Smiling, Dominic chuckled a little. "Two problems with that. One you don't know someone else and two who says I'm not a gentlemen? I never said no to your little invite by the way," He added before he listened to her go on and on about how she viewed him. "Don't tell me you're upset because I didn't say yes right away, so silly," He pointed out but noticed she had a look that said she wasn't really too bothered about it as time passed. Hearing she had a backup plan, he watched her jump on her phone instead and he figured she was probably going through her contacts. Shrugging he went ahead and started to eat before he got half way through and noticed she was still eating while on her phone.

"Hey if you're going to browse for a date do it later, we're suppose to be enjoying lunch together aren't we? As friends only, you said so yourself," He pointed out while poking the phone in her hand lightly with his fork. "Put it away."

Scoffing at him, Blair bit into her waffle and let him talk. "actually just one problem because there is always someone else there"she pointed out since he seemed to think the only man in her life at the moment was him. When he mention her being upset, she looked up at him with a smile "i never get upset about small things like that...remember that"she stated going back to her phone.

When he poked it with his fork, she lowered it for a moment "jealous i might go with someone else now?"she asked him before she shrugged "suit yourself by the way, i'm not going to ask twice and you had your chance"she told him as she went back to her phone.

Hearing her statement he sighed since she seemed convinced that there were better choices than him. It wasn't that she was wrong either since he knew there would be plenty of guys out there that would possibly want a chance at her. Partly because she was indeed attractive but at the same time he knew she also had a good personality and that combination tend to attract people. Even though he like to think he was the top choice for everyone, there were others. Once she confirmed his thoughts by saying she wouldn't get upset over his statement, he sighed a bit but remained quiet for the time being waiting for her to finish.

Seeing her lower the phone for a moment, he scoffed when she called him jealous. "Sorry wouldn't even know what the word meant. I have no reason to be jealous. Besides you're missing the point...." he said shortly before she mentioned that she wasn't going to ask him again to go with her. Of course he didn't care one way or the other if she went ahead with someone else since it wasn't always who you showed up to the party with, it was who you left with. Still watching her ignore him in favor of her phone did annoy him slightly. Woman usually begged for his attention, yearned for his time and yet here he sat across from one that seemed uninterested. With her eyes glued to the screen he sighed and finished up his plate before taking out his wallet to pay. Tossing some money on the center of the table he went ahead and stood up. "Fine, then why don't you call your new date over to finish up this lunch with you then, he might find this more enjoyable than I do. In any case, I guess I'll see you in class," he suggested before heading out.

When the table went quiet for a while, Blair wondered what was going through his mind and hoped he would just ask her to the party but her hopes were popped when he tossed the money on the table, made a snarky remark and left the diner. Paying her share, she followed him out and smacked him on the shoulder "you do not walk out on girls during a lunch date. It's rude and excuse me for not being a needy girl that you're used to but fine...go ahead and go"she said as she turned on her heel and went to her car angry.

Getting into it, she sat behind the wheel for a bit to cool down, wondering what made her so worked up about the guy. She was trying to befriend the man, get her title she deserved and practically owned and just get through the new school without much of problems but no...he just wouldn't let her get either since he wouldn't co-operate at all it seemed. It did not help that he was very attractive but too in love with himself for Blair since she always got hurt in the end.

Feeling the cold autumn air smacking his cheeks made Dominic immediately regret not bringing his car as he started to walk. Luckily he knew the area well enough to know where he was and who's house he could get to in order to kill time. He wondered why he was so annoyed at the moment as he continued his determined walk along the pavement. Somehow she more than anything seemed like she knew how to get under his skin. As he thought about it he felt a huge smack against his shoulders. Seeing Blair he frowned before she told him to go. "I don't need your permission to leave and you want to know what else is rude? Your ******** attitude!" He shouted as he seen her turn on her heel and walk back to her car.

Picking up his pace walking, he eventually took enough steps to calm down and to realize he had a phone so he could call for someone to pick him up. Sorting through his list of names he noticed Blair's and thought about deleting it, eventually he clicked the one under it and waited for the woman to answer. "Hey, I'm in the area, you home? How about I drop by," He said before he got the response he wanted. "Be there in five," He said before hanging up once again and making his way to the apartment to release some of his frustrations from the afternoon.

