herself had some basic medical knowledge, but it looked like she wasn't needed, and Kasumi had it here. It was impressive actually, but she let her work, keeping Kasumi and Maiyumi company in silence, before her eyes fell on the purple haired, eyepatch wearing girl. She had seen her a few times in hallways at school just like Jira had with her, but generally, the two had no connection with eachother. Still, no reason not to try now, right? "Hey, are you um... you okay? Sorry for what you had to go through and that I couldn't help sooner..." Even if Midori's voice made it sound like she wasn't that okay herself, she still tried, her weak smile offered at Jira, followed by a hand if she wanted to take it in a handshake, or even use Midori's shoulder for support or something.. The girl didn't look terrible, but she could see that Jira was a bit disheveled and bruised up, and Midori felt like the least she could do for the one eyed, violet haired girl was to offer her some help. She was a friend of Ren's too from the look of it, so it was worth a shot.
