Hearing him say she wasn't his type and she wasn't interesting "then why would you invite her if she's not your type or isn't interesting enough?"she questioned since it didn't make any sense to her. When he offered to take the conversation elsewhere, she pouted with a raised eyebrow but as soon as he added there wouldn't be anything funny, she agreed "how about walk around the gardens? He seems to have quite the grounds"she stated as she set her glass down and walked out the back with him and into the gardens. Walking in silence for a bit, she decided to ask him a question "so why exactly do you, well...date Stacy casually? What's the point of that?"she asked "and i'm sure she's not the only girl you have on the side..."She added so he wouldn't think she wasn't aware of his behaviour.

Edward sighed "wow you really are determined not to let me see you huh?"he asked before she answered she didn't have a date but then asked him quickly about his date "actually i'm here by myself...as a host"he stated with a shrug "want to grab a drink with me or would you rather get rid of me?"he questioned

Hearing she did have a boyfriend prior he was a bit curious but decided not to ask. Instead he waited for her to answer as she gave him the cutest pout in return to his offer. Eventually he was glad that she agreed within moments since Stacy seemed to be zeroing in on his location. "Walk in the gardens sound wonderful to me. Let's go," He said as he grabbed her hand and headed to the nearest exit.

Being outside he sighed with relief before letting Blair's hand go. "Well now that's one less thing to worry about, didn't bring my drink though," he said regretfully but figured her company should be enough for the time being. Walking the stone walkway, he glanced over at her every now and then to steal a glance of her beauty. He certainly did think the elegant atmosphere suited her well. His thoughts were interrupted as the topic went back to his date. "Why? Because I wasn't going to come here alone. Why not take the number one girl in school. Haven't you learned a thing or two about reputation yet?" he questioned finding the question silly. "She may not be the only girl I have in my little roster but she is perfect for events like this. Her family owns a pharmaceutical company so she has the cash and the looks. I can't ask for more."

Brooke was surprised. "You come to a party alone?" she said since it almost seemed unheard of. "I could've sworn you hosted parties before and still had someone. Whatever happened with you and Jen?" she questioned since she kept a few tabs on him before hearing the drink offer. "Sure I don't mind, I wouldn't try and get rid of you...at least not yet," She laughed.

Once outside, Blair walked along the pathway, carrying herself as always confidently and with class. She always loved these kind of events where they could dress up and suit up and everyone looked elegant. Noticing him stealing couple of glances at her, she stopped while he explained the rational behind him taking Stacy to the event. "You could have picked a classier lady honestly...and yes. I know about reputation quite a bit...mine went up on the scale thanks to the choice of my date"she stated shortly before he mentioned Stacy was quite wealthy "oh, is she now? Well good for you, too bad you can't hold a conversation with her but then again it's not the conversation you're looking for with her aren't you"she stated with a bit of judgement in her voice. She still didn't understand the way he was thinking and she certainly did not like the fact that he treated women as nothing more but a bed buddy he could casually sleep with and then not speak to her for a while. She also did not understand why the girls were so stupid to go along with that kind of a relationship.

"why is that so surprising? Honestly, Brooke you have no faith in me at all"he commented as he led her to the bar and took a drink for her before passing it to her. "Jen and i broke up, she cheated on me with some college guy while she was visiting her sister up in Ohio"he explained with a shrug "no big deal...we weren't exactly on good terms when it happened"he added "what about you? anyone you've got in sight?"he asked as he got himself some whisky

Hearing her opinion on Stacy, he chuckled a bit. "Classier lady? Like you?" He questioned wondering what she was thinking before she pointed out her choice in date being the right kind of person to take to these kind of events. "Yeah sure, Mr. LA is an okay choice I guess." He said reluctantly. With judgment in her voice, he could tell quite easily that she wasn't exactly impressed with his overall outlook on woman. "Hey to be fair I wasn't planning on doing anything with her tonight. We are just accompanying each other to this event and most likely going our own ways as soon as this wraps up," He explained.

Brooke decided not to answer that question as she got her drink. Hearing that he had broken up with Jen she frowned. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know. I never understand how someone could just cheat like that..." She said before he said it wasn't a big deal. "Not being on good terms is not an excuse to hurt someone like that..." She mumbled before hearing the question. "Nope, no one really..." She said as she quickly drank some of cup to put an end to that topic.

