Well that may be an effective sales strategy for la-la land, but in reality and in Japan, people don't buy games based off gender equality.
No, I'm pretty sure you don't need to sell sex to sell your product. As I've said, gameplay alone should be the golden ticket. I could give you plenty of examples of games that have not relyed on sex to sell them.

I know I never played DOA cause i was looking for strong female characterisation. I was looking for some bounce.
Well, that says alot about you, doesn't it? Plus, don't you have porn for that sort of thing? Or, what about a game that's based on sex alone, like hentai?

Also this is asia we're talking about. I can't see why a foreign company should break tradition to market to a small american demographic. This is the company that brought us DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball. Clearly they're not making these for women.
As I and someone else has pointed out, the female gamer community is not as small as you think it is. We make up slightly less than half of the community. Why would you not want to target that half as well as the other, and not make as much money?
Slightly off-topic, I'm just really ******** tired of seeing women marketed off in games as bouncy ******** or trophies to be won. We deserve better roles in games. I honestly think it would reduce sexism and discrimination if we were seen in a better light. Is that so hard to ask for?