Leaving and getting back to her place, she was really sick of Dominic being a d**k to her. Deciding not to let him get to her, she phone a friend and decided to bring him to the party. Knowing it would somehow annoy Dom, she made sure he was the most good looking and smart guy she knew. Settling on a guy she met while on holidays that attended the Ivy league and was quite known, she laid on the bed and wondered what to do with herself for the rest of the day.

Laying in bed, Dominic keep debating about calling Blair to demand a proper apology for how their lunch went or just ignoring her completely. Since a few hours passed, he assumed she'd come to understand why he got so annoyed with her and call him, begging for him to take her. However in true Hartley fashion, he got nothing out of her. Of course he questioned why he was being so involved with her in the first place but also figured that deleting her number and giving up would only give Blair the benefit of bragging later on about it.

"Dom, what are you doing? You asked to come over yet all you're doing is staring at your phone," Rebecca mentioned as she traced shapes on his chest and waited for him to pay some attention to her. "Are you texting your girlfriend?" she asked.

"Do you think I'd sleep with you if I had a girlfriend?" he questioned back before he noticed a laugh came out of her soon after.

"Honestly? I think so...you do know your reputation right?." She answered but noticed he wasn't responding. Rolling over for now to sleep, Dominic turned off his phone for now and figured he would just leave the situation alone for now.

As the week went by, Blair didn't keep in touch with Dominic much, only hello or hi while in school but she didn't plan on giving him the satisfaction of her asking him to the dance again. Setting up a date for herself, she made sure it was a correct move before the party date arrived.
Getting all done up, Blair got her family limo so they could attend and got to the Bass mansion where the party was hosted. Pulling up, she was escorted inside by her date and went ahead to speak to Bass.

"hello, Edward...such a beautiful evening"she commented since she loved the whole theme, the candles and the whole vibe the place had. "This is Christopher Hall, my date"she said smiling

Christopher shook hands with Edward "pleasure"he stated

Ed grinned "looking well Blair, how was your week? I noticed you and Dom haven't been quite warm towards each other...i thought you guys were finally getting along"he commented before Blair scoffed

"now why would we be...he's my friends brother with a great reputation"she chuckled as she chatted with him and watched the surroundings while Chris went to grab them some drinks.

Ed nodded "i get that...by the way...Is that Christopher Hall as in...The Halls? The ones that own half of LA?"he questioned

Blair nodded "the one and only...he's currently studying politics and history at the Ivy's"she added as she shrugged "don't make it a big deal though"she laughed even though she was glad that someone knew who he was which meant it would get back to Dom anyways.

For the past week, Dominic tried to keep Blair off his mind and tried not to even be bothered by the fact that she hardly spoke to him. However each time they past each other and greeted he couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed. The progress he felt he had made, was now gone without a trace and all that was left was a simple morning greeting. He didn't bring up the party anymore since he didn't want to seem bothered by the fact that they hadn't spoke about it anymore. Eventually as the week ended he had no choice but to seek a date elsewhere. Lucky for him his choices were plenty but he decided to stick with Stacy. For one she was hot, quite easily able to attract attention to them and he was sure he wouldn't end up bored or alone at the end of the night if he brought the blonde along with him.

As soon as the night hit, Dominic drove over to her estate and picked her up before heading over to Bass' which was already packed with cars from the people showing up. Walking in he was already swarmed by people looking to talk and unsurprisingly the topic of Blair was brought up. He wasn't surprised people were asking why the two stopped talking but he was surprised to hear she had showed up with Chris.

"Christopher Hall? Are you sure that's him?" Dominic questioned frowning. "I don't think she'd be able to get Chris to come with her out here."

"But it's true," One of the girls mentioned as he pointed the pair out to him in the crowd. "I've seen the two walk in together. I don't know how she got Mr. LA to come but they are here together..."

Stacy frowned. "Oh who cares, She probably just brought his company for the night. If you have money it's quite easy to get people to tagalong with you right?" She mentioned so they wouldn't be too impressed.