Blair looked over at him amused "like myself, i'm sure there are plenty more girls that are suitable for such events and are ladylike...and by that i mean they aren't associated with being a slut"She said shortly before he tried to defend himself by saying he wasn't going to sleep with Stacy "i'm sure that's what you though...you're the schools Casanova, everyone knows your reputation and you don't exactly hide it yourself"she pointed out as she stopped to admire the gorgeous flower bed with fountain in the middle of it. "i think we should head back, i need to get back to my date and you need to get back to yours"she said after a while since she felt bad for leaving Christopher and Stacy like that.

Edward shook his head "don't be apologizing, there is nothing to be sorry about"he stated as he smiled at her "It doesn't justify it but i don't blame her wanting something else...we're young as well...I didn't expect her to stay with me for the rest of her life"he pointed out before he heard she was single "you're joking"he stated laughing "do we really have idiots in school?"he asked her as a thought hit him...Brooke was amazing, beautiful and someone he felt comfortable talking to "so if i invited you to coffee...would you refuse?"he asked confidently since he was never shy with women.

Dominic chuckled. "Well I'll keep that in mind the next time we have one of these ritzy events," He said. Hearing about his reputation he shrugged. "That's true I don't try to hide it because I don't see any shame in it. I'm young, handsome, wealthy. This is the prime time to sort through the batch and try to find my diamond. If I ever find the lady worth treasuring then maybe I'll consider things another way but so far I think my strategy works fine. I get to have some fun and they get to have me. Fair deal," he said as they stopped by a flower bed. Hearing her mention that they should head back, he shook his head before wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Aren't you having enough fun with me? We don't need to go back," he mentioned. "We could leave now and they wouldn't know any better." He pointed out.

Brooke was surprised by how reasonable he took the whole experience. Since entering high school, she was so use to lumping him together with most of the guys but she could clearly see he was more thoughtful than others. Hearing his comment she chuckled before she was surprised by his little offer. "Me? Well...I don't think I would refuse." She said still a little shocked that he'd ask her out.

Chuckling at his way of thinking, she shook her head "Don't you think that the diamond might not want a guy that slept with hundreds of women?"she asked him before he tried to be all charming and sneaky with her. Moving away from his hold, Blair smiled "there you go again..."she stated fed up "i'm going back, see you in school Dominic...but think about what i said...when you find the diamond will you be up to her standard?"She questioned him before leaving gracefully back to the party and back to Christopher before asking him to go.

Edward smirked "good, coffee date it is then...Sometime during a week Ms. Supermodel. Now excuse me but i have to go and host"he chuckled leaving her and going to speak to other guests and say good night to those that were already leaving.

Dominic shook his head. "Nah, by the time I find her hopefully she never hears about the number of women I slept with. Either that or she's very forgiving and looks at those times as practice," he said before she got out of his hold. "Hey, I was just trying to talk and keep you warm from this cold night," he said before she dismissed him and left him with a few choice words. Watching her figure as she walked back to the house, he sighed figuring he should head on out before Stacy finds him.

Walking to his car he thought about what she said and shook his head. "This is me we're talking about. Of course I'll exceed her standards," he mumbled as he started his car and drove on home. Texting Stacy on the way that he wasn't feeling good so he left he knew he could smooth things over come Monday.

The next day, Blair got up rested before she looked at her night table "oh fashion show"she mumbled as she got up and went to shower before she went ahead to get a new dress, her hair done and her nails done. Sitting at the nail bar, she decided to text Ed to go with her to the fashion show since she didn't have anyone to go as Brooke was walking the carpet.

Once the evening rolled around, Blair got picked up by Edward and the two headed over to the Herrera House. Of course paparazzi snapped the two together and asked questions but ignoring them they took their seats "glad you came with, i would have been so bored by myself"she admitted as she texted Brooke to wish her good luck and to break a leg.
Ed smirked "pleasure, i had nothing better to do anyways but why not Brooke?"he asked curiously
Blair smiled "oh...she has other plans"she stated as she noticed the lights dimming "alright let's enjoy the show....I'm sure you will""she stated with a sneaky grin on her face.

Getting in from the party of course Dominic was on damage control thanks to ditching Stacy as soon as the party was over. As expected she was upset but he managed to smooth things over by promising her a date that evening. As soon as the night fell he answered his door and noticed the bubbly blonde smiling as she kissed his cheek as a greeting.

