gaia_nitemareleft Lily Shinobi gaia_nitemareright
Lily gasped when she saw Kael go off on her father like that, shocked by the sudden anger that seemed to fuel him in what he did. She had seen him stand up for her before, but not to her own parents. Part of her hoped her father was okay, but the other part of her was smiling to see that her best friend did still mean to be there for her. How had she ever gotten so lucky to find him? Or was it that he found her? Whatever the cause was, she took the chance Kael was giving her and slipped away.
As for her father, he merely watched as Lily went by, eyes burning with fury of a thousand suns. He knew Kael was bigger than him and could take him down, that was one of the reasons he didn't try to fight back. There was also the fact that he knew there was a licensed police officer close at hand and would take him down. It had happened once before...that was a dark day...
Her bags were on the bed and she was tossing everything into them. She didn't have much left that she was worried about taking with her, just needing more clothes. There were posters on the walls and such, but those could be replaced. Her heart was pounding so loudly in her ears that when Kael walked up behind her, she jumped, not realizing he was there.
"O-okay..." Her words came out a bit stammered as she tried to calm herself. Hands brushed through her blonde hair, missing the usual colored streak she would add at times. It was all so overwhelming, but she had to keep her head held high. Reaching up for a moment, her hand brushed along Kael's cheek as if in an attempt to calm both of them down and she leaned up and kissed his lips gently. "Thank you." With that she had several bags tossed over her shoulders. A few remained as she headed on down the hall.
Max was at the door still, leaving Julie to help them get the stuff in the back. He didn't want to chance anything else happening.
"You'll regret this Lily. I swear it," her father called out behind her. Her mother just standing there, looking useless in the situation.
(Sorry for the delay in post...things have been crazy this way)