Blair enjoyed her evening with the company of Christopher while also keeping an eye on the crowds. She had to admit, when she met Chris at first during the summer she didn't particularly like him but getting to know him a bit more and now talking to him and spending the evening, she changed her mind completely.
"want to dance?"he asked her as he took her hand and led her onto the dance floor while others watched
Blair chuckled "you're bringing quite a bit of attention to us...not that i mind but how do you get used to it?"she asked him
Chris shrugged "i was raised like that so i don't notice it as much as others do"he explained while looking around "i really hope you won't mind it for the evening...the novelty will wear off soon"he mentioned as he looked around the venue. Spotting Dominic, he looked back at Blair "is that the Castro kid?"he asked curious
Blair looked over and nodded "yeah, Dominic Castro, the future heir to the Castro business"she said "how do you know him?"she asked surprised slightly
"my family had some good business with his...i guess they must have mentioned him couple of times."he said nonchalantly before focusing on her once again.

Ignoring the pair for the moment Dominic and Stacy continued to chat with those around them until someone mentioned that Christopher and Blair were dancing. Watching the pair dance, Dominic frowned each time the two moved in close to each other and chat or whenever someone commented how glamorous the two seemed to be together. It was easy for people to get memorized by the pairing but he personally didn't think they were anything special. Seeing the two off in their own little world, Dominic decided to head over to the drink table and have himself a cup or two while waiting for the song to end. "Guess that explains the sudden switch in dates..." He mumbled to himself while he tried to keep himself distracted for the time being.

Once the song ended, Blair walked over to their seats and chatted with him for quite a while before smiling politely "excuse me for a moment, going to use the girls room"she stated as she headed over to the bathroom. Spotting Dominic at the bar, she decided to go over and tease him a little "nice choice of a date there Dominic, Stacy Wembly, why am i not surprised?"she asked him chuckling and leaving him to finally use the bathroom.

Hearing a familiar voice , He noticed she was by herself which was shocking enough. Hearing her comment he frowned before he decided to switch it to a smile. "Well not everyone can get a huge name to some to a small town event like this. Actually if I knew we were competing for who could get the bigger name to come I probably would've gotten someone more special..." he said before he placed his cup down. Seeing her try and walk away he reached over and grabbed her wrist pulling her back towards him. "Now where do you think you're going?" he questioned. "You're not going to strike up a conversation and think you can just leave," he mentioned as he closed the space between them. "We haven't been talking much this last week, I think we've got some catching up to do."

"it wasn't a competition Dominic, he was in town for the weekend, he wanted a date so i invited him here...sorry to disappoint Castro...i'm not someone that will waste on a shelf for too long"she laughed as she walked before he grabbed her by her arm "to the bathroom and away from you"she stated simply before she was pulled close to him. Gasping out of surprise, she calmed her breathing since it made her chest rise and fall too visibly and she did not like that. Of course her body reacted to his since she was attracted to him a little bit even though he was like a complete jerk to her.

Standing there, she didn't break eye contact with him and sighed "we didn't have anything to talk about therefore i don't see the point in us talking about stupid things. Now if you'll excuse me, i would like to actually go to the ladies room"she stated as she finally put some space between them.

"Oh really? So you're sure it's just a coincidence, not just to try and show me up? It's not a competition but I do think there was some other reason why you swapped me for Hall over there. So what's the real story?" He questioned noticing as she locked gazes with him. From her eyes he could tell she wasn't going to back down but at the same time the stand off seemed to be stirring some emotions up between the two of them. From a close distance he was able to truly appreciate how stunning she looked and given the elegant event it only added to her sophisticated appeal. Changing his grip from her arm to her waist, as soon as he felt her try and create some space he tightened his hold to keep her in place.

"Again I'll ask you what's the rush? You may not have much to talk about but I'm in a talkative mood and you are going to lend me your ear," he said leaning in close. "If I kissed you right now do you think your boyfriend will get jealous?" He questioned looking past her to notice they were gathering some attention as planned. "If you want to be popular now would be a good time to show it," he added figuring he could drive Christopher away from her if he made it seem like she was interested in him.