"Hello you, I'm still angry you left me at Bass' event," She pointed out. "But a dinner at Le Bernardin surely makes up for it a little."

"As I thought it would," Dominic said as he walked her to his car and held the door open. Hearing her phone went off he noticed she seemed to roll her eyes at the message. "Parents?"

Stacy shook her head as she sighed. "No Julie. She's at Herrera House attending the show. She just told me Blair and Edward are on a date together and sent a pic," she said showing him. "Seriously for the last few weeks it's been Hartley this, and Hartley that. I'm sick of it."

Looking at the picture it very much looked like the two were on a date and he wondered how Bass managed to put the moves on Blair without him noticing. Shaking his head for now, he just chuckled. "Well I'm sure news about her will die down before long," He said as he closed her door and prepared to drive them into the city.

Getting her last touch up, Brooke continued to check her phone as she waited to get called to line up. Getting a message she noticed it was from Blair and smiled at the good luck wishes. Before long she was called over to the line and prepared to do her walk. Once the lights were dimmed and the music was going she climbed the steps to prepare to walk the runway.Despite being nervous she managed to meet her mark and walk in time with the music. Striking a subtle pose to the flashing cameras she maintained a bit of confidence all the way until she finished her run on stage. After modeling a few designs she came out at the end and made one last walk to close the show before they were free to head to the after party.

"Brooke you did a fantastic job," Rick mentioned as he hugged her backstage. "They are already talking about you. Most couldn't believe you were a new face."

Brooke was surprised but smiled as she hugged him back. "Really? I was so nervous though. I think a stumbled a little..." She admitted.

Rick however shook his head. "Ridiculous. You are going to be a top model in no time if you keep listening to my guidance. Come on I've got some designers I want to introduce you to," He said as he made her take his arm and escorted her around to show off his amazing find.

Edward watched her with a smug smile on his lips "you looked incredible..."he said before he looked at Blair and the manager talking "they don't particularily like themselves"he mentioned as he took her arm and spotted a friend of his "i think you might want to meet someone"he said leading her towards a very well known man. "Jimmy, good to see you again..."he said happily shaking the mans hand "this is Brooke Castro, she's the new model for Elite agency and Carolina Herrera apparently"he introduced her
Jimmy smiled "lovely to meets you Brooke, Jimmy Choo"he introduced himself "is this your first show?"he asked

Brooke chatted with a few people she was introduced to until she heard Blair and smiled seeing her. "Hey, you made it! Thank you, Aw you know you didn't have to get me anything," She said before noticing Edward was with her and immediately blushed a bit. "I...I didn't know you were coming," She said shocked before she figured Blair must've brought him along since she never gave the details of the walk. Since the two seemed tied up she decided to follow Bass over to what seemed like a VIP area and noticed who he was referring to. Standing in awe of the great designer she nodded before smiling. "Please the pleasure is all mines, It's really an honor to meet you," she said before nodding. "It was my first show. Hopefully not my last," she said a bit embarrassed.

"Well it's lovely seeing you again Ms. Hartley, have you given my offer any more thought?" He questioned as he placed an arm around her. Rick was surprised before he laughed. "When they told me you were a splitting image of your mother I didn't expect it to come down to your personality as well. Well as they say like mother, like daughter. You know you're quite witty for a little highschooler," he mentioned before lifting her chin. "It's a shame really. You're prettier than your friend. If she could book Herrera already I could only imagine the designers that would want you..." he mentioned. "Tell me then Blair, wouldn't it be nice to be able to become a designer at an early age? To be taken care of without any worries at all? I mean you don't want to live off your parents forever do you? Be your mother's shadow?" He asked as his thumb brushed along her lips. "There's always charming guys looking to take care of pretty girls like you. This is the prime time to use that to your advantage," he said.

When he mentioned that Brooke was below Blair, she glared at him and shoved his hand away from her chin "still not interested Rick"she said coldly before he moved to a more physical touch and tactic "if you really thing it's going to work on me you're completely wrong Richard, i am not interested in anything that requires your help... I can build an empire from ground up if necessary but i don't...that's the greatest advantage i have. I have the basics done by my mother, my job is now to expand it"she stated slapping his hand away from herself again "but i can tell you one thing, you just made yourself a new enemy.."she said with an innocent smile "you'll see, you won't be remembered soon"she stated walking away.

Noticing Edward was leaving with Brooke, she left by herself and headed to her house since she didn't have any plans for the rest of the night.
